I've been going to this store for years. They have a lot of different items including holiday decorations, diy jewelry, crafts, chests/trunks, photo albums, fabric, puzzles, and much more. I have gotten so much doll furniture from here. The doll furniture is really good quality. Many items go on sale for half off (except for the doll furniture). They have a lot of storage containers, including for storing jewelry. Some of their items can be pricey but they have sales often. The store is huge and it's located in a strip mall with lots of parking. It's a craft store on steroids. I love coming to this store. They have so much stuff. A little bit of everything you can think of. Today I was looking for Godzilla stuff. I saw on Instagram that they now have some Godzilla merch. The one I wanted with the light up LEDs was out of stock. They looked ok but not quite what I wanted. The wife bought some stuff. They have a great selection of Snoopy stuff which she loves and Hello Kitty too. The place is clean and will take a little time to walk all the isles. Came here to look for some craft things. They have a little of everything here. From decoration, sewing, yarn, baking, art, basically anything related to crafts and art. The store was pretty quiet, but there were quite a few people in the store. We went into the store around 6pm on a weekend. There was not a lot of staff on duty, that I saw. There was only one line opened for checkout, but I think they could have opened another register to be in use. The checkout line was pretty slow. Waited some time to check out. I wanted to give this store 5 stars, because it's really an amazing shopping wonderland. But my main reason for coming here was because I have this extensive hobby of collecting postage stamps. I started as a child and collected stamps throughout my lifetime. I have to give my dear mom a lot of credit for this, as she supported my hobby and always saved her stamps for me. Unfortunately, having a busy life, led me to collect the stamps and put them in bags and boxes, as I kept putting off organizing them. But just recently, I finally found some time and enthusiasm to rediscover this daunting task ahead of me. I needed to purchase a whole bunch of clear stamp mounts in different sizes, which helps protect each stamp while displayed in my albums. Hobby Lobby is the first place I expected to find the crystal mounts. However, I was so disappointed to find that they had close to absolutely nothing for the serious stamp collector! No supplies except for a couple of grab bag postal stamps and some storage bags. They were focused more on coin collecting. Even a few staff members didn't quite understand what I was inquiring about. I was so hoping not to have to shop online because I prefer to support my local businesses. I must admit though, I still enjoyed the time I spent here browsing the store. They have a huge variety of merchandise from hobby items to home décor. I enjoyed browsing the aisles getting ideas and making mental notes on what they carry. You'll find candle making, soap making, painting supplies, wood working, artificial flower arrangements, jewelry creations, candy & cake decorating, wedding stuff, crocheting & knitting, fabrics, lots of household & seasonal decorations, including toys, puzzles, storage containers, gifts, nick knacks and religious supplies. I love going to Hobby Lobby for the variety, price, and quality. They have supplies for all craft hobbies, and I especially go for the fabric and yarn. The fabric selection is fairly big and about half the price of Joann. Bias binding only 99 cents! They have sales pretty much every other week on all items. There's a huge selection for decor with various designs. Great for teachers and classroom supplies and decor. Great selection of shelves and bins. The minute I walked into the Hobby Lobby in Elk Grove. The store gave me an extraordinarily comfortable feel. Everything in the store is presentable and nicely displayed. It gave me the confidence to make my purchase in this store. The different departments are organized very well. I can easily find the items I want in the store. They don't have too many employees working on the sales floor. But they're very nice if you need help. The cashiers at the checkout are friendly as well. The Hobby Lobby parking lot is very safe and not very busy too. I don't have any difficulty getting a parking space in front of the store every time when I'm here. read more

