This pizza was really good. The vegan cheese actually tasted good and the Detroit style was yummy. My only complaint is I wish it was bigger! Was not expecting a small to be not enough for one person read more

What can I say... EXCELLENT! From the service, to the pizza and delivery guy. Everything was spot on! Stopped in the 'Nati for the night and ordered from here on a whim based on reviews and was not disappointed! We had the Caesar salad, deluxe deep dish, pepperoni, and a margarita. Needless to say we are beyond stuffed. 100% must eat here if in the city! read more

Taglio OTR - 10" pepperoni, traditional crust - Pizza Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

My son took me here for a "Detroit Style" pizza. We had a Pepperoni and hot honey pie! Wow! Now normally I like a bunch of different topping on my pizza but the taste of this hot honey gave me a totally different outlook on simple pies! I just loved the sweet and savory combination that this crispy and chewy pizza delivered. I normally don't give pizza places five stars but the great food along with friendly service puts this place over the top for me. I will definitely be back!!! read more

Had the pleasure to eat here yesterday. One of the few places open on Labor Day. The servers on the floor immediately greeted us when we walked through the doors. We had a wonderful server who stayed customer friendly and thorough during our lunch drop in. They had wonderful lunch specials. The menu is small but it's just right. The perfect amount of options for a pizza restaurant. I ordered the lunch special of half a garden salad and a 9" vegan pizza. The vegan cheese they use is so very tasty. The crust was perfect. We did need to wait a little for my husbands sandwich but it was explained to us by the server the chef was not happy with how the original one looked. Overall, we all had a wonderful experience from the environment to the food and plan to return to explore more of the menu options. Can't get the garlic, oh lovely garlic smell out of my nose. We talked about our lunch all day. Debated on heading back for dinner. Ha!! #vegan options read more

Always order the hot honey pizza on Friday nights. The delivery drivers are always super friendly. When we do come into the restaurant we always try a new deep dish flavor and they've not once been a disappointment. The mozzarella sticks are must as well if one cheesy pizza isn't enough cheese for you! read more

Went in with the family for the first time, and was glad to have a good experience. Waitress was ok, not super attentive, but not absent either. We got the app trio to start. The buffalo chicken dip is really good, but the bread had too many large holes in it and kept breaking all over when trying to scoop out the dip. Cheese sticks and chicken tenders were fried well, and were very tasty. We came for pizza and got the Detroit style pan. It was very good, and the crispy crust is amazing. The only thing that bothered me about it, was the saltiness. I think individually the ingredients are fine, but when you combine the dough, cheese, sauce, and pepperoni the salt in each one combined makes for a very salty pizza. This is a minor gripe from me, and overall it was very good, and we would eat here again. read more

Not a fan. Crust and sauce mediocre at best. The sauce was watery and crust so so, definitely have had better. Should have gone to A Tavola. read more

Best Detroit pizza I've ever had. This place knows the art of pizza making. They top of the line

I stumbled into Taglio on a Tuesday night and was surprised that (1) they didn't have more of a crowd and (2) that they hadn't done much to the former Lachey's space. The bar got a minor upgrade and the walls got a fresh coat of paint, but there are just as many tables and TVs as the former sports bar. However, it is the perfect addition to OTR if you're looking for something a little more upscale than Mikey's, and a little less expensive than A Tavola (two other pizza spots within walking distance of Taglio). I've had their pizza from their original location in Columbia-Tusculum before, but have never had their Detroit-style deep dish before. I am not entirely sure what Detroit-style deep dish is supposed to be like, but I do know that Taglio's version of it is MOUTH-WATERING. The bartender mentioned the Pepperoni + Hot Honey is a crowd-favorite, but I didn't expect to drool over it as much as I did. It was quite possibly the perfect blend of sweet and savory - and I was not at all mad that it only came as an 18" because it just meant more leftovers for us! read more

Riculously delicious Detroit style pizza. Like seriously anyone who says it isn't dank as hell is lying. Way better than goodfellas or any other pizza I've had in Cincinnati. Their ranch is homemade and delicious AF. Jesus that's some good ranch. read more

Well, I never expected even the possibility of pizza with a crust super reminiscent of NYC pizza crust in Cincinnati. I am not yet ready to eat indoors, and I was a little nervous trying Taglio pizza for the first time as a carry out order. And since I was visiting, it was a big risk. I had the margerita with pepperoni. I must say, it was definitely a risk worth taking! The service was excellent while I waited, and the pizza was super hot, crispy and chewy, and so good. Almost like NYC good! I wasn't a fan of what seemed like NYC prices but, I enjoyed every bite and I will be back! read more

Excited for a new pizza spot in OTR! Plenty of seating and a large bar. This place just opened and I think there's room for improvement as far as service goes but the pizza is really good and worth a try! read more

A ton and a half of servers were working and they were all being super attentive, so we really got great service. The space has been made the most of, and is a big improvement on lacheys, who inhabited the space before. We ordered an appetizer of buffalo dip, which was very garlic heavy and very pricey. The buffalo flavor was nice, and they brought extra bread for it which was great. We had three different pizzas, which were all tasty, and some were a bit spicy. Everything is honestly kind of garlic heavy, but we like garlic, so we enjoyed it a lot. We'll be coming back- the menu is great and we want to try more of the options! read more

I downloaded Yelp JUST to leave this review. Taglio OTR is such an incredible vibe. The food is delish. I do wish that the Detroit style pizza came in smaller sizes, but don't hesitate to order the large because you will want to take home the leftovers! The hot honey - in a word - iconic. The cocktails are also the best. Definitely recommend the Violet Beauregarde, a divine blueberry basil margarita. No review of Taglio would be complete without a shoutout to the incredibly cool, incredibly kind staff. Shoutout to Renata and Gigi - absolute stars. read more

