This flooring store was recommended to us by our friends parents who recently did a remodel and said that they had the best prices around. We went to the location to see what they have and honestly, the store was huge and had lot of selections, not only on the vinyl planks that we got but hardwood and tiles and any flooring you can think of. Not only did they have lots of different designs, but also different thicknesses and types. Something to note. We did notice that a few of our pieces that we got were damaged and I called to see if we could return them and they said as long as it was not a large return, but they could take it back, but that if the return was going to be a large amount they would have to contact the the manufacturer. We definitely over purchased to make sure that we have enough so we're going to have boxes that are unopened to return and hopefully that goes smoothly. We did purchase our flooring on one of their payment plans of no interest for 18 months so I don't know if that plays a factor. But I will update my review once that happens! We have passed by this store a thousand times from the highway. We decided to come in and look at their flooring. It's a pretty large store. They sell different types of flooring and tiles. They also have vanities, countertops, sinks, lighting, faucets, mirrors, shower doors/accessories, and much more. We saw quite a bit of sales and clearance stuff as well. We were looking for durable vinyl flooring that was waterproof. We saw a couple that we liked. We called our contractor and was giving the specifics and asking what details of thickness and such that we needed to be looking for. We had this sales guy trying to help us. We did not ask for help. He insisted that he knows his stuff. I understand he knows his job. However, our contractor also was giving us details and his requirements as well. The info was not meshing. We are trying to do a remodel from 8 hours away. We had a hard time trying to get away from the sales guy so that we could have a personal chat to pick out our stuff. Overall, great store with lots of options and sales. Salesperson too pushy. I would give 3.5 stars. Ample parking. read more

This is our renovation Disneyland, 2 years living at our house we did a lot of Renovations already from floors to baseboards, crown molding etc, We would always visit them to check out tiles floors bathroom, lighting and anything else we need, they also sell samples for 5 dollars a piece so you can bring it home and check it out, We had to buy a lot of flooring from them before and we did have a problem with the quantity because they didn't have it in stock and they wanted us first to pick it up and drive to a farther branch but my husband insisted for them to have the quantity available on the floor since we've pre-paid the amount we needed, we'll to cut the story short the manager my husband spoke to was able to do it and have them ship it to their store and we were able to pick it up on time. They have a whole bunch of choices for everything you need. We did visit yesterday to pick out tile flooring for the 3 bathrooms we are doing at the house. read more

We recently visited for a home countertop project and had a terrible experience from start to finish: * We paid $75 for a laser measurement, but when the contractor arrived, he refused to perform a laser measurement at all. * The contractor told us our current sink size wouldn't work, even though it was replaced just a couple years ago without issue. He insisted we choose a smaller sink. * We were told we would be responsible for moving all our appliances ourselves -- something we were never informed about beforehand. * And to top it all off, we never even received a quote after the appointment, the quartz design we selected was with floor and decor which they said they would provide to the contractor. We reached out to request a refund for measurement fee, but Floor & Decor refused -- even though the service we paid for was not properly delivered. Poor communication and poor service. We will absolutely be taking our business elsewhere. read more

As some other reviewers have mentioned, Floor & Decor seems to be more of a find-your-own-contractor/DIY sort of store. I walked in to shop for flooring and was able to find the different types by the large signs overhead. There were a handful of salespeople walking around, but no one greeted me or asked if I had any questions. Unlike some other flooring stores, you cannot get free samples (think Home Depot) and you can't rent/borrow large samples (think RC Willey and Zothex). You can buy a plank of flooring from the box for about $5. Besides flooring they sell items for remodeling other parts of the home like vanities. Anyway, seems like a decent store, but probably not what I was looking for. read more

