I've been excitedly waiting for over a month for my custom sofa and matching armchair delivered via white glove service. Unfortunately my items arrived damaged - sofa arm slashed into by a box cutter and the bottom of the chair severely damaged from being dragged. For two days, TWO WHOLE DAYS, I've been attempting to get ahold of Apt 2B. I've waited on hold for over 2 hours, waited for a callback for over 4 hours, emailed and reached out via social media and....nothing. I got rid of all my furniture in anticipation of this delivery so I'm now stuck with an empty living room. WTF Apt 2B??? read more

Have a credit here for 700 plus dollars. Website has been down for many weeks. I assume out of business at this point - why is it so difficult to get an answer about the status of a business? Very poor customer service. I was sent the wrong color couch and now they're going to charge me a 25% restocking fee as well as $250 for delivery. Stay clear of this company. They have little respect for their customers. (And I purchased THREE couches from them within one year.) read more

Is APT2B in business? Is this a scam? Fraud? I purchased a sofa from APT2B for almost $1700 on Jan 23rd of this year. I received a confirmation email and an email asking me to confirm my shipping address on the same day. I received another email 3 days later stating that my sofa was in production. But almost immediately the website went down and is still under construction. They haven't replied to several emails I've sent and I recently spent over an hour on hold calling them before disconnecting, and despite the automation saying I was first in queue. I'm going to be following up with a bank dispute and pursuing legal action but am wondering what's going on because it doesn't look good. Sofa production is a fairly lengthy process so their quote of 2-4 weeks for production before shipping communication seems like a reasonable waiting period. Then a day or so ago I received 2 identical emails from 2 different people I don't know saying that the long email list included belonged to APT2B and they think it went bankrupt and closed its doors. What is going on? read more

Sofa was delivered without its legs. Delivery was 4 hours late without a call to notify. After a little over a year we saw a seam opening in our sofa. We contacted customer service was told since it past warranty there is nothing they can do. Just sent them another picture of our sofa with the middle seam now open over 12" and filling coming out. Again no help. We now have to put a blanket over a 3 year old sofa. Customer service is non-existent unless your defective happens to show up immediately. Don't purchase unless you only needs a sofa for 2 years. read more

I love the color and look of my Catalina pull out sofa. However, both the sofa and the pull out bed, with an upgraded mattress, are unbelievably uncomfortable and constantly leave back, neck and shoulder pain. It was going to be way to expensive to return and I hoped it would get better. It hasn't - it's still theost uncomfortable sofa. I submitted a review to the website 3 months ago and it has never been published. I'm extremely disappointed with the product and what feels like manipulation of their reviews. I won't ever buy furniture, esp a piece this expensive, again without being able to try it in a store or showroom first. Customer service was responsive and timely. Like the array of colors. No issues with delivery. read more

I purchased a chest and two nightstands from Apt2B's "Clifton" collection. I like the furniture, but will not go back to Apt2B. The packaging on the delivery identified the manufacturer as Modus Furniture, and that it is from their "Meadow" line of furniture. From there, it was a quick Google search to find at least three other retailers selling the exact same items for at least 33% less than what I paid at Apt2B while the items were "on sale" at Apt2B. (That is including the other retailers' delivery fees--I could have picked it up from a local retailer for even less.) All of those retailers identify the items as "Meadow" and have similar pricing. Only Apt2B changes the name and jacks up the price. I sent their customer care a message on their website (where it says "We will respond within 1 business day!") to give them an opportunity to keep a customer happy, but got no response. Writing this review to suggest to others that if you find something you like at Apt2B, you may be able to save a significant sum by looking elsewhere under other names. I am not going to mess with it (or their 15% restocking + shipping return policy) anymore. read more

