While the wife and daughter were browsing artsy and crafty items, there were a lot of interesting non-arts and crafts merchandise on sale that fit my interest a lot more. I haven't come in to browse and shop for a year or so since Hobby Lobby isn't usually my cup of tea type of place, but I was surprised that they've expanded (or I did not notice before) their games, puzzles, and books selections. In particular, I like board and card games and there was a good selection of games and it was nice to hold in hand and read descriptions to buy tangibly instead of online. They even have some clothing items like they had some winter beanies and hats on clearance from Christmas time. Dabbling in drawing occasionally, it was nice to see a big variety of drawing and painting pads to choose from. What surprised me was that some (maybe all?) of them were Made in Italy, which hopefully means better quality. The rest of Hobby Lobby seems to be made in China, so those paper pads seem a good deal in comparison. Another area that was a pleasant surprise were toys on sale here, again maybe it's b/c I didn't notice before, but there's a bunch of different little kids toys and stuffed animals and these squishy animal things my kids tell me about that are all on sale here even though this is supposed to be like an arts and crafts store? Maybe stuffed toys are "hobbies"? Either way, I found it convenient that I can get some gifts for little kids in my life (friends' kids, or my kids' friends, or nieces and nephews) here instead of having to go into a toy store which I try to avoid, especially now that my kids are older. All in all, Hobby Lobby is better than I remember the last I visited. I also saw many different sizes and versions of bibles and other inspiration books for sale, and tons of decor for home and the office. My wife purchased something and I didn't but the cashier was friendly and quick. So service seems good. Turns out this place is pretty cool and for anyone, it's really a big comprehensive place and not just for those into arts and crafts, Hobby Lobby's changed my previous perception of their store and I think I'll stop by once in awhile for some games, toys, and maybe books. read more

I really enjoy Hobby Lobby in that they offer so many crafting supplies for a reasonable price even without a coupon. The store is HUGE. Joann's was a favorite, but now that they're closed, I either go here or another competitor still in business. This location particularly seems to have lots of clearance, as well, which I have to keep myself from buying. Items are well organized here. Service is generally very friendly here. Returns are generally also pretty easy. Lines can get long, but they move fairly quickly. Plenty of parking here at Delta Shores. Can't say much else more! read more

Hobby Lobby is one of the many big box stores in Delta Shores. It's a bit far down the line, past Old Navy from the freeway, closer to Walmart. Due to it's a giant shopping center they also have a giant parking lot so there is plenty of parking, no searching for a spot. There are so many good deals here. I saw on one of my Facebook Groups that they have minnie mouse ears for 50% off so I went to Hobby Lobby for my $10 ears. I ended up spending $30 more on items that I didn't need or plan on buying. The issue is they had a 40% off sale on scrapbooking items and I got sucked in. I bought some embellishments that we can use for our greeting cards. I also got a Christmas puzzle for my mom as a Christmas gift. It was also 50% off. All Christmas items were 50% off, but the Christmas scrapbooking embellishments were only 40% off and so was the Christmas Scrapbooking paper. I try to keep myself out of Hobby lobby because I get sucked in to buy things I don't need. Hobby Lobby has so many cute things to buy and they always have sales. read more

My family and a few friends did some retail shopping at Delta Shores today and Hobby Lobby was definitely on the list to check out. The inside is very clean and organized, but I get so overwhelmed when trying to look at everything. Their Christmas stuff was 50% off so I picked up a Grinch puzzle, some Grinch pjs for my daughter and a couple of other Christmas gifts/stocking stuffers. They have such a great selection of everything from crafts to whole room decorations - I love seeing their little room setup ideas throughout the store. When my family and I moved into our new house 7 years ago, we decorated a lot of our rooms with Hobby Lobby decor! Overall, I like their stuff, but I think that they set their original prices high and then smack a sale sign on stuff to make it feel like people are saving money. I got an art portfolio for a Christmas gift and when it was the wrong size (I needed to upsize) I went to return/exchange. I was greeted with suspicion despite purchasing it a week before, tags/labels on, and I had the receipt. The employee said "I don't think this is ours" and gave me a searching look. I stood there quietly and waited while