They answered all my questions in great detail and sent over fabric swatches a few days after I requested them. I also received a follow up email checking in to see if I had any questions regarding the fabric and the sofa of choice. Fast forward, I purchased the Melrose Sectional in Smoke. Love love it! My roommate and I just moved into a new apartment and needed all new furniture. Boy are we glad we found Apt2B! We were ready to upgrade from IKEA, and needed something fast! We ended up picking one of the tables from the Grand Metal Collection, and its super lovely! The stain on the top of the table is gorgeous, and the gold tint on the legs really adds a pop of color we didn't expect! We are going to add 2 more chairs to it, but for now, with just 2 chairs it suits our needs just fine! :) read more

They need a freaking storefront!!! Hence the 4 stars, not 5 stars. I am an old customer writing a long overdue review. With as much success as it appears Apt2B has had at this point there is no explanation as to why they do not have a brick and mortar store. They have deals from time to time with Costco carrying a few couches and popup stores around West Hollywood, etc. but really... why no permanent store? I'm thinking it is because they don't have to... which to me just seems either lazy or cheap... Which is a shame because I had such a good experience with them and want to recommend them to friends, and I try to, but it is VERY hard to purchase a couch sight unseen. They have a great customer service team so if trouble does arise they are very communicative and on top of it. I have dealt with Alex who has always been friendly and responsive. We bought the Melrose chaise sofa in woven graphite (I think... it was 3 years ago now) after seeing it numerous times in a pop-up location. Which was great because I sat on it. Hell, I laid on it, to make sure it was comfortable. I'm happy to report that over 3 years later this sectional sofa still looks great. We've of course rotated some cushions, etc. but overall this is one sturdy sofa which is well made. We've had it cleaned a few times because our dog's hair clings to it and it looks brand new again afterwards. We get compliments about it often. Hopefully they'll open a store soon so people don't have to worry about what they are buying and have to rely so heavily on reviews like these.... read more

We looked everywhere for the perfect sectional. The Mulholland Drive sectional is the perfect size for our space. It's elegant, but comfortable. The order process was so easy. I ordered the Delilah couch in velvet pomegranate with pecan legs. what I got was a cheap flimsy sofa that came In pomegranate cloth that feels like a cat scratching post. the legs are wobbly and feels like it could easily fall apart. this couch cost a lot of money and is certainly not worth it. the cushions are very uncomfortable and feel like I'm sitting on a cardboard box! I've ordered two couches from Apt 2B. The first (Melrose sectional) is over 4 years old and the couch still looks very good, except for the cat scratching which is obviously not their fault! The seat cushions especially have held up very well. Certainly there are higher quality sofas out there, in the $2,500 + range, but with two kids and two dogs and two cats I don't want to move up to the next price point, just to see all my babies destroying it! For the price I have been very pleased with the look and quality and these sofas. I did stop by their teeny showroom/ warehouse originally so I could check out quality. I'm sure they save a lot of money by not having proper store but it would be nice! read more

Purchased a Samson Sofa Lounger couch from their online outlet during a Labor Day sale, even though we didn't have our new apartment yet. Unlike West Elm (who gave us lots of problems), everyone at apt2b was extremely accomidating to us, and ultimately allowed us to hold the couch at their warehouse until we closed on our apartment more than 3 months later. No one pushes us to take delivery, but rather helped guide us through the process. Once we finally closed, they shipped it out ASAP and we received it in about a week. The couch itself is really comfortable, perfect for our space, and very true to the pictures and specs on the site. BEWARE WHEN ORDERING. I have to say one of the most disappointing moments is waiting almost a month for the sofa to arrive, only to find out it won't fit, even after talking with an Apt2b customer service representative about this very issue. Prior to ordering my sofa I spoke with a customer service rep to get help finding out if the sofa would fit through my entry way. It was great that I was able to provide pictures through their instant messaging system, as well as measurements in order to help the rep better understand the difficulty that the mover may face. After providing multiple pictures with different angles, and measurements the rep's opinion was that it should be able to fit the entry way. To be fair they didn't guarantee that it would, but they did seem to think that it more likely would than wouldn't. So when the sofa arrived and didn't fit obviously I was very disappointed. I feel that reps are encouraged to push the sale forward in situations like this with the burden being on the customer in the end if it doesn't fit. Yes the shipping is free, but return shipping isn't. read more

