The finish looks just like the sample we saw in the shop. The wood is solid, not like all the particle board garbage you find in the big box stores. After researching options we came across this place online that boasts 30+ years of service and the ability for you to custom order your furniture either unfinished of finished. I wanted a larger dresser which both me and my spouse could use. Jim, the owner was very helpful walking us through the store to show us different options and catlogues of choices based on our taste. We opted for an unfinished pine option around 62" long and 5 drawers high with a colonial trim and antique handles, which ended up around $800. I had also noticed a very cute one of a kind coffee table when we had entered the store (they have some finished and refurbished pieces available for immediate sale) which I had been debating and Jim said since we had made a big purchase he would knock $100 off, great deal! He had refinished an old piece of wood with a buddy and used the bed rails from an old twin bed to construct it, very cool. Meaning that if you're the avid collector of quirky one-of-a-kind treasures, this would be the ideal spot for you to check out. I will say that this location is in a very industrial area of Rancho Cordova as they are directly on Mercantile Dr and tucked in between Trade Center Dr and Folsom Blvd. Parking is as simple as you can imagine since this is a very desolate area surrounded by unmarked warehouses in all directions. I also wanted to say that they do have limited hours only being open Thursday-Sunday from 10am-6pm while being closed Monday-Wednesday. I came here during the afternoon on Saturday 3/7/2026 at around 3:00pm. There were only a few cars parked in front which gave me the impression the majority of those were employees vehicles. Upon entry, I was greeted by a gentleman at the main entrance. I will say that this place is quite huge with aisles and aisles of products that include kitchenware, jewelry, home decor, crafts, books, clothing, crafts, toys, handmade items, furniture, collectibles, dolls, and much more. Just about everything for sale is new and/or near-new with many items that are decades old while being distributed through the vendors. I will say that the prices are definitely on the higher end of the spectrum but as I mentioned, everything is unique and distinctive. Since I already stated the positives, I will tell you some of the negatives. During my visit which was from 3:00-3:45pm, I was literally followed by several employees. I get that they want to completely minimize shoplifters but I could see the staff giving me the stare down in the corner of my eye. This completely tarnished the overall image of my shopping experience as I am someone that doesn't like to be watched when taking my time to shop. Needless to say that I didn't buy anything but just in case you want to visit this business, that was my firsthand experience of what to expect. Finally, if the Rancho Cordova location is too out of the way, Bliss Marketplace also has locations in Midtown Sacramento (27th/R St's) as well as Roseville Square (Douglas/Harding Blvd) with the same hours of operation. They also follow the season/time of year as my visit (which was in early-March) had a lot of Easter and springtime decor. I am sure it gets very festive during the fall and Christmas season. With a nice variety of goods combined with a convenient quiet location but just okay service, I am giving the Rancho Cordova "Bliss Marketplace" an above average four star rating.

We also had him build a cement beverage center surround to house our outdoor refrigerator and ice maker. He delivered exactly what we wanted and it's spectacular. We also needed some outdoor wooden bar stools. He had in his showroom some beautiful wooden bar stools with seats that swivel, exactly what we needed. First, there was an impression made they had a warehouse or backroom with stock on-hand. Then it turned into they needed to get what we ordered from the manufacturer. Salesman took us upstairs to show us what they had in stock markdowns, which were old and garbage. We were told 2-3 weeks to receive our order. "Closer to 2 weeks! We like to surprise and outperform our expectations. 3 weeks is absolutely worst case scenario!" Well, after 4 + weeks of taking thousands $$ from us and getting absolutely NOTHING in return , we cancelled our order. The office ladies kept saying it was going to be another additional 1-2 weeks to get our items (maybe) from the vendor.!! Bought 8/6/26 and 9/6/26 nothing *maybe* more ??? They locked me into a delivery date beforehand which if i missed for any reason i would have to pay full delivery fees. I was ready to go, even took time off, but surprise our stuff never got to naturwood for them to deliver. Office ladies were unhelpful every step of the way. At one point I was told "others got their shipments on the delivery truck but oops they looked and our order just didn't make it on the truck!" Agreed upon a full refund, which took some time but finally they just laid down didn't even try anymore or cared. I had to drive down due to an office issue with my card.. While driving down there, the same lady in office left me a voicemail saying "are you coming? I need to go home and I'm the only person here who can refund it so i don't know what to tell you????!! Hurry up" I was 5 minutes away and witnessed a car accident when she called trying to leave early knowing i was on the way. I showed up and she was there, busy, didn't appear she was leaving at all. Maybe a tactic who knows. Had to wait 3-5 business days, i got my refund in full....ordered off amazon and GOT IT THE NEXT DAY. Unfortunately, that professionalism completely disappeared when I needed help after the sale. When my furniture was delivered, the box springs were missing. I called Tom expecting customer service and a willingness to resolve the issue. Instead, the call quickly became frustrating. Tom repeatedly interrupted me, spoke over me, and became increasingly aggressive throughout the conversation. At one point, I had to ask him to pause and actually listen to understand what I was saying instead of talking over me. I explained that I purchased three bedroom sets because Michael specifically told us the box springs were included and that we only needed to purchase mattresses. I even told Tom that if they reviewed the showroom camera footage, they would see Michael lifting the mattress in the showroom to show us the box spring while explaining what was included. Rather than looking into the issue, Tom insisted there were never any box springs included with two of the bedroom sets. He then said, "I've already helped enough, and I stand by whatever Michael did." As a customer, that response was incredibly disappointing. My purchase was made based on information provided by their salesperson, and instead of taking ownership or investigating what happened, I was met with defensiveness and hostility. When I asked to speak with someone above him because of how the situation was being handled, Tom claimed that he was the CEO of American Furniture and told me that if I didn't want the furniture, I could simply return it. I told him I was perfectly willing to return everything and take my hard-earned money and business elsewhere. Only then did the "CEO" suddenly decide he would contact his manager. I'm updating my review to say: don't just avoid Michael B.--avoid this entire store. Their public response claimed they would speak with everyone involved, yet my family was involved in this purchase and not once has anyone reached out to follow up. Mistakes can happen, but poor customer service, refusing to listen, interrupting customers, becoming aggressive, and avoiding accountability are choices. Unfortunately, that's exactly what we experienced.
