Amazing EXPENSIVE TACOS!! Tasty and worth the money!! Customer service is great. Drinks are ice cold -$1.50 and tacos are $2.50 with a variety of meat options and they only accept cash.

That lady has no costumer service skills

I do really get out my way to be nice to the ladies that work here, but I don't think they know the words, "please" and "thank you" Realmente trato de ser amable con las señoras que atienden pero no creo que sepan cómo decir porfavor y gracias :( Really good salsas though

Tacos hand made tortillas!!

Finally I have found a taco stand to replace my old favorite. The tortillas are hand made so you won't get that sour tortilla taste that you get at some places. Everything is finely chopped which to me is a deal breaker. I brought my Mom and sister here for a late lunch and we ordered 3 tacos, a quesadilla, gotta, & three drinks and only paid $18! For me that was a steal especially for the portions. The quesadillas are pretty big and the tacos are just the right size. I will tell you this its in a sketchy area but you can always order them to go if you don't want to stay and eat there. I will definitely be coming back soon.

This place has gone down hill. The meat is tasteless, and they messed up our order. Disappointed.

From what I understand, the truck moves around to different locations, so it's worth keeping an eye out for where they'll be next. We ordered three Viva Mexico burgers and one bacon avocado burger, plus fries. The total came out to around $80 for the four of us. It's a little on the high side for burgers and fries, but the quality and portion sizes were definitely solid. The fries were a standout. They're hand cut and cooked in beef tallow, which gives them a rich flavor you don't get from typical fries. My son immediately said they're in his top three fries he's ever had, which says a lot. The burgers were big, messy, and really flavorful, definitely a little greasy, but in the best way. The Viva Mexico burgers had great flavor, and the bacon avocado burger was just as good. Overall, if you like a good, greasy burger and excellent fries, La Hambuguesa is worth trying.

My friends and I arrived about 20 minutes before the truck opened, and there were already a few people standing in line. The line moved pretty quickly, and the total time from ordering and receiving our food was only about 15 minutes. At this time, the line wrapped around the truck. The food came out hot and fresh. Filet-o-fish is one of my favorites of all time, and the filet de fish did not disappoint at all! The first bite had us levitating and seeing stars. The tartare sauce that the fried fish was smothered in was delicious and creamy, and the fish fillet itself was tender and flaky. The toasted and soft Japanese bun was the cherry on top. Simple and comforting and nostalgic, but elevated in the best way. We also tried their popular Viva Mexico, but we felt like it lacked in flavor and only tasted spicy, if that makes sense. Beef tallow fries were okay and not anything special. Great portions, however, it was still pretty expensive for a food truck burger. I'm glad I got to try this place out and will be back if the filet de fish hits the menu again, and would try their Signature next time.

Yet - in Arizona - there it is. With all the jibber-jabber about SoCal vs. Norcal vs. Texas vs. Chicago Mexican food, the true champion is on the sands of the Sonoran Desert. So what about the machaca? The chilaquiles are fine. Would be even better if served hot instead of lukewarm. The puree of pinto beans are piquantly larded. As for the tamal, the masa tasted oddly sweet. But the machaca starred. First they dry the beef. Then they smoked it. Finally they shred it. These pencil shavings of carne de res are then reconstituted in a sofrito. The flavor gives evidence of the smoke; gives evidence of the drying process; you discover also a slight tang from the aging process - similar to any dry-aged beef - but also bottarga or shrimp paste. In a jar on the table are the native chiltepin dried chillies. Each table has its own ornamental chili grinder. They sell cafe de la oya and champurado that are nice, notwithstanding the violent sun of Pheonix, AZ. * I kid. There's nothing wrong with preparing, serving, or eating food under a tent.

The place is pretty clean and even though it's outdoors they have shade and a big fan. But even if you don't want to be outside I recommend you get your food to go because you just have to try it! It is perfect for when you want a home cooked meal but don't feel like cooking. Delicious!
