First time for me to come and bought food from this small Mom and Pop's type of restaurant. My friend said the food here are authentic and taste good so we tried it and bought a bunch of food to go! The place is small so expect longer waiting time during meal hours, it's clean, plenty of parking spaces. They close in between lunch and dinner time so make sure you'll be there during their open hours! Food were delicious, prices are moderate and I think the portion were okay!

Visited this restaurant for togo dinner. The portion was pretty big in reasonable price . We ordered beef noodle soup , fried tofu and shrimp fried rice noodle . And the price was $31.50 only! Love this place

Came here before the restaurant was not a big attraction, feels more like something from the 80s. However food was surprisingly good and authentic. We ordered to go today - a beef noodle soup and a braised pork rice. Portions are big and taste was the same good Taiwanese flavor. Noodle soup was still hot when we go the order home, which is 15 mins drive away. Beef was tender and soup was flavorful, just like what it's supposed to be in TW. Love the pork rice and then hard boiled marinated egg. Definitely recommend and will be our go to restaurant for a while.

As a Taiwanese American, I can't believe how authentic their food tastes!! They've got most of the Taiwanese street food items here: Taiwanese burger (割包), chicken roll (雞捲), oyster pancake (蚵仔煎), Taiwanese meatball (肉圓), and many many more! This will be my go to place for Taiwanese food from now on! The price is also very reasonable for this day and age. Highly recommended!

I was craving some taiwanese food and came across this restaurant on DoorDash. I ordered the pig ears/tendon/beancurd snack, ground pork and rice, pork's feet and rice, salt and pepper spareribs, and taiwanese spinach. Most of the food were delicious. But the batter on the salt and pepper spareribs was too thick for my taste and not enough meat. But it was still crispy when it arrived. The beancurd didn't taste like it was marinated like the pig ears and tendon were. Prices were normal too.

What I ordered. Note the C11.

The food was decent, but the Doordash order was wrong. After calling the restaurant to let them know, they insisted I ordered incorrectly. Attached is the receipt, the Doordash picture of the order, and then a snapshot of the actual soup. I just wanted resolution.

This style is like home cooking-not too salty or greasy and always good. We usually get take out and the service is excellent.

You never know what it is that day and it's like a game for us to see what we get. Our favorite is the tomato egg side but I am never disappointed by any of them. Our hands down favorite is the grilled chicken cutlet bento. I suppose grilled is a little misleading, it has a light crisp to it and it's marinated in some sort of tangy slightly spicy sauce. Sometimes I get an extra side of grilled chicken so baby bear can get extra protein. It's never too much; leftovers the next day go into waffles in the morning for a fusion-y brunch :) If we are feeling extra hungry, we'll add a garlic popcorn chicken side too. Dining in is also an easy casual option. You order directly through the QR code at the table and the food comes out pretty quickly. Toppings, utensils, water are on the side that you help yourself too. If you're good with that service model, it's fast and easy too.

Surprisingly, the normal Dan Dan noodles ("special sesame dry noodle") were quite bad. The beef and tendon noodle soup is not bad, decent for when I was sick. There is a "beef and tendon noodle soup" as well as a "beef only noodle soup" on the menu - you might think the beef only one would be better value and have more meat, I ordered both to see the difference - even though the meat only one does have more meat, the meat is more tough and very hard to chew. So the beef with tendons soup has way better texture and more tender meat pieces

After placing our order, the food came out relatively quick. We ordered 2 beef noodle soups, the works, and 2 beef rolls. Starting off with the beef rolls, these came out cold. I heard that this is what this place was known for. The meat in our rolls wasn't even lukewarm and the pancakes came out super soggy almost like they didn't even try. Please tell me how the pancake look brown and crispy on the outside and still comes out cold and not crispy at all. My nephew even said they weren't crispy and he's 3. The lady told us that the sauce on the inside was salty and that's why they don't give extra and man was she right. 1/5* The beef noodles soup itself flavor wise was good and portion wise it was good for $21, but my noodles had no chew to them at all. I was attempting to pick them up with chopsticks and they would just break into pieces. They do give a decent amount of beef though in this. 2.5/5* for the flavor but don't expect much from the noodles. Same thing went for the works, it was a peanut buttery sauce that the lady claimed wasn't spicy, but my parents noticed that it had a kick to it even though they asked for it not to be spicy. The egg is a nice touch but not too sure if it's worth the price. Noodle consistency was the same as the beef noodle soup. 2.5/5*

Pretty unprofessional IMO For a takeout, having you not pay right away and having you pay at table is a predatory practice that encourages excess tipping as well compared to other counter service restaurants (think Mcdonalds) Food was alright; not too salty. P balanced. Pig ears had good woody spices and seaweed had solid garlicky sea flavor. Fish was light and soft with scallion ginger aromatics. Tofu quail egg was just sweet sour. Sauce bit watery. Rice porridge was lowk great depression food (Hella water, a few sweet potato pieces saving it by a bit) Good if it was 35% less. Prices have been going up over the years where only the monthly special is enticing for the value. Servers were friendly and checked in on us, but it took 25 minutes for our food to show up at our table after we ordered. The only consistent experience I've had are the oranges at the end of the meal. They are always amazingly sweet, juicy, and comes off the peel easily. It is a bit of a dumpy place right next to a gas station, across from an empty strip mall shop area! We weren't even sure the restaurant was open when we got here. We were asked to pick any table - mostly booths. There's a QR code to scan and place your order. After peruse quite an array of items we picked the ma po tofu and the beef with onions. Service was minimal- we weren't even sure presented with 2 cups and a carafe of water to start. Our order arrived and we got a complimentary seaweed miso soup. Soup was quite good with real seaweed - not the dehydrated stuff in some Japanese restaurants. Surprisingly the food was delicious! The ma po tofu was very authentic. There's schezwan peppers or Mala in it but it was not overpowering that it numbs your tastebuds! The tofu was soft and silky. The beef had good flavor and balanced the meal out. Beef was tender. Overall we enjoyed our meal. Will definitely come back to try other dishes on the menu If you're not familiar with traditional Chinese entrees the menu can be quite daunting and a turn off. However I can honestly say this restaurant is just as good as the best Hunan/Sichuan food from the San Gabriel area. This used to be a different Sichuan dry pot restaurant that was so so and I really haven't gone back since the new one opened up. The name is also really misleading because many Taiwanese restaurant use Grandma as the name. As a foodie this restaurant is legit. It's in a small plaza shared with another Taiwanese restaurant so parking can be difficult but there are plenty of street parking right next to the restaurant. The interior is clean and well organized. The service is prompt and good enough. They ask for reviews but didn't promise some freebie for a semi fake 5 star review which is great. I never leave a good review just for a freebie because my integrity is way more expensive than freebies. The food is phenomenal and authentic in every way. The frogs are tender and the spices are not overwhelming and brings out the flavor of the frog meat just right. The cured pork (pig face meat) is very rare in the states. It's also cured properly to give the authentic hunan flavor. They also mix it with raddish slices which is also rare in most Chinese restaurants here in the states. Even the conch with bamboo shots surprised me in how thin the slices of the conches are. It's also flavored without being too spicy nor too salty. Everything is on point. I do wish they used better white rice but that alone is not enough for me to take off any stars. This is just a wonderful restaurant that's on par with my favorite hunan restaurant in San Gabriel and I'm so glad I found it because I'm sure going to go back every week now.