We love our Apt2b sectional. We got the Bradbury 3pc Sectional Sofa and I can't say enough good things about it. First of all, I love that their sofas are made in the USA. Their customer service is amazing. I couldn't decide on a color because they have so many amazing choices, and they sent fabric swatches to help us decide. We went back and forth between different shades of Grey and Navy. When the swatches came in the mail, we studied our options and fell in love with "Thunder!" It's a beautiful shade of grey and the fabric is soft and stain-proof. And of course, it looks amazing :) read more

We purchased a gorgeous sofa from this company a little over a year ago. But exactly a month and a half after the warranty all the button started popping out of the cushions! They won't cover it because the one year warranty is over but they're willing to send us a technician for $64 an hour and sell us replacement buttons for $7.50 each. None of that would be guaranteed to work either. Anyway, buyer beware. read more

Though the furniture is top notch, it's the customer service that really sold me on this company. One of the pieces came damaged, but they were quick to replace and send over--like they sent it immediately. They helped coordinate pieces for my home and truly made the entire experience so special. I've never had this type of service from other furniture companies, so was impressed by how they handle customer care. I will definitely be coming back for future furniture needs. read more

Apt 2 B, Apartment Two Bee, apartment-to-be... ahh I get it. Ha. Here's a subtly pun-tastic furniture store that has plenty of selection in attractive designs at fairly reasonable pricing. They have a lot of stuff plus an on-line outlet. Staff are helpful and patient. Apt2B customer service is surprisingly pleasant. Not like all pressure-y which often happens at other furniture places. You can almost have great fun browsing the warehouse for chairs, sofas etc. Even if I didn't find the perfect piece, I'm tempted to return later to see what I might have missed or any new arrivals. It's totally APT TOO BEE browsing Apt 2B Warehouse, when looking to furnish your APARTMENT TO BE. (too much? yeah I know) read more

I left a detailed review about my experience on their website they haven't posted. It seems they are filtering out people reporting their poor quality. Update: After finally being delivered the correct sofa, we were then shipped the incorrect legs for our ottoman! Customer service shipped out the correct color of ottoman legs the same day after we called to let them know. So overall-- Cons: Apt2B's fulfillment department is a MESS. I was very hesitant to order any large piece of furniture online but I read a ton of reviews and Apt2B seemed great. I have to say, as far as customer service goes they were generally excellent, though they clearly have internal communication issues because I was getting messages from two different people and they were kind of all over the map. Anyway, I ordered the Lawson sofa, and loved it for about 3 weeks...then it started to creak loudly on one side when you move around or sit down, no matter how softly. I thought it was the leg, but it's definitely the internal structure. I live alone and don't plop down heavily, so pretty goddamn disappointing that a $2000 couch is creaking and I've only owned it for 2 months. Beware of the quality of these y'all. read more

Extremely frustrating. Their fabrication is not reliable. Shipping and customer service are both horrible. I am still waiting for my sofa after 3 months when they told me it only would take 7-9 weeks. Both factory and manager do not take ownership and they never try to solve the problems, only ask customers keep waiting. I would not order anything from them at all. read more

I had exactly the same experience as Weian W.'s review, and it's interesting to read the response from management (it's a boilerplate response). They said the same exact thing to me. Losing pieces of large furniture in shipping in with today's modern technology is unexplainable. Customers, please know this is not a one-time thing with Apt2D & Metropolitan (Weian's experience was just last month). They have no intention of getting better as a company, they are not sorry about their gross incompetence, and they probably are on their way out as a business. I ordered the Monroe 3 Piece Sectional and it is...perfect. I spent a long time looking for a couch at the "usual" places and could not find what I wanted at A) the right price or B) the right delivery time. Not only that, but I found the customer service experience at the West Elms of the world to be stressful and unhelpful. All that changed when I came across Apt2B. First and foremost, the customer service is incredible. The chat reps are great and personable and extremely well-acquainted with each piece of furniture. If you call Apt2B, it's more of the same - great and knowledgeable reps. The couch itself is great. It's very comfortable and looks fantastic. Delivery was easy (and free!). Our guests always comment on how nice our couch looks. The delivery time was very reasonable, the product is made in the USA and it costs less than most competitors' options. What's not to love? I have already recommended Apt2B to anyone and everyone who will give me the time of day. Highly recommended!!! read more

