Blue Fox Burger

Stopped in because I saw rave reviews about the burgers, but I was way more into the sweet potato fries. The Blue Fox burger is good though. It's got sweetness from the apple and a bit of tang from the blue cheese, but man, those sweet potato fries were something else. They're crispy and tossed in seasoning, and I'm guessing that was walnut aioli with it. It's a lot of flavors but it's really addicting.

Beer Braised Rabbit Tacos Dorados

A perfect mix of herbs and romantic blend of classic Spanish cuisine with a modern twist the ancestors would approve of! The fries need a little extra crisp and they had miss-placed the jalapeño cream, which is a salsa that has a concisely blended texture but an unforgettable assortment of flavors. Their consume is also an immensely whimsical mix of what I imagine is the Virgen de Guadalupe and Santa Muerte. Their mac and cheese is next on my bucket list!

A lovely, bustling atmosphere inside the Monk on a windy Friday night. Great service and tasty dishes made our date night complete. Well, almost complete Love this place, highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I stumbled into The Hoppy Monk from traveling from Austin to Arizona and right after seeking retreat from a Monsoon. We were planning on stopping in El Paso and right as we hit the city limits it began pouring! We rushed into the hotel and had to change after being drenched, as soon as the storm stopped we began looking for places. We decided to try out The Hoppy Monk as it was about 10 minutes away from the hotel (Hilton by UTEP) and still open past 8 on a Sunday. This was probably one of the best finds and whim eating decisions we have ever made while on vacation. We walked and there was a full band playing from Las Cruces, New Mexico, they were amazing and we were incredibly impressed with the ambiance of this taproom/restaurant. I ordered the green chile asadero burger and think I ate it within 2 minutes it was so good. My boyfriend got the gochu chickenwich which was also amazing. Their portions were huge and extremely flavorful. Now to the beer, if you like beer this is the place for you! They have almost 2 or 3 pages of just beer options from around Texas and New Mexico. It was great getting to try local options but also having familiar choices as well. One suggestion if the owners are listening: can we get Mother Road Tower Station from Flagstaff, AZ? This is one of the best IPAs and I feel would add another level to the place! I'll check the next time I pass through... oh and that would be the third time as we stopped again when returning to Austin.

Duchesse Burger w/ Sweet Potato Fries

Came here tired and hungry as I was passing through El Paso the night. Sat at the bar and ordered the Duchesse Burger with Sweet Potato Fries and had a couple brews. I liked the different burger options they provided and the beer, wine, and cocktail list was good and extensive. The staff was chill and the inside was nice and busy on a Saturday night. Thanks for having me!

We always like to try new places, but I am an extremely picky person when it comes to restaurant food. I can make it much better at home myself. But sometimes it's nice to have somebody else cook. We stopped here for an early dinner, It was our first time. The staff was very friendly and kind. The food came out pretty quickly. My husband really enjoyed his veggie burger. I had a sample and it was very good, but I was looking for something a little bit lighter fare. I had the tacos al Pastor veggie tacos and they may have been a bit salty for me. But I'm not sure if it was the spice or the salt that I was tasting. I don't eat much salt. Another reason why I cannot usually go out. I can also not eat oil because it really upsets my stomach. These were not oily at all, but the tortillas were a bit hard for my taste. It was nice to be able to sit outside despite the Mesa traffic something we like doing. My husband is from Europe, where you can sit outside anywhere, but here in the states, especially El Paso it's hard to find such a spot.

The indoor atmosphere is that of a bar but outdoor is nice because of the fountains. Hazel was our server, she was nice, patient, and attentive. The beer is delicious and they have so many options to choose from. We took our kids which meant we had to be there before 7pm. Food was good. My kids loved the fish and chips and sweet potato fries. We also tried the gochuwich sandwich and chille verde burger both were okay. The gochuwich was very messy and the chille verde burger was a bit plain. We both did like the adobo quesadillas and aguachile. The aguachile was fresh and had the perfect amount of spice to it. The adobo quesadillas were too spicy for our kids, they are served with corn tortillas instead of flower but they were delicious.

Great food!!! I will definitely be coming back. The ditches burger was so fresh and the fries were crispy and hot. Great bar vibe on a Friday night

We were just traveling through ElPaso and needed a good lace for dinner. The food here is fantastic! Husband had blue fox burger So delicious! Also whatever beer he had he loved. (Like an IPA and a hazy combination) I had the chicken sandwich with a side of broccoli which was to die for! The sandwich so excellent and the broccoli probably the best I've had anywhere. The slivered pear such a great addition. The chef needs a raise! Server was very good. Too bad we don't live here. We'd be regular customers

One of my favorite bar/restaurants in El Paso. My husband and I went on a Sunday and sat by the bar. The staff was kind enough to switch the channel of the tv to show a football game after we asked. The wings, burgers, and fries were delicious and brought out in a timely manner. I love that you can add an egg to the burgers. Additionally, the shot/beer special is well-worth it and affordable. Look forward to returning soon!

