Target on Laguna Blvd is great for it's cleanliness, plenty of helpful associates, and layout. I love that they have groceries now! I never have a problem finding what I need, and often times find better deals here compared to a local grocery store. I normally buy diapers and wipes here, and often times find special clearance baby items on the end caps. Also they have a great selection and variety of organic baby food! I also love the location of this Target, because it's near The Bible House, Carter's, and Buy Buy Baby. My only gripe would be the parking can be crazy, because Target shares it lot with so many other businesses. It's best to go during the weekday or early on the weekend. read more

I'm actually pretty disappointed in this target. The employees never greet you or ask if you need help, including management, and the store is constantly a mess. I haven't been to any other target recently, considering I live next to this one, but I'm about to start going else where. If I wanted crappy customer service, I'd go to Walmart. I came into Target on Laguna looking for pastel printer paper. Couldn't find any in the stationary area. Walked all the way to the back of the store, desperate to find it, afraid I would have to huff it over to Wal-Mart; yuk. Anyways, CSR Amber W. ran around like crazy trying to find it for me. This target is a decent size and seems pretty clean/cluster free. However, the employees are not welcoming/helpful, and it's rare to catch one if you need assistance. I came here when I was pregnant and needed help finding an item that was only available in stores (which said they had it in stock). I had to waddle around the entire store before I could find someone to assist me. Even after asking customer service and they said they'll send someone back there, 10 mins later, still nobody. This was before the pandemic. Now "drive up" is pretty much the same at any target so it doesn't matter. read more

Great customer service at this location. I had just shopped and felt my total was a bit high. Fortunately I checked my receipt and found that an item didn't ring up properly. I went to customer service and the adjustment was fixed immediately. As I prepared to leave the store I noticed and item in the large portion of the basket that I never paid for. Back to customer service. I explained, they smiled, rang me up then I prepared to leave the store. Then I needed to use the ladies room before my long drive. I needed customer service to baby sit my purchases so I could run to the ladies room (surely I'm on customer service's last nerve by now!). The staff smiled, said no problem, and told me where my leave the basket of paid for items. I believe the customer service persons name was Anveet (please forgive if wrong or misspelled). Location is really the best attribute to the Laguna Target in Elk Grove. This branch of the national chain is on the corner of Laguna and Bruceville, part of the massive power center home to many other stores. Parking never seems to be an issue except during the holidays. This location is older and smaller than the other regional Targets with a smaller grocery section. It usually seems a bit less crowded than other stores, but sometimes lacks some of the specialty items found in other stores. Laguna Target is a solid and convenient choice for the area. read more

I have been shopping here for 15 years. It has gone downhill so much. Probably due to all the congestion. The area seems to have been bombarded with so many stores and it's the only shopping place in the area. The parking lot is overcrowded. It's a headache to even deal with it. I don't know who you have working here on December 1st, 2021 at 5:00pm at self checkout lanes but my son accidentally scanned a toy car twice and there was no way I could remove one of the duplicate charge on the self checkout screen. I pressed the contact employee help button and the screen tells me to wait. The red light on my lane is flashing red so it's obvious I'm waiting for help. The employee working there is just standing there ignoring me. He has a speaker and microphone and earphones on him so I'm assuming he's busy talking with someone? I know he can see me waiting but he's just standing there yelling,"NO CASH, NO CASHBACK!" WTF? You see my lane blinking for help and that's all you can say for the last five minutes? It's COVID era, why would anyone carry around dirty cash anyways? I sure as hell do not keep cash on me for years already. I only spend using my credit card. After waiting for too long I had to wave him down to help me remove the extra charge on my screen. He didn't even apologize for making me wait and all the while while he's removing the item off the list he continues to yell out,"NO CASH, NO CASHBACK!" while he's editing my cart on the screen. Why?????? I can READ the sign before I even scanned my items. I don't understand why TARGET just can't train their employees to approach a customer when they need service. I wouldn't even give them a 1 star. I was told by multiple employees that they were going to have an item coming in on Tuesday mornings shipment. I asked them to be sure so I wouldn't waste my time. They told me a specific time and date. I show up an hour early and waited for it to open. But no the item I asked for specific wasn't there. An employee went to check and said she wouldn't know if it came in since it's still not unloaded. I asked if they had some sort of packing slip or invoice to see if they had it in the shipment. She got the manager Steven for me. He was no help whatsoever, he questioned me about employees telling me and guaranteeing items, that they would never. I'm like okay then how would I know you just got a shipment in?! He made me feel like he was calling me a liar. He said he wouldn't go look for it because he had other orders to put away. I wasn't asking him to look for it for me, I'm asking him to look at his invoices or packing slips to see if it came, if so then I can come back. He said he couldn't do anything for me and that I had to just come back everyday to check to see if they had it. Or to check online, but it said they have it online and they don't have it. He couldn't answer my comment. I understand it's the holiday week, but I'm not asking for much, just check your order to see if it came in!! An train the associates not to guarantee shut if the managers can't follow up. The manager even question that I didn't have the associates names, first of all.. Steven, I didn't ask for no names or look for a name tag. I ask specific questions and got my answers, how would I know to get their fucking names?! I don't understand why 3 different associates would know the products coming in and the manager wouldn't know. It's not that he couldn't check, he didn't want to. He didn't want to waste his time helping a customer. No customer service whatsoever! To finish it off, he tells me he couldn't do anything for me. The associates even said she can take my name and info, and if they see if while unloading they can put it on the side for me. Who doesn't love Target? I feel a little weird reviewing a specific Target because they are practically the same everywhere. Every state I have been to, when I walk into a Target I can just pretend I am home. Feels pretty much just the same in Denver as it does in Sacramento. Anyway, Target is great in general because they have everything. Need OJ? They got it. T-shirt? Yup. Car oil? Of course. You get the point. If I need something it is pretty easy to pop in here and grab it. Everything is decently priced and I usually end up with something I didn't plan on getting. They usually have good deals, I love their v-neck tees which are usually $9 and sometimes go down to $5. Some specific things about this Target: Parking lot is huge because there are several stores in this area. Which is convenient if you need to grab cat food from Petco (Petsmart?) or whatever. It always seems to be busy which can be a pain, and last time I was here there was literally a crying child in every aisle. Whoa. Be happy, you're in Target kids! They have self-checkouts now! Perfect if you're a frazzled introvert like me wanting to get in and out without having to make small talk after work. read more

