This is the worst target I have ever been to in my life. Every time I go here there is an issue. They don't accept wic payment yet they have wic items and the reason they gave me is because they are a small target. Also you can only return items up to $75. Apparently small targets are not the same as the big ones and have special rules. So don't waste your time go to a normal target. read more

I went to the new Target store in Burbank. Nice use of the narrow space, separate food mart and CVS Pharmacy. I only needed dental floss, but I picked up a couple things and when I went to check out there were no cashiers, just three unattended cash registers and a line of self checkout stands. I asked if there was a cashier. The attendant offered to help me check out, thinking I was some old coot who couldn't handle all this newfangled machinery. I said "No, thanks, I think self-checkout is a bad idea" and I set down my stuff and left. Target makes millions of dollars every hour. If Target won't pay cashiers, screw them, I'll go elsewhere. I was wanting to inquire about a product being in stock, which it said on line that it was but that is not always the case. Terrible customer service. Used to love this target but there was a pharmacist in their pharmacy section who was talking shit about people of color and how north Hollywood was full of these "poor population" and how they always have multiple kids trailing behind them. Personally I think it's unprofessional how she was loudly speaking about her personal beliefs while on the job. Even an older couple was talking about how they didn't feel comfortable and they mentioned they were going somewhere instead. Another woman was there too telling the pharmacist that she shouldn't be expressing her views like that. Which I agree. An area such as north Hollywood, which is predominantly Latino and an area of lower socioeconomic status, is not the place where she should be working if she dislikes it so much. I'm disgusted. I felt so bad for this elder couple, I tried convincing them to just order their stuff but they were already feeling judged. Target needs to do something about this woman. At least let her know that she needs to works with diverse people or all statues and race. read more

I love how clean the store is especially during the pandemic. Every time I visit this target I notice the employees are very attentive about disinfecting the carts and shared surfaces at check out. I won't go to other targets in the area because they're not as clean despite having more products. Parking has never been an issue for me but the lot does have a limited amount of spaces. read more

I rushed to this location after getting off work to buy one item and when I tried to turn into the lot at 9:46pm, an employee had just put out cones to block cars from entering. I understand that it can be frustrating to help late night customers but google maps shows this locations hours to be open until 10pm. If you close at 10pm the assumption is that you allow guests in until that time and then announce a final call for purchases. The hours should be adjusted to 9:45 if that's when new customers are blocked from coming in. I hope management can train their closers on this. read more

This is a Target Express and it's a wonderful addition to Magnolia Park. I decided to give this smaller Target store a whirl on an early Sunday morning. There were many free parking spaces, no traffic, and the store was almost empty. This is my favorite time to shop. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at how much merchandise they managed to stuff in this small a space. The store is well-lit, clean and the employees were welcoming, kind and knowledgeable. While this Target Express doesn't have the selection its larger Empire store has, it's exactly the kind of convenient, demi-store Magnolia Park needs. It's all about choices and variety. Being that I live close by, I was really intrigued to try this Target out. I was expecting it to be small but...man it's really tiny! I agree that it should be called Target Express (or something similar) so people aren't disappointed. It almost feels like a fake Target kinda like those out of country fake In-n-Outs that pop up every now and then. That familiar Target feeling just isn't there. I did a store pickup for an item off the website and it was great for that. But I don't see myself ever really "browsing" here. But it is nice to have as a neighborhood option though that I can walk or ride my bike to. Also, I definitely missed having clearance sections. Things seemed pricier than usual? I can see parking being an issue but I was able to find a space easily on a weeknight. The Empire and North Hollywood locations will still be my preference but this may be a nice (quieter) backup. read more

This was my first time to this new location. Don't walk into the store with the expectation of finding every random miscellaneous item you find in your average target. I went in for a few simple basics and they had everything I needed. I liked the arrangement of the store so I dont go trekking through the entire store to buy bandaids ( they are by the pharmacy), cream cheese (in the grocery room), and a card (an aisle by checkout). When I first saw the target was opening there I was concerned about the parking situation, and granted I went in the middle of the day on a Monday but I was quickly able to find parking. The staff there was warm and inviting. I'm excited to be so close to this addition to the neighborhood! read more

Besides the fact that this Target doesn't really have much, the employees follow you around like you're trying to rob them. Reality check: you guys don't have anything to steal in the first place! Seriously though... felt like some weird profiling going on. And I overheard the security guard talking about following another customer over his walkie on my way out. To be honest, I go to Target for a variety of products that land between grocery, clothing, and electronics. This format doesn't scratch that itch. This Target is SMALL. If you would find it in small grocery store, you will likely find it here along with some electronics, clothing, and makeup. This resembles the Neighborhood WalMart idea of a scaled down store but it doesn't try to be a grocery store competitor to that degree. If you expect to do a major one-stop shopping trip, you will be disappointed. Go to the bigger store in Burbank for those major trips / mommy getaways. As disappointed as I am, I can't in good conscience downgrade my rating because aside from the experimental format, there really is nothing wrong. It's tidy, service is fine, etc. P.S. Looking at what is sold here, I would almost say it is geared for the temporary/part-time resident crowd. read more

