I was on the quest to find an new bra. The intimates section is not well organized. It's hard to know where to look. The racks are not neatly organized by color or size. Most things are 20% off which helps, but when the regular price is $48 it's still way to steep. I was looking for some PJs that they offered online, but I didn't see them in the store. They may have more items online then available in the store. Check out went pretty smooth. They are quite pushy on signing up for their rewards program and the credit card. The good thing is they offered an additional 20% off so I got 20% off twice which took the price down to around $60 for 2 bras. That still seems a bit extreme to me. I'm just hoping I got a better deal then if I went to VS, but they were also having a sale on Tuesday, 40% off store wide. So it may have paid off to go there, but it wasn't as convenient. I also looked for a winter dress. The one that looked nice on the hanger didn't fit as nice as I had hopped. You needed a bigger bust to really fill it out and it was a little short. The other dress that I found was way to expensive, around $70, but it had a white collar and someone got makeup on it so I skipped it. I also was looking for a dressy black skirt, but I didn't see a long one. They had very few skirts. Upon check out they did give me $10 Khols Cash and a 20% off coupon. That sounds good and all, but there is only one week you can use it and that's around Nov 6th or so. I'm not going to be in the area so that's not going to work out for me. It is a great incentive to go back. I would go back and get those PJs if they actually had them in store. Parking was easy. They have a huge lot dedicated to the shopping center and a lot of spaces out front. Thanks for an easy return experience. Bought something online and it did not fit quite right. Was able to pull up my app and show a return barcode for a quick return. Hit the ladies room before leaving and was pleased to see it was so clean On the way out noticed their baby section actually has car seats and other baby stuff you can touch. I know shopping online has some convenience but how do people make decisions on something like a baby seat without touching it first. (That experience was years ago for me but I'm just sayin') The only thing that irked me is their price signs... the font is so tiny. I know my eyes are getting old but Can they make a bigger font? I went to Kohl's Department store to look for a household item I needed because Kohl's does carry a large variety of merchandise from clothing, shoes, jewelry, household items, rugs, holiday items and toys. The store is well stocked with Halloween merchandise and a large amount of Christmas merchandise already. The prices are pretty reasonable, especially with their discounts and coupons. They help a lot. However, I had trouble finding what I wanted because their home and houseware department was not well kept, with many items in the wrong place, empty shelves sporadically around, and needing attention. After looking around, I gave up on what I was looking for, but did make a small purchase so that it wasn't a waste of time. I do hope they assigns staff member or two for upkeep, and organize the merchandise a little better, especially before the busy holiday season starts. There is one checkout area in the front of the store, with plenty of register stations, but when I was in the front of the line, they went from two clerks to one, so I waited more than 15 minutes and a long line formed behind me. read more

I usually go here for Amazon returns and their coupon is too good not to use. I was probably the only customer in line at 9:30 am, then this cashier lady who was was helping another customer sees me in line and asks another associate to help, which I thought was nice of her. Then this Stock Associate (asian bald head) looked really upset because she asked him to open the register. When I asked him about online price match, he was very rude. Then I declined opening a Kohls store card, his demeanor was the worst. As a I walked out, I was like what was that? I let it slide. The following week I was again in the store for Amazon return, they had a $10 off deal so I was once again at the cash wrap buying stuff, the same lady was working her shift. She was initially nice, no trash talk but smiley and friendly. The she asked if I wanted to open Kohls Credit card for 40% off, I politely declined. The she looked upset and within seconds her behavior changed. She literally handed me the receipt and didn't even bother handing off my bag to me. Clearly these associates are working under a lot of pressure to open Credit cards to stay afloat. Literally customer service is down the drain and they are just there to clock in/clock out. I remember when Kohl's first opened my mom and I used to shop there a lot. Over time the quality went down and the prices went up. Plus the periodic sales And kohls cash is confusing and exhausting. I had not been in a Kohl's or ordered online from their site for four years but I decided I needed to order some new bras. I ordered online when they had a Black Friday sale. They arrived a couple weeks later and they did not fit well nor were they made well. It was the same brand and size I've gotten for over a decade. Hey I get it nothing stays the same! I also Ordered my dad a couple of Eddie Bauer items- a shirt and jacket for Christmas. Those