he got the manager who confirmed it was an item they stocked. From that point on the return was uneventful but the experience was a bit bizarre. As for the politics, I'm not a fan of Hobby Lobby and their health insurance Supreme Court case that allowed them to limit reproductive health access through their employee. Insurance. I called to ask about pajama pants for my daughter, and Roxanne went out of her way to check what they had and give me helpful information. She provided absolutely great customer service. Bc I was on a mission to find the best picture frame for my deceased maternal grandparents & aunt to place by their urn we kept returning back to this Hobby Lobby that seemed to have the best selection for picture frames at a fair cost even though there wasn't an ongoing sale. Thanks to the help of my wife to downsize the print we happen to find the perfect sized picture frame here at this Hobby Lobby despite us living closer to the one in Elk Grove. She felt they had a better selection of frames at this Delta Shore location. And I have to agree! We managed to get customer service whenever we have needed it. Just ask a supervisor if you really can't get an answer from a specific employee quote my wife. Although we missed those old 40% off coupons they still have fair prices for the items they carry. Always try to hit their sales when you have the opportunity to do so just bc that's really worth it! Wifey loves their artificial floral selection especially during the festive holiday winter season! Worst customer service ever. I was overrung for 4 items. Cashier Kevin G didn't disclose it until after I paid. I had to go to a different register to get my refund. That register had several customers in line. I asked ROXANNE if I needed to wait in line again so they can fix an issue they made. She was adamant that was the only way I can get my money back. Such an inconvenience for someone who already waited her turn in line and now I have to wait in line longer to fix an issue THEY CAUSED. That is not how you customer service. This is one of the best-looking outsides and inside Hobby Lobby stores. Most of the Hobby Lobby stores are in older neighborhoods and look dated. But this one in Delta Shores Shopping Center looks good inside and out. The store is spotless, and all the items are very friendly and presentable. They looked great, and I want to bring them home. The workers in the Delta Shores store do an excellent job! The employees are very friendly. They talk to every customer at the checkout counter and ensure you find what you're looking for! The store has an easily navigated layout. I can find the stuff in the store very quickly. The parking lot is clean and safe. It is not very busy in front of the store. You'll find candle making, soap making, painting supplies, wood working, artificial flower arrangements, jewelry creations, candy & cake decorating, wedding stuff, crocheting & knitting, fabrics, and lots of household & seasonal decorations. If something isn't in stock in store, you can ask the cashier or manager to place an order for you to ship it to the store. I was able to order letter trays for my baby shower. It took a long time, longer than the expected date. But I am glad they didn't forget about me and still called me right before my event when they finally received my shipment. Came in today looking for some mini gable boxes to make Halloween treat boxes for my family, the staff were very kind and attentive in helping me find what I needed. In fact this place is huge with lots of items for a hobbyist like me who loves to put things together and don't want to order online for all of the crafts that I have ideas for. One day when I have my own place I'll definitely come here to purchase decorations for the home but for now I'll just window shop and stick to the crafts! One slight thing is the service here, it's hard to get a signal with my phone when I was looking online for the coupon that hobby lobby offers daily but I walked around to the front of the store and was able to score a deal on the item. The store stocks a massive horde of items for all kinds of crafts and hobbies you may think of. Visiting this store might also give you a start on a new hobby (or hobbies!) The wife also comes here and enjoys buying supplies for home decor projects.  As well as things for her gardening projects.  The kids come here just to accompany me and my wife, but they end up buying a lot more than me and the wife do! It's an enjoyable place to visit.  You get to learn from knowledgeable staff, as well as ideas for decorating the home.  The place is massive and well stocked.  You can be here going around for hours and not notice the time passing by.  This is Disneyland for the hobbyist! read more