I think I know now why they called it Target. I always seem to be attracted to this place and I can't seem to avoid it. I'm like an arrow that aims itself right into the doors of Target... Fortunately, I've always enjoyed this Target, despite it being crowded constantly. Parking used to seem like a headache here, but honestly, there is still parking somewhere at any given time...it beats the bay area for sure! After years of going here, and even after their recent remodeling I can navigate so easily through here. They even put in a Starbucks, so getting loaded up on caffeine makes shopping 50 times more fun here. Never a mess of products or people, and their items are always in stock. I love how it is a one stop shop: snacks, make up, birthday cards, pots, dishes, dog food, electronics, movies, music, clothes, jewelry, bags, toys, popcorn, sooo much more! Plus they even have a $1 section now ($1 "The Office" goodies such as Dwight's head stress ball-SCORE!!). The check out is pretty quick, and they even have quick check out. ******* Target has now become the best part of Halloween 2008!! Why? Domo-kun Halloween decorations throughout the store!! Cute irresistible giant plush sized Domo hanging from the ceiling along with other cut outs. Target exclusively carries cute mini hand sized Domo-kun fuzzy buckets with candy necklaces, and a few other Domo candies. ******** Oh I love you Target. This location is absolutely horrible to me. It of course has all the regular target stuff, but is an absolutely mess and the crowd is even iffy. From the parking lot to the store this has been one of the worse target visits ever. I will not come this location ever again if I can help it. I did get all I needed at least. What to say about Target....I stay out of it as much as possible so that I can pay my bills otherwise I'd have a bunch of stuff I don't need but figured out a legit reason to buy it at the time lol. Not all Targets were created equal, EG is special. The store just looks clean and smells amazing. Stopped by yesterday and when I first walked in, the aroma of what I assume was caramel corn bum rushed my nose! I was on a mission so I couldn't stop. Plus I would have had to get a hot dog and an Icee...no time. The sections are labeled clearly and are visible. I knew exactly where to go to get my stuff. I was told they're in competition w/ Wal-Meezy and Wal-Meezy only takes care of the consumers rather than the employees, however Target takes care of both. Don't know if it's true, but the prices at Target are higher than Wal-Mart so I would hope it would be to pay the employees better. If that's the case, I'll stop being selfish and support others to make some more money and shop at Target more. I gave 4 stars b/c although you may be looking out for your employees some of your clothing is just too dang expensive. It's cute as heck but dang, I'm not ballin! read more