I've been a HL shopper for years despite having opposing beliefs. I think buying witchcraft supplies from Christians is fun! But today I was so completely disappointed in 2 asshat managers at Hobby Lobby. I walked past two (male) managers -- the kind you see dressed in car salesmen outfits with walkie talkies. I don't recall seeing them at this location before, which means they're either from corporate, or they're the kind of managers that are rarely on the floor. One manager is telling the other how COVID obviously isn't that big of a deal if we can take our masks off in restaurants, and then proceeded to chuckle at his own scientific findings. I held my breath, as it was painful to hear, and walked on. Then, I circle back about 5 minutes later looking for something and I see them AGAIN. This time Mr. Wizard, the Hobby Lobby manager is telling his mate about how certain people, mainly young men, don't get as sick as others when they contract COVID, which shows that it's really not even that bad. I'm sorry... Whattttttttt? Y'all, I am SHOOK. It took everything for me not to go back and aggressively explain to them that their place of employment is not the appropriate forum to discuss their dangerous pandemic beliefs.... but due to said pandemic, my employment situation has changed, leaving my bail money fund a little light this year. By opening a store in Elk Grove, Hobby Lobby is responsible for KEEPING OUR COMMUNITY SAFE. First time ever to hobby lobby and loving it! It is like a combo of my favourite store: Michaels + HomeGoods! They have a huge space and a lot of things are on sale. Their floral stuff is far more complete and realistic (and pricy) than the other store, but I think if I need fake floral this will be the stores! They also have tones of picture frames on sale, better deal than HomeGoods. They have lots of decorative stuff and mirrors, pricier than HomeGoods but I can see people will buy it from there as their inventory / style is more complete! I was surprised they have comic stuff. Those Star Wars drawers knobs are so cute! They also have the 40%!coupon for full priced items, so I got the hat for my babies :) I will return, though maybe not too soon as it is so hard to resist the temptation and not buy stuff that you don't need there!!! read more

ATTENTION ALL DIYERS & CRAFTERS!!! Hobby Lobby is the craft store you need to visit! With how large their store is I could shop in here for hours. They have a plethora of items for the home! It's all a one stop shop for home decor; items for a man cave to beautiful wall art (lots of it!) to fill your home with all the feels. I especially like how they have sections decorated with their decor to help spark some inspiration, or straight up copy. Lol! Yes, there is even small furniture here too such as little furry stools for a girls room to a front patio bench! More than half the time they have stuff on sale, anywhere from 30-50% off, it just depends on the category. FYI, they do not take competitor coupons but always have a 40% off coupon on a regular priced item available on their website. Employees are randomly scattered and are easy to grab their attention if you need assistance. If you're like me though, you'll be too occupied browsing to even want help! The many visits I've already made, the store is always clean and inviting. I will say those who are new to the crafting world may be overwhelmed. Yet, what I love is how organized Hobby Lobby is and you don't necessarily see random stuff where they do not belong. My sister has never been here before, so I took here this past weekend. I was browsing and wasn't looking for anything in particular and then I found the section that was 75% off and some stuff 90% off, and I found a huggeeee Spider-Man picture for my daughter for Christmas that was normally $80 and I got it for $20, it was in great condition! So while grandma kept my daughter distracted I ran it up to the front and asked if they could hide it until I came back so my daughter wouldn't see it and the masher was great she took it and hid it for me while we finished shopping. I came back to the front grandma bought her stuff and then took my daughter to the car and the manager even asked "is she around" she wanted to make sure she wasn't around before she pulled the picture back out. It's quite organized, unless you are looking for a blue ball point pen. I asked at least three employees and none of them knew of a location. They have many types of pens but a blue ballpoint pen was never to be found. To be fair we showed up 15 minutes prior to closing and we knew it because we got the message, "we about to close....." This place is soooo fun!!! My favorite place to be, especially during this time of the year!!! So many Christmas decor to choose from, it's literally adult Disneyland. I come here a lot to look for deals for yarn. It's my new found hobby knitting and crotcheting. I can do both. The thing is JoAnne Fabrics is just nearby this place and the prices for yarn is not competitive. I think Hobby Lobby is a tad more expensive. But there are a lot of other craft supplies that they have MORE than Joanne Fabrics. Its a fun place and I can spend hours and hours just looking at more other stuff. I went in today to purchase something that was 19.99 on their website but the sticker price in-store was 29.99. The front end lead/supervisor told me that the sticker price was on the item before the price online so they had to sell it to me for 29.99 and that they don't price match their own website. I bought mine online for 11.99 (with their online/in-store 40% discount). I'm actually really surprised that they would rather have their customers purchase things online vs in-store. read more

