My family and walked into this store while we were boating this mall for the first time. It is a large, very clean, fun, well organized and shiny store. They have so many cool little gadgets and knickknacks on display. Most items, you will use immediately while a few others items we purchased had me wondering why we purchased them in the first place. This store has the cutest Sanrio items. If you are a Hello Kitty fan, this store has the cutest stuff. My only complaint is customer service, employees in this store are kind of mean and rude. I have been to the store several times and every time staff weren't friendly. For the value, I can say prices are really compatible with the other stores that sell Sanrio products. Always fun checking out this place especially nowadays since they're keeping up with what's in! They didn't have much before, basically like a Daiso without many cute collectibles. They now carry a bunch of different blind boxes which are mine and my bf's weakness lol! They have an entire section of Harry Potter merch and now also in the far back, have a great section of pokemon figures! Great addition to this mall and checking out is a quick and easy process. Pricing is really good here too, not overly priced whatsoever. Some of the cashiers seemed like they just wanted to get the transaction done and over with, felt robotic but other than that, it was fine without any issues. I stopped by this Miniso store inside Westfield Sherman Oaks mall while my wife was shopping at other stores. This is a pretty spacious store and they have a lot of deals going on for Cyber Monday. I saw like little figures and also many different marshmallows inside the store. They have some Harry Potter stuff inside the store as well along with other toys. I think you might find some treats inside here as well so if you're looking for like Asian things then you might find it in here. I bought a phone case for my daughter less than a week a go and it was ripping and they wouldn't exchange the phone case because we didn't have the recite, but they didn't email the recite. Kawaii, that's the word that describes the feeling of this adorable store. It's oozing with cute plushies, Asian snacks, kitchen gadgets, car accessories, everything you could could think of, & more. I did notice that they do not carry my favorite kind of Re-ment brand miniatures, though. Those are usually at Tokyo Life Style stores. Everything is also very pricey, as sweet as all the items are. I didn't want to spend almost 30 dollars for a single item. The customer service was alright but nothing to snooze at. I imagine the employees are very stressed dealing with the long lines and constantly reorganizing the merchandise. Overall, I have a soft spot for all things Kuromi and Sanrio, so I always stop to look around, but I rarely buy anything. read more

I really love Miniso! One thing I have to remember is that it is not the same price point as Daiso so expect to pay retail price. It is priced reasonably so this is where I come to shop for gifts. It's smaller and more curated than a Marukai store and a couple of degrees above Five and Below. Many of the products are Japanese-influenced and it ranges from cosmetics, collector toys, stationary, home goods and snacks. In recent years, the stores have been heavily leaning towards licensed products such as Sanrio and Disney which is why you tend to see it in the front while the other generic items are in the back. The Sanrio and Disney license as well as their stationary and cosmetics are the main reasons why I come here. If you have been to the Miniso in New York, this location is nothing like it. It is smaller and more generic. But overall, it's a 3.5 to 4 star for me for inexpensive kawaii gifts. read more

This is like a Daiso with stuff you might actually need plus stuffed animals. They seem to have their own line of very cute plush characters. I got an adorable bath rug and Hello Kitty Creme hand lotion. This brand really keeps my often washed hands hydrated. Their Sanrio items aren't cheap but the store's fun to browse. They have houseware, skincare, Asian snacks, Disney-themed products, even jewelry (though none caught my eye). I bought a lot of Christmas stocking stuffers at another location. Min-so supervisor or owner. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the conduct of one of your store managers, Zina, during my recent visit to your Sherman Oaks store . During our visit, my children, who are very well-behaved, were playing, trying or touching a plush toy, when Zina store manager approached them and rudely instructed them not to touch anything. I was not right next to my kids but was watching them from a short distance. I found her tone and approach completely inappropriate, especially when addressing young children who were doing nothing wrong. When I approached her to suggest that she be more polite in the future, Zina shockingly told me, "You better watch your kids and get out of this store." This response was not only rude but also highly unprofessional. To make matters worse, as my family and I were leaving, I noticed Zina laughing with two other employees, which I found disrespectful and offensive. