Every time I come to this location the staff is always pushing me through (and everyone else) the self checkout. It's understandable if it's busy and there is 1 person there helping people at self checkout as well as directing.... But for heavens sake, you don't need 2-3 employees standing there telling me to use self checkout. They should 1st offer to ring me up. That's bad business. They do this every time, even when I request to not use the self checkout, they still treat me like I'm crazy. It's not crazy to want someone who help me buy items and place them in a bag. Why should I do the job they are getting paid to do? Why am I not getting paid to check out my own items? Today was the last straw, when the cashier told me she would help me, and ring me out, all I have to do is ask. I proceeded to let her know that, yes, I would prefer to have someone ring me out for my items today. She then grabbed my items scanned them in on the self check out and then walked away. She did not ask me if I wanted a bag, how my day was going, she didn't in any way treat me like a human being. Here's what's even more crazy... If she really believes in some sort of policy that stands at target, you think that she would take a moment to explain why she's putting me through self check out instead of doing what I'm clearly asking for which is just ring me up like a normal grocery store. This is extremely disappointing from a customer service standpoint, especially when target is known for their better customer service in general. I think this person working on your team needs a serious reality check on what her job definition actually is. To be honest, after seeing her attitude... I wouldn't be surprised if she's directing people to the machines because her managers think that she's had terrible skills when interacting with other human beings. Too bad her name isn't on the receipt because she used the self check out... hmmm... that's why she uses a self check out and directs everyone to it because it can't be tracked to her user sign in for her employee number. That would make sense... a lot of retail store environments track NPS scores and feedback from customers directly to the employee who rings them up... But if that employee always uses the self check out then there's no way to keep track of this person's performance and have any kind of accountability for their actions. read more

Very friendly, welcoming store employees and same nice customers as well! I forgot $20 cash back in a self checkout, returned half an hour later, and a customer service manager told me another customer had returned it to the store:)) So I received it back, and I will be coming back to this nice, compact, convenient store in which everyone greets you and you can fast and easily locate and buy whatever you need without the hassle of wandering through huge aisles and parking of regular Targets or area supermarkets!!!The food section immediately right of entrance is quite extensive though and is supplied by good, fresh, well-priced food items as well. read more

Devon and Faby where not a help at all. When asked if someone can help at the register. The pointed to a self check out stand. That's a lot of help. When your hands are full of item you have holding. Faby helped by scanning my stuff in my hands just scanned not helped by taking them from me and scanning them. If a manager reads this post it was @ 6:00 3/9/20. Calling all Burbankers! Run, don't walk, to check out the new mini-Target on Hollywood Way. You may end up saying goodbye to the big Target across town. I'm not sure how they did it, but somehow this small store has most everything you want, including a food market, pharmacy, electronics, clothing, and more. The parking everyone was so worried about was plentiful -- loads of spaces right in front of the store. Super friendly staff all over the place and an industrial feel to get you in the Bladerunner mood for whatever lies ahead. Easy in and easy out. Beware you will be profiled. My first time at this Target. I was looking through the clothing and jewelry area and found a neckless that caught my attention. I held the neckless to my neck and tried it on to see if it fits before purchasing. Within 3 mins or less, I noticed an employee rushed to where I was with her folding chart. She attempted to look at the bathing suites as if she was going to fold them. I made eye contact with her and voiced, "REALLY". The one star is for Jack who works at this store. Every other staff member I've experienced here has been glorious. You get 5 stars. Polite, and I appreciate your service as a regular. Jack. Well, not so much. Jack thinks he's special by stretching what he feels is a compliant face covering. Even a few other staff members shared with me, they feel the same way about his bandanna. As a COVID Compliance Officer, part of a team running crews in the entertainment industry, we wouldn't allow Jack onto our sets not even to deliver individually wrapped donuts. How so many miss those. We wonder why numbers aren't going down while so many people are doing the good work to keep people safe. Sure, Jack doesn't have COVID right? Tic-Tac-sized Target! For what it is, a neighborhood target, not a destination, it's perfect. You won't find bulk sized items, but you'll find a bigger assortment of essentials than you'd expect from your drive up impression. I was actually surprised by the amount of household items that they carried. Self checkout only, with a customer service desk. Parking lot is bigger than it looks. The traffics light does NOT help you turn in, as it's mainly for pedestrians and the exit is only one way (right), but if traffic is light, you should be ok busting a quick left! read more