We had a great experience with Apt2B from ordering through delivery. We have friends with two sofas from here so we had seen them in person (and sat on them) but we still chose a fabric we weren't familiar with (the performance blue.) Alex responded thoughtfully (and quickly) to my questions about which fabric would best suit our needs (messy children, a dog who sits on furniture, general lack of respect for our belongings) It's gorgeous, modern and comfortable. I'd say it's definitely on the firmer side BUT that is exactly what we were looking for. Our old West Elm couch had gotten too soft for all of us. We also ordered the Murtaugh media console and it's very pretty. I think it's a good value for nice clean modern lines. The delivery was very fast--we are in LA so I'm sure that helps. And they were nice and set everything up quickly and to our specifications. I have already recommended them to friends. read more

I ordered my sofa and was excited when I received notice of my delivery date. Unfortunately, I spent the day waiting on delivery that never came. The third party vendor did not show and did not communicate regarding the no show. I reach out several times and they rescheduled - this time I received a call in the middle of the delivery window saying they needed to reschedule. I received a third delivery date and was promised that would be the first delivery that morning at 9:30am. At approximately 10:30am a truck arrived and the delivery men looked in the truck for about 30min and said they did not have my sofa. They informed me that I would be contacted by the manager and I'm still waiting. I have no sofa and what started as excitement about what I believed would be a nice addition to my home has turned into confusion and anger regarding the disorganized and unprofessional customer service. I hope to provide and update, but after 3 delivery dates and counting....still no sofa. read more

First, I corresponded a few times in the chat box of the website, which is a great feature, for which I received prompt responses for information on the style of the couch, and assuring me that the item was just a overstock without any manufacturing defects (for the great deal that I was getting from the outlet). I loved my Monroe sofa in smoke & had it about a year and a half. It was more firm than I liked (it would be fine for like an office waiting room but not ideal for living room movie nights), but it was elegant looking, the right size for my loft & the smoke fabric was great at hiding dog fur. The issues arose when it was damaged during a move. It got dropped, the legs mysteriously got lost in transit & my sofa arrived with missing legs and an incredibly squeaky frame. The moving company offered to pay for Apt2B to fix the sofa. First off, getting an actual invoice showing what an exact replacement would cost from Apt2B was impossible. I was told to go to the website. I don't need a screenshot, I need an actual invoice. Nope, not happening with this company. Then, I asked how much the repair cost would be. Again, I needed some kind of estimate written down to turn over to the movers. I was only told replacement legs were $20 each. Apparently Apt2B doesn't do repairs or have any list of company certified furniture repair places. So, if you decide to buy from here, just know they don't actually stand behind the pieces they build. After the warranty is up, you are very much on your own. This indicates to me that they don't expect their products to really last. When I did get 2 estimates from local furniture places for the squeaky frame, I was told the sofa wasn't really worth the cost of the repair. I purchased the sofa because I thought it would last, but honestly, my old grad school IKEA Karlstad made it through more moves, parties, movie marathons & was more comfortable to sit on. I will not be purchasing from Apt2B in the future. read more

We're very disappointed in the service we received and are hoping not to have to return the bedroom set we purchased. First off, they'rewhite glove delivery" was due to deliver between 3pm and 7pm. The drivers called three hours early - even after calling to confirm the times with them that morning. We had to re arrange our afternoon to accommodate them only to find out the hardware to put the bed together is missing and they cannot finish assembly. We'll see what happens on Monday when the store opens. However, after the run around we received on Saturday from their "white glove delivery" service and the store when calling to confirm when they will be out to finish. It's highly likely we will have no choice but to return. If they make it right, I will update my review. As promised, finally an update on this. While the white glove service was far from ideal. Candace from Apt2B was most helpful with getting this situation rectified. We ended up purchasing the hardware from Home Depot after they sent the incorrect hardware and putting the bed together ourselves. The bedroom set is very sturdy and high quality. Unfortunately, the White Glove Service was not. read more

