And if anyone knows me, I can dance...lol It's located in a mini mall on the South East corner of Sepulveda & Van Owen. Plenty of parking in the lot...Most items are under $2.00 hence the name. They have many celebratory items including balloons. There is a kitchen, beauty, household, arts & crafts, toy, and food section as well. However, there was a tiny wooden part that came with the item or possibly one of the others since we bought 3!) anyway, the employee checking us out had asked another employee about our product (maybe she thought it was broken) and Sandra came up and refusing our return, then started to raise her voice, accusing us of breaking our UNOPENED item. Both my husband and I asked for her to show us where it was broken and she refused to open it.. if it's broken, why not open it? Oh that's right, because it was brand new. She said "this is her store and she knows her products" yeahhhh right!!! She also proceeded to tell us to take our item back to Canoga and return it there as she won't accept it And walked away. Uh what?! Just WOW. I'm blown away that this woman is employed with such a BAD attitude. I shop at Marshall's a lot and I'm scared to go back to the store now. Might have to take my money elsewhere. Overall, a manager came up to the front and of course, accepted our return. I'm not done with this. You cannot treat people like this. I'm calling management tomorrow and corporate. Unfortunately my mother does not remember this employees name, but she was approximately in her 50s, and also based on appearance, she looked like someone that could potentially speak Spanish. She was wearing glasses and had short hair. It is very unfortunate I wasn't there to witness this, because I would not have had to resort to a Yelp review to let management know the kind of customer service this store provides to its customers. I am however thankful that my mother was perfectly capable of putting her in her place, since she also speaks perfect English. But I digress. I hope this review reaches management and talks to this employee before they find themselves in far more trouble over a statement that is rather spicy considering the situation this country is facing at this point in time. Parking is usually packed and you may end up parking on the streets of the local neighborhood. However if you have donations I'd drop them off at the door THEN find parking. There are often 3-5 tag colors for sale. However most of the items you select will conveniently be a label color off sale. The workers must have paper cuts from as often as they change the tag colors. Come expecting to spend at least an hour if you're on the hunt for something specific. They often have a good variety of purses and shoes. I mainly purchase small home decor items, workout clothes and furniture. I found a gigantic lightweight canvas in the art section that I just love. And I'm constantly checking the vinyl section for gems, all of which are typically $3 or less each. Take a second to view the jewelry counter, you may find some nice earrings behind the glass or costume jewelry hanging up. All the "good stuff" is located behind the counter. That includes items like video game consoles, "luxury" bags, sealed items, cameras and lenses, smaller electronics, instruments, etc. Apparently they're open on Sundays now which is new and still pretty calm since I don't think many people know about it. A lot of the workers are mainly Spanish speaking so do not be offended if they don't answer you right away, they will quickly locate someone bilingual to help.
