My sister wanted to go to this location because she had heard great things about it. We found a lot of Easter stuff and other things that we can't find at the Dollar Tree near my house. Every aisle is well organized and fully stocked. The service was great. Imelda checked us out, and she was very friendly and great with all the kids. She rang us up really fast and also let me know about some of the items that were more than $1.25. I appreciate that. I'll be back soon to buy some more items from here. read more

I always preferred the 99 cent discount stores over other discount stores. Being honest as always. However, since almost all 99 cent stores went out of business, and the DOLLAR TREE took over the one on Lankershim blvd, in Studio City/NOHO area... which was so close to home, I haven't gone toTHAT PARTICULAR Dollar Tree since 99 cent closed down. Anyway, let me focus on THIS PARTICULAR Dollar Tree store. I have been to other $ Tree Stores locally and find this store SUPER Great in every way. I don't go there as often, but when I do, I end up buying the whole store. Sometimes, there are things that other stores don't have, but Dollar Tree comes pretty handy at all times! They literally have everything from A to Z. From food, to small pieces of electronic devices, to arts & crafts, to toys for kids, balloons/flowers, to greeting cards, to household items/products. Even seasonal stuff during the holidays. There is everything that you need for everyone. Affordable prices, (sometimes it's a little over a $) and that's fine too. Great customer service with a clean bathroom that they let you use whenever you need to go. Bathroom is an essential for me; and a lot of places don't let you use their bathrooms!! Sad, but true. Store is fully stocked, organized, big and very CLEAN!! Easy to navigate and if you need help, employees are pretty helpful most of the time. This store I like I like the people I like the service every time I ask for help they actually help me and they go in the back to see if there's something for me that's not on the shelf, so this particular store I would tell people to go to. I mean you walk in the door they say hello and their parking lot is always full It's always about the people not so much the product cause nobody wants to go in a store and have an attitude with your workers. But put music in your stores people like to shop with music they actually buy more so you're cutting money in the wrong place. But corporate you still haven't gotten back to me. I wish I knew a WELL STOCKED Dollar Tree ANYWHERE in the San Fernando Valley. This one in Valley Village is so poorly stocked! The parking lot is too tiny, and then you come in and see so many BARE shelves! It's disheartening. This one is terrible like the others. Today I came in and it's the first time literally ever, that there was more than 0-1 parking spaces available. Normally if I come here and the lot is full, and people are waiting. I've arrived just to leave because too many people are waiting for a spot and it's not worth the effort. The lot is too small for the amount of people who want to shop here. The fact parking was open was the only good thing about my visit today. I swore off this company after too many bad experiences, but I needed 2 small things I knew you'd have and I figured I'd brave the store. Huge mistake. I come in, got what I needed, and 2 lines are open. Which is the most I've ever seen open in this store. There were 4 employees up front, 2 on the register and 2 doing other things. Both customers at the register needed balloons. So they keep calling out the number of balloon they want, and both cashiers keep saying no we don't have that one, no not that one either, nope... so one lady leaves, and the cashier also leaves. There's a massive line and she just straight up leaves. So this homeless guy is also in there, and he keeps going back and forth to the line that just closed, and now that the cashier is gone (a rather larger sized female employee) he starts shouting HELLO HELLO IM READY TO GO WHERE IS SHE?? With him doing that, all 4 employees freeze up, the one who fled the register is telling some other dude to open up instead of just doing it herself, then some other guy busts out and starts yelling because the entire store has stopped functioning!!! He's yelling that there needs to be a cashier. The employees just fell apart, and they weren't saying anything. There's suddenly like 10 people in line and you closed one line, and the other one is still looking for a balloon to buy!!! This store is so idiotic. The ignorance makes me angry, and what really infuriates me is we lost the 99¢ Store just to have your foolish company attempt to take over. You don't deserve it, and I do not look forward to it. Every single time I enter one of your establishments the place is falling apart, 1 register open, mile long line, people fighting. This place rocks! They have so many great items and everything is a buck! The parking is always full but I've always managed to find a spot. Facility is clean and well stocked. This is the worst Dollar Tree. Unfortunately it's also the one that's closest to me. It's small. The shelves are mostly empty no matter when I go. It's looks like it did during the pandemic! No cleaning supplies, no health and beauty supplies. I'm talking about basics. Don't even bother to look for any of the viral items. Lines are always long, I don't know why because the store is never stocked so I don't know what people are buying. They recently remodeled the store so I was hoping it would improve, but it seems like all they did was move items around making it harder to find them and put in a price scanner. read more

