I'd give 10 STARS if I could! Exceeded my expectations! EXPERT CRAFTSPEOPLE with the EXPERIENCE and RESOURCES to totally remake my two chandeliers. And I'd trust them to handle my two Schonbeck Swarovski chandeliers, too. Of course, why not bring your precious crystal chandelier to a place that actually makes crystal chandeliers? -duh. I needed the color of the metal frame of my chandeliers changed from a bright gold to a bronze color with some gold flecks. In addition, I need all the pins that connect the crystals changed from gold to silver. We're talking tons of crystals, hundreds of pins, this was a big job. I was blown away by the level of service and attention to detail given to my project. Al created 5 or 6 custom color metal samples for me to choose from based on what I thought I might like. My chandeliers turned out absolutely beautiful!! They honestly could not have been re-crafted any better (and I inspected everything closely.) Al is knowledgeable about the different crystals and the regions of the world they come from and also knows so much about Swarovski, my favorite! He gave me a tour of his showroom with many fixtures and a very large selection of crystals. If you have a chandelier that needs some TLC or even a major overhaul, like mine, this is the place. I bought a beautiful chandelier in local salvage yard, overall it was good shape but missing quite a bit of crystal. I yelped and it chose to make a trip to the crystal place though it's a quite of drive for me based on glowing reviews and the fact that they have a website with different prices on varieties of crystals they carried. Why can't everything in life be like this? Crystal Place is great. Went there for the first time today, not to buy an extravagant chandelier (yet)--although there were plenty to choose from--but because I was in a rush and needed an oddly shaped light bulb last minute. The lighting store on my block randomly closed early for the day, so I drove around looking for another. I arrived at Crystal Place about five minutes before closing, pulled right into their side lot, parked, went right inside, and George was waiting inside and happy to help me despite the late hour. I showed him my fiancé's funky little lamp, explained what the original bulb (which I had lost) used to look like, and gave him the bizarre bulb instructions that came in the box, and sure enough, when George came back out from his light bulb closet, he had just the bulb I needed, for .99¢. George was personable, knowledgeable, and a delight to deal with. I got exactly what I needed and was on my way by 6:00 pm. After we marry next year, my fiancé and I plan (and hope, hope, hope) to have a little girl. If we can make that happen, you can be sure that we'll return to George to have a custom chandelier made for her nursery. And, in the meantime, I will definitely refer my friends, family, and associates to George. It wasn't easy finding a chandelier store that sold a multitude of findings and an assortment of crystals for restoring an old Schonbek chandelier - until I found the Crystal Place. Al Iryami, is extremely knowledgeable about all types of lighting - as is George, his assembler. His store is located in an industrial area & not along a main boulevard - but don't let that deter you. There's a small showroom, with really beautiful lighting on display & even more items housed in the back. Every fixture I saw looked luxurious, yet wasn't outrageously priced. I also purchased several contemporary fixtures, along with Strauss Crystals, bulbs, and bobeches. Lots of high quality items at a reasonable price - nothing looked chintzy or cheap. On my follow-up order - I asked if it could be shipped. A couple of days later, I received a meticulously packed box. Al, gave great advice about how I could improve the design & the look of the chandelier by suggesting an alternative to using open clips on the inner rings. A REALLY wonderful suggestion that made it look better than when it was new. He encouraged me to "make it my own" and not be afraid to make modifications along the way, which was quite freeing. He was patient and took time to ask questions. Crystal Place was the only place I contacted that had everything I needed - and knew what I was referring to. Surprisingly, not everyone I called - did. But more than any thing else, it became apparent right away this is a person with great integrity. He didn't suggest gratuitous extras to make more money - which he could have done. He told me the truth, gave practical advice, and really has an eye for what looks good. The best chandelier place I found in Los Angeles.... I have added some photos of wall chandeliers on display in the Crystal Palace showroom. The photos don't do them justice. Everything looks very elegant and expensive, yet the prices are VERY affordable considering the quality. If you're buying crystals, or findings to restore antique fixtures, or complete contemporary chandeliers fully assembled... THIS is the place. Al and the Crystal Place are the BEST! I contacted them because I had a pretty bronze chandelier, but the crystals that came with it were the cheap Chinese crystal ones. Al helped me choose the perfect Swarovski elements, and he recommended a mix of the almond shape and the pendeloque shape, and the fixture is STUNNING now. I have three other crystal fixtures in the house for which I will be ordering Swarovski elements from the Crystal Place. He was so helpful and knowledgeable, and the customer service was beyond compare. I received my full order within less than a week of placing it. I have a crystal chandelier from the 1930s. It was missing nearly all the crystals. I called several companies trying to find replacement pieces but I decided to go with Crystal Place because that had the exact pieces I needed, the price was right and they were super fast to respond to my email. They even had the matching attachment pieces for the crystals and assembled the whole thing for me. They did an AMAZING job putting it all together and the service was fast! Amazing! Al took one look of my broken chandelier from a photo and where it needed to go in my "new" home (also from a photo via e-mail) and knew instantly what needed to be done.
