So delicious and such a wonderful warm inviting place to enjoy friends, family and company at. The service here is always top notch! My 98 year old mom loves this place so much! Figuring how many different Chinese Restaurants she has been to over her life she says this one is the very BEST! (Please see picture below) We have been coming here for years and have always had very delicious food. Ming and her husband take such pride in their restaurant that it shows in their delicious food and wonderful service! Great place!

Soup comes with the lunch special

I shared a lunch special black bean fish filet with my son. It's $20.50 before tax and includes a cup of soup, salad, your choice or fried rice or chow mein , and an entree. It was a good portion of food! Even though I shared with my toddler, I still ended up with leftovers! Everything was pretty good and to my surprise I especially loved the salad! It was so refreshing and had bits of chicken in it too. The chow mein also wasn't super greasy which I appreciate. Service was friendly and quick.

Chicken corn chowder

Food was delicious and all flavorful! We got the Peking Duck, seafood medley, garlic broccoli, and chicken corn chowder. Service was fast and cheerful.

Dinner for 4 adults. The food was fresh and tasty. Our service was very quick. We had egg rolls, the Chinese Broccoli & Shrimp Special, Shrimp Fried Rice, Cashew Chicken and Mango Beef, the latter of which was my favorite--very tender beef, nice ripe mango. I might have been more adventurous had I been with different dining companions, but all the food was good. For me, the prices seemed a bit high for the portions--we had nothing to take home! Egg rolls were excellent but small. We were not offered chop sticks (none of us are Asian) but I'm sure they would had been provided if we asked. Although we were served the traditional fortune cookies at the end of the meal, we were surprised not to have been given a pot of tea with our meal--how much would that have cost, 25¢ maybe? I don't understand people saying this is a "hole in the wall." It's in a nice location and it's a typical Chinese restaurant with very nice traditional decor and a variety of seating options. It's a BISTRO, not Fung Lum.

Szechuan prawns, hot and sour soup, veggie fried rice

If you're looking for a genuine, delicious, local Chinese restaurant, this is the place! They have a great vegetarian selection of dishes. We had the hot and sour soup, veggie fried rice and Szechuan prawns. The service is fast and personable. We will be back often!

Just yards off the main drag in toney Los Gatos you'll find this delightful small restaurant serving up big flavours and a big menu of traditional homey Chinese comfort cuisine. Quality of the food and execution of the dishes at Taba Taba Bistro are top notch. Hot and sour soup was excellent, extremely well balanced in flavour, full of bamboo and tofu and all the brilliant ingredients and seasonings this soup should always have. I could eat a double size bowl, it was that good. Egg fried rice, packed with equal amounts of egg and veggies as it was rice, was very good. Snapper fillets in black bean sauce lunch special comes with a serving of rice, either white or brown. Fish was cooked perfectly, sauce was fragrant and savoury, as I thoroughly enjoy the fermented black bean base, which complements perfectly vegetables and fish. Plenty of onion pieces and large chunks of bell peppers, mostly green but a few red ones too. Service is relatively friendly, not the typical grumpy vibe you encounter in similar restaurants deep in the downtowns of large metropolises. They comp'd Yelp pal Steve a bowl of soup, owner said "on the house". All in all, Taba Taba China Bistro is a solid spot for delectable Chinese food any time of day and any day of the week.

We were a group of three, so we went ahead and got the dinner for three. EVERYTHING was perfect and fantastic. since it was our first time eating here the dinner for three gave us a good selection of the dishes we usually order when trying a new Chinese restaurant, like our baseline stuff. The only thing we agreed could have been a little better was the cream cheese wonton were a little too rich, a LOT of filling, and it was so good, we almost filled up on those. Stiil, no regrets, right? I have to tell you the Mongolian Beef was so good... like I can't begin to explain to you how perfect it was, the pepper level was perfect, warmed my sinuses right up. They did not bring us one thing we did not agree was awesome. We were very full and very happy when we left! PLUS our lovely waitress, who was super friendly and took great care of paying attention to when we were ready for the next wave of dishes, (this is a rare talent these days and she was very good at it), told us they are open for Christmases, so we know where our Christmas dinner will be this year!

I can't say enough about how consistently good the food has been here every single time we visit…read more As vegetarians, we especially love that they have a whole separate veggie menu with so many options to choose from. The drunken noodles and fried rice are always packed with flavor, and the fresh spring rolls are such a refreshing starter. This time we tried the Taiwanese bamboo shoot dish from the Chef's Recommendation section. It was definitely spicy, though not quite as fiery as the last time we had it. Maybe they toned it down a bit... or maybe we were braver last time We also ordered the Khao Soi, which was pretty decent. Fewer sides compared to some other places, but still really tasty overall. And honestly, one of the best parts? You can bring your own alcohol to enjoy with dinner, and there's no corkage fee Overall, such a great spot for vegetarian Thai food!

