They need someone that speaks English to take orders or they will get your order all wrong. Other than that the food is great!

I drive really far just to come eat at this taco truck. The tacos are delicious as well as the quesadillas.

From what I understand, the truck moves around to different locations, so it's worth keeping an eye out for where they'll be next. We ordered three Viva Mexico burgers and one bacon avocado burger, plus fries. The total came out to around $80 for the four of us. It's a little on the high side for burgers and fries, but the quality and portion sizes were definitely solid. The fries were a standout. They're hand cut and cooked in beef tallow, which gives them a rich flavor you don't get from typical fries. My son immediately said they're in his top three fries he's ever had, which says a lot. The burgers were big, messy, and really flavorful, definitely a little greasy, but in the best way. The Viva Mexico burgers had great flavor, and the bacon avocado burger was just as good. Overall, if you like a good, greasy burger and excellent fries, La Hambuguesa is worth trying.

My friends and I arrived about 20 minutes before the truck opened, and there were already a few people standing in line. The line moved pretty quickly, and the total time from ordering and receiving our food was only about 15 minutes. At this time, the line wrapped around the truck. The food came out hot and fresh. Filet-o-fish is one of my favorites of all time, and the filet de fish did not disappoint at all! The first bite had us levitating and seeing stars. The tartare sauce that the fried fish was smothered in was delicious and creamy, and the fish fillet itself was tender and flaky. The toasted and soft Japanese bun was the cherry on top. Simple and comforting and nostalgic, but elevated in the best way. We also tried their popular Viva Mexico, but we felt like it lacked in flavor and only tasted spicy, if that makes sense. Beef tallow fries were okay and not anything special. Great portions, however, it was still pretty expensive for a food truck burger. I'm glad I got to try this place out and will be back if the filet de fish hits the menu again, and would try their Signature next time.

Yet - in Arizona - there it is. With all the jibber-jabber about SoCal vs. Norcal vs. Texas vs. Chicago Mexican food, the true champion is on the sands of the Sonoran Desert. So what about the machaca? The chilaquiles are fine. Would be even better if served hot instead of lukewarm. The puree of pinto beans are piquantly larded. As for the tamal, the masa tasted oddly sweet. But the machaca starred. First they dry the beef. Then they smoked it. Finally they shred it. These pencil shavings of carne de res are then reconstituted in a sofrito. The flavor gives evidence of the smoke; gives evidence of the drying process; you discover also a slight tang from the aging process - similar to any dry-aged beef - but also bottarga or shrimp paste. In a jar on the table are the native chiltepin dried chillies. Each table has its own ornamental chili grinder. They sell cafe de la oya and champurado that are nice, notwithstanding the violent sun of Pheonix, AZ. * I kid. There's nothing wrong with preparing, serving, or eating food under a tent.

It is perfect for when you want a home cooked meal but don't feel like cooking. Delicious!

It also somes with a very small amount of tortilla chips. This cost me $15.37. The first thing I noticed is that their tortillas aren't the stereotypical white flour you see in most quesadillas at other places; it was a very unique thin and crispy texture. It was huge and filled to brim with so much flavor that I couldn't finish it; it made me wish I was more hungry at the time of purchasing it. I really like the fact that their website is very detailed.

A suggestion for improvement is that the menu near the ordering window did not match the menu on the side of the truck, nor did the food come out according to the menu. I ordered the Hail Caesar with a side of guacamole ($2 for a tiny ramekin). The menu did not state there were onions on the dilla but I asked when I ordered to confirm there were no onions. The man taking orders told me that if the menu didn't say onions were included, then onions wouldn't be included. Guess what was included? Giant chunks of red onion. A little disappointed by the inconsistency and lack of employee knowledge. The quesadilla came out hot and fresh and was very large.

I usually get the barbacoa tacos and horchata. The meats are cooked to perfection and I have to fight the temptation of taking more tacos home with me to go because they are so good. Pro tip, bring cash. They charge a small fee if you pay with card. When you come to the lot you will see two trucks named La Frontera. Go to the one closer to the jack in the box next door. Parking is available in the lot. There is a good amount of tables and chairs.

I think the only difference between #1 and #2 is #2 has a food truck for mariscos and tierra; #1 only has tierra. My go to has always been a cabeza burrito and horchata. I never get any salsa because the burrito itself is pure amazingness- lots of flavor, lots of meat and toppings. The horchata is a massive jug. Not the best for someone with "the beetus" but it's a solid drink. This La Frontera has a more difficult parking situation - maybe 10 spots total right off 35th Ave (not Lincoln). If none of those are available you could probably street park along Lincoln. It's definitely a busy lunchtime spot during the week- so timing your arrival is key for parking. Have never been steered wrong here and the staff are always pleasant and smiles.
