Do not go here if you have problems with impulse purchases. My hubby insisted we go back the next day, because that is how awesome the items were. This place has a GORGEOUS selection of shows and purses. They also have a small bit very nicely curated selection of outerwear. Very worth checking out just to see shoes that are also works of art. Don't forget to look at the website first for a 10% discount, and check in on Yelp to get a free pair of cute earrings if you spend over $200 (as of this review). Very nice people work there as well. read more

Super kind service! My husband and I found this place walking by and the most beautiful, fur jacket caught my eye. I honestly think the store was closing, but the staff was so generous to let us come in and take a look! I wish I would have gotten the names of the lady and gentleman working Monday night! Their service was exceptional, and I will be one of my stops next time in New Orleans! read more

RUDE store manager, she's running around all frantic and irritable, it's not my fault there is a delivery truck blocking traffic. Overpriced merchandise, wanted $128 for a woven bag that is mostly fabric and part fake leather! Might as well spend $200 more for real leather. The brand is BC Bags which is cheap anyway. I alerted the sales lady about her behavior, go work at McDonald's you have NO business dealing with customers. Just see how overpriced they are, $28 more with them read more

I've walked by this little shoe boutique many times, with no good reason to enter. One walk by with my wife the week before Christmas is all it took to prompt me to return and make a purchase. I didn't expect five-star customer service, but that's exactly what I received. Spotlessly clean shop. Not a huge selection, but fun to shop. The clerk was so helpful in selecting a boot that I knew my wife would love. The sale was super easy. I was in and out in minutes. I was a hero on Christmas morning, however the boot fit was a bit too tight, so I walked back to the store to exchange for a half size larger. Different clerks, same five-star service. This time, the boot was a bit too large, so back again I went. This time I was helped by the owner, who was a pleasure to deal with as well. Thank you SBD for making "shopping local" such a great experience! read more

Shoe Be Do is my favorite store and a must when in New Orleans! The staff is kind and knowledgeable about the products and designers. They will help you find a shoe that not only fits your foot, but your personality! I have never left the store without buying something and never worn a product without receiving numerous compliments! They have an incredible selection of unique and trendy shoes that you will not be able to find anywhere else! I recently purchased the Melissa Papeta+Rider Sandal for summer and not only are the comfortable, but the shoe is scented so it will never smell bad!! If I had to pick one shoe from my wish list it would be the Azura Lannister Mule. read more

This unique little shoe store is THE place to go. If you want something different from everywhere else you shop, this is your stop. I have a couple of pairs from here & get compliments on these particular pairs more than any other ones I own (I own a lot of shoes). Not only are their shoes unique, but incredibly comfortable. When you walk it, you are not overwhelmed with something in every corner. They have carefully crafted the store to be welcoming & have eyepopping beauty everywhere. You will want to try on everything you see there. The variety of the selection is spot on. When you add the wonder staff.... you truly cannot go wrong. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Andre. He is just a gem. The two staff members there were Art & Bennet. This amazing team will make your shopping experience a pleasure & want to comeback. Honestly, the shoe selection & this staff is the reason I am back year after year. Thank you to everyone there!!! read more

Shoe Be Do. From the minute the Raincoats caught my eye from the street I charged right in. I was then surrounded by so many pairs of adorable boots for the upcoming season. I was greeted by a friendly, helpful staff that helped me and I purchased not one but FOUR pairs of shoes from them. The shoes were unique in style and sold at an amazing price. Affordable style and comfort is a win-win. Go take a look, you will not be disappointed. read more

Just bought these fabulous Cape Robbin Extreme Slides at Shoe Be Do USA. I can't say enough about this fabulous boutique. They have a second location Nola Foot Candy and they are just as amazing. Both carry a vast selection of imported shoes from across the world. Handbags, Clothing and Jewelry can also be found here. New Orleans has such unique art and these shoes are works of art. The Sneakers, Boots and every heel in between are all equally amazing. I now have my eye on these Unity.In.Diversity Alamea Loafer IS051 ~ Skull Sneakers in 7.5.~I found 16 pairs that I want. SHOE ADDICTS LISTEN UP!!!! Do not miss this shoe store in the French Quarter. It may be what heaven looks like! You can go to any shoe store in any city (fill in the blank) and you will see the same stuff. Not here!!! The selection is interesting, unique, cool and highly edited so you're not over whelmed. It is just perfect!!!! Bennett is absolutely wonderful. She left me alone to my own devices but was close by when I needed to try things on. I left with several outstanding pieces including shoes and a wonderful cashmere and fur cape. Here's the best part...the prices were crazy good. Nobody loves a good shoe high like a shoe addict!!! Love this store. What a gem in New Orleans with Amazing shoes! I stopped by here and their sister store, Nola Foot Candy, every day of my vacation trying to decide from the many gorgeous shoes. Stacy was such a huge help and so incredibly patient and kind. I left with 4 pairs. Their prices and sale prices are not to be missed. This has become my favorite shoe store and a must visit on your trip to New Orleans. Ask for Stacy, she is so sweet! read more