I love the convenience of this "Target Jr." store and pop in and out for essentials. Staff are very courteous and kind. I am temporarily disabled, and although the store is basically self-checkout, an employee came up immediately to help me bag and organize my items to make it easier to carry. This Target is great to get in and get out. BUT THE CVS PHARMACY inside this Target is EXCELLENT! Very efficient and friendly. Everyone at this pharmacy works to make sure your medications are suspended properly, they stay on top of refills. I cannot day enough! Once again CVS Pharmacy has proven to be thieves in the middle of helping the drug companies ripping of the average or below average American consumer needing medical supplies. Please tell them why they charge $60 for medication that costs $8 at Costco and now they charged me $90 for medication that is also $8-12 at Costco and always under $20 at Walgreens.. Even their water and food supplies are often 50% higher than the other chains. It's funny how they bury you with in helpful "discount" 8ft long receipts that include generally unusable or still make their product over priced. The staff in the pharmacy is excellent, they are what keeps me coming back. There is rarely a line and they are very helpful.The people at the service desk are the reason why I did not leave 5 stars. They are quite rude.they made me feel like a criminal for giving them manufacturers coupons. They told me I could only use 3 coupons even though I purchased 11 items. On the other hand the parking is great. I always manage to find a parking space quickly and easily. So I will probably continue to come back in spite of the few rude people that work here read more

I stopped in on 3/30 and wasn't sure what to expect. I found all the things that I was looking for and yet I ended up having to come back in a few days later. I didn't have an option but to use their self check out registers. I didn't care too much for that part and for good reason. I purchased razor blade refills. I ended up getting charged twice. You'd think that it would be my bad because I was the one doing the checking out. In fact, it wasn't my fault at all. There is a little extra security device on the box and so it had to be removed. I think the blades were scanned and then taken by the store associate to remove it and then brought back to our register and scanned again instead of just having been put into our bag. Anyway, I had to go back to the store, explain the situation and then get them to review the cameras and then refund me. Ugh. I wasn't planning on making the extra trip there but at least it was easily resolved. I didn't mind the limited amount of stuff there. They had the basics and that was really all I was there for. I didn't get past the baby food section on one side of the store but I did have a chance to check out the area where more of the grocery items were. I can't say that there was anything for me to be excited about but at the same time, I hadn't been looking for anything that they didn't carry. So, for me, it was a successful shopping trip. I can't complain. Although I do feel like the parking lot was a bit more full than I felt it should have been but getting in and out was easy enough. I like that there is one way in and one way out. That makes things flow a bit more smoothly. But, again, there wasn't anything that I was looking for that they didn't have. I think if you just need to make a quick in and out trip, this is a good alternative to the store at the Empire Center. read more

Yes this Target is gorgeous and new, but I would like to give a shout out to the lovely people in the cvs pharmacy there. I recently moved out of that area and wasn't able to make it down there to pick up a prescription that was mistakenly out on auto renew. I used the app to have it delivered to my new address and there was an error involved so I called the pharmacy and particularly one woman helped me through the process and called me back with new info as she received it from corporate. She even called me on delivery day to make sure the medication arrived and called the post office to make sure someone would arrive and pick up my medication on time. She even wrote a kind note in the package apologizing for the mix up and late delivery. Not everyone will go out of thier way and deliver great customer service like that. I really appreciate her and would definitley be picking up my rx from this place if I was still in the area! Thank you again! read more

I love this place. I end up going here for last minute grocery runs instead of going to the grocery store. I am here at least 2 times a week. They have just enough of every type of item you need. I was worried it would be packed and no parking before it opened, but it is the opposite. Plenty of parking. Got my flu shot there, too. Love it! read more

Note that this is an express Target and has a crappy return policy. I wasted my time going here hoping to save time, I had some returns to make and surprising the parking was great, but they only will return up to $75! So now I have to go to the regular Target. So annoying...there is no signs on this Target that states that it is an express! So annoying!! read more

This is a small target, with that said...I was expecting the place to be ULTRA CLEAN post Covid. The bathrooms were incredibly dirty. They should be cleaned every hour. The trash can at the entrance was full, to capacity. I love this target so much I mean it's great and it's not out of the way at all...also depending on where you live it is walking distance! Even for the size of the store they still offer a pharmacy for medical needs. I thought, they cant possibly have everything this is a tiny building but no, they have EVERYTHING. The only thing I dislike about it is that the prices are higher. For example, I saw the shampoo I use in the same size marked for around $3 but I remember when I picked up the same size and same brand shampoo from the target at empire center, it was around $1.50. Went to return an item, waited for two returns before me to get to cashier. At that point I was told they can't return an item over $75 inless purchased there. A sign or having the person standing there say something would have saved my time and frustration. I understand there is a rule but if you don't know about it ahead of time it doesn't do any good. Woah! It's like target meets local grocery store. When I first pulled up I noticed parking was super limited and small. I was curious as to how this is possible and even more how did I find a spot? Well, this isn't a Super Target, meaning they focus on grocery, pharmacy and some small extra stuff like kitchen accessories and other home goods. They don't have patio furniture or TV's and you don't have to walk for miles to get a gallon of milk. It's a small location but very cool, trendy and the people are nice.