Customer service really depends on who you ask. The associate that was restocking the Scrapbook and Paper Craft sections was not helpful at all. I was shopping for a new scrapbook and materials and wanted to know if they carry additional protective covers for the scrapbooks that doesn't already come with one. She shook her head with a rude "no" and walked away. She didn't even bother to give a suggestion or anything. Then, I hear another customer asking the same associate where the restroom was located. She pointed them in the right direction and even gave the exact location where to find the restroom. Maybe she shouldn't be working in the Scrapbook and Paper Crafts section if she's more experienced in the restroom area. I was disappointed, but I still purchased the Scrapbook because I ran into another associate that was more helpful and gave me additional recommendations for another project i was contemplating on working on. read more

A tip I learned is that one week half the store is on sale and the other week it's the other half! If you have a regular priced item u get to use the coupon code to get 45% off, SCORE!!!! Another plus is they have the cutest home decor for all the season! I am really conflicted as to my scoring of the store because my review is mostly based on the horrible treatment of myself and staff from a particular manager. I only post negatively when something is really egregious and this experience hit the mark. If you shop at Hobby Lobby at all, you know that their furniture is ALWAYS discounted 30%, per their own signage. When something is "always discounted 30%" it is no longer a discount and it is their regular price. Well I found a cute small table and it was damaged. Not a scuff a pretty good sized issue I would have to fix. I took it up front and asked if they had more in the back. The upfront "manager" which is just a girl with NO managerial clout calls the store manager on a walkie talkie. Asks if they have more. I can see him. She describes the item and before she can finish, he says no! He doesnt even know what it is. Then she asks if they can discount it due to the damage and he walks by WITH his walkie and talks into radio not even looking at me and I am right there, saying "Its already discounted 30%!" Hangs up and walks away. I was floored. The girl "manager" was clearly afraid of him. I have seen him in action before. He is very snotty and acts as if he is a king and they are his minions. Just awful and truly not representative of the store's core values. He is middle aged, mid 50's at least. I will be contacting the Company headquarters because its awful how he tarnishes their brand. There weren't any and I decided to get the plastic 11 x 14 and ask if they could cut it. The manager, Jason helped me. Turns out that the plastic one couldn't be cut because it would've shattered. But, this manager went out of his way to find me a glass 10 x 13 from a discontinued picture frame and sold it to me cheap, cheap! i was so very delighted. Came in yesterday and was super excited to do an alter for my recruit that will be graduating from the Marines. I was impressed with all the ideas and selections of stuff, however a little disappointed at the fact that I was looking for stickers for the Marines, but couldn't find any. I found Army, Navy, Air Force but no Marines. When I asked for help the lady didn't even know what the Marines are. I had to buy several extra stickers so that I could finish my project. read more

I prefer this store over Michael's now. The first time I was exposed to Hobby Lobby was at this location. This location is actually considered smaller than other Hobby Lobby's I've been to, but this store is NOT small! I remember we walked in and had a full discussion on needing one or two shopping carts. It's a craft store with home decor (inside and outside). You can find seasonal stuff for any holiday. You can find toys, organizational stuff like boxes and dividers and even some office stuff. I like their wedding section. They surprisingly had some goodies for a bridal shower/bachelorette party that I was looking for. I was able to pick up the materials I needed at this location after venturing to Michael's and being disappointed. Every time I come into this store, I want to start scrapbooking or creating some huge craft project. My lack of motivation always prevents me from leaving with two shopping carts. Restroom was easy to find and spacious. Color scheme was brutal, filled with beige. Large mirrors accompanying 2 sinks and an automatic paper towel dispenser. My experience thus far seemed average. However, a couple stalls had toilet paper littering the ground and the flush of the toilets were not especially good and somewhat aggressive.