We just added a second Apt2B piece to our home--the stunning Nora Sofa in my office. I'm obsessed! I had a very specific vision in mind for my office and knew that I wanted something in navy velvet that was also a sleeper sofa. Oh and it needed to be glam and chic because that's how I was designing my office! The Nora Sofa is perfect and comes in over 60 color options so I was able to find the exact right color for my space. It's soo plush and comfortable and I love that my office can now double as a guest room since it's a sleeper sofa. As with the last time, white glove delivery was super smooth and seamless. I had no idea I could be so in love with an inanimate object! This sofa is the entire package: soft, cozy, supportive, has a reversible sectional AND a memory foam pullout mattress. I'm very concerned with the shipping partners that APT2B is selecting for their white glove service. With any kind of cursory search they would have found that CBC Movers, servicing the PNW region, is sitting consistently below a two star average across Yelp, Google, and Facebook reviews. Even their BBB complaint page is within the top 5-10 search results on Google. Had a delivery today and the workers did not bring any tools or gear I would expect for professional movers like forearm or shoulder straps, or hammer/screwdriver to take the door off the hinges (I had to provide the last two). With one exception, they did bring a dolly for moving furniture. One of the movers repeatedly complained about how heavy the couch was directly to me as they were trying to figure out how to get it into our space. I made sure to measure the back door and the stairway leading to the basement before delivery and they met or exceeded the 32" minimum stated on the order page for the Marco sectional. Back door is 32" wide and it's a straight shot into the basement stairway which widens to 35", there is a rail that cuts pretty close to 32" just below waist level and it is about 7 1/4 feet to the ceiling above the stairs The 2-man crew got the couch fully into the doorway and they got to the stairs, but they never unwrapped the furniture so I'm assuming the plastic, cardboard, and cushions were adding bulk to the couch as they tried to get it down stairs. Not sure how it fit in the door, but not down the stairway which was wider. Based on complaints about the weight of the sleeper portion of the sectional, I'm surprised they did not attempt to unwrap it and remove the cushions and the folding mattress to lighten the load and reduce the size of the couch to make an easier fit. After this whole debacle they brought the sleeper section back outside and said it wouldn't fit, without attempting to remove the packaging, cushions, or legs! They said I would have to return the item or they could leave it. They didn't even attempt to bring in the lighter and smaller chaise portion of the sectional. I told them to leave the items but then they wouldn't even attempt to put the couch in the living room. Apparently paying for white glove service does not mean inconveniencing the delivery crew by changing rooms, moving the couch around the front of the house, along a paved path, through an even wider front door. Now I have two pieces of a sectional out on my back patio so I wouldn't have to pay a restocking fee. CBC Movers sent workers that didn't seem to want to be there without the tools they needed to complete the job. Extremely poor experience. I can't even comment on the quality of the couch at this point but I see a lot of other angry reviews with the quality of CBC's "white glove" service. I know APT2B is not responsible for the delivery directly, but who you decide to partner with still reflects on your organization and the level of due diligence you perform. APT2B was kind enough to refund the White glove service fees, but right now I'm unable to use the couch because I don't have the tools or the capability to move this couch by myself, which is why I ordered the service to begin with. read more

The replacement sofa lasted about 6 months before the zipper on the back split. The fabric entirely pulled. Just by regular sitting down and getting up. I've had my sofa since September and it is not holding up well. The material is stretched out and ripplely and trying to smooth it out no longer works. The fabric is thin and I 'll have to get something to cover it pretty soon. I sent for a fabric swatch, but it had a backing on it so I didn't realize how thin the fabric is. I got a sofa from the Zane collection, which I see they no longer carry. This was not a custom order. It was one of the ready made. The craftsmanship was not so good. I could have done better for less, or a lot better for the same price. read more