Home improvement project: Master Bath Vanity Went to Floor & Decor in Elk Grove, this showroom is located at the Delta Shores Shopping Center, nearer to At Home and RC Willey Home Furnishings side of the shopping center. I was canvassing for countertops for a home remodeling project. My handyman sent me samples that he found for me at this store. They didn't have it at the Rocklin location which was closer to my home, hmm, anyway, I found it here and, luckily, they had it in stock. I was able to flag a sales floor associate who happened to be heading my way. Bruce checked inventory, only 2 left of the one I wanted. He took my information. I had mentioned that my handyman will be picking up the material. He said no problem. I followed him to the front of the store to the cash registers and paid for the item. Done. Thanks, Bruce! This was an easy transaction. The countertop selection are located in the back of the store towards the left side from entrance. While my slab was still waiting to be picked up I received a call from the store saying that there has been an accident and my countertop broke. Since they no longer have inventory of the style I wanted they offered to replace it with a similar style countertop. I agreed and they emailed me a receipt of the exchange. YES!! Finally they have a floor and decor near me! I don't have to drive all the way to Rocklin to get what i need. The customer service was great, the cashiers were a little loopy but its the grand opening and probably their first day at the job so I cut them some slack. The selections are huge plenty to choose from and now they even started carrying vanity's mirrors the whole THANG, THANG!! Im so excited I hope this place thrives out here so they stay in business. Theres plenty of parking and the location is great because after you get done shopping and tired of picking colors and such they have all types of spots to go grab a bite to eat. This location is right next to an RC willy so you could also buy some new furniture to add to your remodel. Return policy is a joke. Purchased an electric tile saw and it was defective. I showed the manager video and photo proof that when in use, it cracks the tile instead of cutting. He even agreed, then said it's their policy to not accept returns for opened and used items, even if it's defective, so if I want an exchange or replacement, I'll have to file a warranty directly with the manufacturer. I asked about their manual tile cutters that slide along a rail and score the tile, it's not a power tool, so what's their policy on returns or exchanges of defective items. He said same thing, they won't take it back. Never purchasing a single thing from this place again. This company doesn't stand by the products they sell, so they'll use it to make money, but they won't help you if what you bought doesn't work. read more

After discovering mold underneath my old linoleum, I needed new flooring for my bathroom. Heck, while I was at it, I decided I should replace the flooring in my other bathroom as well. Trying to find bathroom flooring that was not a wood design AND good quality was extremely difficult. I recognize the farmhouse look is in right now, but sheesh not everyone wants this design in their home. I wanted a honeycomb flooring, because for me I like vintage design. It reminds me of my grandparent's home that was built in the 1940's. Plus, in my opinion it has a timeless appeal. Anyway, I looked and looked at several retailers without success. The website for Floor & Decor was not helpful either, but since their store in the Delta Shores shopping center is near my home I decided to check it out. I am so glad I came into the store. It is super clean, and the layout is customer friendly. It is very easy to find what you need in the store. Items are clearly marked, and I love the display area. Unfortunately, the flooring I wanted was not in stock, but the employee was super nice and ordered it for me. I have been to this store often in the past 7 years. I've tiled my kitchen floor, bathroom shower and floor, as well as purchasing ledger rocks for the front of the house. Made purchases for others houses as well. A couple of weeks ago I purchased @ 250 square feet of laminate flooring for my living room. Once done, I'll do the bedrooms. I laid 4 boxes of laminate flooring out for 24-48 hours (per the manufacturers instructions). I made my cuts for the first 4 rows. As I was progressing, I noticed pieces of the laminate were "chipping" off. I watched F&D's videos on installation (this is @ the 5th time laying flooring like this, but it's been @ 10 years since last time), thinking maybe it was something I did. After the video I continued. As I lifted a piece up, to reset it for even lines, another chip came off. I looked further and noticed the 'cut' edges weren't very smooth. So...I brought the unused pieces back, figuring maybe I need a more sturdier product. I wasn't going to ask for credit on the pieces I had cut. We've all been there. As I brought in the boxes (@ 14-15) I was told that I couldn't return the open boxes. I tried to explain that you had to open the boxes (to lay the flooring out 24-48 hours). All I got was, "Sir, our policy is....". You can imagine I got a little loud. While I was willing to "eat" the cost of the cut flooring I had cut. All in all I'm out $300.00 (after spending @ $1500.00). Not a single person cared about my problem. All they would do is tell me to calm down. They were telling me that I'm out $300! Coming in there, I was ready to make a new purchase. My plan was to ask the people at the Pro desk which flooring would best alleviate my issues. I had expected to maybe have to go up in price. I would have been OK with that. I was told that, "We tell you that you cannot return opened boxes." No one said that to me. Had they said that, I would have asked about the MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS to lay the flooring out. Garbage policy! Uncaring cashiers. I had always had great experiences here. Customer service is so easy to do, it surprises me how bad Floor and Decor treat theirs. Never again. read more