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect well on your brand. I strongly urge you to address this issue with Zina, as no customer should have to experience such rudeness, especially in front of their children(my son has a sensory issue, he loves to play with plushies , but he is well behaved he know what he can't damaged them ) . I expect that appropriate action will be taken to ensure that this does not happen to another family in the future. Used to go here all the time, but now it's ehhh.... There were two male employees working; the one at the register was already moody. He muttered " welcome" to me and gave me a weird look lol... They both just had attitudes. The other male employee came from the back and went to the register and just started talking to the other male employee. Once I was ready to pay, I just formed a line since one of them was unboxing items behind the registers and the other one was just staring at papers on the register. Had the pleasure of stopping in before my last trip out of state a few weeks ago and was able to find some fun unique travel accessories to update toiletries that are/were TSA friendly... Miniso is a fun store with not just a ton of travel accessories, but everyday ones as well including electronics, plush toys, home and bath decor as well as goods and fun snacks not to mention sips from around the world. They seem to carry a lot of character and novelty version of tradition things even umbrella and tumblers yet also offer simple sleek no print items of the same variety as well. I've been here less than a handful of times, but notice they update and rotate new items in on occasion to keep things fresh. I scored a Captain Marvel toiletry set and some dental hygiene products as well. Hope to come back when the mall is open and things are semi back to a regular pace of life. Located on the 2nd floor heading in the direction of Macy's on the North East side... I dont believe their online presence is set up for ordering and deliver, but they have stores in almost every continent around the world. read more

I have heard of Miniso on Yelp being in the SGV and was curious to check it out because it sounds so much like Daiso. To my surprise, I was in the mall anyway and happened upon this location, much to my delight! It is a lot like Daiso but the prices aren't fixed but rather, under $30, although most items are still under $10. Items such as cell phone accessories and power banks are the more expensive items, but to my shock, I found that Miniso carries MOOMIN items, which are so hard to find in the United States, since the British websites don't ship overseas. I definitely got myself a tote bag, and may go back for a turquoise power bank! The items are all sorts of CUTE from a limited supply of paper items and stickers, to plushies, water bottles and cute faces on household items in that sweet, Asian style. I also got Moomin cotton pads and some pink panther items since I'm such a huge fan of the pink kitty!! There are makeup items, household items, underwear (cheap so not soft enough) and some food items like calpico, but Daiso definitely has a larger selection of those. I would definitely check this shop out if you can't get as far as KTown or the SGV - the staff is helpful and the store is organized to a tee. Everything is just so cheap and pretty, makes you want to buy everything. I especially love the bags, they look really cute while really cheap. I also love how low key it is, it's random, in the middle of this mall and it seems like a secret because it's not widely known. I kinda like that because it's a nice alternative to Daiso! I've seen the signs that Miniso was coming so I was thrilled that it actually opened. Often times you see the "Coming Soon" signs but get disappointed when the store never materializes! Well, I was hooked from the moment I walked in-so much to see, so "affordable " and I thought, "This store could be my demise!" At first I thought it was associated with Uniqlo since their logos are quite similar but after a little research, it turns out it was founded by a Japanese designer and a Chinese entrepreneur! Well, no wonder everything is cheap but so cute. They had such a variety of what they call "lifestyle " goods ranging from stationery items, bath items, computer keyboards, purses/bags, eating utensils, some clothing like socks & leggings plus super soft and cuddly character pillows! This is the second time in a row I've had a bad experience with the same employees. Super rude employees. The first time I had a return and tried to use the store credit. The girl was brunette with highlights. She couldn't do the return so I had to awkwardly wait for her to get the male employee. As I waited for the guy at the register she kept saying you can pay now you can pay now in the rudest tone but I wanted to wait for the return to process first. Not friendly at all made it so much worse. The same girl I came the next time was just talking to her coworker with no one at the