Giambattista Vali coat for $599
Josephine C.

This place is great if you have a certain size, budget, and style. They didn't have much in the large/Xlarge section. Keep in kind they have a lot of designer stuff so size run small. Great selection of clothes, but jewelry and bags were just alright. Everything's deeply discounted, but if it's expensive to begin with then it's still pricey at the sale price. Saw a Giambattista Valli blazer for $599. Would probably retail at $1500+, so yeah it's a bargain. But who can drop $600 like that? Overheard the cashier telling a customer that their total charge was $220. There really isn't anything in this store that's fabulous and affordable. But if you're wanting a couture piece for a Mardi Gras ball, then definitely check out the store.

I finally had a chance to visit UAL. Pretty cool store, I love the finds but its extremely jammed packed, hard to move around. They had an assortment of sizes and some cool finds such as a cool military style vest with patches and a variety of awesome purses starting in the $50 range. So many shirts in $15 range and leggings around $10-$12 so everything was pretty reasonable to me. Some great accessory buys as well, the necklaces were awesome. They also have a $1.99 sunglass rack as well. The staff was friendly and I had a good experience in the store. Definitely some good buys. Parking can be a bit tricky, it is in the french quarter. Depending on the time of day you go ( I say in the am during the week and/or anytime during the week before 6) you can park across the street in premium parking for $10, 2 other lots right around. Also some street meter parking if you lucky. ( If you want to make a trip of it, one street over is Urban Outfitters, French Connection, Wish, So Good and a few others)

This romper (yes, it's a romper!) was only $20! (On the right)

Best clothing deals in Nola, hands down. UAL's inventory ranges from cute simple basics to high-end designer (think Oscar de la Renta), all displayed together in a happy hodge-podge. Unfortunately, that means it can be hard to find stuff in your size and price range - that's where the staff comes in. I went in looking for a white button-down and bought one by eleventy for $50, discounted from $540. A staffer also picked out some other pieces he thought I'd like "just to try" and I ended up buying five of them! I had such a blast and have never had such good customer service - I can't wait to come back!

Great place o come and find hidden treasures. It's a hit or miss. We went two days in a row and found better things to second day. Maybe they restocked or I just got lucky! Bought some amazing Alexander Wang sandals in black and in blue original price $500 but marked at $126 plus a 50%!! To say the least I was winning today! Anyway every time we come to Nola, we always stop at you AUL.

Very good prices for designer goods. The store is packed but it's worth taking the time to dig through for treasures. Good service to boot!

When I worked at a Pandora store in Chicago several years ago, I was made aware that every city has their exclusive charms, and I knew I needed a New Orleans one. The sales associate with red hair (she never gave me her name) who helped us was really sweet, it didn't take long for her to notice that I needed some help, and she even left the charms out for me to look/touch while she went to grab her glasses. I can appreciate her for trusting that I wouldn't walk right out the store with the product, and the one charm that caught my eye was the Cathedral with a blue backdrop. She was sweet to explain to us that the cathedral is right around the corner just walking distance from the shop, and we actually saw it right by Jackson Square on our way to Bungalows. I love how this is a boutique but they also carry so many different brands of jewelry (Alex & Ani, Brighton, etc), and they had a designated Pandora section that's visible right when you enter. I'd recommend Bungalows to anyone in the area looking for some Pandora charms or a boutique.

So many great gifts that represent New Orleans…read more I wasn't really in the market for anything, just browsing, but then I found a lovely Magnolia patterned dog collar - perfect for my beagador named MAGNOLIA! Then I found out from the shop attendant that the state flower of Louisiana is the Magnolia! What??? My boyfriend's mom was born & raised in NOLA and loved our dog. She has been gone for a year and half, so finding this out strangely makes me feel connected to her and that she is still around. :*) Anyway, the sweet shop guy asked me to tell him the story of how my dog and I found each other. I recounted the tale of how I found her at PAWS Chicago, where she came from originally (Oklahoma), that she had a brother named "Steel", how she saved me from a life of stress, and then our connection to NOLA. I always appreciate when someone can create a warm and fuzzy moment. So thank you, Shop Guy! The collar is high quality all around - material and construction. I have purchased MANY custom collars for my baby girl and this has been the best so far. It's worth the money because I know it will last for a long time. I will be checking out their website for Christmas gift ideas since we won't be back until next year!

NOLA Couture has developed custom fabrics and ribbons that show off your Gulf Coast pride in a classic preppy style that you can wear to office or church without coming off too wacky. I'll probably be heading back to the online store for more gifts for upcoming birthdays. Fans of LSU, Bama, Tulane, SMU (oddly), Florida and other southern colleges can find some neat things here, too. NOLA Couture even can do custom designs for you (your school, business logo, etc.), and shipping is free for orders over $65. Prices are not cheap (ranging from $10 for a laser etched glass to $95 for a loomed scarf), but the quality of the all the goods appears solid. If you are looking for $10 T-shirts about drinking on Bourbon, this isn't your shop, but then you knew that!