Came in for an early dinner on a Tuesday night. Overall the food was great and came out in a timely manner. We were the one of the only ones in the at the time. The salad I had was a small, but came out with huge portions. Deep dish does take a little bit longer, but overall was worth the wait! They do let you customize your deep dish and we did half and half. I love that they have brought Taglio to OTR! read more

Some of the best pizza in the city - get the Detroit style! I love the buffalo chicken and the hot honey pepperoni pizzas. Wasn't drinking when I went but if the cocktails are similar to their Columbia tusculum branch they're great. Service was a bit spotty but since they just opened, I assume they're just working out some kinks. Will definitely go back. read more

Their honey pizza is one of my favorite pizzas! The place is a good one to watch sports games!

Food was good but not the same as the original. Maybe the bread was not proofed enough and the service was not great that is the real issue I will chock this up to being new so I will give it another chance. There pizza is still some of the best in cincy. read more

Unbelievably terrible experience. I highly recommend avoiding this place. They really need to figure things out!

I was so excited that OTR was getting a new restaurant and had to try it right away. Since the restaurant had just opened this week, I was expecting some misses; however, Taglio far exceeded my expectations. I wanted to try everything possible. So, to start off we ordered the appetizer trio which comes with chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, and cheesy garlic bread. The portions were pretty large as it comes with 2 tenders, 2 mozzarella sticks, and 4 slices of cheesy garlic bread. Then we got the large caesar salad, which was HUGE! It had a perfect balance of dressing on the salad and was delicious. Finally, I ended the meal with a chicken parmesan sandwich, which was also a large portion. The fresh basil on the sandwich was a big plus and gave it a fresh taste. Also, who can complain about fresh bread?? A lot of reviews have mentioned service issues. When I went, service was excellent but it was also fairly empty due to it being a weekday and poor weather. I imagine that the service will improve as the restaurant gets more established. My only complaint on the experience would be food timing. I went with a group that ordered pizza and my sandwich came out ~ 20 minutes earlier than the pizza. For this restaurant only being open for less than a week, I was VERY impressed. I cannot wait to be back! P.S. try the ranch - it's incredible! read more

The Detroit style pizza was fantastic! I've enjoyed it before other places, even in Detroit, this was on par with the best I've ever tasted!

Amazing food, amazing service, they even accommodate to our request for a soccer game. For sure coming back to this place. You should try their pepperoni pizza + hot honey and their Detroit style, you would be back like us for sure. read more

Detroit style pizza is probably my favorite - you get the richness of a deep dish with lots of crunchy, cheesy edge bits. We visited taglio on a Tuesday night. They were busy, but the noise level wasn't bad. Service was friendly and fairly quick. We both ordered a beer (they have a good selection of local brews) and salads. My caesar was excellent, but his salad - the house salad with gorgonzola dressing was really good. It came with small pieces of broccoli in it, a nice touch which made it seem more than a basic house salad. We ordered the deluxe detroit style pizza. I have to say, it was pretty good! The pepperoni were small and crunchy, and the sausage had a nice flavor. I did think it could have stayed in the oven a touch longer - the bottom could have been a little more crispy. But overall, I'd recommend Taglio. Plus, they deliver to my apartment - definitely a bonus! read more

Best Detroit style pizza I have ever had outside of Detroit! The Hot Honey Pepperoni is hands down my favorite and the gelato is impossible to say no to nor should you. It is a little pricey but it is worth it, at least as far as the pizza goes. Both times I have gone I sat at the bar and had a great experience but I have definitely heard complaints about the wait time and serving staff. It is so clean inside and with all the big windows and natural light I think it is very inviting. There are also a million TVs so a great sports spot! read more

Updated review. This place has gone downhill. First I ordered a pizza, I work a few blocks away and when I got there at the time specified for pick up it wasn't ready. I paid for it as it was being made, and I ordered cheese sticks. After another 20 minutes I left with my order. Of note, the staff, all but 2, went in the back and kept looking out at me and they seem like customers were putting them out of the way by ordering food... hmm. Back at work I bit into the pizza expecting a good pizza, it was overly salty, I mean so much salt dumped on it I couldn't eat one single bite. I was pissed. So I popped a bite of the usually good cheese sticks into my mouth and it was the same thing. Completely drenched in salt so bad I couldn't finish the bite in my mouth and spit it out. Surprised that much salt didn't blow my heart out. Wtf. I personally think this is because of my profession, but who knows? I do know it had to be done deliberately, no one, no cook puts so much salt on food you cannot eat it, why were the jackwagon employees watching me? Hmm. All I know is I'll never eat there again. Better pizza and service can be had elsewhere. read more

I was so happy when Taglios took over this space in OtR. It's a large restaurant for the area, so it's easier to get a table. They have a full bar and happy hour. I highly recommend the hot, honey pepperoni pizza. Very good! read more

Pizza was very good. They were very busy but we were still taken care of. Great sports bar to watch the game and have some pizza and beer.

Food is good! Service was bad enough that I will not come here again despite enjoying the food a lot. I came here on a football Saturday and was surprised by how few people were there, but now it makes sense. The bartenders were literally going out of their way to look busy to avoid taking people's orders. I've truly never seen anything like it hahaha. We ordered sides that never came despite reminding the bartender multiple times. But don't worry, those sides were most definitely still on our bill at the end of the meal! Skip it and go literally anywhere else. read more
