Drop it like it hot roll and Shrimp tempura roll
Chris G.

Crystal was my server and helped us with grace . Thank you sushi confidential. The place was closing and Crystal still had the patience to help us. Thank you again

Susan K.

If you want authentic or decent sushi, you won't find it here. We stopped by this place because of the high reviews and gluten free options but it was a complete disappointment. The prices were criminal for rolls that were average at best. The spicy scallop roll was borderline inedible; scallops were mushy and sadly plopped on top of each piece (literally looked like a dead jellyfish). Couldn't even pick up the sushi without it falling apart. The only remotely edible part was the spicy mayo. We will not be returning. There are plenty of better sushi spots that won't leave you feeling ripped off and nauseous.

My go to here is always the full certified crunchy crab roll or their dragon roll - seriously cannot go wrong with either one! For drinks we got the pistols at dawn and the scandal - would also recommend either one! The scandal was really light on the pear sake taste but was super good if you like aperol spritz! Hamachi spoons not pictured but absolutely so good!! Their salmon bombs are also amazing but decided against getting them tonight! Service was a 10/10! Love sitting outside here especially on the first warm night in a while! Great people watching and overall vibe :)

Mixed tempura appetizer
Stacy C.

I'm on a tempura kick at the moment so I decided to try delivery of Sushi Confidential. Ordered the mixed tempura appetizer and my favorite, gyoza. The restaurant was busy, understandable on a Friday night, so it took a while for my food to arrive. When it did, it wasn't as warm as I would have liked, but that's kind of expected with delivery. The mixed tempura was okay. There was quite a bit of it, which was nice. They also included two containers of dipping sauce and six soy sauce packets, which I appreciated. I didn't care for the pork gyoza. There was nothing wrong with it, just personal preference. It was also a bit expensive at $15.95. Most places around here charge less than ten dollars. I wanted to try the shrimp tempura roll, but my meal was already too expensive with just the two items, so maybe next time.

Salmon Mango Salad

Me and my friend stopped by Sushi Confidential in Campbell after Pilates and honestly it was a good choice. It was my first time there and our server Lucky was really nice and welcoming. He helped us with recommendations and made everything easy. The fish looked and tasted fresh. My favorite dish was the mango salmon salad, so good. Overall good food, good service, and I'd come back again.

Sweet Potato Fries

I'd heard a lot of good things about this place, so we went in with some expectations. It was a Sunday night, and the restaurant was nearly empty--no wait for a table, which was nice. We started with sweet potato fries, which came out quickly. Then we ordered three rolls of vegan sushi and some baos. As vegetarians, we appreciated that they had decent plant-based options with tofu. But despite the restaurant not being busy, the service was really slow. The baos took forever to arrive, and even the sushi took longer than expected. We had our 8-year-old kids with us, and they were getting restless waiting for food. Since the portions weren't very filling, we ordered sizzling vegetables with tofu, and--surprise--it also took ages to come out. While the food itself was great, the wait times were frustrating. To top it off, they automatically added a 20% gratuity for our party of six (four adults, two kids). The prices were already insanely high--both appetizers and entrees felt way overpriced. We ended up with a $200 bill, which just didn't feel justified given the service. Their sushi is good, no doubt, but they really need to step up their service if they're going to charge those prices and demand a 20% tip. Not sure I'd go back with this kind of experience.

Great service! Good sushi, diverse menu! Love then location of this restaurant, in the middle of downtown Campbell. They have cool patio with good shade and a handful of tables. The fish taste fresh and I really enjoyed my roll/bento box.

Chirashi Sushi

The restaurant service was quick at first, however, after ordering, the food takes a while to come. The waiter paused attending our table, everything takes a long wait. The food was not what I expected, love the name system, very creative. The food was mid. The restaurant is spacious and great for family dining. The price is quite expensive compared to other sushi restaurants in town

Food was amazing! The music was a little loud in the area we were sitting at, but overall, the service was great! The waiter was very attentive and checking on how we were enjoying the food.

Looking for a sushi place when we were in san jose last weekend. We came across the sushi confidential so why not and try. Kinda disappointed. The ramen specially the broth which the key of any ramen has a bland taste. Kinda disappointed with my order. The pork in my ramen is kinda over cooked the calamari is not freshly cooked. The suhi is good actually. Fresh and good. Overall i might not go back here.