My new favorite shoe store. I have never seen such amazing and intriguing shoes, EVER! I came to New Orleans on vacation and while exploring around the French Quarter, I found this little gem and fell in LOVE. I stopped in yesterday because the shoes in the store window were so unique and GORGEOUS. If I had all the money in the world, I would buy every single pair of shoes they had! However, they had a sale section and it was a great deal. $39 for a pair of shoes, If you pay in cash. Well how could I say no to that?! I found a STUNNING pair of pink furry little heels and I instantly fell in love and I had to buy them! I wore them out that night around New Orleans and received tons of compliments. I loved this store so much that I came back in today and found another pair of sale shoes that were SO UNIQUE. I had to buy them. They are silver and they look like modern Cinderella shoes. Again, I received tons of compliments. If I lived in this area, I would be in trouble because this is where my paycheck would go! Absolutely adorable shoes & I love the personality to each shoe. read more

Went here since I was told about it by my friends who visited months prior. Checked out the website and couldn't wait to browse. The back half of the store was $50 so I couldn't leave without something. I love the decor as well as the shoe quality. I love how the sizes that are left are on the bottom of each shoe. The sales associate was helpful in helping me make a decision. I would have gotten two but it wasn't a shopping trip so I got a designer pair of sandals. They felt like I was walking on a cloud. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in town although the prices in line are a little less. It's nice to be able to try on shoes Bc I have a funny foot. No refunds works for me as you can not just go to this store and find only one pair. read more

This place is a cute little shoe store. Not the cheapest but they were having a sale when we came in and the prices with the discount weren't that bad, with an additional discount if you paid in cash, which I did. The person behind the counter (owner?) was very helpful and nice too. Quite a few unique shoes that you don't see everywhere, so nice place to get a little "souvenir" for yourself when you go to New Orleans. read more

I could have sworn that I've been in this shoe store in years past & wasn't impressed with the shoes. However, on my most recent trip, I stopped to admire the shoes of someone walking down Chartres. She pointed out the store & told me that she'd recently bought them there. A few days later, I went in to discover a plethora of beautiful & unique footwear. (They must have changed their inventory since my last visit.) The salesman/manager, a fashionable man in his own right, was super helpful. I tried on several shoes, but walked out with two pairs - both of which were on sale for $39 apiece! Can you believe that?! He gave me a card & told me that they have another store over on Jackson Square, NoLa Foot Candy. An hour or so later, I was browsing in that store, too. I found some shoes that I liked, but planned to buy them the next day. Unfortunately, they were closed the next day. I happened to walk by Shoe Be Do again & noticed that they were open. Actually, they weren't technically open, but were doing inventory. Even so, when I mentioned my dilemma to the same manager, he said that he'd meet me at the other store & open it so that I could buy the shoes that I wanted. Thus, I met him at the other store, picked up the shoes I wanted AND bought yet another pair at Shoe Be Do. All of the shoes that I bought were on sale & were a great value. The manager went out of his way to help me, which virtually ensures my return business on my next trip to New Orleans. Unfortunately, his name wasn't on the card, but he's quite stylish, so you'll know who he is when you shop at Shoe Be Do. read more

Worse purchase ever! Falled in love with a pair of sandals at first sight couldn't wait to wear them and get them home. But after 3 wears they fall apart. I bought a pair of the Julian Hakes Mojito shoes here - went by the window and just had to have them. I did research online before I came here, found prices for the Mojito to be comparable or more than Shoe Be Do and ended up purchasing here since I couldn't find the color I wanted in my size anywhere else. I would have paid about $30 less had I bought them from the Shoe Be Do website (prob due to the sales taxes in New Orleans which they do not charge online - free shipping too) but no big deal since I wanted to take them with me and not wait. I got great service from the guy that waited on me, though and overall I was happy with my experience. read more

