nice ambiance and delicious food! would likely not get the loaded fries again, the cheese wasn't my favorite. I look forward to coming back and trying different kinds of tacos.

First time trying this place out. Being from New Mexico it's a rare occasion when I get to have some legit good Mexican food. As I've explained to many of the locals there's a huge difference between New Mexico and Mexican food. I figured while I was in town visiting family for the holidays I'd check it out. Walking in I was surprised to see a full salsa bar that you can help yourself to a wide variety of salsas to choose from. We ordered a quesadilla, and some tacos. I started with the quesadilla. Boy do I love a good quesadilla! It was a love at first bite! The cheese was just oh so right. It was heaven between two tortillas. I quickly moved in on the tacos. I added some of the cilantro, green salsa, lime, and onions. The salsa was a little spicy but I savored every bite! It was a quite a delight! I gotta hand it to these guys, they make some great food! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

I love to try taco places & El Taquero comer is one of my absolute favorite taco restaurants. The meat is cooked and seasoned perfectly. They have an extensive menu, which is nice. This occasion we tried the asada & al pastor tacos & we ordered a side of fries. The aguas frescas are also great! They served our food really fast even though the restaurant was packed, which is always a plus. The restaurant is really small, but they were expanding to the suite next door. Overall, GREAT food. Might be my favorite tacos in El Paso!

This place is pretty popular and it's not hard to tell why. The food portions are big so come with an appetite. You can dine-in or carry out. They have outside seating as well. I had the nachos supreme and my parents had the Asada fires and the taco special. Their salsa bar is nice and the food arrived fairly quick for it being so busy. I will defiantly be returning. If you're looking for good food at an affordable price, this place is it.

This place is right around the corner from my house and I hadn't eaten there yet. After a lot of hype from people, we decided to try it. Family friendly, the place was roomy, had a small salsa bar in the middle. We asked the staff for some recommendations, and based on that we settled for an al pastor taco, a chicken taco, a chorizo taco and a deshebrada taco, along with some asada fries with chicken. All the tacos except for the deshebrada tacos were absolutely delicious. The salsas were great! The fries were ok, nothing special, won't get them again. My only complaint is that it took really long to get our food and it was not that busy. Will go back for the tacos, though.

    Burned quesadillas

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Asked for a torta of asada got a torta of just lettuce. I order no onion and there were pieces of onion. Quesadilla was burned and barely any meat on the tortas. Called the place 4 times no one answered.

Double Tortilla tacos with the best flavors! Aguas frescas and a Salsa bar. And the jams were jamming too! This hit the spot after coming back from Cali. The ambiance is very much Juarez Vibes and the service is on point..

While the food was never the primary…read morereason I returned, the excellent margaritas and outstanding service kept me coming back for nearly two decades. Unfortunately, that loyalty came to an end after a recent experience that was both disappointing and unacceptable. My family and I chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Every guest paid separately, and there were no issues during the evening itself. However, as the event concluded, multiple attendees, including family members and in-laws, overheard servers making derogatory comments about our party. Among the remarks were that we were "ungrateful," "cheap," and "broke," along with other inappropriate comments that no customer should ever have to hear. I brought the matter to the attention of ownership, hoping for a meaningful resolution. While I was told the employees had been reprimanded, the proposed remedy was a $25 gift card. After nearly 18 years of patronage, the response felt dismissive and only added insult to injury. What disappoints me most is not simply the behavior of the staff, but the lack of accountability and concern shown afterward. This was a place I once considered a reliable and welcoming destination for family gatherings and celebrations. Sadly, that trust has been lost. As a result, I will no longer be returning or recommending this establishment to friends, family, or colleagues. Respect for customers should be a fundamental part of any hospitality business, and in this case, that standard was not met.

The food arrived within about 10 minutes for our group of six, which was impressive. The complimentary fried tortillas were very good, and the salsa was enjoyable as well. I ordered al pastor tacos. The flavor was good, but the meat was very dry. I liked the portion size, especially the amount of meat, but it would have been excellent if it were not so dry.

About 8 large chile toreados, grilled onions.and plenty of corn tortillas. The charro beans were mostly bean soup. I actually poured some of the bean soup into a bowl so we could serve ourselves to avoid some spilling. The baked potatoes were generously bathed in butter. They did not provide any other toppings for the potatoes. Personally I think some sour cream, or Mexican crema de la Mesa, some chives, some other toppings would have been nice. The queso fundido was good but also a disappointment. It was missing the chorizo that I had paid extra for. The meat was very good. Well done but not dry or hard to chew. I was pleased to see that the chicken was not cooked into dryness. We did come across a couple of meat grisel or what in Spanish is called "nervio". This place has a small sign that states that if you pay with a credit card a 3% service charge will be added to your bill. I am pretty good with math and I pointed out to the cashier that they actually charge 4%. He did make a correction on my bill. Be ware of your bill. Otherwise they do give you plenty of food. It reminds me of a Mexican parrillada/ grilled cook out. The food here was very good, good tasting, and in spite of the small glitches worth it. We will be returning again.

Looking back, El Cometa is what started my taco obsession. Their tacos al pastor con queso are so good. The marinated pork is perfectly seasoned, a little greasy in the best way, and topped with melted cheese. One thing I love is their salsa bar. I always grab the red salsa, green salsa, and guacamole. I pile all three on my tacos, and every bite is amazing. Their tacos remind me of my favorite tacos at the resort my family visited every summer in Cancún. Even though it has been years since I have been there, El Cometa brings those memories back with every bite. The staff is incredible. Last summer, the hostess recognized me right away and seated me immediately. She even remembered my order. I order the exact same thing every visit: tacos and two cans of Sprite.
