Tsukemen was really good! Reminded me of all the bars I went to in Japan for tsukemen and I was not disappointed by any part of my meal here. Service is a bit slow even when there isn't too many people in the restaurant, but besides that staff are nice and the inside of the restaurant is easy on the eyes. read more

Legendary Tsukemen Shop with sleek and stylish decor. The apps were decent as well, but their signature dipping ramen is where it's at.

Ate here with a party of five last Friday and was not disappointed. Our server Brian and the manager Ser took really good care of us during our dining experience, and ensuring our food came out one time and that all the flavors were to our expectations. We especially loved the wagyu mazesoba and the Niku spicy ramen! Will be coming back soon! Thank you Brian and Ser! read more

went to the soft opening today right at 11:30 expecting to wait a long time. pleasantly surprised to be seated within 20 minutes. they did a good job of staggering tables so the kitchen wasn't overwhelmed. food was tasty and for a first day opening, i was impressed! service was great and tables were cleared and reseated quickly and efficiently. my only critique was that the buckwheat noodles were slightly overcooked and lacked that really beautiful bouncy texture i think about an inappropriate amount. i don't doubt that they'll achieve that once they find their groove. so glad we no longer have to drive to san mateo. read more

I've tried a lot of ramen spots, and this one really stands out. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were perfectly chewy, and the toppings were fresh and well-balanced. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and fair prices. Highly recommend if you're craving a solid bowl of ramen! read more

The food was ok , but when I sit near by the door the girl was stand there and sprayed some thing like disinfectant to clean up the the front desk the place they were stand there to let the customers know the table was ready . And then when some one open the front door! The disinfectant flew in my mouth made me cough a lot. After I went home I feel like dirty or sore from my neck read more

18% pre-tax minimum suggested tips. Waitress brings credit card reader to you for you to pay and stands there watching you go through the whole payment process. Food is great. imo the noodles are reasonably priced in this area ($17~$21 as of 5/4/25). $12 for chicken karaage seems more expensive than other places. If you order the dipping ramen, you have to specifically ask them for the soup (last step of the Tsukemen) since the waiters don't offer. A little weird since it's literally their signature dish... You would think they would remind you about it since it's part of the meal you pay for. Service is average: friendly staffs. They ask if you need drink refill occasionally other than deliver food and remove empty plates and trash. Wait time is okay. Didn't have to wait in line when we were there outside of peak hours. read more

Came here the other night to see what the hype was about. Glad to say that everything was greater than what I had expected. Sitting down, my server Faith, went over the menu with me since it was my first time and recommended the Tokusei Tsukemen and the Niku Spicy Ramen. I ended up ordering the tsukemen since it is their signature dish with the kaarage and it was worth the wait. I was told all the noodles were made in house which explained why the texture of the noodles were perfectly bouncy yet chewy. The broth is almost like a curry but you can add a wari to make it lighter if needed! Overall, my experience here was perfect. Big shout out to Faith who made my time here enjoyable with her professionalism and sincerity. Will come here again for the food and the service. 10/10! read more

Outstanding Service from Brian! We had an amazing experience at this ramen spot, and a big part of that was thanks to Brian. From the moment we walked in, he was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food. He gave great recommendations, made sure everything came out perfectly, and checked in just the right amount--not too much, not too little. His service made our meal feel special. If you're coming here, ask for Brian--you won't be disappointed! read more

Ordered the Niku spicy ramen and per our server's recommendation, the habanero moyoshi to add more spice to the noodles. Really enjoyed the flavor and great service from Faith! Honestly 10/10 and highly recommend read more

I am so excited Taishoken is finally in the South Bay!! I have been to their San Mateo and San Francisco locations. The new Milpitas location is modern, clean, with great decor. I love their staff. Super friendly! And more importantly the food is excellent! I love how unique, and delicious their choices for appetizers, drinks and ramen are. Even though, it has the large California space, it feels like stepping into Japan through the flavors. Well done Taishoken Milpitas! read more

After about 15 minute wait outside, we were seated and ordered Tsukemen, Niku spicy, and a kids ramen. All 3 are good, I think the Niku spicy and the regular ramen are my favorite. The portions are filling, we took the Tsukemen home and we liked it better with the noodles heated. Service was nice, and food came out pretty quick. We enjoyed and will come back. read more

Checked this place out with my wife and sister-in law. Wait was a little long, so recommend adding yourself to the waiting list ahead of time. Chicken karrage was delicious, but we were a little disappointed with the tsukemen. read more

Food and service were good. Highly recommend trying the dipping ramen. A lot of parking.

