All breading for filler besides what little crab actually fell in when they waved it over the mixing bowl.

Thos place once had the best crabcakes in Charles Village. I just spent $50 feeling nostalgic and ordered my favorite from them only to be so disappointed I'll never order from them again. Sad but a learning experience.

We went to this restaurant because it was across the street from the hospital and we had just had an end of life meeting we needed to eat. Unfortunately we were not greeted in a timely fashion nor was it pleasant we overlooked that thinking we were just in our feelings we ordered two wraps one shrimp salad one buffalo chicken needless to say it took 30 minutes for waitress to come back to the table the fries were cold and the cold food was hot and the hot food was cold. Not a welcoming experience at all. I don't know if the food was good we paid and took it home. when have you ever received food that you specifically stated you were eating in wrapped in foil.. gave take your food and go vibes. I will not be going back to this establishment ever

Since the bridge fell down, it's no longer a hop, skip, jump to Glen Burnie for us. This is a problem because Little India Cafe is located on that side of the river, and that is where Jeremy's favorite butter chicken dish is made. So now we're on a mission to find a new Indian place that has outstanding butter chicken. Straight off the bat, let me tell you that Jetemy almost immediately declared this "isn't it." So our mission continues. I'm okay with that. I love trying new places, no matter the reason. Personally, I found the butter chicken lovely. A little heavy on the tomato base flavor, but full of tender chicken. The rice was perfection. Though I could have done without the pea garnish. The mango Lassi was very good. We always wish for a larger serving of that. The restaurant itself is quirky. It's billed as a soda fountain but doesn't really give 50s vibes. It's more... art deco, kinda 20s -esque with relaxing piano music that gives me memories of a time and place I haven't experienced in this lifetime. It's oddly comforting. Service could have been better, as we were not given menus, or straws. But we knew what we were getting before we even set foot in the place. Thanks, yelp. Fun and slightly weird, which is where I enjoy myself the most, so I recommend you check it out.

Creamy sauce and great rice. Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Right across from Union Memorial and close to Hopkins.

Tambers is always a solid lunch option with easy to-go options as well as dine in. Service is also always fast and friendly! It's definitely more of a hole-in-the wall place but it hits the spot every time. I normally get the crispy chicken wrap and fries but coworkers get an array of items from sandwiches, wraps, and salads to butter chicken and chicken tikka masala and love it. The menu is large and has something for everyone.

One of the most delicious bacon cheeseburgers on this side of town! So fresh and tasty. Don't forget the sautéed onions!

Looks decent, tastes bad. Also overpriced. One of the only choices near Hopkins so a lot of students go there.

Good Indian food. Not the biggest fan of their diner food though, I'd stick with the Indian. Masala is delicious and the nan is great.

I noted with some amusement that they sent new staff to serve me, and I figure that's fine, I'm closing in on 5000 Yelp reviews, I'm a veteran at this. I ordered slightly unconventionally, getting a spread of dumplings and a side of dal with some bread. The momos were delightful in texture. They way the were served with sauce in between them rather than on the side was a little unconventional, but the end result worked well. My dal was richly flavored, with a fresh tadka clearly evident on top. The bread wasn't quite enough to mop up the whole thing, but I don't mind just eating straight lentils from time to time with a spoon, so ultimately this meal was a winner. I would be more than happy to return.

