Can't go wrong with the lechon or the pansit. Or they're chicken inasal, or the skewers. Lawd everything's bomb here

Food was great . Service was awesome . The place is clean, desserts were spot on as well. Maybe need a new location in Mesa ?so other Filipinos will enjoy the food more . Suggestion: add another restroom so people can eat while food is warm and not waiting in line . read more

I am always down to support my fellow Filipinos and this place I found on Tiktok or Instagram, one of those social media apps and since moving to Arizona, I have been back here quite a few times and each time was a good time, food was amazing and service was top notch. Took my dad here the other night without any recommendations. Walked in and it looks like it was an old Korean bbq place so my expectations went down very quickly. Was I ever wrong, our server explained the menu to us and made two recommendations the chicken skewers and pork belly. Oh my gosh absolutely fantastic. We are finishing our dinner and the owner comes out and recommends desserts which topped the meal off perfectly. Not much on ambiance and no alcohol but the food is inexpensive and absolutely fantastic. We will return and I highly recommend read more

5 stars for service. 3 stars for food. Loud family style food. Not truly authentic. Cannot taste peanut in Kare Kare with lechon. Not banana catsup for egg with egg plant. BBQ pork is not sweet enough read more

Charming Filipino restaurant with a large menu. Got a bunch of items on the menu and most of them were good.

Everyone was so nice and welcoming here which is refreshing. This was my first time trying filipino food and they did not disappoint! We started with the pork lumpia , served with the most flavorful sauce, definitely home made. For entree I had the pork adobo and paired it with a fresh mango juice. So delicious! There is a small store inside the restaurant with different snacks. The restaurant itself is simple , spacious, and homey. read more

We don't eat filipino food often but definitely wanted to try this place out. We originally went here to purchase a gift card for a friends upcoming birthday party, but sadly, they do not sell GC's. Since we were already there, we opted to stay. We ordered a family platter and it was more than enough for our family of 4. Everything was very good. We would definitely come back again to try other items. Very friendly people and it was crowded during lunch. read more

The food was incredible, I couldn't stop eating! Everything was flavorful and delicious. The service was friendly, and I appreciated the variety of Filipino desserts available for purchase at the register (note: these are cash-only). However, they do accept cards for dinner payments. There was plenty of seating, and while it looks like the building used to be a KBBQ restaurant, some tables still have built-in structures that block foot space. Not all tables had this issue, and it wasn't a big deal for me. I'll definitely be back the next time I visit Arizona! read more

I ordered the Dinuguan Plate, which was supposed to come with rice and 3 lumpia, but I only received rice and dinuguan. The lumpia was missing. I also ordered Halo Halo and did not receive it at all. Very disappointed with the incomplete order. read more

Love the food here. Authentic Filipino food at its finest. So happy to have this option a mile from my home.

Food was delicious, I got the kare-kare and vegetable lumpia. Halo halo for dessert. Service was great. Staff was friendly and accommodating. went to Tambayan at 11 am by noon the place was packed. Amazing food and very reasonable, food was served for sharing. Service was excellent and fast. Karaoke is available at night. Will definitely visit this place again. read more

I only say these things because I want this spot to do well. We had the sisig and longanisa. I went once before and the feeling was also mid. Please stop using short cuts to the food quality and get organized. You should not serve white rice sprinkled with garlic and call it garlic rice. You should not serve four slices of cucumber with a drizzle of sweet chili sauce and call it cucumber salad. For people who know Filipino food, they will notice and say they've had better. For people who haven't had Filipino food, they won't remember it and won't be back. Please do better, we want you to stay around and to thrive! If things stay the way they are, we're worried you won't last. read more

This was the most authentic Filipino food experience that I have ever had. I went with someone who was a native Filipino and said that this is exactly what it feels like whenever his family gets together. The service is amazing. The ambience is great and there's karaoke every night. You literally can't beat a place like this. It's a must see if you're looking for good ethnic food in the valley. read more

Ordered the crispy pata. It came with a small cup of rice, soy vinegar sauce and cucumbers. It was plenty for 2!

So excited to try a new Filipino spot! Even better that it's closer to my daughter so she can pop in when she's homesick. Loved seeing the karaoke and sari-sari store when we walked in. Parking is a little tight but nice that there is a dedicated lot. We brought two Filipino food first timers with us and it was a great intro. We stuck with the basics for their first time and ordered veggie pancit, lumpia, pork skewers, sisig, and adobo. The portions are decent sized and was plenty for the four of us to share. Our server was very kind and helpful as well. Will definitely come back again to try more! read more

One of my favorite animated movie scenes shows a food critic taking a bite of food in a restaurant and immediately getting transported into his mother's kitchen when he was young and partaking of her delicious home cooking. Well, that is the same experience I had when I took a bite of my order (tortang talong, one of my favorite eggplant dishes) yesterday at Tambayan's soft opening. A refreshing glass of gulaman at sago drink was a perfect accompaniment to the meal, especially on that hot Phoenix summer evening; the drink evoked the exact flavors of gulaman at sago that I enjoyed in restaurants and sari-sari stores back in the Philippines. Speaking of which, the restaurant also has an actual sari-sari store within - an exact replica of one which you may find in street corners of big Philippine urban areas or small rural villages. The restaurant is very spacious, the decor has a very bright and lively "Pinoy" vibe, the service is very friendly, and a number of the tables are set up for grilling your own food if you like. I'm definitely returning very soon for more delicious food (and happy memories of home). read more