If you do a return at this Target they will not give you a full refund but will only go by the price on the shelf not what you actually paid for it. Target, no matter the location, lost a customer in me. It's a set up. Their machine prints out a damaged receipt you can barely read the numbers as a result they stick you with a return with their gift card and don't give you all the money back. read more

My boyfriend and I went to this Target to search for Funko Pops. Wr didn't realize this was an Express Target until we entered. They had smaller selections of the normal sections that other Targets had, such as about two rows of toys in comparison to about 8 or so in a normal Target. Their main focus for their Market section where they had a bunch of fresh produce and a lot of refrigerated and frozen items to pick from. We ended up not finding what we wanted since it was a smaller Target, so I might not come back anytime soon since their is a bigger Target at Burbank Empire a couple of minutes away. read more

I was trying to do a little bit of shopping while visiting family in town and ended up spending 30 MINUTES waiting to go to the bathroom. Not only was I in line with other customers but also employees which makes me think they aren't able to efficiently work and keep the store stocked/keep the cash registers going (which also explains why it took so long for us to be able to check out.) read more

This location is ridiculous, and it's clearly a staff training issue, as they used to be fine, but have devolved to a point of almost hilarity, and on my past few visits I've seen staff ignore requests, lie to customers and generally refuse to be helpful. Not a lot of options... there were 2 clerks chatting at the register and not paying attention...when they noticed me they aggressively tried to push me to the self check out stations, but I was with my kid and late for a birthday party, so I said "can we just do a regular check out?" The workers here don't know where things are! Given this is the smallest Target in all of Los Angeles, I asked her where would the feminine care products would be ? She said "if we have any, it would be down there by the undergarments" mind you, I've already paced down that aisle and I did not see any feminine care products, so I walked over to her again and asked "would exactly do you think they are?" She points "down there to the left" so I go back and I'm annoyed because I know it's not there. I wish I would've asked her to walk me there so she can learn that it's not there, and I purposely asked a girl worker thinking she will know. So then I found another worker, it was a guy and he said it's by the pharmacy on the opposite end. I'm like wtf? The other girl needs to really learn about Target and their sections. I wish I caught her name so I can mention it here. Target needs to update their app to show a map layout of their store so I won't have to bother the workers. I live nearby and decided to stop by on 4/15 at 10:00 AM. There was only a few customers. I had a mask and gloves on. There was no one in line to pay. I saw a young Latina clerk standing by the register looking at her cell phone. Naturally, I approached her to pay; keeping the 6 feet distance. She refused and told me to self check-out. I could not believe this! I simply left the item on the counter and left. Message to Management: Monitor your employees. I do not see the point of having an employee standing by the register who has no intention to do her job and is more interested in checking her texts. I will never return to this store! read more

This comment is more so for the CVS Pharmacy Inside this Target. However this target is my favorite for quick errands as well always clean and non crowded. At the pharmacy, the young Asian man (I was feeling to ill to remember his name apologies) that helping me was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Also called ASAP when it was ready and was on top of giving me informational advice on my prescription. I typically hate talking to people and going to the pharmacy when I don't feel well but he made my experience smooth. read more

