This place is so cute!! It's very trendy & bright. We came in to try their matcha, but they also serve a food and it looks Amazing! We will have to come back to try the food out. The matcha was absolutely delicious. I ordered the matcha (hot) with whole milk. It was soooo good bold, but smooth and a little sweet. My daughter ordered the Osmanthus tea and she said it was tasty and steep to perfection If you're in the area, you have to give this place a try. It has many to coffee, tea, and food. The service was great 10 out of 10.

Tatagi Coffee is a beautiful spot with a cozy but open concept and fantastic natural lighting. We were seated right away by a very welcoming host, and the view of the hills provides a perfect backdrop for a relaxed meal. The food was the absolute highlight. The Japanese-style mille-feuille pancakes have a unique melt-in-your-mouth texture that is really hard to find elsewhere; they are incredibly light and airy. I also noted but didn't yet try the omurice and tonkatsu, which are solid Japanese mainstays. We did have a small hiccup with the order; the ice cream for my kid was missed, and there was some confusion with the server when trying to correct the bill. However, the rest of the staff was so friendly and the quality of the pancakes was so high that it didn't ruin the experience. Definitely worth a visit for the atmosphere and those pancakes!

I went to the cafe around 3:00pm yesterday and it is a perfect place for grabbing easy snacks as fluffy pancakes and matcha We ordered the special set with one entree, drink and dessert The omelette rice paring with fried chicken was really really delicious and even my friend who rarely to have carbohydrates and he loved it We also ordered the hamburger steak but we felt the mashed potato was not our favorite because it didn't taste fresh The service is really good I highly recommended their fluffy pancakes and matcha latte The package is so airy and light and the matcha latte is very authentic and they match perfectly The whole cafe is very relaxing with Japanese vibe Parking is easy to find at street ( not rush hour )

Takagi Coffee | Coolest Japanese Cafe Vibes As we have different opinions on what's cool in LA, I just need to tell you the vibes from the moment you walk into TAKAGI, you just want to stay forever. The menu is filled with so many Japanese favorites from fluffy soufflé pancakes, layered parfaits, iced coffee jelly, matcha lattes, curry katsu and so much more. You want it all. Loved it so much and can't wait to go back.

Great coffee, and brunch food items. I got their Omurice and my friend got the Chicken sandwich! It was delicious and was in great portions. The waiter was fast and efficient and the ambiance was very well decorated and clean! I do however will say the prices here can be steep for some but if you want to splurge go on!

Nice ambiance, the service is great, all the staff was on top of everything. The food was delicious. Will definitely be back.

I came around 9am on a Sat and luckily it wasn't too busy. The staff was really kind and attentive. As far as the food, the chicken karrage was really good and the brown sauce it came with was delish. We really enjoyed the Japanese pancake too. Tbh the coffee was kind of mid, and I even got the daily special cold brew. Dog friendly outside on the patio! I'd come back for the food but not the drinks.

Immediately upon walking in my husband, son and I received such a warm greeting from the staff. Our server also greeted us with the kindest smile and she was so pleasant and attentive with us. We felt so welcomed and the restaurant is so cozy. I ordered the omelette rice and the Hojicha (japanese green tea) pancakes. The omelette with the Demi glacé was a perfect bite and the pancakes were so fluffy and had a great balance of flavor. I also enjoyed a cup of the premium roast coffee which is robust and smooth (I even bought a bag of coffee beans to make at home). We will be visiting again very soon!

What a nice and cozy restaurant. From the minute I walked in I felt so welcomed and comfortable. The staff were amazing! I of course had to try their Japanese pancakes. I ordered the strawberry pancake which came with fresh fruit (strawberries and blueberries), whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, chocolate drizzle and almond slivers. The pancakes were so light and fluffy. The presentation was beautiful. You can tell they take pride in making their dishes. The menu has a lot of great choices to pick from. Parking can be a bit challenging since it's all street metered parking. I will definitely be back to try more dishes.

Randomly found this place on the way home. Street/metered parking! Establishment is easy to find, clean, well lit. Server was still new, but she eventually caught her stride. She did know the menu and commented that our picks were crowd faves. Both drinks were good. I'd choose the coffee jelly over the match. Pancakes were as fluffy as can be. And the omurice was just perfect! They had a combo special for the omurice+drink+dessert for about $25 I believer. And that's saving about $3-5. Recommend!

Do they have any vegan food?

They offer a tofu salad, avocado toast, and their Japanese vegetable pasta may be vegan.

They allow dogs for patio-seating eating, but not in the restaurant (unless service dog I believe).

Not even 30 minutes later the whole place was packed. I ordered the Benedict Pancakes ($22) and the seasonal Biscuit souffle pancakes ($18). I also tried the Tonkatsu Curry ($16). For a drink I got the pot of Peach Momo Tea ($6). My benedict pancakes came out first. The souffle pancakes and the tonkatsu curry came out at the same time 30 minutes later. The benedicts weren't bad, but I probably wouldn't get them again. The yolk was solid and not runny and the pancakes were just normal flat pancakes, and they were kind of dry. The tonkotsu and the Japanese pancakes were way better. Both were very flavorful and nice and hot. For the tea pots you also get refills, so we got a lot to drink with that. For a two-person table, it was definitely too small to hold everything that we ordered. Luckily by the time the curry and the pancakes came out I was already finished with my benedict pancakes and was able to give it to them to clear out to make room for the other dishes. Service was good, the wait for the food was long but they were still attentive enough to get us what we needed. Once you get your food they try to get you out as quickly as possible since the longer it went the longer the wait outside was for a table. Overall it was a nice breakfast/brunch experience. It is a bit pricey, but some dishes are better than others. I would come back either for the Japanese pancakes or the curry. The tea was great too. I would probably skip the eggs benedict next time though.