As far as Target's go this one is up there for me. It's clean and for the most part, organized. And unlike another big box discount department store, their employees are easier to find and friendlier. I just wouldn't walk in there (or any Target!) wearing khaki pants and a red shirt (my boyfriend did that once......). Anyway, back to the review. Since I have a Target Red Card, this place has become the death of me. Seriously. I can buy EVERYTHING with this bad boy, even use it in the food court! Can you believe that??? And with that extra 5% discount I like it even better. The cosmetic section *which has taken most of my money* is great. It's one of the cleanest drugstore makeup departments I've seen in your big box store. Things are haphazardly scattered everywhere, and I don't even recall seeing makeup smeared on the display cases (the nailpolish area being the only exception). There is a grocery section which is organized and some of the prices are fantastic!! I also buy a lot of DVDs and Blu-Rays here, it's an impulse buy really. As for clothes, I love the selection. I love the cardigans in both the ladies and junior section (I still think I'm in that grey area where I can buy from both and not look ridiculous!). My goodness... I enjoy shopping at Target and it truly has been one of my favorites growing up... However, this location specifically is literally a HOT mess!!! I usually enjoy walking throughout Target and buying unnecessary items that I didn't know I really needed until I came upon it. But, at this location, all you want to do is get in and get out really quickly due to the fact that it is so messy. Almost makes me feel like I'm at a preschool and the kids have all gone crazy with their toys all over the floor. At one point, I found myself helping pick up the mess off of the floor. That has to mean that something right... Either their management team needs to shape up and get things tidy or have a new team leader asap. Lastly, why is it that no one knew where things were... What is the point at having a job and working somewhere but you aren't really able to help your customers... Highly doubt that I will be back at this location any time soon... This is my go-to neighborhood target! It's close to home, and for the most part it's never packed and always clean! There is always a big selection of items, sales associates are super friendly. I've seen people get caught shoplifting from here so it's good to know security is on top of things. I would say it's safe to come here at night because it's well lit and there are security cameras everywhere! If I ever need to return or exchange anything for they never give me any problems. Only thing that sucks is I wish there was a Starbucks inside! I think they don't have one because there is a Starbucks in the same shopping center! read more

This is my go-to Target store. The store isn't immaculate but kept clean enough. Is any Target store going to be pristine though? They do have a Starbucks and other food conveniently located inside the store while you shop. I must say that I had an awesome cashier that saw me wait in line today and she moved me to Guest Services to ring me up. She was super friendly and I really appreciated her trying to get the lines at the cashiers moving so people can be on their way. I haven't found any problems with items being out-of-stock. That's a positive considering this Target is ALWAYS busy. Target is always a pleasant experience...don't bother using a basket, you'll end up switching to a shopping cart eventually. read more

I attempted to make a Christmas purchase in the Stockton location (Trinity Parkway) using my $25 GIFT CARD/DEBIT, to which was declined. I made several attempts, but still declined. I explained to their floor manager and cashier that there is money on the card; having verified with Target's Telephone Rep a couple weeks ago.. So there should not be a DECLINE. Still DECLINED. So, to not hold up the long Christmas line, I was subjected to use my personal debit card for the Stockton Transaction. What I did next was, again, call the Target Telephone Rep my situation, to which, the rep was HIGHLY HELPFUL, knowledgeable, and understanding and of my situation He explained to me that I could have 1) run it as CREDIT or 2) Use cash first, then use the card to pay the difference. So, I called Elk Grove's location, and was directed to their Floor Manager. Over the phone, she told me, "When you arrive, go to guest service and call for MALY. And, I'll assist you." When I arrived to the store, I had their Self-check out staff member get ahold of Maly for me. She was quick to getting ahold of her for me. So, Maly met up with me and directed me to go to an open register with her. She actually wanted me to come back the next day since the transaction was made at another location, and that it takes about 24 hours to go through the system. But, she actually made the whole transaction easy for me and her by doing the whole transaction over. She was highly knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating. THANK YOU, Maly!! read more

They are the Wal-Mart of Targets. "Oh, there are ten of you waiting in one line. Let me just NOT call anyone to come help." Maybe this bugs me because having working in retail I've always been told that once the line passes THREE PEOPLE you open another register. You know, because not everyone is buying just one pack of gum. They have pretty much everything here (i.e. flaming hot lays that all other Targets have gotten rid of). That, plus is the in-house Starbucks are the only bright sides to this place. read more

I love Target. Don't you hate it when you go in for one thing and then end up buying like $50-$75 worth of stuff. That always happens to me. This is a typical target. Laid out like they normally are with a starbucks in the front of the store i believe, then clothes in front of you, health and beauty products to the left, and electronics in the back. They also added a new food section. I tried the baguette today and it was good. No complaints. It's relatively clean and well organized too. I was a little disappointed at the customer service I received here. A majority of the staff are pretty young. I did ask someone to show me where the Brita filters were and he never told me where they were, but he stopped and decided to give his buddy props and talk about their plans after work. While I was just waiting there. The line here can get long at times too. read more

My rating is just based on this location's customer service station because I do a lot of online shopping and do my in store pick up here. My experience with this location's customer service employees have always been great. They hardly ever seem bothered about having to go out of their way to help me when there's an issue with my online orders. They actually do a better job than target.com's telephone customer service people. My recent experience was with employees, Madeline and Mang. I actually saw them twice for the same problem. They were patient and kind both times. In the end, they were able to solve my problem smoothly, even though it was a complicated case. Two thumbs up to them. The only reason I knocked out one star was because the ladies had left a note about my case and their other co-workers totally ignored it, which made our situation more difficult than it needed to be. But like I said, the two of them were able to solve it so I was happy about that. read more