were a hit. I returned the undergarments in January, as the holidays were hectic. I had no Idea where anything was as they had remodeled the store. There were no signs, no directions, and zero staff on the floor. I went to the back where you used to return stuff but now it's an Amazon return area. I then made my way up to the front, essentially walking a full circle of the big store. What was unpleasant was now that they have a Sephora cosmetics store-in-store, the entire store smelled like cheap cologne from I assume fragrance samplers. It was really unpleasant and I felt sorry for the workers there. The air filtering was horrendous. I had no interest in browsing to say the least. My refund was handled in the same line as checkout. The lady who helped me was helpful and professional but I could not wait to leave! I unfortunately can see why this chain is facing closures. This store is always so organized, clean, and fully stocked. My family enjoys going here to shop for clothes and other necessities. We like the rewards program (free) and use coupons every time we come here. They have some expensive items, however if you know how to shop for deals there are plenty of them. All Kohl's stores look very clean and have beautiful store layouts, including this one in Elk Grove/Laguna Creek area. I usually shopped at Kohl's a lot more when they opened many years ago. The stores are good looking. The prices are more reasonable than most other department stores. They have almost everything I need for myself or my home. Perfect to shop for everything in one store. However, I found out that most of the clothes I bought from Kohl's are not last long. A lot of them are good for a few months. I stopped buying clothes from them anymore after I threw away or donated most of the dresses I purchased from them. The household items are still pretty good. I'm skipping the clothes department and only checking out their household products when I'm shopping in any of their stores now. read more

One register open, 8 people in line. Clerks nearby doing mark-downs instead of opening another register and servicing customers. Wait time horrible, several people stepped out of line and left their purchases behind. I returned a Vera Wang sweater purchased online. The sweater had the tag, and I had the purchase receipt. The clerk tried to give me $2.00 for a sweater purchased for $19.99, saying I used Kohl's cash for the purchase. I told her, look at my receipt, there's no Kohl's cash used. Kohl's cash was rendered after the purchase. She said that's what her computer said, and I said, it's wrong, call your manager please. The manager came over and now they want to give me $17.99 for the sweater, saying I didn't have a receipt. I told them, they DO have the receipt, the sweater is listed on the purchase. The manager was snarky and unprofessional. She settled on $20 and gave me cash. I told her I purchased the sweater for $19.99 and needed the sales tax returned, so she handed me $2.00 out of her cash drawer. I told her I needed a copy of the return receipt and she said she would have to walk to the back of the store to the office to make a copy. I told her I would wait. On her way back to the store, she stopped to talk to another associate, and it took almost 10 minutes for me to get the receipt copy. I asked for her name and she said, Sam. I asked for her last name, so I could complain about her. She refused. No store manager was on-site, Sam was the acting store manager. She was unprofessional, sarcastic and rude. Poor Kohl's, they need to get another manager who is professional and better versed in customer service. read more

I've lived behind this Kohls for over 10 years and have spent a significant amount of money over the years shopping here for my 3 sons and 10 grandkids. I went in today to do a simple online return with my bar code pulled up and ready to scan on my phone. There were 50+ people in ONE LINE to cover all purchases, returns, customer service needs, etc. And no, the 4 people working registers weren't making the line reasonably move. The line was wrapped all the way around to home goods just like it were black Friday. If this is the "game plan" for the holiday season (i.e. mixing purchases and returns), Kohl's is getting NONE of my business this year. I guess I'll switch to Amazon like everyone else, especially since this Kohls has a separate return area exclusively for Amazon packages, while their own customers have to thug it out in the monstrosity line. There is a Filipino lady there who's got a weird attitude and ego problem. While helping me at the register she asked me if I had any coupons. I told her no but I plan to use my kohls cash that I got from last week. Then she proceeds to ask me if I have the Kohls app. I told her no. I do not have the Kohls app. Then she starts asking me questions about coupons again and the app and blah blah blah. I can barely hear her or understand her. So I said again I do not have the app but I do have an account that I usually look up using my email but today I can't log in to my account because I don't have my password. I said I have kohls cash right now and I'd like to use that today. She then says I might not be able to use my Kohls cash. I didn't say anything else because I know that if she had scanned the Kohls cash she will see that it will work. I have the coupon in my hands and she is