Was this the greatest Indian meal ever? Absolutely not. Was it decent? Let's call it a…read moreparticipation trophy. As a solo diner, I was promptly seated, which was a great start. The restaurant was more than half empty, so I figured I'd be in and out like you expect at a downtown restaurant when you're dining alone. Well, that was wishful thinking. The service was slow as hell. It took forever for the shrimp to arrive, and then, when I was ready to leave, the check apparently needed to complete a spiritual journey before reaching my table. Empty tables everywhere, but somehow time stood still. I ordered the tandoori shrimp, which came with rice and tikka masala sauce, along with a mango lassi. Dinner sorted, right? Well, sort of. $25 for five pieces of shrimp felt like I had personally sponsored the shrimp's retirement fund. And the tikka masala sauce? So bland, I'm pretty sure the spices were still waiting for their flight to arrive. Naturally, I needed more protein, so I ordered the tandoori chicken. It was, once again, pretty mid. I asked for medium spice and received a level of heat that made me question my life choices. Medium should not feel like a personal attack on your taste buds. The chicken also had burnt edges, adding a little charcoal garnish to the experience. And here's the real kicker: despite serving chicken spicy enough to make me see my ancestors, my water glass was never refilled. Not once. Apparently, hydration was an optional upgrade. I skipped the rice and tikka masala gravy with the chicken because, honestly, I had already given that relationship a chance. By the end, I had spent around $50 before tip for a very mediocre dinner. That's not a meal. That's a small financial setback with a mango lassi. The location is convenient, though. I was staying at the Waterfront Hotel, and it was just a short walk away, which was probably the highlight of the evening. And to the restaurant: folks, please do better. Winning awards and putting up posters is great, but a wall full of trophies doesn't automatically make the food top of the line. The food has to do some of the heavy lifting too. This meal was pretty far from top of the line. And if you're looking for a quick, reasonably priced downtown dinner, be prepared to bring some patience, your own water bottle, and possibly a fire extinguisher. You might finish your meal before the check even begins its journey.

It's not that it was bad necessarily, other places nearby are just better in my opinion. We ordered two chicken tikka masalas, garlic naan, and paneer pakora. I was disappointed to see, upon returning home, that they only gave us one side of rice for two orders of chicken tikka. That seemed a little strange to me especially since each order of chicken tikka was almost $20. The sauce had nice flavor but the chicken was tough and didn't fall apart like others I've had in the past. I would've preferred butter chicken but couldn't find it on their menu - maybe I just overlooked it or they have it listed under another name? The paneer pakora was OK, the breading was super thick and not crispy enough. The mint cilantro chutney it came with was unexpectedly spicy. I can handle my spice but I've just never had green chutney have that much of a kick to it. I didn't try the naan but my boyfriend said he's had better. All together it was $60 which seemed a little steep for what we got. The inside is surprisingly cute though and they do offer a lunch buffet. Would I return? Probably not just given the other options in the area.

The name "Sangam," which means "meeting and getting along," evokes the spirit of mutual trust inspired by a classic Indian film of the same name. This romantic notion sets the stage for a delightful culinary experience. Upon entering, you might not find opulence, but the restaurant exudes a cool, neat vibe. The ambiance is unpretentious, with two diligent South Indian girls serving food with a warm smile, creating a welcoming environment. The menu is a treasure trove of South Indian dishes, many of which may seem unfamiliar, especially for those from a Punjabi or Pakistani background. Though the choices can be overwhelming, the restaurant is particularly renowned for its Masala Dosa--a must-try for any visitor. Here are some of our favorite selections: Sukha Goshat: A flavorful dish reminiscent of bhuna meat, prepared with an array of spices, served alongside naan or paratha--perfect for a satisfying meal. Biryani: Their biryanis are noteworthy, bursting with rich flavors that stand out. Appetizers: We often start with Chicken 65 or Fish Chilli. The tangy, spicy Chicken 65 has a unique flavor that distinguishes it from typical offerings at Indian restaurants. If you ever plan to visit Sangam, I'd love to join you for this delightful culinary adventure!

Couple of us had mango lassi sparkler - we enjoyed it and one ordered a non-alcoholic mango lassi and ended up not enjoying it - too yogurty for her. For the appetizer: chicken momo (dumpling) and samosa. Not bad! Main meal, I had the mixed platter which was very plentiful and flavorful, butter chicken mild and medium spice for two of the gals, and finally shrimp curry medium for the 4th gal. We highly recommended the very garlicky naan . The only negative I would say is that they were going to charge for extra sauce for my mixed platter. Ambiance was ok but a tad dark.