Apt2B is AMAZING! I have nothing but positive feedback to give! I moved in June during the pandemic and I did the white glove delivery and they were SO professional, helpful, and polite. They even helped me make sure all of the furniture was in the right spots in my apartment since it was so heavy and it would be hard for me to move on my own. I ordered the Chloe Side Tabes and Dresser and couldn't be happier with my order. They are absolutely BEAUTIFUL and I love the gold hardware on each piece, it gives them such a unique touch. Finding decent furniture that will fit into a 1BD apartment in LA is surprisingly tricky. I was looking for a kitchen/dining table that would be big enough to actually function as a table, yet small enough to fit in my kitchen. I came across Apt2B and ended up purchasing a small kitchen table during their Black Friday sale. They were amazingly patient when it came to setting up delivery. Between school and just me being an airhead I missed some of their calls, but I finally emailed them back. Their customer service responded within a few hours and I was able to setup delivery for a couple days later. The delivery itself was seamless, and the guy brought the table right to my apartment (I live up a few floors). A lot of places only do curb delivery with furniture and I'm not exactly a big person so having someone do the heavy moving was majorly appreciated. Everyone I communicated with from this company was amazing, The table itself is really well made and sturdy. For the price, I was really surprised at the quality. I highly recommend this company, and I can't wait to get some more furniture from them. read more

This review is not for their product! I was so close to buying a sectional from this company, but after chatting with a customer representative, I changed my mind. I decided to put this on Yelp because I think it is very important for all prospective customers to know their policy regarding defect merchandise. Here is how the chat went- I asked if I would be responsible for anything (shipping fee, etc) If I receive a defect merchandise that is purely their mistake. and here is what they said (copy and pasted from the chat) : "I wish that were something I could guarantee, but there are scenarios where you would be liable for return shipping costs to us. it's an unfortunate aspect of this business" FYI, on their site they say 100% satisfaction guarantee. So I asked please give me a example of those scenarios, because I have never heard of a case where customers have to be responsible for return shipping, which can be hundreds of $. APT2B goes, (copy and pasted from the chat) "if it's an issue that can only be fixed by our factory then a customer would need to have the sofa shipped back to our factory, we'll fix it for free, and then ship it back to the customerwe pass on as many savings to the customer as we possibly can. we ship for free with every order to every part of the country. we take on those shipping costs ourselves as a gesture" After reading that, I did not feel good purchasing something from a company that is not willing to be responsible for their mistake. FREE SHIPPING!!!* *but if you receive a defect, hundreds of dollars out of your pocket and no sofa!! I think that is just bad business. read more

I had the best online experience when I purchased the Monroe 3pc sectional sofa in January 2017. The swatches helped a lot since I was looking for a specific color and texture. The curved corner is better than any other sectional available. This is a firm and well built piece, not fluffy or cozy, modern and minimalist which is what I prefer so be aware of that. Alex Bonifer was amazing through the process and the quality of service exceeded expectations. I also like the idea that this sofa was custom made is Los Angeles, not a mass produced, lower quality Asian item (cheaper is never better). Tony S. helped me when I arrived (in the middle of his lunch break no less). So helpful. - I wanted the Monroe sectional but didn't want a 3-peice so he emailed their factory contact and they were able to make a custom 2-peice sectional just for me at a lower price. Super accomodating! - The warehouse had so many great samples which you'd normally get mailed to you but since I live in LA I just stopped by. Super helpful if you live in the area to see the great fabric options in person. - Great prices. $500-$1k+ less than big box stores. Unfortunatley, my experience ended there. We have had our Logan Sectional for four months now and love it even more than when we first received it. I call it our "optical illusion" couch because it has so much seating without looking or feeling huge. And it is so, so comfortable. It has held up well with two kids and a dog jumping on it. I've had to remove the seat covers occasionally to hand wash spills and they look great even after.