assuming it can't be used without scanning it. It's $10 I got from a previous purchase weeks ago and it's not expired. So she then asked me to put my phone number in to look up my account and I said I usually look it up using an email because every time I punch in my phone number the system cannot find me. She gives me a weird look and rolled her eyes taking a huge sigh all the while smirking at the customers waiting in line behind me as if I am giving her a hard time when I am not. She embarrassed me over a petty thing. Guess what? My Kohls cash worked when she scanned it. If this woman was really trying to help me she would just give me the extra discount on top of the kohls cash but she wants to act like I'm poor and stupid. How about you look up my account with the email I told u to use and find my coupons there for me but no you have to act like a know-it-all and you are oh so smart and wannabe generous when really your condescending attitude is just greedy and giving ME A HARD TIME instead. Closing time at registeres 5 or 6 employees and especially the snotty female blonde pony tail tattood manager were rude zombies who didnt talk back to my appreciation and pleasantries. I left cash register and said boy the employees arent very friendly near closing time. I was ignored again. After I repeaded myself that snotty manager said oh were very friendly here in a short abrupt tone. I said I dont think so. She used that snotty dismissive tone and said and you have a good evening. Not meaning it in a normal way. Catty snotty rude. I spent damn near $400 and nearly dropped it for a refund. Corporate, watch and listen to cameras on the cash register where I was removing hangers to help. Security guard heard it all. Manager and security were speaking poorly about me at about 8 feet away as I was heading to door. Literally not one smile and I felt like they were mad at me. Not only that, they closed the return center so now you are stuck in line with those people as well. After 730pm add in the Amazon return people too. The return process was fairly easy, however, but still annoying that I had to come back. I went to the Kohl's store in Elk Grove, Ca located on Bruceville Road today to return a couple of items and the woman that helped me was so patient and kind with me. I didn't realize when you order online you have to either have a receipt or your order number. Normally they can just swipe your Kohl's card. She helped me get it up on my phone and it took a while because the Wi-Fi was slow but she had so much patience and she was so sweet and nice. I held up my phone for her to scan the code and with a horrible attitude she stated: "If you see the phone on the table spinning it's because I can't scan it, that's why I'm standing here waiting, see that (points to phone) so I'm not sure why you're holding your phone up." To management, please discuss professionalism with this employee. To the employee, if you hate working at this place, quit. It's not like you were busy. There was no one else in this area on this quiet afternoon. If scanning barcodes is too much for you, seek employment elsewhere. Otherwise, this store is always clean and no other issues. read more

Today, may 5th, 2022, I ordered a purse for my mother online for drive up pick up. When I arrived at kohl's, I called to let the associate know I had arrived. He confirmed my order and was out by my car in a few minutes later. I was super happy and pleased. Right before I put my car In Reverse, to leave the parking spot, I inspected the purse. The purse had specks of dirt which was ok because it could of been cleaned with a wet rag, but when I grabbed the shoulder strap to put inside the purse and back into the shopping bag, I noticed that the strap was cut and held by a thread. I took a quick picture of it which I'll post. At that moment, I realized I had to get out and go inside the store to either replace it or get my money back. Not a huge problem if I was by myself, but today was not it. I had to get my super hyperactive children of 6, 3 and 8 month old out of the car. I asked where to return an online order and I was told to walk all the way back of store. Then the lady at the back asked if I wanted to return or exchange. I said I'd like to exchange but I'm not sure where the purses were. She said over there in the front. So now, I go all the way to the front, trying to look for it while my 3 year old is screaming at the top of lungs because he wants a toy. I couldn't find it. My mind was clouded. I couldn't think straight. I wasn't supposed to be inside the store with three kids by myself looking for a purse at all. Why should I be looking for it, if they already gave it to me, but torn? My kids screaming and crying because He doesn't see me so he thinks he's lost. Everyone is looking at me. I'm about to have a melt down. At that moment, it's my turn in line and I changed my mind and now want to just get it refunded. I told the cashier I need a refund for this purse because it's dirty and ripped. The. She's says I need to go to the back. At this point I'm not having it, so I told her that I already went to the back and they sent me to the front, so she went to get help. With all the madness, I forgot I could only exchange in the front, so when the lady comes back she asked again if I wanted to exchange it. I said that I didn't have the patience for it. My kids are running