I love their taco tripas so much! The tacos are priced between $3-$3.50, which is pretty standard,…read morebut the flavor definitely stands out. Make sure to ask for the tripas crispy! It makes a huge difference and adds the perfect crunch. Their cabeza and lengua are also incredibly flavorful, moist, and well-balanced. Nothing is overly salty which I really appreciate. My friend tried the pork belly taco, and it was crispy and packed with flavor so that's definitely on my list for my next visit. A quick tip: bring cash. They do take credit cards, but there's a 3% fee. There's no free water fountain, but bottled water is available for purchase, along with some classic homemade drinks you can try. The staff here are friendly and welcoming, and the outdoor seating is clean and comfortable. There's even a handwashing station with soap and paper towels provided which is a nice touch. Overall, such a great spot! I can't wait to come back again!

I wish there was more limones and cucumbers on the plate. The salsas were really good, and the perfect balance of spice and taste. For a food truck, the area is clean and big enough for 2+. We used to visit and push tables together and just enjoy the night. Which is what I felt visiting. The meat is still so juicy, and food is just hot to touch. Definitely a good place to visit after a game or concert!

Tried La Hambuguesa, a burger food truck that was parked outside a bar where you can grab a drink…read moreand sit down to eat. From what I understand, the truck moves around to different locations, so it's worth keeping an eye out for where they'll be next. We ordered three Viva Mexico burgers and one bacon avocado burger, plus fries. The total came out to around $80 for the four of us. It's a little on the high side for burgers and fries, but the quality and portion sizes were definitely solid. The fries were a standout. They're hand cut and cooked in beef tallow, which gives them a rich flavor you don't get from typical fries. My son immediately said they're in his top three fries he's ever had, which says a lot. The burgers were big, messy, and really flavorful, definitely a little greasy, but in the best way. The Viva Mexico burgers had great flavor, and the bacon avocado burger was just as good. Overall, if you like a good, greasy burger and excellent fries, La Hambuguesa is worth trying.

My friends and I arrived about 20 minutes before the truck opened, and there were already a few people standing in line. The line moved pretty quickly, and the total time from ordering and receiving our food was only about 15 minutes. At this time, the line wrapped around the truck. The food came out hot and fresh. Filet-o-fish is one of my favorites of all time, and the filet de fish did not disappoint at all! The first bite had us levitating and seeing stars. The tartare sauce that the fried fish was smothered in was delicious and creamy, and the fish fillet itself was tender and flaky. The toasted and soft Japanese bun was the cherry on top. Simple and comforting and nostalgic, but elevated in the best way. We also tried their popular Viva Mexico, but we felt like it lacked in flavor and only tasted spicy, if that makes sense. Beef tallow fries were okay and not anything special. Great portions, however, it was still pretty expensive for a food truck burger. I'm glad I got to try this place out and will be back if the filet de fish hits the menu again, and would try their Signature next time.

This is an update to my earlier review. We have been coming here weekly now for over a year and I'm…read moreconsistently blown away by the food. I am going to go out on a limb and declare this the best family Mexican restaurant in all of Phoenix. There, I said it. People may wonder why I would say such a definitive thing for something subjective like food. It's because almost everything here is mind blowing really good. I don't think there are better beans anywhere. Their rice is always tender and flavorful and not the rock hard rice cooker. Crap you get in almost every other Mexican restaurant. Standouts for me here include the Carnitas, which are amazing. The chunky beef enchiladas are the best. I've had anywhere in the United States. The shredded beef tacos are super tasty and greasy and hot and full of meat and just excellent. The fish is particularly good., especially the "mojarra" or whole fried fish. It's tender and flavorful and fresh. There's nothing on the menu that I would say is even mediocre. The chicken enchiladas are excellent, and the burritos are all to die for. The only thing that didn't impress me was the fajitas, but I would still give those a four out of five. The service here is amazing even on a crazy Saturday. I don't recommend coming here if you're starving because there's going to be a wait. Come for lunch and come after 2 o'clock and there won't be any wait. People come here from all over Phoenix and it has been here for almost 60 years. There's a reason why and it's because, as I said, this is the best family Mexican restaurant in all of the Phoenix Valley, and possibly in the state of Arizona. And shout-out to server Pedro for the always excellent service and attention to detail. The prices are reasonable. The food is mind blowing, and the service is top-notch. What more can there be?

I only had the Green Chile Beef burrito, enchilada style, smothered in green sauce. My wife asked me to bring her home the same thing, a relleno and a taco. Even though I had an hour drive home, she loved it all and said the taco was AMAZING! In fact, she said she could eat endless tacos if that was an option Needless to say, I'll make sure to stop in again next time I'm in the area!