Sushi Confidential Campbell aka Sushi Con! Solid spot and quality is always consistent. Have always had a good experience here while it is on the pricey side. Go figure for Sushi. Pro Tip - Happy Hour! Go to is the Geisha Girl roll and haven't been disappointed with anything I have tried on the menu! Here on a Monday and service / ambiance is solid thanks to our server Bailey! A staple on the strip for downtown Campbell!

It's a fun place to be for dinner. The prices are a bit much considering the size of the rolls. It was a decent spot. Our bartender was very kind. Overall decent experience

The meat was not even fully cut/separated before it was breaded and fried. Looked like a big chunk of calamari. No salt, horrible breading. Bad on every level. Gyoza - undercooked but fine. Sauce was vinegar, not what I would want or expect. 49er roll - ewww. They did not take skin off unagi, it was tough and chewy and all wrong. The rolls were ridiculously cut, fish was also cut inappropriately. I would argue there is no properly trained sushi chef in this location. Also the fish was not fresh tasting. Agedashi - NOT WORTH $15.00 - 4 small pieces, no benito flakes or nori and the sauce was off, it was not the correct serving sauce. Udon - broth was fine, noodles were fine - everything else, again, not edible. They must be getting the absolute worst quality chicken - it was tough, full of gristle and not handled with care, huge inconsistent chunks, it was not appetizing. Broccoli - what Japanese restaurant uses broccoli - but it was so grossly overcooked, it was mushy as were the other weird vegetables - mushrooms and zucchini - it was weird. We ordered two other sushi rolls - that were mediocre at best. Again large in size, so portions I suppose are good, but not when you can't choke it down. I would argue this is not owned or properly trained Japanese chef works here. But for the price of what we pay, I would hope a little more care and attention would be put into preparing the food and quality needs to improve. Not a fan.

Let me start off by saying: WE LOOOOOVE CARLOS!!!…read more In celebrating my daughter's 6th birthday, she made it known that dinner absolutely had to be "SHUSHI". What better place to wine and dine my little monster than Mizu??! I made reservations for 6 @ 5:15pm through OpenTable a few days prior. Upon checking in & arrival, a gentleman [whom I assume was management] asked that we be patient with service due to only having 2 servers on hand. Not sure if it was bad scheduling or if someone called out but we agree'd and hoped for the best. The Birthday Dinner Consisted Of: *Yellowtail Tartare *Dragon Roll *San Jose Roll *Rainbow Blossom Roll *Yellowtail Special Roll *House Boat Kitchen [substitute the beef bulgogi for teriyaki Salmon] *Miso Soups & House Salad *Mango Mochi Ice Cream [complimentary] Service was slow and not exactly attentive- even with the restaurant not being busy. There were a number of occasions where we just flagged staff for requests. Shout out to Carlos- this young man was always upbeat, mind, and very welcoming. He made every interesting a breeze and happily obliged with customers inquiries. REGARDLESS OF HIM NOT BEING OUR ACTUAL SERVER! Once dinner was over, Carlos stopped by to see if we wanted to order dessert. We slyly asked if there could be any singing for the birthday babe and he 100% made it happen- even if he was the only staffer to sing along with our party. 5/5 stars!!! This TY and review is specifically dedicated to Carlos. Our entire party appreciates your efforts and your high quality work ethics are undeniable. Thank you for making the birthday babe feel loved- she absolutely left the restaurant with warm, fuzzy feelings.

It has transitioned into a half-sushi, half-pop-bar concept that feels disjointed and lacks the authentic Japanese "vibe" it once had. Instead of a cozy dining atmosphere, the decor now feels like a generic bar you might find in an Asian metropolitan nightlife district--not exactly the setting I'm looking for when I want quality sushi. The Food The menu is now heavily focused on sushi rolls, but the execution is strictly average. For a place that has moved toward a specialist roll menu, I expected more punch. We also tried the Chicken Katsu, which was the biggest letdown of the night; it was incredibly dry, bland, and lacked any depth of flavor. It's definitely not their forte. Service & Value While the staff was fine, the pricing is quite steep for the quality of food and the "bar" atmosphere provided. You are paying premium prices for a mediocre culinary experience. Final Verdict Given the price point and the shift in direction, I won't be returning. There are simply too many excellent, authentic Japanese options in the surrounding area that offer better value and a more cohesive dining experience.

It did feel a bit cramped but fortunately I was just in and out. Service was great too! We got the Lion King and a sashimi platter. The lion king was SOOO good. I always get worried ordering this at new sushi spots because I feel like it can be a hit or miss (especially when they load waaay too much spicy mayo on it lol) - this roll had the perfect amount where it wasn't too overpowering.