and grabbing everything and making a mess and I can't find the purses, so finally she goes and gets a purse that's in good condition WHICH IS WHAT WAS EXPECTED WHEN I DROVE UP THE STORE PARKING SPOT!. She made the exchange and I still had Endure my 6 year old playing with front automatic doors and then My three year old running out the door. Anyways, the whole point of making a drive up order was so I could avoid a circus inside the store with my kids. The employees made me go back and forth through the store to get a purse that they knowingly picked out for me that was dirty and ripped. I didn't know where they had them stocked, but they expected me to go and go search for it to exchange it as if it was my fault that they grabbed a faulty bag for me. When they asked me if I wanted to get it replace it I just said I didn't have the patience between holding my baby and watching my two other kids. I was clearly in need of help it was annoying that I had to tell them I could not look for the bag and it was annoying that I had start rambling about how inconvenient they are. Honestly, I hate this place for this experience. Don't order anything here if you want something in good condition picked out for you. Don't come here if you have kids because they don't care about you. They just want you to take what they give you and go away. No smiles no sorry just pure inconvenience and inconsiderate. read more

Plenty of departments available for your every need in variety, style and taste. I enjoy browsing each section including housewares and cosmetics. And if you order online, you can pick up your items at the store if so desired or just wait for them to be shipped to your house. You can also take returns to the store. We came this store to returned uesterday Dec 16,2024, I noticed this cashier, she look Asian short hair, I already noticed she was rude with the male customer a head of me. My boyfriend ordered a ring in a size 7 and they sent a size 5.5. They didn't have an option to exchange it so we did a return which made all the Kohls cash he earned a loss and it was a lot. She gave us 20 in kohls cash to make up for it but it didn't even work until the next day. So now we have to make two trips back to this crappy store. This is specifically for the young woman with dark hair and really long nails working in the exchange department (I wish I had gotten her name I'll try getting it tomorrow and will update) May 20th 2024 between the time of 1:20pm and 3pm. I have shopped at Khols for years and spend thousands of dollars there. I own and run my own business, I have also worked retail for many years. This particular girl was the absolute rudest person I have ever encountered at this specific Khols location. Knowing retail well, a store credit could have been offered for the item I was returning. Instead, I got attitude from her and did not feel as though she valued Khols or myself as a customer. Upon leaving I returned about 45 minutes later with all of my recent purchases to return, and the outfit I was previously trying to return. Miraculously I was able to get store credit for the outfit I was previously trying to return 45 minutes before (she could have done that the first time) As a local that has always shopped at Khols, this experience was the worst ever... I feel more training needs to be done customer service wise, particularly in the back. I should not have wasted 45 minutes of stress, gas, and time to get the result that should have been done to begin with. I cringe every time I am checking out and I see one particular woman and I think she is the one that will ring me up. One time I let another person go in front of me just so I could get a different person at the register. She will ask me at least five times if I want a Kohl's charge. Half the time I have to get a snotty tone and it should never have to go that far. Today I got her again, and the other cashier was doing the same thing to another poor lady behind me. If it wasn't one of the only department stores in Elk Grove, I'd never go there again just because of this! It's absolutely horrible customer service. I will only come here to do Amazon returns. I have never had a problem with the employees that work for Amazon. Kohl's employees, on the other hand, have HORRIBLE customer service. During Christmas I tried to buy 2 candles for my mom and on the display for the candles it had a sign that displayed 2 different discounts. One for "buy 1 get 1 1/2 off" and on the same display for "buy one get one free." I took a picture and proceeded to check out. When I was wrung up, the clerk said there were no discounts for the candles and I had to pay full price. So I showed her the picture and she called a manger over who seemed like she didn't want to be there. We both walked over to the sign and she told me that "this sign isn't supposed to be here." When the manager rang up the candles, she explained that people tamper with the signs. At this point she made it seem like I was the one who tampered with the sign, even though the sign is electronic and clearly displays the name of the product and the deal I should be getting. She continues to give me the "buy 1 get 1 1/2 off" instead of the "buy 1 get 1 free" deal. I questioned it and she said "NO. It's only 1/2 off 1 candle." She said this with an attitude and made it seem like I was stupid and I didn't know what I was talking about.