Although I feel annoyed that Burbank (who has a full sized Target) gets this, but Sunland-Tujunga which has no Target and we have to drive either to Pacoima (ew!) or to the new one in La Canada is annoying. Can someone open this in Sunland-Tujunga?! Lots of useless real estate here to bring one to! It's amazing what they've packed into this place. Groceries, cosmetics, pharmacy, bedding, linens, office supplies, home decor, clothes, pet supplies, even toys! Very impressive. Although they don't have everything the big ones have (just Jiff peanut butter and the Target brand and not Skippy or Peter Pan) they've got an online pickup counter so you can order it and pick it up on your next run! Also, you Do self check out for purchasing your goods. I'm sure that cuts down on staff significantly! Seriously! We really need one of these in our area. The reason I am giving this 5 stars is because...for a small Target (that was their intention)...I loved it...Not only was I able to find parking, but also, it has everything I needed there. This store is not meant to be like the other Targets...I think this one is made for people who are on their way home from work and needed to pick up something quick. It is one story and it is just perfect. The workers were very helpful too (On the phone and in person)...I have to add phone...because I was looking for a specific sun tan lotion...and they went to check for me, and when they came back, and told me how many there were left and asked if I want them to hold it for me. They were very kind. Because this is the smaller store, they may not have specific brands that you are looking for, I suggest calling first. I just have to say it again...I just love it. It is just like one straight line almost. So easy to find things...no going back and forth. read more

This space is so clearly smaller than a normal Target that I'm not sure what some of the reviews here were expecting. You're not gonna get a full-sized Target experience here. It's a local neighborhood Target with some greatest hits type products for quick shopping. It's easy to walk to as well being in Magnolia Park. If you have to drive, the parking lot is about as big as the nearby Rite Aid and I've never not found a parking spot. I find it pretty damn convenient if you're not looking for a fuckin' couch. read more

The first time I went to this Target, I was expecting it to contain a lot more items; however, it does not. This is almost like a mini Target that may not have all the necessities an individual would want. It's good for getting a snack or maybe getting something from the arts and craft isle, but I would suggest going to a larger Target for grocery shopping, etc. However, this place does have a cute traveling section which is great for trips-- prices are convenient! Hello Target Express! Welcome to Magnolia Park in Burbank, CA. I am so glad you are here! I stopped by on Sunday, April 8th (opening weekend). So many wonderful things to say about this store. * Great use of space. * They fit a wonderful selection in this somewhat small-ish store - grocery (produce / fridge, frozen, shelf-stable), pharmacy, beauty (hair, make up, toiletries), bedding, electronics, clothing (for all), baby items, pet food / supplies, storage, light bulbs, more that I can't remember... * VERY friendly and helpful employees. * Self check out kiosks. * Clean, well organized. * Well stocked. For those concerned about the parking - there were NOT any issues when I was there (around 2 p.m. on Sunday) - AND - keep it mind, it's a smaller store - therefore, people (on average) only spend 15-20 minutes in the store (due to the petite size and simply layout)... It's a quick-run-in--and-grab-something spot. Not the usual hang-out-let's-walk-down-every-aisle-and-buy-a-new-wardrobe place! ;) I overheard one of the employees say "Honey, I Shrunk The Target..." which is a great description. I co-chair a charity called Operation Santa serving families in need. This year due to COVID, instead of wrapped gifts we gave all family members $50 gift cards from Target. I was there the evening of 12/16 buying almost $2000 worth of cards and the staff was extremely patient and helpful during the process. Of-course my bank was suspicious, and I had to be on the phone at length with them to verify the transactions, but they had the best attitude and were so great to me. How cool is this? A mini Target in Magnolia Park. It's like having a neighborhood store - but it's Target. Even though only 17% the size of the Target at Empire Center, they still manage to have a decent amount of everything you need, especially if you live in the neighborhood and you want something quick - groceries, home goods, paper goods, clothing, toy, and office supplies. They even have some TVs (albeit the smaller variety). Paying is mainly self-check - which I like better anyway. Parking might be a prob later, but today, at 8:15 am, most of the 20 or so spots were wide open. It's perfect for those I-forgot-something-and-I'm-almost-at-work days. read more

I'm giving it four stars because it's a really unique Target, being a "city Target." I found it to be pretty different from most Targets, but I liked it because it was smaller, had all the essentials, and had the same quality that I expect from Target. Nice design too. It was cool to walk through a smaller area and get the same stuff. There is not much parking, but the idea is to get in and out quickly, which I did! I'll go back! read more

This target has a little bit of everything a big Target has ( clothing, home decor, sports equipment, beauty products, everything) - the only thing they don't have is the electronics area (that includes gaming, music, and books).
