Delicious tacos and a solid food options for lunch or dinner! My family and I were visiting El Paso for the holidays and were tired of cooking. We decided to check out Don Taco and place a to-go order. The staff was very attentive and the food came out really quick. For my ordered, I decided to go with the asada tacos with a side of charro beans. Frankly, I was not the biggest fan of the asada tacos, but everyone else seemed to love their order. What I did LOVE was the charro beans! They were cooked to perfection and were not too salty. I could've had a big bowl of charro beans, and would've been happy with just dad. Will have to give them a second try next time I am pack in El Paso and try something new. read more

Solid asada (steak) tacos and fajitas here! I used to live down the street from Don Taco so I'd frequent it a lot more often than I do now. This was mine and my bf's spot for quite awhile. He'd order the chicken fajitas and I'd order the asada tacos with a papa (baked potato) and charro beans, rice. All of the meat from here is flavored to perfection. I wouldn't doubt it if they marinade it for many hours at a time. Their salsas were also very tasty and spicy, even. Sometimes places make them too watery and not spicy enough. This wasn't the case here! The staff was always really nice and accommodating each time we went. The food was also brought to us in a timely matter. Their menudo on weekends is also pretty tasty. It's not too greasy and it has a good spice to it. I immediately don't like menudo if it's too greasy. Don Taco always had the TV on or Mexican music playing. I'm not sure if they do that anymore. It never really bothered me because the volume was always decent. I didn't have to shout at my bf to hold a conversation. Did I mention they also had good empanadas and cakes? This is the second time I've came here. The first time I was in love. Everything was so good. This time not so much. I ordered green enchiladas with chicken and they were dry like if the had been microwaved. My daughter ordered nachos and they are just tostadas with shredded cheese on top, the cheese cooled down so fast in clumps. Definitely not recommending those. My husband got tripitas and Al pastor tacos. He loved them. The service was great our waitress was nice and kept checking on us, the establishment looks clean and the theme is very nice. The owners and employees need to be checked. They denied a man, his young children and family service here because they thought he did something that has nothing to do with them that he DID NOT do. I am appalled that an owner and employees would do something like this especially in front of children. erratic behavior for sure. we will not ever be eating here again. hey owners check the news station again, you're wrong! You all owe this man and his family a huge apology And free food for a year. I don't even think they would come back ever. What an embarrassmen to your establishment. I visited with my family a long time ago, wanting to try a new place. Food wasn't great, service was awful and I heard the owner/boss (who knows) yelling and being rude to an employee. Had the worst time because we couldn't even enjoy what we ordered. Last month we went back to give it another try. The service was still awful and the food made my nephew sick after that. Pretty bad customer service I called to place an order to pick up cause my mother was feeling like tacos so I called and spoke to Suzette and she told me to hold on that she would be right w me thinking to myself it must be packed never been there before thought of giving it a try I live about 20 mins from the place I was on hold until I pulled up the phone was on the counter miss Suzette was on her phone and there were about 4 customers eating like why was I put on hold zero customer service and the restaurant industry blames ppl for not supporting check the ppl you hire 20$ for birria tacos and a drink talk about inflation smh I'll take my money elsewhere! read more

The manager was all paranoid about giving me salsa and cucumber for my tacos. Legit thought this place was don cuco. Pretty disappointed they ripped off the logo and I ended up here because of it. Didn't have to spend an arm and a leg to get fresh cooked tacos, with a baked potato. Really good food for the price. After reading such great reviews, I decided to head down here. Even though the restaurant was empty, the tables were dirty, we asked the server is she could clean the table, which she did, with a dirty towel. I could smell the peculiar dirty towel odor long after she was done, then our drinks took a good 10 minutes to hit our table. We ordered the pound of barbacoa, when I asked the server if any sides came with it, she proceeded to try and educate me on how barbacoa was always served by itself, instead of seizeing the opportunity to upsell some sides, which I ended up ordering anyway, although I truly regret ordering them. The rice was old, and the beans still had the microwave bubbles on the rim. The Barbacoa had the distinct signs of being reheated, and obviously not fresh. Finally there was no music in the restaurant and it seamed neglected overall, like the oil stained coupons on the table caddy, and the humidity stained ceiling tiles. This was definitively not a good dining experience. I don't know what all those great reviews are all about. read more