So we haven't visited this place for a while. Last time we came here it was like two stars. The service is always slow here. The ambience is always the same. The food is consistently good.

My previous review still remains but just wanted to update a year later. The Gonju Chicken Wings are still some of my favorite wings in town. The beers are exceptional though snobby in price. But you also can't beat their beer/shot combo for $5 if you're just wanting a beer and a shot of tequila. Can't recommend the atmosphere and the food at this place enough.

One of our favorites in EP. The food is always fresh and incredibly flavorful - we have tried nearly the whole menu and have yet to be disappointed. We love to sit out on the patio with our kids - very welcoming space, nice cover from the sun. Service is always fast and friendly, have never had a bad experience. I can't say I've ever seen a high chair there so unsure if they have them, as an FYI for those with small kids. The drinks from the bar are always strong and well mixed, my husband has no complains from the beer side of things. Great place to have a meet up with friends!

On this particular day we visited when the kitchen was closed so we had to focus on a liquid appetizer to say. The drink menu is something to admire as they were really thought out and well curated. It was in all the details from presentation to garnishes. I ordered "La Sirena" and it came in the cutest mug w a mermaid tail. Then a margarita martini (SOO good). I started with the Tiradito and Aguachile appetizers. Both FRESH and very flavorful. I enjoyed the spice my one the most. From there moved on to the fish tacos and the potatoe fingerlings side. Can I just say WOW ! The fish was fresh and not frozen. I was actually impressed with the quality . Only two come per order but pretty filling. I don't even like potatoes or fries but however the chef seasoned them and prepared the green sauce on the bottom was perfection! The service was amazing especially from Eddie the bar manager - he was engaging and knowledgeable of mixology. Truly put love into all of our drinks. Highly recommend. It's an upscale spot that's a must try!!

So I, of course, feeling the need always to explore new cocktail bars or restaurants in my hometown when visiting home, was pretty excited for the opportunity to check out Hush Hush. As a true millennial Gemini, I celebrate my birthday for the whole month, so I quickly texted my family and friends; this is where I wanted to go. What I love about Hush Hush is how it's encouraging and pushing folks to step out of their comfort zone in their attire and dress more to the vibes of this cocktail house (Think Soho, ABA, Casablanca, and Elephante). You're bound to see more desert tones, muted colors, flowy pants, basically anything resort wear. It's cool to see this cocktail house make you feel like you're not in El Paso. The music is different, more loungey, to where you can hear everyone at your table. Of course, there's still a DJ, but damn, Hush Hush is intentionally geared for those who love to go out but need top-shelf cocktails without the eye rolls or the bartenders staring at us with blank eyes. Hush Hush is a true game changer. The lines might get crazy, but I suggest getting there early so you can snag your photos and a solid table/spot. There are three main bar areas, but my fave was the velvet room. I suggest catching a drink on the second floor if you get there early enough to get an eagle eye's view of the establishment. Attention to detail was on point, and I appreciated the homework and research done before the opening of this spot. It's an elevated experience for the city and one I wish every city in the States had tbh.

That's the whole point of the establishment's existence. (No one else seemed to care about anything but hard seltzers and shots). The bartender said they could still make things from the previous menu, but they didn't have that available, either. She recommended two Jameson-based options, but could think of nothing else. So, I got a beer. I asked for any stouts or porters aside from Guinness, but there weren't any. I asked about one beer she said was "dark", but it was a Pilsner. I like pilsners, so I ordered it...but for the record, they are nothing close to a dark beer. I saw they had Crown Apple after I had started my beer and asked a different bartender if they had Coke Zero. I was told that when he wants a soda he goes to the bar next door. After an alarming number of exchanges, I learned that they DO have Coke, just not any diet varieties. Instead, I later chose a margarita. Yes, it's cute they serve it in a tea cup, but consider that tea cups are very small and there is ice, so it was almost a non-alcoholic beverage. DJ was cool, but, "all night disco" was really some mashup of a few disco/funk songs with some 90s hip hop and a good deal of 80s pop mixed in. Now, it was crazy FUN, but not what I was expecting. Definitely won't be back. I know there is the charm of drinking at grandma's, but it's really just a lousy hipster dive bar with thrift store art on the walls. The second star is just for having a fun dj (brought in a fun crowd).
