Take Tea an Afternoon Tea House located in Avon. I couldn't believe I haven't been here sooner. There is an abundant space for parking on either side. It is recommended to arrive prompt. We had the pleasure of being hosted by Nan. She told us then that she had recently listed her business for sale. I had heard that the business is now under new ownership and Nan will be staying on for the short term. We were provided sparkling juice and we had a choice of tea from an abundant of selections. I loved that each person had a stone trivet with Celtic designs for each's teapot. A 3-tiered tray was served for 2 persons. It came with pudding, cookies and chocolate, scones and an assortment of tea sandwiches. Nan also provided dairy free options! We mentioned on reservation that our party included dairy free persons. She most certainly delivered! Everything was great! We had the room to ourselves. She said she books the place in the way she wanted to have it. She was still conscientious of COVID guidelines and wouldn't pair another party close to another even though she could. She's so thoughtful! Everything tasted delicious. She regularly checked on us and even spent time to talk with us. I think business owners like her are what set business apart from others. So happy to have been able to make the visit while she owned it and I am looking forward to the legacy she leaves behind with the new owners. Hoping to visit again soon! read more

Had a wonderful time at this place. Have tea times set twice a day during the weekend. All food authentic and delicious. Be aware to only enter at tea times but overall definitely recommend. This place doesn't disappoint! They are open Thursday-Sunday and there are only two time slots each day that they take reservations for. 11 am and 2 pm. It is a two hour experience and it's such a fun time. They only open the door just a couple minutes before your reservation because they are making everything fresh. You are led through beautifully decorated rooms and seated at very comfortable chairs and tables. The flat fee includes a bottom less tea of your choice and they bring out all kinds of sweet and savory things to enjoy! It was worth the money! Our servers were amazing as well! Nann runs a beautiful tea shop! Tea is by appointment only, which is easy to reserve online. When reserving, it's important to note any food allergies/preferences at that time. I also asked for seating that could accommodate wide hips and was respectfully and easily accommodated. The service itself is wonderful. The menu is chef's choice and everything is tasty. My husband booked this as a Valentine's Day gift and it was an amazing experience. Great customer service by all staff - attentive, knowledgeable, efficient. There were tiny bites with a sparkling cider to get our reservation started. Tea list was extensive!! We enjoyed our picks of blends offered. The food was adorable and proportions were perfect. Went for lovely early afternoon tea. The service was good and really appreciated when the owner was able to come to the table to share where the food came from and more about the teas we were drinking. The ambiance is truly lovely and relaxing. Hopefully the mask to the table only can go away soon (Covid) and more info about the process when reserving would be helpful. They only open five minutes before your reservation only time but we never felt rushed. The food was excellent with a great variety given to us. It comes all at once not in stages. Very disappointing. While the tea was good, the food was very lackluster, lacking flavor and limited in content. The brownie pastry was dry. Also a lack of attention by the staff, maybe engage with the customers more, explain the differences in the teas. One thing for sure, ease up on the restrictions i.e come in with mask only to sit down and immediately take it off. I found the owner of this tearoom rather unwelcoming. I and my elderly mother arrived just few minutes before our booking to a locked door and were only begrudgingly allowed to use the rest room. While there was enough food everything had a very stingy measured feel to it. They were able to accommodate my uncommon food allergy, which I know isn't easy. All the food was explained when it came to the table. There is a large variety of tea to choose from and refills are available and included in the price. The tea itself is delicious.