First time purchasing from Apt2b and I'm blown away by the quality of our new sofa! My husband and I recently moved to a new apartment and we were looking for the perfect grey sectional. We chose the Mulholland sectional which we are so happy with. The style is very modern yet the sofa is the comfiest I've ever sat on! The fabric is amazing. We have had a few spills on it already and it has been very easy to clean, leaving no traces behind. The customer service is also excellent! We had a small concern as a part of the side of the sofa was damaged during transit. Apt2b resolved the issue quickly and I was very impressed with the service. If you're thinking about getting a piece of furniture from here--do it! You won't regret the quality and excellent service! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. read more

It's July 2020 Still love this sofa. Updated pictures. My kids are now 10 and 7. Still don't let dog on sofa but can say my boys are pretty rough with this sofa. I absolutely love Apt2B! I just got my second couch from them a week ago and let's just say I haven't done much this past week. (Lol) The people are also amazing to work with! They genuinely listen to my needs and always pull through with what I'm looking for. My furniture has lasted throughout 4 moves in the past 2 years. It makes whatever space I'm in feel like home. I've been in a few studio apartments now and I finally have a pullout couch (yay), the Melrose Reversible Chaise Sleeper Sofa, it creates so much space durning the day and I sleep like a baby on the memory foam mattress at night. I bought a velvet sofa and it's very pretty and comfortable enough so that is good. But soon after using it, and I would say light use, the seat cushions fabric started to ripple which is annoying. I always have to smooth it out with my hands. I am an average weight person, and this isn't used heavily. I talked with furniture maker and he said there wasn't enough stuffing in cushions and/ or the fabric wasn't stretched tight enough hence the issue. Also black thread is coming up on one cushion. So the cushions are cheaply made. There will be butt dents and ripples quickly. I'm use to better quality furniture that doesn't ever do that and for the cost I don't think this should happen. read more

This review is for the initial customer service I had with Apt2B: - Wanted to see the couches in person and they let me come to the warehouse to check it out. They were SO kind. Beyond hospitable. Tony S. helped me when I arrived (in the middle of his lunch break no less). So helpful. - I wanted the Monroe sectional but didn't want a 3-peice so he emailed their factory contact and they were able to make a custom 2-peice sectional just for me at a lower price. Super accomodating! - The warehouse had so many great samples which you'd normally get mailed to you but since I live in LA I just stopped by. Super helpful if you live in the area to see the great fabric options in person. - Great prices. $500-$1k+ less than big box stores. Unfortunatley, my experience ended there. The couch I had my heart set on was too big for my space :( Just wanted to let you all know there's great customer service behind that website. read more

They need a freaking storefront!!! Hence the 4 stars, not 5 stars. I am an old customer writing a long overdue review. With as much success as it appears Apt2B has had at this point there is no explanation as to why they do not have a brick and mortar store. They have deals from time to time with Costco carrying a few couches and popup stores around West Hollywood, etc. but really... why no permanent store? I'm thinking it is because they don't have to... which to me just seems either lazy or cheap... Which is a shame because I had such a good experience with them and want to recommend them to friends, and I try to, but it is VERY hard to purchase a couch sight unseen. They have a great customer service team so if trouble does arise they are very communicative and on top of it. I have dealt with Alex who has always been friendly and responsive. We bought the Melrose chaise sofa in woven graphite (I think... it was 3 years ago now) after seeing it numerous times in a pop-up location. Which was great because I sat on it. Hell, I laid on it, to make sure it was comfortable. I'm happy to report that over 3 years later this sectional sofa still looks great. We've of course rotated some cushions, etc. but overall this is one sturdy sofa which is well made. We've had it cleaned a few times because our dog's hair clings to it and it looks brand new again afterwards. We get compliments about it often. Hopefully they'll open a store soon so people don't have to worry about what they are buying and have to rely so heavily on reviews like these.... read more
