Electronics section is loaded with stuff!

Best one that I've seen yet! This store is very well stocked with all kinds of things. I didn't buy anything because I don't live in the area but just went into look. The store clean, crazy busy but well stocked.

I like looking here first for new nail color. They carry Sally Hansen and for less than $5 a bottle. The shelves aren't always full but still a decent selection.

It's been years since I've been to a Five Below (I think even before my Yelping days) and I forgot how fun this kind of place is. I mean, not fun in an amusement-park kind of way, but more like my past high school self would have loved this place lol. Like 1/3 of the place is filled with candy in colorful packaging. In the back corner there are graphic tees reminiscent to those at Hot Topic (the screen printing even seems a bit better here). There are also other clothes that are of Forever 21 fashion. Another large part of the store is dedicated to trendy tech stuff. Can't really comment on the quality of the items in this section, but wouldn't be surprised if it's in the same vein of "you get what you pay for." Bargain-wise, everything here is, or at least should be, $5-ish or below (hence the store name), but overall I think the prices are a tad higher here than at Dollar Tree (comparing just the $1-ish items in sizing between the two of course). Still, this store is very inviting; actually clean and brightly-lit compared to the Dollar Trees that I've visited. My friends and I would have loved hanging out here during our high school days lol.

What an interesting store! Lots of variety of different merchandise, from candy to electronics to seasonal items! I was kind of bummed I didn't see any dog stuff, but happy to have visited the store. Price ranges from $1-10 but mostly $5.00 items.

    Rolling shopping cart basket!

Five below is a hodgepodge of items that are sold around $5, most however are less than $5. There are some brand names but most are off brand which isn't a bad thing for those looking for basic function vs. extras or luxury. There are several sections including Seasonal, Arts, Games, Sports, Tech (cables, power, cases, headphones, etc.), Posters, Clothing, Cosmetics, Snacks, Chocolates, Drinks, Books, etc. I do like Five Below better than other non-organized affordable stores. They are 3.5 stars but I'm feeling generous today and will round up to 4. Check them out at least once. Check out was through self-checkout and the best part of the experience was the rolling basket with a long handle. Room for improvement: More items, there were several rows that were just bare. Please add more items vs. just spreading out the same items or leaving them blank.

I was a bit iffy about this store opening up, but I was actually impressed at how much they offer here! The name is a little deceiving since their items actually range from $1-$10. The store has aisles broken into several main areas: children's toys/games/books, fitness, home, clothing, electronics, makeup, food/snacks. Some items are probably a little sketchy from a discount store, like the $5 headphones or the $5 penny skateboards, but there is actually a lot of other nice stuff here! I'd definitely come here for storage items, office/art supplies, kids games and coloring books, and snacks. They also have a big selection of travel size items across two aisles that would be perfect for trips! They have several self-checkout stations for quick and easy checkout. I don't think I even saw any non-self checkout stations but there are staff walking around everywhere cleaning up and straightening out shelves so it's easy to get someone's help if you need.

How the "perfect condition" toy was given to us by store employees. Disgusting.
    Rizzo B.

If I could give a zero or even a negative number of stars I would. The employees here are rude, bar none. They're disgusting and not to mention racist. This is not the first time we've complained about this place. When the district manager tried to make it right, the employees here intentionally ruined the toy set aside for us. When we let the DM know she said it was in perfect condition when she gave it to them for us to pick up. It's definitely not ok now. The DM has no control over this store nor the employees and it is extremely evident. Don't give this place your business.

I even came back and spent some time. Now if you're into card games or some of these other things this is the place to go. If you value your time and money, think twice before coming here to sell. In the past I've sold at…read morethe Folsom location, where I've had good experiences, but decided to try the Elk Grove location today and had a terrible experience. I called ahead to make sure they were actively buying and to gauge interest before taking the time to load everything up and make the drive over. The employee assured me I would not have any issues and to just come on by. Upon arrival the first employee was friendly, polite, and helpful. I explained that I was there to sell and had also brought in several LEGO collectors items that I planned to include as part of the deal at no extra cost, as a show of good faith. I had brought in roughly a dozen sets worth several hundred dollars to sell so it took around 20 minutes to perform the appraisal, but once done he gave me a price and explained the evaluation of each set. Whenever I sell at a store I expect to sell for much less than I do when I sell direct to consumer myself, but I'm willing to make that trade-off for the convenience of dealing in person and in bulk; however, the prices I was offered here ranged from low to outright laughable (up to 60% less than historical sales values online). While the prices were bad I was still willing to make a sale in order to save myself time. I asked for additional details about their evaluations, which the employee happily provided, and told them I wanted to take a few minutes to review the offer and perform due diligence before deciding how I wanted to proceed. It was at this point that things went from bad to worse. As I was reviewing the numbers, another employee came out from the back and immediately started making comments (ostensibly to his coworker, but very much audible to me) about how the first employee had offered too much on set X, that set Y wouldn't sell for very much, that they had too many of set Z, etc. After a minute or two of that, the first employee went on break. The second employee then proceeded to start asking me questions that made me feel pressured, like if I was ready or what I was looking up. I started to feel uncomfortable and asked if I was holding him up or anything, as he seemed annoyed, but he reassured me that they were open for several more hours and that I could take my time. I went back to looking up information online and a moment later the second employee said that he was rescinding the offer and that they were no longer interested in buying anything. This totally took me by surprise, as at this point I had not even made a single comment about their offer or attempted to negotiate -- I had just been asking questions and looking up information. It was abundantly clear to me that the employee was attempting to pressure me into accepting a bad deal, so I knew I should cut my losses and leave. Out of curiosity I asked why they had changed their mind. The employee said that they had a warehouse full of such sets and that they didn't need more. If that was the case, they could have told me so on the phone when I initially called to find out as much. He then made one more offer (for $100 less than the already bad initial offer), which I declined and left. The whole experience felt like a bait-and-switch -- get you in the store, then pressure you into accepting a lowball offer. I'd recommend the Folsom location or perhaps the new Bricks and Minifigs instead if you're looking to sell.