It's fine if you're one to walk down and explore every aisle though. Can't say whether their items are priced well, but they do carry beginner kits for anyone wanting to start crocheting or other types of handiwork. Ghaaaaa! Huge!!! Although the Hobby Lobby we have in Roseville has more real estate at 76,248 sq-ft, this location is still a good size at 55,000 sq-ft! It is clean with very spacious aisles. Very nice and well lit store. We came here looking for a gift. We weren't sure if we would find it here but lo-and-behold! There was a section dedicated to... PUZZLES! Hmm, I guess it could be considered as a "hobby". The store offered many unique artwork and we found the perfect design for daughter's friend! Internet connection is not the best inside the store! I was trying to go on their website to pull up a coupon. Sometimes there would be no internet connection at all. The friendly cashier kindly tipped us to step outside to get connection and come back in line to pay so we did just that... saved $8 on our purchase! Parking is plentiful in this area. I've probably been to this Hobby Lobby a good number of times and this time I went in to find a frame for an artwork that I purchased at SacAnime2019. I needed a 12x18 frame but unfortunately could not find one! However James helped me a lot after aimlessly looking around for all the frames available in the store for the perfect fit. He suggested the Shadow Box 16x20 and even though it was not what I was looking for; it turned out to be perfect in the end. A Huge THANK YOU To James! He even helped me clean the glass and frame and wiped everything before fitting it in and gave me tips on what to do and what not to do and I appreciate his meticulous job well done in handling my expensive art. He even wrapped it in plastic and taped it so it wouldn't get damaged if it were to be scratched by anything when I left the store and also it was raining as I left the store so everything worked out! James made my visit very enjoyable and his customer service is outstanding. Thank you again James! I appreciate it! For those of you artsy types you understand the rage that kicks up when you run short on a skein of yarn, need one more bead to complete the pattern, or run out of thread and realize you've already unwound all your bobbins. I ran out of Mod Podge in the middle of a project and needed to get some more before things dried up. I hightailed it to the Hobby Lobby in the Delta Shores shopping Center. Upon arrival I blasted through the tastefully decorated lobby and headed to the back near the wood crafters isle. On said isle I discovered there are three types of Mod Podge namely, satin finish, matte finish, and glossy finish. In my confused state of mind I asked the first clerk I could find who told me the "Matte-Mat-Mate" finish is the original Mod Podge blend. And yes the label has "Matte" written three different ways. I trusted the millennial clerk grabbed the jar of Matte-Mat-Mate MOD PODGE and made a Bee-line to the checkout register at the front of the store. Absolutely uncalled for rude customer service by the young male manager. I don't know if he knows people line up in line to wait their turn. I don't have a problem being the third person in line. I went to buy a single item and I had paid with a 100$ and they did not have change so they went to go get some and took more the 5 minutes to get it. And the cashier was extremely rude the whole time her name was Sayge. And then she did not even give me my right change back. So when I spoke to Roxanne someone in the front she was always very rude. We spend a lot of money at Hobby Lobby and today my mother was disrespected by one of the employees when she tried to return some holiday items. The employee was being very sarcastic towards her and I don't know if it's because of my mom's accent or race but I had to step in to make sure she wasn't being treated that way. I have to say that I am surprised I am leaving a one star review for hobby lobby. It is one of my favorite stores and I frequent it often. I was really excited when this location was opening up, in fact I was counting down the days and showed up on opening day. Sadly the customer service at this location is not even close to other hobby lobby's. Every time I have ever asked someone a question on where something is or if they have something, they not only act as if I asked for their first born child, but can never even tell me where it is. Let's put that aside, and get to the point as of why I'm even writing this review. Hobby lobby and most craft stores always have a coupon you can use for one item. All the time, everyday, nothing changes. In fact the other craft stores in the area will have larger discounted coupons every now and then. Hobby lobby however always has 40%, nothing higher, and nothing changes. And you can get this coupon almost anywhere, on an app or online. Every time I've ever been to a different hobby lobby, and my cell phone happens to die or I left my cell phone in the car, they still give me the discount. NOT THIS LOCATION! Today was the second time I didn't buy something because my cell died while shopping and they wouldn't give me the coupon. I most likely won't be by this location again. read more