First time trying Taishoken! Had their signature dish along with fried calamari. Food was great, but the service was even better. Johnathan was friendly, sharp and attentive. Definitely will visit again when the ramen craving hits. read more

Lovely restaurant and attentive service but food was just alright. My cousin and I both had Tokusei Ramen and we shared the Kaarage and deep fried Gyoza. The last one was probably my favorite. read more

The food was fine. Really more disappointed in the service and experience with staff. The host was amazing and very efficient. We were seated and asked our drink orders quickly. Despite the drink order being placed before the food, our drinks didn't show up till after our mains when we had to flag someone down and ask. A 1 top seated 10+ minutes after us was served their appetizer and main before we received our mains. We witnessed MULTIPLE employees from the team walk over and check on this customer. Repetitively ask if he needed anything but we had to flag employees down every single time we needed something. The food busser also just shoved plates on the table and set them down with a decent amount of force, bit disruptive to the meal and people at the tables. When we asked our waitress at the end of the meal why the man next to us had such superior service compared to us we were met with a "I noticed other people going to check on him too, so odd but I'll tell my manager". She apologized but it just fell flat. Overall wouldn't return due to the service or lack there of. Also I'm 21, please don't call me ma'am. read more

Disappointed as I was really looking forward to have the yuzu ramen. I had one at the San Mateo store last year and the flavor was great! I order yuzu ramen today and there is no yuzu flavor at all but very oily noodle soup. I don't think we will come back again. read more

Yummy food! Jonathan our server was very nice and attentive as well. It was a Wednesday night so we didn't have to wait for a table.

Didn't know what to expect when first coming in but it was beyond anything I anticipated. I came for dinner with my fiancé and our friends to celebrate our engagement and service was very friendly starting with the host. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server BQ was quick and attentive with recommendations for everyone. We started with the calamari and karaage for apps and they were juicy and perfectly cooked. We had the tokusei ramen, tsukemen, and the spicy ramen and they were all delicious. The ambiance overall was very family friendly music wasn't too loud số we didn't have to yell when talking to each other. Overall the staff were incredible and food just as amazing I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for ramen in the area! read more

The San Mateo location is our fave so we were sooo excited to find out this was opening just a few minutes away from us. As absolute snobs, we were wary that the grand opening hype would mean subpar quality and service and only decided to try it out since we could join the 120 minute waitlist from home lmao. Not only did it hold up, it was waaaay vibier than San Mateo! Interior was beautiful, food was delicious, and our server Brian made us laugh within the first 10 seconds (hard to do--again, snobs). Genuinely can't wait to come back!!! read more

The food was delicious and atmosphere was comfortable. I ordered the karrage and the Tokusei tsukmen noodles, both were delicious, the karrage had the perfect crunchy texture and flavorful taste while the Tokusei was very fun and delicious to eat when dipping the noodles in the broth. The service was also very quick and respectful which was appreciated, our servers Adelita and Bryan were both very attentive and professional. I would definitely come here again! read more

Long wait. Food was good but the servers were rude the waitlist system doesn't work well. We waited way longer than they said

I've been to the San Mateo location 5 times and it's always worth the 32 mile drive. This location makes me reconsider whether the 9 mile drive is even worth it. Tokusei tsukemen was okay but lacked a crucial element when comparing to their San Mateo location: heat. The broth was not nearly as hot as it is in San Mateo. It's typically so hot that it's steaming, a temperature that's a step below coffee, so hot that I'll burn my mouth if I'm not careful. Milpitas broth? I could chug the entire bowl no problem. Such a small flaw resulted in a large disappointment for all of my friends not liking it as much or in some cases not at all. The temperature is such a big deal because the noodles are cold but dipping it in the broth will make it hot. The chasiu is a bit flawed because I have to wrestle with mine a bit instead of it being a clean bite off like it always is at San Mateo. It was also lukewarm after dipping it in the broth and that was not pleasant chewing through cold meat. The chicken karaage here is not even close to San Mateo's quality. It's more dry, more breading, and lacking the perfect golden color I'm used to. Service was fine, no complaints there. If you want to open a new location, be better and do it right. I look forward to this location's improvements to live up to the standards set by San Mateo for what quality tsukemen should be. read more

Came through after work on a busy Friday night and joined the waitlist at ~8:20 and was seated in a little over 30 minutes as a party of 1. The tables they have accommodate parties of 2-4 people each but I saw a party of 5 where they sat the 5th person awkwardly on the side. The service was great, some of the best I've received from a restaurant in quite some time. They were attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. I got the Tokusei Tsukemen with some limes on the side for the price of around $23 after taxes. The texture of the noodles was nice and chewy, however the flavor without lime was somewhat bland. The lime changed the dish for the better in my opinion, as it added a layer of a nice refreshing citrusy taste. The broth itself tasted good, but more of an it's alright type of good. Flavorful, yet somehow bland at the same exact time. There were two types of pork, rare chashu and chashu that were quite different from each other. The rare chashu really needed the broth to be good, while the regular chashu was good alone, but even better with the broth. The egg was a solid ramen egg, and the strip of seaweed was just a strip of seaweed. I wasn't a fan of the soup wari at the end of the meal. Overall the dish was solid, but I would probably be mad if a homie was hyping up this spot and I end up waiting for over an hour for it. I have quite a big appetite and didn't need to order extra noodles to be full. To wrap it up, Taishoken serves solid food, but their service is on par with that of a higher-end restaurant. Thank you to the staff for a great dining experience, hope you guys keep up the great work. read more