This store has some of the most amazing shoes I've ever seen outside of Barney's New York. Some of them are so crazy, you've got to at least got to go in and look. I ended up going in during their buy one, get one 50% off sale. I found a very cute pair of boots and a trendy pair of heels. I thought that with the 50% sale (that's been, oddly, going on for the last 5 months, mind you.) the price of the shoes would balance out and (while they would probably be a little more expensive than online) they'd be reasonable. I assumed things would even out with shipping. I was so wrong. The prices at this place, even with the 50% off of one of them, are out of control. You can find almost all these shoes, even the cheaper ones, dramatically cheaper online or at other stores. Most of the boots sold at 50$, you can find online for 20$-ish and the 300-600$ heels are found in the 150-300$ range. I know I was foolish for not checking online, but my goodness, I didn't think I would be getting this gouged. Even in the French Quarter. The Juicy Couture bags, that you can buy retail for 120$, are sold at 240$. Come on, guys. Really? I also learned the hard way, that there is no returns. Even though it didn't say that on the receipt and I wasn't told that by the clerk. The people who work there wont treat you terribly well if you aren't acting and dressing like you have money. It's sad, since this is one of the more fashion forward places in the area. read more

A cool store and they carry more than just shoes. As mentioned by others, there are handbags/purses. There are also accessories and when I was there, they had these gorgeous Missoni capes in shades of red or blue. I wanted to love this place, but they overcharge too much for the styles they stock. If you comparison shop at other retailers and online, you'll find that Shoe Be DO charges easily 10-20% more for much of what they carry, even when it's on sale. I know that it's hard to be a brick-and-mortar store in the Internet era, and I sympathize with a business needing to pay the rent, but that's a little ridiculous. They also had no size 11s when I came in, which is not that uncommon a size these days, with people getting taller and all. I still liked the place and wanted to give them some business, so I tried browsing online. The site is very hard to navigate and doesn't let you narrow inventory by size. It would have taken me too long to make the purchase, so I ended up buying the same style for less at another store. Sorry, Shoe Be DO. read more

I just bought my favorite pair of shoes here. Service was great, sales were great, all about this place.

Well, I loved the store HOWEVER, I went to their website after visiting the store to look at their shoes and found that I paid $30 MORE in-store then the price they had listed online. Retail is already 65% markup so for the store to markup their prices for those who shop with them in-store even higher --is wrong! I called the next business day to ask them for a $30 in-store credit and the owner said flat NO. Shoe Be Do commits highway robbery. Visitors BEWARE! read more

If I could give them no stars, I would. Owner is extremely rude, doesn't seem to care about getting business, so don't bother coming here unless you want to be treated like dirt. Spitting in front of a person while they are walking outside and flicking a cigarette at people? Absolutely disgusting. Everything is outlandishly pricey. It's ridiculous. Will NEVER recommend to anyone, will ALWAYS tell everyone about my horrible experience here. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Shop here if you don't mind buying defective products that you are unable to get a refund on. We discovered this cute little shop while wandering around the French Quarter. They had a fun pair of shoes on the mannequin outside the clothing shop next door (with the same owners). I purchased a pair of unique shoes (that they only had one pair of in each size). I am used to shopping in reputable stores that treat customers fairly, so I concerned myself with how the shoes looked and felt and I didn't look for defects. After I got back to my hotel room, I discovered that there was a big stain on the heel. (It looked like glue that had soaked through the fabric.) I took the unworn shoes and the receipts back to the store and pointed out the defect. The sales clerk offered us an exchange within the store, but the same shoes weren't available in my size. I requested a refund. He pointed to the sign by the register and said that most stores in The Quarter don't give refunds. When we protested, the clerk indicated to us that because he usually shops in thrift stores, he finds it completely acceptable to purchase clothing that is stained and/or defective. This store is NOT charging thrift store prices, so I do NOT find stains or defects in the merchandise acceptable. read more

Stopped in to buy my mother a pair of shoes, She wasn't having the best of weeks. I dunno what the these other reviewers are referencing. I had great service. André was so helpful. Emily, the other sales associate knew very well if a shoe I picked up was in stock in the size I needed or if it had sold out in the size. My mom being the more modest mother she is, wouldn't go for the very unique high detailed forward fashion shoes that are so popular here. But we did find a fun boot that she just loves. It was black with fun embroidery all over it. She fell head over heels, ha ha fun pun that was, for her gift. Fits like a glove she said. Couldn't be happier with the service, quality and value for my dollar spent!! Will return again for gifting. Thanks guys for all your help and for going above to make my mom feel so special! read more
