I just left here and the only words I could say were "what just happened?" We brought in a light fixture I was sure would cost double the price of the fixture itself to fix. He fixed it in 10 minutes and just charged us $10 for the mounting pieces it was missing. I'm truly blown away. He is a total professional at what he does. The store also has some gorgeous lighting and we'll definitely be back to purchase! Thank you so much!!!

Found this amazing vintage lamp there too! - A stained glass lamp in the shape of a rooster features multicolored glass panels, including red, blue, green, yellow, and white, with a price tag indicating $75.

Great store. Great service. Thank you! They had the replacement parts I needed and they fixed my lamp on the spot!

We didn't like the lighting in our new trailer, so got a very cute little vintage number with dimmer. It really makes the place feel cozy.

This has been our "go-to" lighting store for years - and he never disappoints. There's a great mix of vintage items inside - last time there was the coolest phone shaped like a piano! The prices are reasonable for the quality of the items and what's great is Ian can rework a piece for you as well. I love lamps with dimmers and he was able to switch out the one we bought - works great. Love, love this place! He's got parking in the back, but you can usually find street parking depending on the hour.

I needed a lamp socket replaced, called Practical and they said come over. I drove over and 10 minutes later my lamp was repaired.

Great repair on a vintage chandelier. The chandelier was stolen during my move or I would send you a picture. I would definitely go back.

We also found some vintage (distressed) gooseneck barn style lamps that we plan on using over the garage door.

I responded to their IG story, sent a picture of the credenza and received a quote right away. They organized pick up right away and within a week, they were finished and delivered it back to my house! 10/10 experience and would recommend them to everyone. 1. Quality of work: they brought the credenza that had water stains and years of wear and tear back to life! I am so happy with their work and results! 2. Communication: fast and reliable communication throughout the whole process. I asked lots of questions and they answered everything with professionalism. They are clearly experts in antique furniture and woodwork and share their knowledge 3. Speed: they work fast! It took literally one week from the day I reached out to when they delivered the fully restored piece back in my living room! 4. I would definitely come back to them to restore any furniture pieces in the future. Highly recommend!

This Hollywood hidden gem sits pretty much by itself across from the Amazon Prime Experience theater off Wilcox Avenue/Sunset Blvd between Sunset and Selma Avenue. Street parking (meter), local parking garages and lots or the metro (a short stroll from Hollywood/Vine) are your foeful friend. Great customer service and so many attentions to detail displayed throughout their entire store. One thing I truly enjoyed/enjoy about Memento M. is their support of others, including several look clubs, organizations and events like the iconic She's in Parties goth night event every 4th Friday of the month. Open from Noon (12pm) to 6 daily, Thursday through Tuesday, with the exception of Wednesdays when they rest (are closed).

I'm a big fan of Gold Bug in Pasadena, but they are not quite as "dark" in their aesthetic. Memento Mori, on the other hand, feels like a pretty good replacement. So, what are you going to find here? Well, as you may have guessed from my intro, taxidermy. The classic boars and deer heads preserved as wall ornaments...but also delicate butterflies beautifully arranged under glass domes. While no where near as extensive a collection of preserved animal parts as Necromance, there still is a decent collection, particularly for decor. Memento Mori also lacks the strong mothball smell that permeated the aforementioned store. There is a large collection of silver jewelry incorporating classic taxidermy elements, such as glass eyes. And lots of trinkets for those of a "gothic" aesthetic. They also carry a number of very comfortable tshirts bearing variations of their logo, one of which currently hangs in my closet. Memento Mori also appears to serve as a gothic community center: they always have flyers and posters advertising events such as Endless Night, a vampire-themed ball, or gothic-themed fairs for artisans. So, definitely worth a visit if your aesthetics or predilections lean to the darker side of life.

This isn't a garage sale many of these are legit antiques, and some items does slip her detection system and are extremely low priced! Which is what kicked off the discussion as I was browsing for art supplies. I peeped the antique watches is in excellent condition just needing adjustment $35 and gold-filled is a steal!!! I would have snagged it if it wasn't in excellent condition as I respect workable items and repurpose the broken ones!
