Yay lit Grandmas living room! The drinks are tasty & boozy! The bartender, Gil*, is super chill & has great conversation. I came on a Tuesday around 5pm, not crowded at all. I was able to talk to Gil about what drink they were popular for & if it was for me. We settled on, Raspberry Green Tea drink. Super duper hipster spot. Drinks served in tea cups. Bartenders with colored hair, big glasses, and tatted arms. Old school furniture with lots of floral around. Very cool experience with delicious drinks and a chill atmosphere. They have a private lot and street parking. If you haven't been, then you need to go. read more

So, my experience was apparently not as amazing as everyone else's. Firstly, they didn't have a cocktail menu. I was told they haven't had once since covid. But, it's a COCKTAIL LOUNGE! That's the whole point of the establishment's existence. (No one else seemed to care about anything but hard seltzers and shots). The bartender said they could still make things from the previous menu, but they didn't have that available, either. She recommended two Jameson-based options, but could think of nothing else. So, I got a beer. I asked for any stouts or porters aside from Guinness, but there weren't any. I asked about one beer she said was "dark", but it was a Pilsner. I like pilsners, so I ordered it...but for the record, they are nothing close to a dark beer. I saw they had Crown Apple after I had started my beer and asked a different bartender if they had Coke Zero. I was told that when he wants a soda he goes to the bar next door. After an alarming number of exchanges, I learned that they DO have Coke, just not any diet varieties. Instead, I later chose a margarita. Yes, it's cute they serve it in a tea cup, but consider that tea cups are very small and there is ice, so it was almost a non-alcoholic beverage. DJ was cool, but, "all night disco" was really some mashup of a few disco/funk songs with some 90s hip hop and a good deal of 80s pop mixed in. Now, it was crazy FUN, but not what I was expecting. Definitely won't be back. I know there is the charm of drinking at grandma's, but it's really just a lousy hipster dive bar with thrift store art on the walls. This place is so ridiculously hipster. I love it. It looks like grandma's house. But it's a bar. With house music. The bartender was super nice. I got one of their specialty drinks in a teacup. Hubs got a beer, and our other two companions also got mixed drinks. I bought the first round and it was $20 (including a 25% tip!) - It's so cheap! They were playing some early 90's Jean Claude Van Dam movie and were setting up for a DJ set! This place is pretty freakin' awesome. read more

Loved the theme of the bar and the cool tea/coffee cups they serve the drinks in. Surprised they didn't have a cocktail menu or any signature drinks as that's a good way to give your bar an identity. The bar tender was attentive and was willing to make us drinks if we gave her the ingredients which is why I gave it a three star. What an eclectic place! Have you ever wanted to drink with grandma? Well maybe just at her house... this would fill that void of desire. The selection is pretty slim, like what she has in her hidden liquor cabinet slim. But the biggest draw is the true tranquil comfort of feeling like she's going to walk in any minute with a grilled cheese and tomato soup for you. The shots are served in tea cups! It's a pretty unique place and one I would recommend if you can give it a try. Only downgraded 1 star because of the liquor selection. They do have some decent craft beers though. read more

The guy running the place didn't greet us at all...I could overlook that...but it almost felt like we were interrupting a hang out with his two friends who were sitting up at the bar with him. We had looked online before and saw a menu...and most places have a menu...so when he came up and said "what can I get you?" (in a very monotone/annoyed way, mind you) we asked for the menu and he just pointed at the wall of liquor and said "we have what's up here" and then walked away to unload a box that just got delivered... Aside from that being terrible customer service, I'm also just as confused as the last reviewer in saying - why don't they have a menu? This isn't a bowling alley...they are advertised as a "cocktail bar," which means I would expect cocktails...? Also, the inside looks way cooler online. Super kitschy, total vintage time bomb! I was not prepared for how amazing this place was - aesthetically, when I chose to WALK FIFTEEN MINUTES to get there. Literally perfect in every way EXCEPT the freakin people. The bartender acted annoyed to see us, asked rudely for our ids and served us without a smile but plenty of sass. He then proceeded to ignore everything else I said/asked him. The other patrons also looked annoyed to see us? Just a very uncomfortable experience. its a quaint bar that invites the hipster side clientele of say.. older richer folk? i'd call it trendy for say 30+ yo's? look like bunch of office type coworkers getting together for drinks, immersed in their own microcosms of pea coat lubber.. as it were.. i came for a lnsc event, britpop vs disco. and most of the nite less than a handful of other ppl dancing. lame af because music was good. not that igaf really, i dance what i wont! such a small dancefloor only fits like 10 ppl.. but shoutout to lnsc dj's for allowing me to access my inner grind ho for the night. bathroom is such fubar too-- 1 person at a time, 15 min wait to pp at prime time. to wit, it's a solid back to back with monarch, and between the two, drawing what seems to be a lion share of el paso's real music scene. yet more lounge than what seems not, i'd pick it up for a weekday drink, not to get that weekend twerk game. read more

What hasn't already been said about this place? I entered into this bar with dumbfound and amazement. It is exactly what has been described time and time again in all the reviews here: A kick-ass hipster bar located in your great-grandmother's living room. The decor in this place is unlike any I've seen at another establishment. It's floral-print sofas with the plastic covers. It's disgustingly ornate wallpapers behind an army of family photos. It fell just short of someone pinching my cheek when I walked in the door and handing me a chocolate chip cookie. Honestly though, if Grandma could mix a drink as well as this place can, I probably would have visited a lot more as a kid! On my way to this place, which I found on Yelp, I got lost. So I looked up their number on Google and gave it a call to try and figure out what I did wrong. For some reason, at the time, the number listed on Google was actually the owner's personal cell phone number. After an awkward exchange when he realized what was going on, he helped guide me to the spot (even though he was at his house and not even supposed to be working). The great impression starts there. After I found the place, which is terribly unassuming from the outside given the baroque, gaudy bombast of the interior, I was greeted by the bartender and beckoned to a bar stool. He was an extremely polite and friendly gentleman. He mixed me a fabulous old-fashioned, made some great suggestions for beer, and made me a tasty mystery cocktail when I asked to be "surprised" by the next round. Service was excellent. Interior was hilarious. Drinks were spot-on. Nothing more to say! BE ADVISED: There is a parking lot in the rear of the building and the bar itself is on the corner with an entrance from the corner and the side. This place is pretty small, so if it's busy or you come with a group be prepared to stand. read more

Jason is the best bartender, and their coconut watermelon lemonade specialty drink is one of the best drinks ever! Super wide selection of craft beers not to mention the atmosphere is so rad! A hidden jem in El Paso - we stumbled upon this inviting abode from the unstoppable, European-style house music. The terrific cocktails (well priced too), interesting decor (shouts out to Grandma's wallpaper !!), and fittingly-kitschy tea cups completely elevated our entire experience. This night really made our abridged layover in El Pass (first time - hollaaaaa) a superbly memorable experience. This place is sketchy after dark and all I have to say is ladies watch your drinks. I went here back in March with some friends. My gin martini definitely tasted off but I attributed it to being a bar I hadn't been to before. WRONG DECISION. I ended up blacking out shortly after leaving and the night did not end well. Came here on Valentine's Day and it was a really cool unique place that has all the laid-back comfort of grandmas house with all the amenities of a bar.
