It's been years since I've been here and it was quite disappointing. The service was mid, the topping station was bit messy and out of lids and containers and they weren't stocked with it like they normally are and the entire restaurant itself, the ambiance was a nice modern style but floors were dirty and messy and the employees had a bit of an attitude. We waiting an entire 24 minutes for a takeout order!! It usually takes 12 minutes or less to get it. This place is delicious! We ordered chicken and beef tacos for our family. Both meat options were flavorful and had great sides! The retried beans are a must. Due to covid they do portion items into containers that would be on their salsa bar and at checkout ask which items you would like. I would give the food five stars, but the customer service would be far less. The lady working the floor was rude when bringing the food and when we asked for the limes and onions we had ordered she slammed the pico de gallo down, huffed, and never brought the other items. She was also handling food to tables and cleaning. It seems given the current pandemic that isn't very sanitary and there should be a separate person cleaning especially during busy lunch times. I know many places are short staffed so I still have it a try. I fully regret my decision. I pad $28 for the meal for two. The meal ended up being the size of a meal for one at any other restaurant in and around El Paso. I added the grilled onion. I waited nearly 20 minutes for my food. That was fine until the food came and was room temperature at best. My meal was not warm/hot. The grilled onions were actually cold. Yes cold, like they were taken for a refrigerator. The onions were grilled at one time. Maybe they forgot to warm up. The sirloin was mostly fat. Barnacle was good. Tortillas were good. Take the time to try another restarting in the area. I am a Tacotote lover, this is authentic Mexican food and it doesn't get any better. I like the fast food concept but also I do wish they had Margaritas. They have TVs so you may enjoy the soccer game. Their meat is carne asada style (along other styles) and it is delicious, the tortillas are handmade on the spot. I love their salsa bar, and writing about all of this makes me mega hungry so I better stop. They also have quesadillas. read more

Love this place for delicious tacos and even more delicious salsa bar! I seriously already started having my fill from just eating their slices cucumbers and radishes and dipping them in their guacamole and jalapeño salsa lol. So good! I was trying to use the veggies as an alternative from their all you can eat chips. Pro diet tip lol. Anyway, as for the main course. I finally ventured away from my usual shrimp tacos, which are always amazing and delicious fyi. I wanted to try their adobado chicken. I was worried at first because i soon realized it was different from the regular chicken which was what i was aiming for. They assured me its delicous. And it was!!! I was in taco heaven for sure! Partly the delicious chicken but also because their freshly made corn tortillas are amazing!!! Theyre thicker than the flour ones so its always too much food. But i end up finishing it anyway lol. Charro beans is always what i go for as a side. That is also amazing! Top these things off with onions, cilantro, or their guac salsa, i am hooked! The only problem we have are the fat pieces that they dont seem to both cutting out before they have the appropriate amount of meat for the sirloin tacos. Although delicious, there was quite a good amount of fat chunks we had to take out. That was disappointing. We visited on a Monday around 7:00pm. It wasn't busy and I'd say we waited about 15-20 minutes for our to-go order. I honestly didn't have high hopes for this place. The reviews are mixed and upon entrance it's cute, but doesn't look promising. There were some major health concerns going on in the kitchen that made me nervous to eat, but it wasn't our food being handled so I took the risk. The food was better than expected for the most part. Horchata was good, rice was fine, and the tacos (chicken adobada and barbacoa) were good. The refried beans were absolutely horrible. We were so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant that we're sorry it took us so long to try. It's not cheap, but it's quality meat and food! Taco Tote is a local Juarez and El Paso chain that's good. They have quite a few choices for meat with my favorites being chicken and pork adobado. The fish can be pretty good too, but it can get a little salty. I've also had the barbacoa, but it wasn't memorable compared to the other meats I tasted. One of the best parts of the meal besides the flavorful meat is the fresh salsa bar. They have many tasty salsas to choose from that don't overpower the food. You can eat some chips and salsa while you wait for your meal to be prepared. I'm definitely going back when I visit El Paso this year. read more

I'm surprised at how good this was! We got the 2 tacos combo (2 tacos, rice, beans), barbacoa and whatever the pork was. Adobo maybe? I forget. The barbacoa was rich but not nearly as flavorful as the pork; it was delicious! They also had an awesome salsa bar. There were a few different kinds of salsas (red, green, avocado, and a couple other kinds, plus lettuce, cucumber slices, radish slices, pickled onion, cilantro, all KINDS of stuff!) that were excellent too. They offered 3 kinds of aguas frescas (lemonade, horchata, or some red stuff) but it just looked like Kool-Ade to me. They also have flan, cheesecake, and empanadas (at least I think that's what they were, I forget now). I'm looking forward to trying the al pastor when I go back, yom! read more

Ah, at last I've had the chance to try the Tote! I didn't realize you ordered and paid at the counter. We tried the carne aside and al pastor taco plates-they really don't skimp on the meat, which is great, and the plates came with sautéed onions. The pork had better flavor than the beef, in my opinion, and there were enough tortillas to make six tacos, which we improved with guacamole, plus the pico, limes, and hot sauces from the salsa bar. We enjoyed the unlimited chips and salsa (you just help yourself), though I never was able to get a hold of extra cilantro. We liked mixing the guacamole salsa thing with the chipotle hot sauce, making it a little less harsh. Additionally, they sell some bottled beers at the counter, too (Pacifico, Bud Light, and a couple others). read more

A little more than regular fast food and could be compared to taco cabana when talking about the decor.
