I'm a fan of the Daiso chain. This is a medium sized one and was well stocked. Nobody NEEDS to go to Daiso but whenever you go inside, there is always something you "need" to buy. Cute items that are reasonably priced for Japanese quality goods. I sure didn't need anything when I stopped by after going to a different store in the plaza but somehow bought $6 slippers. This Daiso seems to be well-stocked almost of the time. I appreciate that their outdoors gear section seems larger than some other stores I've been to. The lures and fishing line section is pretty big, too! I like finding useful kitchen items here, too. They have a 1.58 gallon bucket with a strainer bowl and lid that worked great for curing olives last fall. The báker made it easy to change the lye and water and saline solutions. It's a typical Daiso. I was browsing through the shopping strip and decided to walk in since I love buying their Charcoal Make up Remover wipes. They have plenty in stock. I should gate keep that info because everytime I go to the other Daiso stores, they run out. The entire store appears clean and the staff are all nice and friendly. They got everything you need at Daiso from Hello Kitty products and other Japanese stationary themes. Some Disney stationary sets and even household items like dishes and cooking utensils. There's beauty products as well. Make an excuse to come to the shopping strip too. You can get refreshing boba near by too. Just have a fun filled day here. I love coming here. read more

Clean, well stocked. Smaller than other locations. Didn't come in looking for anything particular of course but end up with some items. This isn't the first time. The bowls were advertised as 1.50 I trusted the cashier to ring me up but they didn't scan the sticker which says 1.50 instead guessed it. I got 4 of the bowls amounting to 14.00 I don't question bc I felt like the cashier should know their job. It's when I got home and peeled off the stickers I got mad seeing they rang me up for 3.00 instead of the price on the sticker and advertised price. It's nice to have Daiso in this neighborhood so I don't have to go to Delta Shores! This Daiso is small, but it has a lot of stuff. They have self checkout but on every occasion since around the time of grand opening, it hasn't been open, so that's a bit of a bummer. Service is generally friendly! Things to note that are the usual for Daiso if you've never shopped here before is that there are no returns. Prices start at $1.75 but can go up from there depending on item size/complexity. You can reference the charts they have all around the store. If an item has a price on it, it's in Japanese Yen, so the charts are helpful for conversion. Note that some things might not be that great of a deal when compared to Dollar Tree, so do your comparisons if that matters to you. Store has a variety of made in china items, gadgets from storage bins, sewing essentials, buckets, cleaning, socks, dog and cat items, frames, cards, notebooks, office supplies, desk top items....I went in for doggie birthday crowns or hats plus a tub for under my bathroom sink. Good prices, clearly marked with pricing. If not marked, lists $1.75 as prices. Clean, neat, super organized, everything in its place. I will have to go back and browse. Wow they are finally open. Their grand opening is Saturday and Sunday. They have the special gift bags on the ground in the front for that. I think you have to spend 30 bucks. They really cram all the stuff in there and the shelves are fully stocked which is great. If you have never been they it will take a while to explore every shelf. Otherwise I didn't really notice anything to new at this location. But I have been to a few stores in the States and in Japan. Lots to see and buy. Daiso is best at what they do. Luring you to buy items you really don't need but want! They have the most practical items too if you can decipher what they are bc they are labeled with Japanese kanji sometimes! Know that you really want these items bc they don't do refunds, returns whatsoever. FINAL SALE ONLY! Their usual purchases are 1.75 but they do throw you a curve ball & charge you 4.25. The cashierest will let you know while she's ringing it up! She's doing it so fast like huh? Oh well it's ok. I wanted it despite that higher price. Love that this location is finally in Elk Grove right by Trader Jo's & Home Goods! Such convenience! We can walk here if we wanted to but probably not especially if we buy lots of items! Yay! Daiso in Elk Grove! The store is fully stocked, and items are like the Delta Shores location with maybe a little more stuff. I like to check out the kitchen and household items. My son likes the Japanese candies and snacks. We can easily spend an hour browsing around. The only complaint I have is the aisles are tight, so you need to maneuver through or go around people. I love shopping at DAISO! They opened one in ELk Grove. The store was well stocked and very clean. Since it just opened, the store was filled with a lot of customers. They have a Pockey promotion and first hundred get a gift bag when you spend $30. The store has a little of everything for your household. They need to work on their customer service seems like they just like to talk than be a cashier. New location just opened in Elk Grove! The store is very clean and the employees are nice. There is a lot of variety in products here. The store is either smaller than the Delta Shores one or the shelves are just placed where there is so little space to move around. Also there was less selection of snacks. Hopefully these get fixed in the future. Glad to see they had their bowls in stock because the one I got years ago just broke the other day. The plushies they have are very cute! Daiso has started opening lots of stores everywhere in recent years. This one in Elk Grove is one of them that opened not too long ago! Same as the other Daiso. They have lots of cute little things I want to bring home. All the stuff that they have are not expensive. It seems a very small amount until you're at the register. The little things do add up! I am surprised by how much money I usually spend in Daiso each time I'm there! The store looks great, and many items are in stock, except the snacks sections are pretty empty. I guess people in Elk Grove love Japanese snacks. Lol! The workers are friendly as most of the Daiso. I even had a warm greeting when I walked into the store. The parking lot is not crowded. Yay! I'm so glad EG has a Daiso now instead of having to drive over to Delta Shores. I came for the Grand Opening, and the line wrapped all the way to the side of HomeGoods by the time I arrived (10 AM). It was about an hour wait but we were tempted to stay because of the goodie bags they were handing out with a min of $30. Once inside, the aisles were nicely organized and stocked despite how busy it was. For the amount of people in the store, it made it seem very cramped and hard to navigate. You could really only go through the aisles one by one unless you want to squish your way through. The checkout line itself wrapped around the entire store, so we decided to continue our shopping as we moved in the line. The variety of goods and layout reminded me of the Daiso in Roseville, carrying similar things. I usually love coming to Daiso because of their snacks/pantry foods, this one only has one aisle of them instead of multiple aisles which is unfortunate, I hope they change that in the future. We ended up spending way more than $30, but the goodie bags were extremely disappointing. It was a handful of random loose candies and two small snacks, as well as a drink which equaled to roughly around $4-$6 worth of store items. I thought they were going to include things that you wouldn't be able to purchase inside the store, so waiting in line for the Grand Opening seemed like a waste of time. Besides that, I'm very glad they were quick to open up in this shopping plaza! With Gogi's opening not too long ago and Rumi Oasis being next door -- this area will definitely get busy. Especially with The Ridge across the street. However, it's still exciting that EG is opening up more businesses and bringing attraction to their younger consumers. read more