Get excited, home project fanatics. The new Floor & Decor is just about your best bet for all your flooring and many of your renovation needs. It's hard to be super enthusiastic about a store that sells flooring, but their prices and staff make it a memorable experience worth repeating. When we redid all our flooring in hardwood last year, Floor & Decor had the best prices and was well worth the drive. Now that we have a bathroom to renovate, we knew the first and last place to go to. If you live downtown like myself, this Delta Shores location is closer, nicer and more easily accessible than the older Roseville location. Pricing on average can go from a couple cents to dollars cheaper than their competitors. I haven't found a price elsewhere, at least for the same quality, that they haven't been able to beat. We saved enough money buying our latest round of flooring that we also bought a beautiful marble-top vanity. Not something we came for but something we are happy we left with. We met with Heidi Dorfmeier twice to discuss our bathroom remodel and she was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and patient! Heidi provided us with invaluable guidance and advice as we chose the materials and fixtures that we needed. Absolutely the worst customer service!! 1st trip was assisted by an employee that knew absolutely nothing about shower tile and tried to sell us deck mud for the shower walls. He spent more time on his cell phone then assisting me. 2nd trip was for more tile and a return. The Middle Aged woman with short black hair and glasses at the check stand, has no business in customer service. Extremely rude and condescending and appeared to hate her job. We needed a new bathroom! Ours was over 74 years old with vintage cracked tile, a few leaks and sawdust flying out of the vanity. We had a wonderful Contractor that requested we head out to Floor and Decor. The store has beautiful displays and so many product choices. Our designer was Renee Crawford. When you pick up your tile, look at all of the box lot numbers, so all your tiles match. I had wonderful help in the store by Dennis. I asked the question, and he told me to get boxes with the same lot numbers. He had the warehouse pull my 30 boxes to be ready for pick up. Once we had them all unloaded on my car port. We decided to renovate our bathrooms and change our floor tiles for the first time. We spent several weeks looking at tiles and was able to find something really liked. I met Courtney who helped me put my large order together. The Elk Grove store did not have enough in stock and the rocklin store had just enough to ship to Elk Grove for an additional cost. Courtney did some research and was able to find the amount i needed in their distribution center. I was able to save in cost. She also was able to have two pallets of marble transferred from their Fresno distribution center to Elk Grove. Without her taking the time to do the research and calling different locations I would have not been able to complete out bathrooms and flooring. Courtney is friendly, went beyond her duties to help us get the items we needed. Brad who is a contract delivery guy for floor and decor was also excellent and friendly. I visit here so often I'm recognized on site by at least three employees. I'm renovating an entire house with 8 rooms that all need flooring, and or accent / wall / shower tile. The staff is awesome! Cashier Jasmine laughs each time I come in because I'm always returning and getting something new and is so helpful with refunds, exchanges, etc. Another employee named Josh has helped us countless times and made great suggestions or shared ideas when I wasn't finding what I wanted. He's pulled extra stock from the back twice to complete my orders. I don't love ordering online then picking it up because it always takes waaaaaaay longer than finding it on the floor, but it is an option for large or heavy orders. Overall the folks that work here are super helpful, have useful opinions and suggestions and has made redesigning my house much more affordable and pleasant for a person without a huge budget. read more

As I was looking through their vast selection, an employee named Rainbow offered her help and expertise. She truly was a joy and a pot of gold during this stressful time. Her knowledge about the types of materials that they carry was remarkable. I ended up settling on vinyl flooring and porcelain tile as an accent. I didn't realize that porcelain tiles were more heat resistant than ceramic. I really appreciated her attention to detail and advice. Service With A Smile! It's so rare for salespeople anywhere to offer assistance before you've even asked. But that's what C.C. did at the Floor & Decor in Carmel Mountain Ranch! He happily lifted several boxes of tile onto my flat bed trolley for me, which saved my back and was much appreciated! Then up at the register I was greeted with a lovely smile by Pendeza (gosh I hope I got that right?!) who processed my large purchase and also helped me return some unused samples. And btw, those free samples (for PRO customers) were helpful to see in my spaces, which is why I came back and purchased 4 different tiles for my client's bathroom renovation: a large format tile for the back wall, oversized subway for the side walls, small mosaic tile for the bathroom floor and curb less shower pan, and a smaller subway tile for the niche. Initially I visited the Rocklin location, and after leaving beyond frustrated at the horrendous customer service I received, I phoned the Sacramento location, and what a night and day difference. Sarita (who took the call), was beyond helpful and went the extra mile for me. She confirmed the tile was in stock, (something the Rocklin location could have done, but said he could not because he worked in the warehouse). When I arrived, they greeted me as soon as I walked in, (they ignore you in Rocklin), and she even had the tile ready for me on a cart. If anyone from the Floor and Decor store reads this, you may want to have the Sacramento store train the employees for the Rocklin store, or maybe have a shadow day. Guest bathroom a success!!! Installed 36" x 36" Ducall Porcelain tiles from floor to ceiling. Also tiled the longest wall coming out of the shower. Gorgeous just gorgeous!!! Never shopping for tile anywhere else... Staff was very helpful in the selection. Pick up was a breeze. Love the different look of the huge tiles! Few grout lines too!
