Good store, but you have to be careful on prices. I wanted to buy printer cartridges and found the blank ones were prices reasonably well, but the color cartridges were double the price of anywhere else ...... Still, bought a nice bike for my daughter for $110 - can't really get one any cheaper anywhere else. read more

Usually I have great experience in target, but today I got mega roasted by a older target worker. After looking for a worker for over 20 mins I decided to use a phone to call the worker. Unfortunately I didn't expect the scolding I would receive for trying to use the phone they leave around the store. Upon seeing me using the phone she proceeded to yell at me for "hanging up" on her customer (the phone was hung up). She then told me that she did not have the item I was looking for. After asking a different employee I was informed and showed that exact item. Target will always have a place in my heart but the service really need to get stepped up read more

I just tried shopping in the girls department and it was a disaster. I have never seen such disorganized racks of clothing. NOTHING was in the same category, with like items together. I gather they are having a hard time staffing because the Oceanside store is so organized and all like items are together and on the same rack.. I think the manager of this store should take a look at this department and demand someone fix it. I get that now and them a customer will put the wrong item back on the wrong rack, this is not the case and completely impossible to shop this department the way it is. read more

I just did the drive up and the wrong item was handed to me. I had to go back to the store, wait in line only to be told I couldn't return the item and I have to wait 24 hours. I could go through the store and pick the right item my self, if i could do that I would've just done it lady!!! I told her I couldn't since I had food in the car and was carrying my child. This location took me back to a time in my life when I lived in Oklahoma... Yah I know, pretty bad. I headed over to Target today during my lunch break to pick up a few household necessities. Let me start by saying, i'm not a fan of North County. Anyways, moving on... this store is filled with a lot of middle aged mothers dressed in baggy college sweatshirts and lee jeans and there children eatting bags of chips and putting them back on the shelves. The empoyees are not much better; doc martin wearing white women with blonde hair and roots about 3 months grown in. I approached the checkout and an item had wrong up 4.00 more than it was supposed to be, I informed the lady and she proceeded to just give me a blank stare. I waited... and told her again. She brought over her supervisor another lady lookin just as classy as the one helping me and told her to give me the correct price and smiled, snaggle tooth and all. read more

This store has a great selection but is always super crowded and understaffed when I am there. They have an especially great selection of women's clothes & fashion. They usually seem to be stocked with everything (home goods included) but the lines can take away from the fun of shopping at Target. read more

I've been shopping at this Target since I've moved to Encinitas back in 2010 and have experienced their updates. They have the basics down, yet I am impressed with their steady growing selection of groceries (including non-gmo or organic products) which are often times lower priced vs grocery stores. Whether I go during their peak or non-peak times, as a mother with a child i find that the employees have been consistently friendly whether from offering help or at the check out or return lines. The lead members do appear to get more cashiers opening up when it starts piling up. Yes, parking is busy, but it's to be expected with any "super" Target I've been to in other locations. I appreciate its location with it having a baby store, party store, office supplies, furniture stores, pet store, variety of eateries, book store, grocery store, electronic store in proximity. read more

This particular Target store in not what it once, both from customer service and merchandise availability standpoints. Around 9:00 am, I checked out a large bunch of groceries. The checker had green hair, could barely keep her eyes open and admitted to being tired. Obviously her mind was not on the job, as I handed her $2.00 coupon (for something I would not have otherwise bought) and, when I arrived home, the $2.00 amount was never deducted from the total. Obviously she left the coupon on the ledge and forgot to scan it--what a surprise given her totally unaware condition. Sad. read more

i love this target, i have been going for a long time. the store is always clean and i can usually find what i am looking for. staff here is sometimes way under trained, especially at the registers. I have tried to use coupons/shopkick certificates and gotten a lot of blank stares, I've had to help the cashier walk threw the steps. I have had it take so long that i just said forget it. I recently was checked out by Benjamin at the front and he is the best cashier I have had. Love to shout out great service and he was just so nice and friendly and joked with us about their new cc machines. i keep going because of employees like him read more

We went in for a gift and a much needed pain prescription. We were told it would be 15 minutes to get the prescription filled. After almost an hour, we collected the original prescriptions and left to go to our regular pharmacy at Albertson's (San Elijo). I would not recommend this Target for any pharmacy use. read more

Good prices, descent selection and good store hours. The pharmacy hours are terrible and that matches the customer service also. Some cashiers are nice but many are rude. I will be transferring my prescription somewhere else. The best time to go is early or late otherwise it is pretty crazy and takes forever to checkout. Terrible planning for Force Friday, here's an idea target, don't have these events if you don't have enough merchandise to sell. I was in line, like 20 people away from the isle with minimum star wars toys and when I got there, only 3 figures were left. It was a disgrace, I should have gone to toysrus, where they let you use carts and don't limit to each sku number. it was a shame promotion only having so little toys that night, there was like 150 people in line and we didn't get anything. Worst customer service you will ever experience. The customer service manager, Nica, does not know how to process refunds properly and refused to allow my return since she couldn't figure out the computer system. She blamed me for the faulty merchandise. I came in multiple times, and requested to speak with the head store manager, and she would not allow me to. I reached out to Target on Twitter, and they were able to solve my problem. They told me to visit a different store, who was able to immediately process my refund. Terrible, terrible, experience - avoid this store as long as Nica is still employed here. read more

Absolutely horrible. I went into this location to grab a crib that I knew I wanted. I did all the research to figure out what I wanted and asked if we could get help getting the crib we needed from the back, the lady then proceeded to tell me they didn't have the one we were wanting and that they could have it there tomorrow... The sales associate then decided to tell me that I should call other locations to see if they had them in stock while she put away the rest of her products. Where was the customer service in even offering to call for me to see what stores physically had them in stock? Will definitely never return to this location. read more

I wanted thera tears for the eyes, a big refill bottle of softsoap with aloe vera, and massage gel inserts for men's shoes (they only had women's). This is a great Target and was recently remodeled! The location is great, they close late, the staff is friendly, it's never super crowded, It has a Starbucks, and it has fresh groceries; part of the store resembles a mini grocery store. You won't be disappointed shopping here if you like Target! read more

I have to update after my visit today... I love target. It's my go to store. What I don't appreciate is being treated like crap when making a return. After waiting in line for what seemed like forever... The two associates working decided to help one guy that was never in line (keep in mind I'm about 40 weeks pregnant and standing is not my fav).. So they had me wait and when I finally walked up, the lady just stared at me. I just had a baby shower so obviously I had some things I wanted to exchange. I said I didn't have a receipt because it was a gift and she gave me a dirty look asking if I wanted to go shop and come back. After waiting in line?? I said "no, I'll just take a credit bc I may be awhile here." She ignored me, scanned the item and gave me back a couple dollars less than what it was worth. I get it- no recipes lowest retail price. I've worked retail and customer service before but I have NEVER treated a customer the way she treated me. read more

It's a Target Greatland so it's bigger than regular Targets. But it is still the old style Target so no Grocery or produce. There isnt much to say as it is a large chain and everyone knows what to expect from it. It's clean and keeps it's stock at a good level. read more