Went there a second round recently on a weekend. No lines of course to enter and quite short line to pay. Still quite busy. The Disney garden pick and a couple other items I bought last time were not replenish. In addition, I noticed this store did not carry their amazing hair catcher (both plastic and sticker paper form). That was a let down. The cashier line structure is still as terrible and I can totally see people will cut the line. This place is terrible when it come to return, I came in yesterday 9/9/25 purchased a bottle Wit $6.53 I came home and used it for my milk and Chia, after an hour I checked it and it was leaking all over my fridge. So, I came back today to return it. Then this Asian frmale ask me all this question and I said yes I bought it here yesterday. asked me if I have receipt and of course I do. I always kept my receipt just in case. She is making it sounds like Ok i am returning something just coz I wanna drive 2mils just to return a $6 item. and I dont wanna waste my $6 either it was not worth it with the cheap product I thought it was just $2 but for some reason their prices went to high. So, I asked her a phone number where I can reach the headquarters she gave me a phonr number that does not work and email. So, I went back in and let her hear the voice prompt saying the number is invalid as well as the Email add. Customer service is really bad, the she kept saying many times like have a nice day. How can you said that 5-6x when you know your customet is upset. I told her to check the camera so she would see me pick up that item on the shelve. instead she is interrogating me like I damaged and and decided to return it. I bought to use it for my Milk and Chia. Has a damaged under the bottle, she said it was a company policy and I understand that, I don't really return thing unless I have too. She saying that she would only accept my return but next time I cannot do any return anymore. it's like i'm coming back to that place anymore. LOL. No I am not coming back there. Dropped by this new location yesterday to check it out. The place was very organized and completely filled shelves.. but OMG it is tight in there. There was quite a bit of people so we literally were only able to fit 1 person in each aisle at a time and had to squeeze through each other. But even if the store was empty everything just looks so jam packed in there. The amount of items they have is just too much for the size of the location. I typically always find and spend so much here but it was so crowded and HOT in temperature i had to get out. As soon as you walk in through the doors there's already a whole aisle of shelves right in front of you so the entrance and exit was tight. There was also no designated signs for the line to pay so i was confused where to stand. It's nice they have self checkout lanes but that area is also very tight. They don't have shopping carts at this location either. They did not have a lot of snacks options. Delta shores has quite a bit more. They have plenty of household items but it seemed like every single inch of the store was filled. I will definitely be going to delta shores location more, it's very spacious and the aisles are more spread out and have shopping carts. I'll probably only go to this location if I'm in the area. read more

Love this Daiso! Most of the staff is friendly and it's well maintained. A couple of things to point out are, some of the staff I see, every time I visit, are always standing around talking or on their phones and the aisles are a little small. Not really a pleasant experience to see some staff not care about their jobs or the customers that come in. But overall, a pleasant experience. Fix this and my review will go to 5 stars. One of my favorite staff members is a guy named Adrian. He's always so polite and helpful! I think he's the manager there, so if you have any issues, I recommend his assistance. I would love to see more Daiso stores open up since it's one of my most favorite stores to visit. read more

It is very crammed! Aisles are SO tight! This new EG location is not nice and spacious as the one in Delta Shores. They have all the same things, which is expected, but definitely do not like how restricted you are in each aisle. If you go on a busy day, be forewarned for those who are claustrophobic, you will not be comfortable! read more
