Love coming to Walmart. They always have some new item to look at and purchase. I am not sure if this location is a tester one. Some stores test out newer products that they are going to put nationally later. It seems to have new items every time I go there. The prices are always very good and you just have to know what you are buying to get the best deals. I always buy cereal and chips here for sure they have the best prices around town. read more

He wasn't familiar with curbside pickup and went inside to the pick up desk instead. I guess the area was a bit disheveled due to low staffing but the customer service was still good. Went there today for a pickup order. Thinking it would be faster to actually go inside. It was shortly after they opened. With a long line and nowhere on the app to pick up an order I asked an older gentleman who was working just outside the pickup area if this was customer service or could we pick our one item up here. He looked at me like I just had a gerbil wearing a tiny showgirl's outfit pop out of my forehead. Then said, "Yeah it says pickup on the wall!" I attempted to locate a manager to share my experience in person but was unable to locate one, so I wanted to take a moment to recognize an outstanding associate. I visited Walmart Bruceville this evening to purchase several items. Unfortunately, a number of the products I needed were secured behind locked display cases and required assistance from an associate. There were also several other customers waiting for help at the same time. After pressing the assistance button, NATHAN came to help. Despite being busy, he greeted everyone with a positive attitude and sincerely apologized for the wait. Nathan efficiently assisted customers by unlocking the cases and retrieving the items we needed, all while maintaining a kind, professional, and respectful demeanor. What stood out most was Nathan's genuine commitment to customer service. He remained patient, courteous, and attentive, making each customer feel valued. In today's fast-paced retail environment, it is refreshing to encounter an employee who takes such pride in helping others. Not sure if they were just having a bad day but this is the worst store experience I've in a while. Placed an order on Thursday by 8pm to pick up Friday at 9am. They didn't have it ready at 9am so I got an email they needed until 9:30. Then I received an email at 9:30 that it still wasn't ready I would get another notice when it was. Got the email at 10:30 it was ready and got to the pick up location at 11. Checked in with the app, and waited 10 minutes with no one coming, called twice and went to voice mail, and finally just went inside. I will say the employees were very apologetic and their phone line was down, maybe they had a lot of orders to put together but man was it a mess. read more

Bought items for cleaning and hangers. I didn't realize I have so much clothes to hang. It's pretty good to find many kinds of hangers. Wooden and plastic. This location used to be my go to for items but lately they've been seriously lacking. Also dislike how they took away the self checkout kiosks and now you must use a cashier to check out. Mainly because they never have enough cashiers working, there are usually only about 2-3 and the line piles up quickly. I was just in there going through self check today. I can see and hear Mary Anne helping a white elderly gentleman with his purchase. She sounded so nice and helpful. I finish my purchase and walk towards Mary Anne, she's standing at the front as you leave the self check out area. Dangerous. I went to Walmart on errands, and found items stocked in the wrong place. The extras above the shelves are disorganized and stacked in a way where they could fall on a customer's head. Awful customer service, at the customer service desk. Actually appalled at the way that PANIA spoke to me. I'm with my two children trying to do an even exchange for a gift I received without a receipt. From what I understood, and what is posted behind the wall of the counter is that you can exchange or return with or without a receipt. If that's not the case then maybe they should change that sign. Anyways, when I first approached the counter, the gentleman behind the counter told me about their policy and that he would not be able to refund me, but he could do an exchange for the correct size of the exact same item. I went to go grab the shoes and came back to the counter. He was helping another guest and I walked up to a woman named Pania. I explained to her that I was returning the shoes in exchange for the correct size and she told me that they can't do that. When I pointed to the gentleman that helped me before and explain the situation, she rolled her eyes and tossed the shoes at me and said Welp if he told you that then I'll have to have a talk with him later. I stood there for a moment And she looked at me as if I did something wrong. I told her she didn't need to be rude, and then I had my children with me and she said well we don't do that so I don't know why he told you we could. I politely told her that that's none of my business and the least she could do would be to remain professional in front of customers and kids. She stuck with the attitude and I told her to have the day she deserved before walking away. Every time I go shopping and leave the store, it makes me feel awkward. There's always someone sitting there, and unless you proactively hand them the receipt, they just glance at it dismissively. DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT CARDS HERE! My card was skimmed in a regular line here. Made two different transactions at the register, a nonprofit purchase + a personal purchase. Both cards have been reported for fraudulent charges. Nonprofit card has had 5 transactions in 24 hours, 2 of which someone was able to use on Walmart.com, and the rest in person. This Walmart is a hit or miss depending on which part of the store you go to or depending on the items you're trying to get. The best part about this Walmart is that there is a large selection of items and it's in a convenient location. There are items they lock up unnecessarily (think allergy medicine). For items that are locked up, you must click the button to get someone to come over and open up the cabinet. Sometimes it takes several tries to get someone to come over. You can't just flag any employee down because they have to actually get a key. After you get someone to retrieve the item, you must check out at the first register, just to the right of the pharmacy. It's inconvenient because this line is the only one you purchase your locked up items. This is also not an express checkout, so people can be purchasing large amounts of items, which backs up the line. I suggest going during off times to avoid the lines (avoid going around dinner time any day and perhaps weekends). Service can also be hit or miss. At times, I've gotten nice service from the curbside pickup and from the customer service counter, and other times at the register I've gotten poor service. Keep in mind you can only price match to Walmart online. Basically they price match to themselves. They do not price match with other competitors anymore. read more

