We thought just one more chance. Nope! Not a chance of going back again. Whatever you do, do not order the $18.95 Rainbow Poke salad. Menu reads it comes with Spring Mix. Not even close. It was straight iceberg lettuce. Barely any fish. Total waste of money. Regretfully I didn't take a picture. Take my word for it. After I mentioned the lettuce, we were given the cold shoulder and treated accordingly.

Salmon Teriyaki; California roll; and an already consumed Crazy Roll

Delicious restaurant in downtown Los Gatos. The service was friendly and helpful too. We asked to sit in the outdoor area and found it to be lovely with the string lights. For dinner we had ikura nigiri, the California roll, the salmon teriyaki plate and the crazy roll -- the were all very tasty and fresh. Plus the price was great too! Highly recommend and will be back.

Delicious sushi in downtown Los Gatos at adorable prices. The service is always great and quick with orders.

We've been here many times & it's always good. There are many menu choices, our fav's are the Spicy Salmon Roll with green onion substituted for the lettuce and the Tijuana Roll with it's jalapeno & dab of Sriracha on top. There is indoor & outdoor seating plus service is quick and friendly.with background music of different types. It's a casual space with a mix of age groups, families, dates, & friends meeting up. If street parking happens to be limited you'll find parking in back or a huge parking lot two streets behind.

We stumbled upon this spot in Los Gatos and we're so glad we did! It's now our second time going and I can't speak highly enough of the service from all the workers, the warm ambiance, and fresh fish. We love sitting at the bar and the interactions we've had with the chefs have always been pleasant. They make you feel at home and welcome. Yokohama is definitely my new favorite spot now!

Sunday night, empty restaurant, I was the only customer besides some pick up and DoorDash orders. Service was not friendly, it took the waitress about four minutes to realize that anyone had even come in. The chef was focused on the meals he was preparing & chatted with the other employees in another language. I don't know, they didn't seem happy to have a dine-in customer and it showed in their interactions. The food was old, definitely not fresh, except for the lemon that came with the cucumber salad. However, on that salad, I found three hairs that did not belong to me. I ordered the taste of heaven and the red dragon roll. Both of which the fish did not taste fresh, slimey with an unnatural texture, and there was significantly more rice than anything else on the sushi rolls. It took considerable chewing to get through the taste of heaven. I was unable to finish the red dragon because I was starting to get a gag reflex from the taste of the fish and old or expired fillings and toppings. The role was falling apart on itself, rice had to have been old because it had lost all of its stickiness. The ambience definitely felt like it was a to go restaurant, but pricey. $55 for the food pictured including a small Sapporo and miso soup. Miso soup came at the very end of the meal, not what I'm used to as far as Japanese dining goes. The tofu in the soup was falling apart and slightly brown. This is the only time in recent memory that I have left a sushi roll un eaten. It might be better when the restaurant is busier, but I doubt it if they are leaving hairs in their cucumber salad with only one customer to tend to. Little attention to detail. Definitely wasn't from me because I had a hat on and I don't have black hair. Gross... 1/5

Bob's Brother Roll
Katie R.

I might've just found my new go-to sushi spot! From traditional rolls to specialty rolls, the sushi options were plentiful. So plentiful that it was pretty difficult to decide what to order. I ended up going with the Bob's Brother Roll, and what a great decision that was. This roll was HUGE and absolutely delicious. After eating it and some edamame I was stuffed. The fish was fresh and the roll was full of flavor. Came to dine in on a weekday evening and there was plenty of seating available both it and outside. We opted for inside due to the wind, but would definitely sit on the patio on a nice night. It wasn't crowded so the sushi came up in what felt like minutes. But the rolls were not hastily put together, everything was presented nicely and the rolls really stick together. Excited to come back here and try some more rolls!

Salmon Teriyaki Bento, scallop hand roll, Los Gatos hand roll

BEST PLACE EVER TO EAT!! All the food tasted really fresh, the fish didn't have any fishy after taste to it, tasted very clean and easy on the palette. I would 1000% recommend this place. The service was also very good. They were very friendly! Also the place was very cozy and calm.

Gypsy Roll
Ansley I.

Lived in Los Gatos my life and never came here. What a mistake! The service was quick and very nice. We got seated right away at a nice table and helped almost immediately. I ordered the Gypsy Roll and it was fabulous!!! The macadamia nuts are such a good add in the roll. My boyfriend got the Logan Roll with Hamachi inside instead of Salmon and the Hamachi Kamikaze roll. He loved both of them.

Their Sushi Combo is now $31.95 (outrageous)
Elena C.

