It was the right size and comfortable. The only issue was it was black and doesn't match our decor. It's been tough finding a couch that is the right size, comfortable and matches our decor. We have more brown towns in our living room. Though the bookshelf we have is black and so is the TV and Coffee table. The reclining couch is a light tan color and the chair and ottoman is a chocolate brown color and our floors are chocolate brown. An older style floor, it is fake wood and looks really nice so we aren't ready to part with it. His sister found a gravy boat that she loved. It is nostalgic. It matched the set she had that she lost in the Palisades fire when when she lost her whole house. It's been a challenge for them to rebuild. After all this time they are finally laying the concrete for the foundation. They are going to rebuild even though it's gong to be a huge expense and time consuming. They now live in a two bedroom apartment. They haven't lived in an apartment since before their son was born and he is 17 years old now so the adjustment has been brutal. She continues to look at second hand stores and antiques stores in hopes of finding those items she lost in the fire. I love looking around but, have yet to find a treasure I couldn't live with out. We will be back on our hunt for that loveseat that we desperately need. Now we h ave enough seating for 4, but it's awkward. At best it really sits 3. A couch that really seats 2 and a Ikea chair. We really need the space for anther seat so we can have a couple over.

I got a bit overwhelmed at one point and just tried to find my way back to the front of the store since this place is also 2 stories! Beautiful glass displays, teacups, mirrors, artwork, furniture - you name it! Some items were marked pretty high in price, but I did find some decently priced items as well. Staff were nothing special - not friendly or welcoming. I don't even think any of them said hello or asked if they could assist. Just a bunch of old men chatting away. Not sure if I would be back to The Antique Company, but it's worth checking out!

Exceptional Craftsmanship from Mike Ambrose!…read more I stumbled across Mike's website some time ago and really liked his style. I was in need of an office desk and wanted something special, so I decided to give him a call. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. From the get-go, I could tell Mike was a talented, friendly, and genuine guy. I visited his studio, where he helped me select a gorgeous pair of bookmatched walnut slabs with incredible grain, figure, and character. The finished desk is absolutely stunning. The attention to detail, joinery, and finish are all top-notch. I've spent hundreds of hours woodworking myself, so I have a pretty good appreciation for what goes into making a piece like this. His work is the real deal. It's rare to find someone with this combination of technical skill, artistic eye, and genuine passion for what they do. Beyond the craftsmanship, his pricing was incredibly fair, communication was easy, and he delivered exactly when promised. He's also just a great guy to work with. I couldn't recommend Mike more highly. If you're looking for a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece of furniture made by someone who truly cares about his craft, look no further. I'll treasure this desk for decades, and wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.