Their delivery driver delivered my items to someone else's house, along with photos of that other person's porch with our purchases sitting there. I contacted them, and they have yet to issue a nearly $40 refund, even after multiple phone calls and an email that they sent me asking for details (again). I answered the email - and got back a message stating "we don't monitor this email address." WTH?? If you want your purchases, it's best to shop in person. It's Sunday afternoon - you're feeling pretty productive and decide to go run some errands. Got a few items to return to Walmart - ya pack them up, figure out your receipts, hop in the car, drive over to good ole' Wally World, park, and walk through the automatic doors like you're the champ. Then horror hits you - you see the barricades by the return counter. It's dark. Your heart sinks and you mentally buckle your knees to the ground and scream "NoOooooooOOOOO!!....." Why oh why is the customer service counter closed? -_- You collect yourself and the anger and frustration sets in. You talk to a worker with a glimmer of hope that you can still process your return....but nope, the counter is CLOSED. The worker was semi-apologetic, but gave no reason. It's just closed, she said. I've gotten over Walmart no longer matching their customer service/return counter operating hours with their store hours. No more night returns, but stick with their schedule. OK, I can do that. Now, they just randomly have their counters closed with no explanation. This hasn't only happened once, but 2 to 3 times during the past few months. It's frustrating, it's maddening, and it's a complete waste of time and gas money. Mr. Walton's ghost, you've built a huge retail corporation and the folks that run it today can't even keep your return counter open during the stated hours. Walmart has two superstores in the Elk Grove area. This one in Bruceville Road and Whitelock Parkway is the one I come to a little more often. This store has an easier parking lot with a less crowded parking lot. The store itself is also very organized compared to the other Walmart stores. But same as most of Walmart. Customer services are hit and miss. Sometimes I have a very nice worker who is happy to help. Sometimes I can't even find any employees on the floor unless I go all the way to the customer service and they may or may not be available to help! This store is clean. The cashier lines are moving fast. The parking lot is safer. I think I'll keep shopping in this Walmart more often. read more