Extremely disappointed with the Sushi Combo I got here for the hubby and I. First off, they seem to have significantly raised their prices. 10 Months ago, the Sushi Combo was $5 less than what they charged me today ($31.95). I know cost of living is going up, but that's a steep dump. Second, I was sad to see that they gave me two pieces of salmon. While the fish was good, I was sad to see the lack of variety. Lastly, virtually everything that came with the combo (with the exception of the miso soup) had an issue. The lettuce used for their salad was not fresh; the avocado in their Cali rolls was brown; some of the fish tasted old, and the tuna left an odd pink stain on the rice (I love tuna and have never seen this before). The worst part is their Sushi rice: it has zero flavor and falls apart when you pick it up. Very sad. I would have loved to support this local shop (prefer to shop small), but this was so bad, I won't be back.

Sunomono
Elisa G.

I was in desperate need of sushi so I asked if they were open and came in and sat at the sushi bar. I ordered a sunomono salad with real crab and a salmon hand roll. The sushi chef made it perfectly and threw in extra bonito flakes.

Orange blossom - why is the salmon pink?

This is the orange blossom role. Supposed to be salmon but it is pink. Is is correct?

One drawback is their seaweed salad. It isn't worth one bite. They used to have it perfect, but not the last few years. A very short wait and my order arrived, nicely presented. The rolls tasted fresh and were nicely constructed. I know veggie rolls are not a thorough reflection of a Japanese restaurant but sometimes places get these simple things wrong. The only thing I didn't prefer was that the rice vinegar taste leaned a little more sweet than I prefer. Despite that I had no problem with the meal. But next time I'll order something different. Service was excellent and very prompt. Prices were reasonable. $15 total for my two rolls. The ambiance is no frills/casual and I was fine with that. You can dine inside or outside. Dog friendly on the outside patio! I sat inside as it was pretty warm outside. Since they're on the main strip in downtown LG, you'll need to park on the street or elsewhere nearby as they don't have their own parking lot. If presented with the opportunity I would come back to try some other dishes.

We were 10 minutes late (saying goodbye to children) and the restaurant was pleasant. Thankfully, they were still taking in orders for drinks and had not started. It is much slimmer pickings than the sake, but enjoyed our sparkling wine paired with the kaiseki very much. The dishes were all excellent. The thing that lingered in my mind even till this day, a week after I am writing this review, is that umami flavor bomb chawanmushi with mosel mushroom and uni (never can go wrong with uni). The other thing that I thought took more skill, attention, and was unique to the chef's background was their dashi/broth. It was a complex of flavors from the sea that all paired well together. I thoroughly enjoyed every sip, and the flavors waking up all parts of my tongue. One more part - the meat dishes were not my favorite. They just do the seafood so well. Oh! And dessert, of course, the Japanese melons were as if it was dipped in fructose lol Ambiance is dressy and date-worthy :) the elderly ladies beside me were sporting their Birkens and taking pics of their food next to it

I liked their traditional izakaya decor inside. They also had a tatami seating area towards the back. We decided to go family style so that we could try more items on their menu. We ordered the Niku Trio Set, which included braised pork, grilled chicken wings, niku tofu, edamame, and shishito. The food came out really quickly. Other than the edamame, which was very bland, everything was very flavorful. The pork was very soft, and the sliced thin beef paired really well with the tofu in the niku tofu. Both dishes came piping hot, and were very comforting, like home-cooked food. The shishito peppers came with a lot of bonito flakes; they're charred very well and not spicy at all. Wings well nicely grilled, too. The seafood okonomiyaki was not bad. It's a bit softer than I expected, but had quite a lot of seafood. The large Deluxe Meshi was pretty big. It came in a hot stone pot with a generous amount of salmon, eel, flying fish roe and a poached egg. I loved how crispy the rice around the pot was. No wonder it's their most popular dish. The owner also gave us a small gift pouch with a set of Thai coasters, a chocolate and a complementary drink card as an appreciation for us making the reservation early. Coupe De Thai is also not a boring Thai food restaurant; their menu has some tasty and interesting dishes. I was blown away by their White Lotus Curry that was a piece of crispy skin branzino fish lay on a bed of white creamy sauce that tasted very coconutty and yet not spicy at all. The round lotus seeds under the fish was de-cored to remove the bitterness. Very interesting and pleasant! I almost licked the plate clean to take in every drop of the sauce. Their Mother's Day special was a surf and turf pad Thai which was also beautifully presented and very delicious. There are 3 large shrimps and slices of medium rare beef steak on top of a bed of pad thai with tofu and ground peanuts. The wall fish net decoration was a good topic for us. Their wine bar was beautifully lit and a nice background for pictures. Tully was also very smart to suggest us to take the picture before the crowd pours in. I ordered a zero proof Sawasdee Sunshine, which was ok but it was beautifully decorated.