Dude. 100% Pinay American here. I am floored. The flavors are spot on. Prices are affordable. There is a mock sari sari store and karaoke...it's legit, okay? My daughter is PICKY. She ate the food. And even said it was good. This is the highest of compliments. Calamansi juice is a BANGER. Fast service. I felt like a true maamsir. Mobile POS system makes for efficiency. Pretty packed on a Tuesday night also. Will be back. Probably with my parents, lol. read more

Third time visiting and the food did not disappoint except for the plastic pieces left in the sisig. Didn't realize until I finished most of the plate that they were in there. Thought they were pieces of egg. My mom thought they were crab pieces. Decided to finish the plate anyway because why not! Food was that good. Then when we complained, my mom got a little excited about it and she was told to relax. Yikes lol. My mom also asked for extra ice for her water and we didn't get it until the food came. We had to actually go up to the counter to get it. Appetizers came at the same time the food did. They did comp us the sisig plate, so thank you! Some patrons decided to do karaoke which was great entertainment. Wished more people got up to sing but when they left, that was it. I would have loved to have gone up but my family begged me not to. The singing ability gene skipped me We also brought in some calamansi from our tree for the owners (they weren't there) for their personal use or to use whatever/whenever but were told that they had their own. So basically it felt like a "thanks but no thanks". We left it with them anyway. But not doing that again. All in all, place is great for food, but not really feeling the family/neighborhood atmosphere that you would usually feel when entering a Filipino home. Everything just felt rushed and not personable. Just go for the food! read more

A great little Filipino spot. I believe they have only recently moved in, as they were a food truck before. The space is roomy but somewhat dimly lit, I assume the interior will be updated over time. The food was quite tasty! My sisig was delicious and I thought my fiancé's skewers were also good. I didn't try it, but my friend told me his halo halo was also really great. I got the sago oloaman but found it to be incredibly sweet and syrupy, which was disappointing as it would've been pretty good if the sugar was toned down. The service was very friendly but unfortunately slow and with some hiccups. Orders were forgotten and were still slow to come out after reminding. Here's to hoping things improve as they adjust to brick and mortar! I would rate this somewhere near a 3.5 but will bump up to a 4 just because it is definitely one of the better tasting Filipino food establishment I've been to! read more

As first time visit, lets try it out turned into a nightmare. The seating waiter didn't go over anything about all you can eat buffet. poor service we ordered drinks and never got them, very clearly understaffed choas I counted eight lazy workers. The all you can eat wasn't stocked, the cook is lazy, looking over my shoulder and not getting food out. The milk fish was empty because I dont eat fish heads (she was waiting for me the last two to scoop them up), the cook kept looking over my shoulder while i picked out two small strips of fried milk fish, I looked at her, she had empty hands. The pansit was about 15% full and wasn't refilled during our visit. A lady customer was clearly vaping next to us, the staff pay attention to catering, then on site customer order then ignore everyone else. the birthday party drowned out any of our family conversation. The parking lot isn't big enough. The owner is stupid enough not to hire, train and get good people in for the mother's day weekend rush or for any busy day. read more

Great and amazing food but service lacks! The servers seemed super lost and confused. We ordered the family platter and it took over 1.5 hours to receive. I understand that it would be about 40mins to 1 hour but waiting longer than that is crazy. We were so hungry! No one came by to check up on us after receiving our food and we had to go up to the counter for water refills. The servers were just super unorganized. We even ordered halo halo for two right when we got our meal and they forgot to put in the order. (We made a bet that it would take forever and we were right). In total we were in the restaurant almost 2.5 hours which is ridiculous for dining out. Like I said, the food is great! Be prepared to wait, wait, wait so bring your patience card with you. I hope they can fix the service because this place would be a perfect five stars. read more

Overall rating: 3/5 Wait: 3/5 Arrival time: Saturday 12:30pm Food: 4.5/5 Order: pancit overload, pork adobo, bbq skewers, sizzling sisig, pork sinigang Service: 2/5 Price: 4/5 Worth it, would come back Tambayan Filipino Food offers a mixed experience. The food is undeniably delicious, with standout dishes like pancit overload and pork sinigang. However, the wait time was quite long, with our order taking an hour to arrive. The service seemed overwhelmed, with servers visibly stressed and rushing around. Despite this, the quality of the food makes it worth a visit, though I would suggest avoiding peak hours. Hopefully, the service will improve over time. read more

Great food We had the chicken and pork BBQ Plates and the Pancit Overload today. This is a new restaurant so there seemed to be a coordination problem with being seated and ordering of our food. This is probably the best Filipino restaurant I've had so far in the valley. Everything was awesome but the crispy pata took the cake! It's so crispy and yet soft and has the chew from the knuckle. The sisig was also a favorite and the whole family platter we got was perfect! It's the perfect platter to get some of everything. The stafff is soooo nice! They are open until 10 PM seven days a week! Love them! read more

Went to lunch with friends and ordered the Barkada Platter, Sisig and Sinigang. While it may have taken a little bit to arrive, it gave us time to chit chat. It was well worth the wait. The lechon was crispy, beef skewers were flavorful, the bangus was tasty with the vinegar sauce, pancit, garlic fried rice, bbq pork, lumpia and torta (eggplant) were enough to feed all 9 of us with food to take home. Servers were very friendly. Definitely want to come back and try the breakfast platter with longanisa, tocino and tapa. read more