The Dollar Tree off Magnolia near Laurel Canyon in Valley Village... Studio City adjacent, is a stand alone with it's own parking lot, which is something you don't see often... Just west/right of the Jon's Grocery Store Plaza... It is kept up to a good degree... rarely messy or out of place... but is shopped hard and often by patrons. They almost never have what most other fellow D.T. stores carry. It's definitely a smaller if not uniquely laid out location. I've been in for dental hygiene products, snacks, candy, candles and art supplies and been let down at what is in stock/available as well as what isn't... naturally. The service clerks are pleasant, but not the most helpful in terms of assistance or efficient check outs. Overall the store is very clean and all though the parking lot is small it's spacious and usually never completely full.... you won't have a bad experience... but you also probably wont find what you need your first trip here... but you never know... they're just a limited store front. read more

There was a cashier with no name tag on so I don't know who to complain against. She did have on little black hoops and a lot of eyeliner. Did not show any good customer service and was rude. She opened up I believe it's line three just for a brief moment to cut down the line but proceeded to help who she wanted. So sad. This is a decent store, location wise, off Magnolia, near Laurel Canyon. It has its own parking lot, sometimes could be crowded, but sometimes it could be OK. The actual store is cleaner, but smaller, so everything is kinda cramped and the selection not as good as other Dollar Tree stores: mailing supplies aren't as plentiful, envelopes especially, same with paper plates stock. The party supplies are plentiful and decent. Customer service isn't as good, people working here not as nice and kinda in the way while I was shopping. Same at the register. If you ask a question you get kinda of a rude answer, "OK, don't bite my head" for asking a simple question. Decent option, you can still find some useful things here. read more

Today, I purchased several items, and the cashier forgot to put one of them in the bag. I love shopping at most Dollar Trees. They often have many things at a reasonable price; however, every time I come to this location, the line is ridiculously long with one cashier open. The female manager is almost always standing watching instead of opening another register or helping fill balloons, even though the line is through the aisles! I'm usually able to let it go, as I understand it's difficult when it's busy. Today was the last straw. The manager opened a new register for an employee to check out and refused to assist any customers that waited almost 30 minutes in line. I shop at the dollar tree at least 2 times a week and spend anywhere from $25.00 to $50.00 every time I come... I pitched 2 items that broke... When I took them back... Fon the manager asked if I had my receipt... Zi said no.... reatlisically; Zif I kept all my receipts from dollar tree... I would have no where to store them... Then he said ok you can exchange them this time... the items were faulty and basically all the items are the same price... The manager Don did not have a good attitude.. So I went shopping and also bought additional items..... So the cashier checked me out and I had a glass item; so I said" Do you have anything to wrap that in... Do it does not break?? I said like maybe some paper towells... She said No and then said and if I wrap it in a bag(I have to charge you 10 cents.... It wasn't to put items I had purchased in... It was to prevent a glass item that I had purchased from breaking!!!??? I have never had anyone charge me extra for wrapping a glass item( to prevent it from breaking( Never) Her attitude was not very good either... Don't get me wrong .. I love the Dollar tree... Well as it turned out they did not work for my project so I stop at their store this evening to return them I was told they do not accept returns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ran to The Dollar Tree nearby my home (Valley Village, CA) to buy canned green beans to complete a recipe that I was cooking. I quickly grabbed the cans and headed for checkout. The lights were turned on at registers 2 and 4; however no one was actually working at register 2. I proceeded to register 4, where I was fourth in line, and the line extended down the length of an aisle due to social distancing restrictions. I waited for a few minutes, while the cashier chatted with a previous customer as well as the current customer in front of her. So, with my four cans of green beans, and a couple of additional "impulse buy" items beginning to feel heavy in my hands, I walked one aisle over to find two additional employees stocking the shelves on the same aisle and chatting amongst themselves. I said, "Is there anyone that could please open another register? There are four people waiting in line, and this gal looks like she could use some help." One of the two store employees reluctantly walked over to register 2. I headed over to her register and set down my items. As she began to scan them, I stated, "It's nothing personal-- I'm just in a hurry because I have food cooking on the stove." She rudely replies, "WELL, THAT'S UNSAFE!" To which I explained, "Actually, I have a teenage daughter who is home right now... not unsafe at all-- I just need to get back home quickly to finish cooking." At this point, the RUDE cashier rolled her eyes at me, with her fake Dollar Tree eyelashes and all. I asked, "What is your name?" She said, "Why?" I replied, "So I can know whom I'm having this incredibly negative experience with when I contact Corporate." She refused to state her name. I then asked her to please call her manager over. The childish cashier said, "No-- You can get back in line" and walked away from the register, leaving me mid-transaction after having already scanned my items. I turned around to the cashier at register 2 and asked her to please call over the manager for me. Meanwhile, I can hear that the RUDE little girl has gone running over to her manager to try and twist the story. The manager reluctantly came over as far as register 3, and attempted to ask me what I needed, with an attitude that clearly spoke to the fact that she was ready to defend her cashier's unprofessional behavior. I refused to turn around until she presented herself at register 4, where I had just been left standing, and disrespectfully walked away from for asking the cashier her name, all while simply trying to buy some darn green beans! read more