Worst service ever…read more My friend and I were dining at Golden Triangle when, in the middle of our meal, an older lady server came to our table and told us we had 30 minutes to finish our food or move to another table. This was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. We were paying customers actively eating our dinner. Being rushed in that manner was disrespectful and completely unacceptable. I have never been treated this way at any restaurant. At the end of the meal, I made it clear to her that her behavior was wrong and that customers should not be treated this way. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.

You place your order through a QR code, which makes the process quick and easy. This visit, we ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings, Tidu Sliced Beef Pot, and Tianjin Eggplant. The wings are a must-order here. They're always perfectly fried and crispy on the outside while still staying juicy and tender inside. The Tidu Sliced Beef Pot reminded me of a dry hot pot. It had a great mala flavor with a subtle numbing sensation, and the peanuts added a nice crunch and texture to the dish. The Tianjin Eggplant was simple but delicious, with flavorful pork that paired really well with the soft eggplant. Overall, the food here is comforting and satisfying. It's in a busy complex, but there was enough parking. When I walked in, I noticed they had a half-empty dining room but a ton of to-go orders wrapped up, including mine. I really loved the Mongolian beef, and the eggplant dish we got was good too. The chow mein was good. I did like the cucumber salad, but it would be better if it were sliced smaller, so the marinade could infuse the cucumbers. Service was friendly. Food was very fresh. I did notice the portion sizes were generous and we had plenty of leftovers!

The steak was flavorful, the sauces complemented each other perfectly, and that classic sizzling presentation made the whole experience even better. I also tried the beef noodle soup. It leaned slightly on the sweeter side, but I actually really enjoyed it because the broth had so much depth and flavor. Compared to a lot of other restaurants where the soup tastes flat or bland, this one had a much richer flavor profile. Overall, the food felt comforting and nostalgic, reminding me of the Taiwanese sizzling steak houses and noodle shops I grew up visiting. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

It was solid, with good noodles, generous amount of pork, some fish cakes, veggies, and an egg. The broth was good, but not top tier. In a place that sells many types of dishes and doesn't specialize in ramen, I understand everything can't be best-in-class. The egg, though, was hard boiled and didn't have a soft center, which I like. That seemed like a bit of a shortcut to be honest. My wife ordered a sizzling dish and liked it - perhaps that's their speciality. Service was good, the inside was pretty typical - nothing fancy, but nothing missing either. Good overall, would come here again for convenience and because the food is solid.

I do wish they had a soup option for vegetarians but it's pretty hard to get a good veggie broth so it's understandable. what we got: cucumber salad (5/10 yums): I think the reason why I rate this so low is because of preference. I almost always get cucumber salad at restaurants. However, this cucumber salad was just a tad bit bland and had WAY too much cilantro. I usually do like cilantro, but it was way too much. hot and sour woodear salad (7/10 yums): Although I did enjoy this, I do feel like I've had better woodear salads before. This one had a strong lemon taste which kind of threw me off, but I personally liked the onions that went with it. chicken rice noodles (10/10 yums): my GO TO. I like how it is refreshing and not too oily or heavy. I love how there is an option for low salt, which I usually go for. We arrived around 12:30pm, and were seated immediately at the corner of the communal table. Service was bare minimal but efficient. We ordered via a QR code, and helped ourselves to the water already at the table. There's a self-serve sauce bar near the entrance as well. The restaurant wasn't too big inside and there was a short line outside while we're there. The line went away pretty quickly, though. Food came out within 10 minutes after placing our order. I had their Signature Free Range Chicken Big-bus Miishien Soup for the "crossing the bridge noodles" experience. The broth was piping hot and very flavorful. I put all the fixings and noodles into the broth except the cashew nuts and the chicken, which I put in right before I was about to eat them. The chicken was very lean and tender. I even ate the skin as there's no fat attached to it. I also loved the texture of the noodles. The mushroom was great, just too little of it. I wish they had used corn ribs or another vegetable as the corn kernels were very hard to fish from the broth. While it was a delicious and satisfying bowl of noodles, the "Big-bus" version was a bit overpriced. Our daughter liked her Small Pot Spicy Ground Pork Miishien Soup (Less Spicy), especially how the mini Chinese donuts soaked up the broth. I had a bit of her broth and ground pork, and it was yummy with just a bit of numbing spininess. We both liked their pickles from the sauce bar and at the table. My husband enjoyed his Small Pot Spicy Ground Pork Miishien Soup with free extra miishien as well. After selecting Checkout on Chowbus, payment was done via a staff who came by. I signed up for their rewards program when I ordered, and got 10% off. I would love to come back and try their spicy beef noodles. I noticed a promo sign outside the restaurant for some of their noodle dishes (@$12.99) from Monday to Thursday, during specific hours.
