We tried two new items for us tonight, the cheese steak sandwich with clear soup and Cajun fries. Amazing. Can't go wrong with this classic. And the wedge salad was beautifully presented and everything was fresh and mouth watering. I will also ALWAYS brag about this places Brussel sprouts they are literally THE BEST. Tonight a 4 star, normally 5 star. Maybe it's an off day Sunday night. My usual go to was a little disappointing the pita and spinach artichoke dip. The seasoning was definitely changed or just plain wrong tonight. I'm still whining about it. The delivery just didn't work out tonight, clear soup was spilled in the cheesesteak box I think it was too hot for the packaging the top was misshaped... and salad missing the dressing. Shrug small things, sort of, but disappointing and door dash took care of it. Besides this place knows they've got us hooked with those Brussel Sprouts :P

Once again my wife and find ourselves at Tap Room . We love it here and tonite tried one of the new entrees, the short rib pappardelle, quite tasty. Actually reminded me of my mom's Salisbury steak, which is a good thing! Looking forward to trying more of the new entrees , oh by the way we finished 1st place in trivia.

Went with my family on a Thursday night for their 20 wings for $20 special. We had a great time! Their beer selection was extensive, and the garlic sesame wings were incredibly tender, with a savory, slightly sweet flavor that hit the spot. We also tried the Jameson whiskey burger, which was decent, but we couldn't really taste the whiskey sauce. On the other hand, the bleu cheese burger was a bit better, with a rich, tangy bleu cheese that added a great depth of flavor. The truffle fries that accompanied each burger were absolutely delicious, crispy on the outside and packed with that irresistible truffle aroma. The Brussels sprouts were also a hit, perfectly roasted and glazed in a honey sauce that was downright delectable, adding a touch of sweetness to their natural nuttiness. Overall, a satisfying experience with some standout flavors!

Why I'm not rating it higher: I made the reservation 2 weeks before Mother's Day, the only thing available was a 10:45am so I took it. They called me two days before to confirm and said they had a 1:30 available, I started asking questions about the food more being suited toward lunch or breakfast, a bit snippy they put me on hold, I txt my wife quick and she said take the 1:30, the woman gets back on the phone and says sorry someone on the other line just took the 1:30... On top of that, my damn car decided to up and die, so I've been bleeding money on Ubers just to get to and from work. I even had to go into work on my day off just to sit around waiting for the tow truck so they could junk it. Love that for me. After I handled business with the junkers, I said eff it and headed to Whiskey Neat. I was starving--no breakfast, running on fumes--and since my job's in Patchogue, I figured I'd finally try them for lunch. First of all... happy hour on a Saturday from 12-6?! Uhhh hello?? In my Angelina from Jersey Shore voice. And if you pay cash, you get the discount. Say less. They've got a fabulous small plates menu. I started with the French onion soup--ooey gooey mozzarella, cheese pull was undefeated. Soup was delicious too. I haven't had French onion in ages and it really hit. Then I had the pulled pork slider, which was really good, but BABY... those short rib croquettes? To. Die. For. I also had to get my classic deviled eggs. A little heavy-handed on the paprika, but still solid. Drinks were half off, so of course I indulged. Started with an espresso martini because I needed something to jumpstart my day. Then I had a French martini because duh--I'm a French girl ‍. That one was good. Finished with my classic cosmo. Not gonna lie, I've had better, but it did what it needed to do and helped me forget my troubles for a couple hours. Also great playlist of music. I got there and they were playing Ska. Love me some Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Mixed with some Motown and Bob Marley. Made me remember the good old days.

After a difficult time trying to decide, I went with the Corpse Reviver No. 2 which is a delightful mix of London Dry Gin, Lillet Blank, lemon, Cointreau & absinthe rinse. It tasted like a light, fine lemon drop. We had already eaten but the menus all looked like they were filled with great options. We will create an UYE here..possibly even for a weekend day soon. They offer a very palatable HH and it would be great to return with a group of Yelpers soon.

Came here on a Saturday night for a private dinner party followed by some drinks at the bar. Off…read morethe get go, customer service was great and offered a coat check free of charge for my jacket and umbrella since it was raining, definitely helped make it feel just a touch more upscale than your usual restaurant. Our wait staff was nothing but kind and patient with our moderately large party and checked up on us without being overbearing. Ambiance is very cool, and definitely leans into its classic and nostalgic feel of its name, but not in a campy way. If you bring a date here, they would be impressed by the nice tile and wooden features alone, but it's the food that is really going to blow them away, but we will get to that next. The menu and cocktails do rotate seasonally a bit, so your experience may vary on availability for some items, but if you come back often enough (and spoiler, you will want to), you'll see them comeback! We started with Caesar salad, calamari, and Korean fried wings with the easy standout being the fried wings, a bit spicy but delicious but buyer beware they are messy (don't worry though, they give you moist towelettes to clean yourself off), calamari was cooked exactly how it needed to be and not rubbery, and the Caesar salad was as good as I've had it anywhere (although there's was made with tahini, giving it a little sesame flair). For mains, we had a pesto pasta, steak frites with an au poivre sauce, with sides of jersey asparagus and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked just right and I'd dip almost anything in that sauce, and the pesto pasta was a nice lighter and herby balance to the meal. Fries were perfectly crisp shoestring style and the other end of the potato spectrum was the delightfully smooth mashed potatoes and gravy. Asparagus has always been my favorite green, and adding a cream sauce with bacon only makes this version of it that much more enticing. Capping off with dessert, we had the chocolate Basque cheesecake, a brown sugar pie, and a pistachio cake. Choosing a favorite out of these is like choosing a favorite child I'm sure, but I am still craving more of that cheesecake, RUN do not walk to get that at the very least. Parking can be crazy in patchogue, there is a small attached lot and some street parking, but I'd advise using one of the municipal lots nearby and walking a little bit for your own sanity. One of my favorite dining experiences in patchogue to date, and will be happy to comeback here to try more of the menu for any occasion!

Brunch is also a good time to come with a limited menu so you're not overwhelmed with a little of everything on it. I tried the salmon caesear salad which was light with a nice dressing. We also tried the pancakes which were fluffy and delicious, as well as the steak and eggs (can't go wrong). Bottomless mimosas are also offered for $25 additional. I can't wait to do lunch/dinner here in the future.

It was raining when we went but the outside looked like a great place to be. There was one spot where you can shelter from the rain and they hung an upside down Christmas tree in it. The place offers live music occasionally and has a ton of space both indoors and out back to hangout, both with TVs in case you have any sport viewing you want to do as well. I definitely recommend the outdoor area if you've got a nice enough night for it. The drink variety won't blow your pants off, but it's got something for everybody and at prices that won't blow your pants off either. Although I didn't get a chance to try any of the food, from what I saw though it looked like good bar fare, and I in particular was eyeing the pizza. There's no dedicated parking lot, but there is some decent parking along the side streets nearby that shouldn't give you too much issue. This place is a nice change up from the typical scene you see a long main street. It might not be the loud and club like vibe you might be looking for, but for me that's quite alright.