This is a nice dollar tree, as it is usually organized well and clean. They have a lot of items for such a small store, and I am always able to find the things I need, such as school supplies, seasonal items, bottles or larger jugs of water, and cleaning supplies as well. Staff here is friendly, and they are quick to open new registers when the checkout lines get backed up - (which we all know most 99 cent and dollar tree locations wait until the line wraps around the entire store to open a new register). Parking lot is on the smaller side, but this location is next to a neighborhood with extra parking. Don't be fooled by the small size of the store, this place is jam packed with merch! read more

Beware!! Zero stars for this place!!! Terrible customer service!!! Don't go to this store!! I had to file a police report because I was kicked out of the store. The late night manager and her other 2 employees working Wednesday night on 8/26/20 are very ignorant, inconsiderate and disrespectful!!! First they tell me they can help me blow up balloons at 8:55pm and at 9pm. The manager was standing with the door open trying to kick me out. Stating that the registers are going to turn off. Knowing that she turns off the registers herself. Then she claimed I was harassing her and she was going to call the cops... funny how I was already on the phone with the police. The late night manager would not identify herself and her co-workers were mocking me through the window. Beware!!! This place is terrible and so are the people working here. Whatever you do. Birthday cards, wrapping paper, gift stuffers like candy and toys, gift bags, balloons - - they have it all! For the most part, it's organized. It gets kind of crazy during holidays but it really is understandable because they have tons of people coming in and out of there like savages. You know it's true. Plus! They have a lot of cool holiday items that excite people, like myself. So, it can get messy real fast. Customer service is average. No complaints but also no extraordinary stories of an employee going out of their way to make my experience unforgettable. Hey, a girl can dream. My only complaint is the parking lot. They have EVERYTHING! I love this store. I literally can find everything I need for $1! This Dollar Tree is conveniently located in the Studio City/Valley Village area. It's pretty clean on the inside, but, depending on what time you go, there can be some pretty sketchy people outside. It would probably be nice if they had security outside to keep the "riff raff" off the property. Parking can be a bit of a challenge as well since the parking lot is tiny. The customer service is pretty good. Make sure you bring your own bags to shop since they also charge for bags which is pretty odd for it being a $1 store lol. Or at least that's what I thought was the problem, in which case I would have thrown them out. However, when I investigated a bit further, I discovered that these AA batteries are a tad shorter than they're supposed to be. They're too short to make contact and create an electrical current! Can I post the pix I took of the Sunbeam AA's standing side X side, next to my other AA's (i.e, Panasonic) ? The difference in height is undeniable & unbelievable! I know about the Dollar Tree "NO REFUND" policy...but when the merchandise is totally & obviously defective...?? Seems it doesn't matter...not even an offer to exchange for a different battery. This was the clincher for me...AND THEY ARE STILL SELLING THEM! THEY KNOW THEY ARE DEFECTIVE!! THE SHELVES ARE STILL STOCKED WITH THEM! HOW IMMORAL CAN YOU GET????? This DT is always a great place to spend that $12.50 burning a hole in your checking account. Great greeting card selection (are u like me and buy the card ahead of time, then can't find it when the the comes? You won't shed any tears losing these, cause they only cost a buck). They have like two bins stocked with posters, visual aids, and stickers. They have a bunch of stuff for your dramatic/dress up area.
