My search for a sofa was two years in the making when I found Sofa Design Gallery. They not only had some beautiful styles, but it was the only place I could find fabulous fabrics which were both perfect in color and texture. Bijan helped me to completely tailor my sofa to my requested size, finish, depth, and "cushiness." If I'd read this review myself i know I'd say--ok... but what about price? Here my expectations were also surpassed. The price was reasonable and I didn't feel like I got taken as is so common these days. I wish I had found the place sooner. read more

i would like to raise my 4 stars to 5. Since writing my review Bijan has gone above and beyond for me. Thanx Bijan, here's one more star.

For the last 30-years or so my family and I been purchasing all of our home furnishings (bedrooms , living rooms, dining rooms etc ) from Sofa design. We ordered lots of customs made furnitures and beds from them throughout the years and their service and quality have been second to none EXCEPTIONAL. Thank you Sofa Design. read more

I had a great experience from start to finish working with Bijan and Sofa Design Gallery. I needed custom built couches to fit the spaces in my new home. The couches, chairs, rug and coffee table that I purchased turned out perfect! Beautifully crafted, and the materials and color options were very high end. I highly recommend checking them out!!!! read more

I asked if the furniture I was buying were made in Italy. He said yes. They arrived with big, shiny Made in China tags. I paid Italian furniture price and got china delivery. Looks like they forgot to take off the tags. read more

Thank you Bijan! You delivered quality furniture at a great price! I have used Bijan 3 times in the last 30 years. The first time, before kids I went very expensive, very high end and the pieces to this day are still on display. Now I needed furniture where I couldn't spend the money I used to. So I purchased sight unseen on his word that all his furniture is of great quality! And guess what? It is!! I'm very happy!! Thank you Bijan!! read more

Sofa Design Gallery - A green sectional and cream swivel chair on an area rug - Furniture Stores Near Me - Sherman Oaks, California

I ran into Sofa Design Gallery after a long and frustrating search for a sectional that actually fit both my space and my style. Bijan was super helpful and actually listened to what I wanted, then walked me through all the fabric choices, dimensions, and cushion options without making it feel overwhelming. It honestly felt more like working with a designer than just buying furniture. The whole process was great! Bijan kept me updated the entire time, and my custom sofa was delivered a little earlier than promised, which was a nice surprise. And the sofa? It's perfect. Super comfortable, beautiful craftsmanship, and exactly what I pictured--maybe even better. I've already sent two friends their way, and I'll definitely be coming back for more pieces. Highly recommend for anyone in need of custom designer furniture in LA! read more

I first was drawn to SDG when I saw that they can do a custom couch in 2 weeks for a reasonable price. When I went into the shop I never realized how fast or easy it would be to make a decision!! I fell in love with this super soft flannel blend fabric. The owner was very sweet and I was super happy to receive a yelp discount. My couch arrived on time and the delivery guys were very nice and professional. Best of all I love my new couch!!! Thank you Sofa Design Gallery!! read more

Love our new sofa! My husband and I were searching online and at chain furniture stores for months. Everything was too big, too small, not the aesthetic we wanted, and the expected delivery wait was 6 months! We finally gave up and decided to look at local custom options and came across Sofa Design Gallery on Yelp. We came into the store one afternoon and Bijan the owner was incredibly helpful. He let us peek around the gallery and get a feel for what we liked. From there we had him price out our desired style, shape, size, fabric, etc. and put together a quote. He even helped us design a piece that would fit up our narrow stairway. We were super happy to get a couch that was EXACTLY what we wanted, priced fairly, and best of all we got it custom made and delivered in about 3 weeks! We have now had the couch for a bit and we are really happy with our choice. It's the perfect size for our space, the workmanship great, it's incredibly comfortable (perfect balance of firm and soft), and I can tell it's a piece that we will have for a long time! Highly recommend if you're in the LA area and furniture shopping! read more

I Love working with Mr. Bijan. After dealing with 3 different Designers who all wanted to push their own agenda, I finally went to Bijan who was referred to us by a very close friend and let me tell you not only he was a lot better on his pricing, he also was very organized, and detail oriented in all the little and big stuff with perfect workmanship. He even ended up making us other stuff besides the bed and sofas, and even was able to help us getting additional pieces for the ones we had done with the previous designers and match them perfectly for us. Thank you so much Bijan and Team and i wish i had come to you from the very beginning. I will definitely go back to him over and over again. read more

I got several piece of new furniture custom made and their quality and service is great. It's pricy but you get what you pay for. I'm very satisfied with what I got so far and still waiting for my final piece. What I also love is that you don't have to wait 8-10 weeks for them to make and delivery them. They do deliver early than expected. read more

This showroom is wonderful! I had been looking for months for a sofa that was NOT neutral and cookie cutter, which was all I was seeing in the usual furniture stores. Sofa Design Gallery had exactly what I was looking for! With little explanation from me, James took me straight to "my" sofa that I had been searching for. Literally love at 1st sight. It's very well-made, really comfortable and the fabric is gorgeous. And while I was there, I spotted a chair that I also liked a lot. I had it remade in a fabric that I picked out to match the sofa. I am completely happy with both pieces. Both James and Bijon were very helpful, their customer service was fantastic. Even their delivery guys were wonderful. They were very careful and professional. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience! I highly recommend you check them out. read more

We have never had a more pleasant experience furniture shopping. James was absolutely delightful! He introduced himself, allowed us to browse and when we had some questions was more than helpful in answering those questions. The furniture here is stunning! We got a beautiful dining table we'd been eyeing online for a few months. The prices are spot on for the quality of the pieces. We'll be back for more soon! Thank you James!! read more

Michael and Bijan gave me amazing service! I left the store with a smile on my face. I would definitely recommend getting furniture there!!!