register. She acted like she didn't see me in line. I waited a good while and finally was fed up so I showed her the items I was trying to buy so I could checkout already and she looked so annoyed. I don't understand why two employees were chatting it up on one area while they left the register unattended for a good while. There was also plenty of employees stocking so they definitely weren't understaffed just bad service. I wouldn't be writing this if it wasn't an ongoing issue with these same girl and same employees. Sleepy Sherman Oaks Mall? Yes, you heard right. Miniso has dropped in, and you are going to have a lot of fun, perusing those aisles for quirky, kitschy stuff with a utilitarian bent. My 14 yr old son used his birthday money to purchase some items from the store in Sherman Oaks at Westfield Mall- 5 days ago. For reasons outside of his control- he had to return them the next day. The items are brand new with the tags. And he was told that because he did not have his receipt that he could not return them. He showed the store clerk his Apple Card that had the actual purchase there so that she could see it. They still refused. I understand that this is the store policy. But it is a terrible one. These items can be resold at no loss to the company. Ross has this same terrible policy. However, you can go to Costco buy a salad, eat half and return it for a full refund. Go figure. In any event, I would not give this business any money. And I suggest that you do not either. read more

Why have I never seen this store before?! And what was I doing in an actual physical mall?! And why do the Japanese do things so much cuter?! And why is everything so cheap?! Just randomly discovered this store because, yes, I was in a physical mall because I needed something on the spot, and it's one of those places that you pass by in the mall and glance inside and then continue walking because you don't need anything, but then your mind starts racing that you might be missing out on something, and of course you slowly backtrack because it just looks too damn interesting. I'm not a window shopper so that's a rarity for me, but when it does happen, it seems to happen only with Japanese based stores. I've discovered that the Japanese have mastered not only fishery of sea life, but also humans. And I'm pretty sure I'M EASY TUNA. When I first walked in, I first thought, "oh okay it's just like a Daiso," but then I started perusing in depth, and while it's the same concept--cute and useful small things for weirdly cheap prices--it's actually a lot nicer than Daiso. Their products seem nicer and higher quality, and actually a lot more useful in my life. Daiso tends to have stuff I really don't need to buy for myself and that I would never really give as gifts. Miniso, however, actually has stuff I would buy for necessity and stuff that does look quality enough to buy as small gifts for people without being embarrassed. Lots of cute and nice stuff for kids so it's definitely worth a visit if you have small children but don't wanna spend a ton on new toys that they'll get tired of soon. AND ALL FOR WEIRDLY CHEAP PRICES! My biggest question is who are the emotional bears on everything?! They brand them on everything like they're known Sanrio characters, but I'm pretty sure they just made them up for these products. The weird thing is their random branding worked because I WANTED MY ROOM COVERED WITH THEM and I'm neither a child nor a teen girl. I didn't end up needing anything at the moment, but I did leave with some black pearl under-eye patches that I can't wait to try! This store can be great for licensed toys and plushies. The snacks used to be better in selection and some of the home goods are inexpensive alternatives to named brands. I like the rotating toy selection of anime figures in particular. Pokemon cards are really overpriced and sales do t happen too often and only for specific items. They don't have a gift with purchase anymore like in the beginning. It's a convenient way to get anime toys in hand sometimes but I have to say, the store policy isn't great and the manager (Zena?) is a sadistic passive aggressive unhelpful person. I don't know if it's store policy to not cancel a transaction and redo it because the cashier forgot to ask for your rewards number, but it seems like a simple request and if a manager is needed to do this, this manager will not accommodate you. She came over and said that they could refund the amount and it takes 6-7 days to be refunded and that you can purchase it again, meaning you can spend double now and get money back a week later. She smirked and said dismissively, insincerely, and irreverently "it's our store policy have a good day goodbye" in monotone, repeating herself and waving her hand at me like shooing a fly! So unprofessional and unprovoked I could tell she got off giving bad news and metaphorically slamming the door in your face. Having to deal with this person is like driving and being cut off and then flipped off by some jerk, causing road rage in you. She would be more better suited working for the IRS.