I was there on Black Friday. Upside: They had plenty of shopping carts. They had plenty of staff, to help with questions. No long lines, I actually walked right up to the checker. Downside: Products were not in there normal places. I went to look at kitchen appliances and the particular product I was looking for, and the shelf was empty. I told myself, "okay they ran out" (to be expected on Black Friday, right?) I continued my shopping and later found the kitchen appliance I was looking for on an end cap by the paper goods. Tons of them. Lesson: Keep looking, like I did or ask someone if the item you are looking for is still available. They can check in the computer and tell you, "yeah we still have 50 available, they are just not in there normal spot" and help you locate it. read more

Demetrius has the worst customer service skills. Not sure how many employees you have by the name of that, but to narrow it down, he's a Caucasian guy, black hair, big guy, and around 5'8. First off, my husband asked him if he could check the price of a toy. He had the price scanner on him, but he directed my husband to the scanner machine. It takes you less than a minute to scan something, but you just want to. Then I guess he decides to scan it and then the item is not recognized in the system. I already know what that means since I'm big on finding deals. I wasn't around when my husband was speaking to him, but when I came around, the guy told my husband that he couldn't sell him the item because it was possibly a return and that he couldn't sell it to him. This was coming from his manager. I asked if she was an LOD (leader on duty), but he said she is some type of executive something; just a fancy name for LOD. It's not an assistant manager or store manager because they usually work during the day shift. This is not my first rodeo. Basically the toy is a salvaged item because they do this to all non-sellable items. It's like the holiday items, once it's on the shelves for a certain amount of time, they need to pull the items to put the next holiday items up and these become salvaged so when you try to scan them, it will come up not recognized. So my husband told the kid that there was more than one of that toy. I ended up going to see where these toys were and did see more of them. So we grabbed 4 into our cart and figured I take them up front to see if they scan. Demetrius ends up trying to find these and see me pushing the cart and follows me to tell me that he needed to take these away from me and then I argued with him that they were false advertising because they said they couldn't sell these because they were a return and defective or recalled. You have these toys advertised on the shelf for clearance and now refusing to sell them because they are salvaged. This sounds like a violation of Business and Professions Code 12024.2 because they are refusing to sell the item at the advertised price. Instead they want to say they need to pull these items off off shelf. There's exactly another 8 more on the shelves with a yellow clearance sticker. So if these were salvaged items, shouldn't you have done your due diligence and pulled them off the shelves when they needed to be. Why do the consumers have to get the items so that you can take them away? So we are doing your job for you that you are being paid to do. I get it if that was the last item, but it wasn't so you shouldn't have made some bs excuse, I should rather say the executive person. So it's basically false advertising to leave items on the shelves for a clearance price to be told that you can't sell these. Ohh and then Demetrius calls his executive again and she told him that we could brings these over to customer service and if they aren't recalled, which was the second excuse the executive came up with as another reason they can't sell them if they have been recalled. I looked these up the target.com website and they are online so obviously they aren't recalled because your website would have pulled them. I do my due diligence and do the research. We ended up not taking these to customer service because the clearance price wasn't awesome enough to want to buy. Final note, these weren't at the end caps, they were in the toy aisle with other clearance toys marked at 30%. Poor leadership by Demetrius's manager on duty. read more

Came here to get a Wii U because it was the only Target to have it in stock according to target website. When I got to the electronics section I was told they didnt have them in stock. Hmmm. Went to my car and ordered it online with in store pick up on my phone. Went back in and showed them on my phone I just ordered one. They were forced to look harder in the back and low and behold they found it! Apparently they misplaced all the Wii U consoles so that was the reason only this store had them in stock. Simple mistake, but a huge one. If I can look at your company website and see them in stock you should too. read more

I like this store. It does the trick, but a few visits ago, I went to the food court thing and just needed to buy a juice box for my small son. I grabbed the juice box from the little refrigerator and the lady working behind the counter said something along the lines of, "hold on, I'll be with you in a second." It wasn't what she said, really, it's how she said it. Yuck, seriously? Giving a customer attitude with all the eyebrows and tone and everything. I feel like I need to warn people who come to this location that the majority of the times that I have come to this store, there has been criminal activity. Service is terrible. No one should have to wait over 15 min for self checkout. Half of the checkout kiosks conviently closed down. Staff did not explain whats going on. They could have opened another cashier to speed up the line. Also the place is a mess and staff needs to restock instead of going on their phones. The target at calvine is much better. read more