If you are shopping for a sofa, you'll want to start your search at the Sofa Design Gallery. I got a custom made sofa, a REAL piece of furniture just the way I wanted, and within my budget. I had been shopping for a sofa for months, I searched online, but couldn't find the sectional I was looking for, I drove around Los Angeles to every showroom I could find... still, no luck. It didn't sit well with me (pun intended) to pay for a sofa that wasn't exactly what I wanted. I wasn't asking for much, just an updated version of a mid-century sofa. A well built low profile "L" shaped sectional with piping and narrow arms. Bijan at the Sofa Design Gallery totally understood my situation, and he took the time to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I solid piece of furniture that will last. Thank you Bijan read more

Thank you to Pam & Bijan for my brand new sofa from Sofa Design Gallery! Pam made the buying experience easy and educated me each step of the way. You get more than you pay for too! The construction is solid and the fabrics luxurious. They don't pressure you and that's refreshing. They don't need to because they have quality products. The delivery was not easy. I live on the fourth floor of my apartment building and the new sofa was too large for the elevator. But the guys didn't hesitate to thoroughly wrap the sofa and walk it up four flights of stairs. In a day of big box super stores it's refreshing to give my business to a local, small business that appreciates my business. Give Sofa Design Gallery a chance and they won't disappoint. read more

My son and I were in this neighborhood and visited this high end furniture store. We found the owner to be very knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely go back there with my wife to select and purchase a couple of items we need for our living room. read more

WOW WOW WOW!!!!! Where to begin?! First let me start by saying, I am a realtor in the SoCal area and am constantly on the lookout for incredible vendors, stores, restaurants to send my clients to. I hold everyone I recommend to a high level of excellence that is far beyond the best of the best in what they do. LOOK NO FURTHER! There is not another furniture design store that will either have, or make exactly what you are looking for! From luxury and top end pieces to gorgeous designs that fit in the same budget as even the liquidated/discount furniture stores (no, really, some even lower than those discount stores)! Whatever your price range may be this should be your FIRST place to stop! I send, and will continue to send every single one of my clients and fellow Realtors here! Not only is their product phenomenal but Pam and Bijan are as helpful, friendly and warm as could be. Pam had me at hello the second I walked in. She was attentive, patient, hysterical and passionate about what she does. She worked with me to put together the dream couch I had been looking for and sat with my indecisive self forever while I went back and forth with fabrics and colors. Bijan took the time to draw out my design and celebrated with me as I got giddy with the fact that the couch I always thought would be out of budget was actually coming together! As someone who spends everyday in different homes, staring at furniture and design magazines and constantly on the lookout for quality home furnishings, I can say with 100% certainty that Sofa Design gallery is what you are even on YELP, reading reviews, trying to find. They made my couch at a quarter of the price given to me (for the same couch) from a store in Beverly hills. DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF. Go talk to Pam and Bijan now. If the showroom doesn't have what you are looking for, sit and get a price for your exact design. It's worth it! STOP reading this review and go see for yourself guys! read more

I Found Sofa Design driving by. Pamela and Bijan were awesome. My couch was custom made and delivered but had a few stains on the edge and other spots from warehouse. I was freaking out. BIjan promised me that he would take care of it and had his movers bring some sofa pieces back. I really appreciate his professionalism; he even added in a gift for the inconvenience. I can't believe that all I have to do is wipe my couch with a white cloth and stains come right off. I bought a custom made vanilla sectional shown on the website. Love it. Still shopping there for a custom bed and many other pieces and options. read more

I bought a sofa ottoman and a chair for my living room and then another chair for my Bedroom. After looking all over West Hollywood for a sofa, we just happened to be in Sherman Oaks one day, walking by a store with furniture in the window and we went in. Within minutes we saw sofas that were exactly what we were looking for - with design choices and a variety of fabrics that we couldn't believe! Michael (the salesman), filled us in on all our options and guided us through the process of choosing a sofa and within an hour we were in and out the door with our new sofa ordered, to be delivered in one month. Our sofa just arrived (a few days early) - and it is gorgeous! Everything exactly as Michael promised - the delivery guys took our old sofa when they brought the new one. We are thrilled - and all this for half the price of what we would have paid in WeHo for sofas that were not nearly as nice as this one. Seriously. Amazing. What a great store - with their own factory and one-month delivery - on time. Look no further, this is the place! And Michael is a sweetheart who will go the extra mile for you. read more

We've been needing new sofas for a few years, but never wanted to deal with pushy sales people and the interminable wait that necessarily accompanies furniture shopping. Decided to bite the bullet and stopped into Sofa Design Gallery one weekend, based on its Yelp reviews. I could not have wished for a better experience. Bijan was friendly and super helpful without being pushy. We were able to get exactly what we wanted. Two matching couches were delivered on time and are perfect in the space. Bijan even included some throw pillows in the delivery for us to "try out" in the space. We'll definitely be back as we continue to accessorize the room. read more

I ordered a console table from Bijan sight unseen. It could not be more happy with not only the product but the processs. Bijan was super professional, gave a no haggle no pressure price. Delivery was within two days! We did have a slight issue with delivery, but he was able to resolve it professionally and speedily. I would recommend this shop to my friends and family because of how they handle issues when they arise. It's one thing to be professional before you make the sale, but to also be helpful when a problem arises makes me want to use them again. read more