One item I wanted was Men's underwear, however, they were locked in a case. Honestly, I didn't want to have to wait for someone to be called and then have someone hover over me while I try to choose the right size and products I need for my family! Embarrassing! I guess I will order online! I understand with all the retail thefts to lock everything up, but Men's underwear? Eeek! I didn't realize they were such a sought after product! At self checkout this morning and the girl named Danielle is a shady azz b*tch. I asked her how do I scan 12 cups of noodles the shortcut way without having to scan them one by one and she interrupted me before I even finished asking and says something that doesn't even make sense or answers my question. She starts talking about how I can't scan it that way unless if I want to bag it and I'm just like wtf is she talking about. Why would I want to bag it if it's already 12 cups in a box? So I asked her again,"So I have to scan it one by one?" (Which is what I am trying to avoid doing) and she says,"No, blah blah blah..."still making no sense neither did she answer my question. My young kids were harassed at this Walmart and the employees just turned a blind eye. My kids were minding their own business at the toys section when a group of teens held up a cell phone playing explicit pornography with sound on with the intent of having my kids see this. The store is pretty clean and organized, however they have so much product locked up- makeup, face wash, pens/pencils, shaving cream, etc. On top of that, the self checkout is frequently closed meaning you have to wait for people to unlock cases for you, then wait in long lines. They do NOT pick up the phone whatsoever. Have called multiple times multiple days for an hour and the only people that pick up are pharmacy but they arent able to transfer you to another line. I've never thought of Walmart as a place to get great service, but even the most threadbare, technical existence of service would be appreciated. It's one thing to get bad service from employees who just don't know. It's another to not find anyone, anywhere, who can help you. I came in with the simple task of buying milk. Someone, in their wisdom, decided to plop a giant pallet of refrigeratable goods in front of the cooler door I needed to access. I couldn't even reach through the neighboring door to get what I needed. After a good five minutes of wandering around looking for someone to help me, I encountered a gal with a Walmart badge who literally stopped mid-aisle and turned around to go the other way when she saw me coming. So I ventured across half the store to find a guy in electronics who, despite seeing me stand there, turned and helped another customer who walked up after me. In short, no service, no milk. I suppose the bonus is that any other time I've come here I have gotten what I needed and the selection and stocking is better at this Walmart than other locations. I went to the electronic section to buy an iPhone and the lady there was very helpful very friendly and then she said she had to find the person with a key to unlock the iPhones in the back. 30 minutes later, I'm still waiting she can't find them and no one really seems to care... she was very apologetic and said this happens all the time. First and foremost, let me just put it out there, I prefer Target over Walmart. But every so often I stop by Walmart because certain things can be more economical. On the occasions I do patronize this place I'm always reminded as to why I prefer Target. In most cases, I find my frustration lies in the customer service aspect and today was no different. I got less than 10 items and placed them on the conveyor belt then had my reusable bags lightly placed on top, for the convenience of the cashier bagging them. Little did I know, Walmart cashiers do not bag reusable bags. Ok, fair enough. My concern was more or so with "Carolina" the cashier. Instead if sharing this information, she barked "can you get your bag?" me, in a state of confusion, unknowingly picked up the bag and said "this". She said "you do it"...still confused, I said "I have to bag it" . "Yes", Carolina said. So I bag it. Carolina went on to tell me my total and could care less about me not knowing the protocol. Nor did she care to explain which would've been decent form of customer service but I guess I might've had my hopes aimed too high for Walmart. Horrible! Trying to get a refund is a challenge here. They will either revert the balance on to your card or provide a gift card. Having the balance reverted to your card can take up to two weeks. And having the balance placed on a gift card comes with ridiculous conditions. To begin with, the gift card is not easily read by the cash register. Forcing the cashier to try numerous tasks, until finally they have to call in a manager to get the funds release. Spending as much as 20 minutes trying to get the card to cover the balance. Leaving the customer and those waiting in line extremely frustrated and at times not using the gift card and paying with cash. On other occasions, having others customers so frustrated they offer to pay the balance for you. This happened to me 4 times. The next time I came in, I had customers service confirmed the balance on each card and that they were in working order. And still the card was not functioning at the register and delay the transaction until a manager came over to help! Another problem using a gift card is that once funds are placed on the gift card, they won't transfer the balance back to you original payment. Even if you have your receipt. When I shared these challenges with the customer service representative, she insisted that the cards work and disregard my experience and concerns. When I ask to speak with the store manager in order to get the matter resolved, the customer service clerk wanted to push me aside to wait for a manager whom she didn't even know if the manager was in the store!!! Really?!? Walmarts refunds policies and the procedure with try to use a gift card are NOT ACCEPTABLE! Their corporate office needs to rectify this problem! I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the state. This procedure is robbing customers of these funds . I will reframe from showing at this Walmart and advise you to do the same! Terrible service! read more

This is definitely one of the better Walmart location in Northern California. I have been two tons of Walmart locations just like probably everybody else on this planet LOL. And I must say I was very pleased with it this location. I first wanted mention the part. There is plenty of parking at this Walmart and it makes it super simple for you to get close to the front door. I next want to mention the people that work at this location. They were very kind and they did everything they could to make sure we had a really good experience. I definitely want to compliment the cleanliness of this location. The store was very clean and you can tell the staff definitely cares about their customers. I went to the money center and it was very easy for me to get a money order from this location. Got line at the money center was not too long which it is at the other Walmart location. Super fast. I even bought stamps from this location as well. I typically do not buy stamps from Walmart but it seemed like it was a really good deal at the time so I did purchase them. All in all everything went really smoothly at this location.
