I was visiting family for the holidays and my husband and sister in law were trying to find cool spots to grab food, drinks and listen to music. It was a Friday night, we arrived around 8pm and the restaurant was so busy and full of life. Music was blasting, ranging from reggaeton, to regional mexicana/banda, to pop. The prices for the food and drinks were all super cheap as well, so we knew we'd be ordering multiple items. Probably the best item we had was the arrachera quesadilla (can't remember the actual name in the menu for it). Our waiter was a young guy, constantly coming by asking if we wanted to add on to our order. We had multiple rounds of tequila shots and some mixed drinks, but definitely felt like the liquor was watered down. Before we took off, we even danced a couple of songs, giving us a club feel. Overall we loved it so much we had decided to come back the following Tuesday with more family. Well....we were left so disappointed. Everything was completely different. We arrived around 10, figured it being a Tuesday before Christmas Eve, it wouldn't be too busy. It seems that it was a lot busier than the restaurant had expected because they were definitely understaffed. Our waiter probably took 20 minutes to come to us to take our drink order and when he finally did, he stood in one end of the table struggling to hear us from the opposite end over the loud music. Don't understand why he couldn't simply walk over to our side. We waited another 10 minutes to actually get the drinks and for him to come around again to take our food order. Since service was so slow, we tried going straight to the bar and get drinks there, but they wouldn't take our orders because they had to be placed with our waiter. Food was pretty much the same, with the exception of the kitchen running out of multiple items by 11:30. I would have given this place 5 stars on the first visit alone: cheap food and drinks (great food quality for the value), absolutely great ambiance and fast/attentive service. But because we came back again and had such terrible and slow service, I'm giving them 3 stars. read more

This was first visit and I was not disappointed. Great choice for authentic tacos. The all the beverage extremely affordable. Service from the moment we entered was excellent. The server was very patient with me during order and made recommendations. The restaurant isis clean and upbeat. read more

this is the 4th time I've come here and again more than an hour wait to be served. they say me at the bar this time. I hoped that would give faster service and nope. barely any tables filled and didn't get served at all. read more

I have to admit that my wife and I's first impression wasn't the greatest. We had a few things that were warranting a negative review but the waitress was amazing. She gave us some ideas of things to eat and I'm glad we listened cause we really enjoyed it and even though there was a few things that I would consider negative in the beginning, it turned out to be great and would definitely come back. read more

Came in for$1 tacos on Tuesday. We were limited to only 3 types..I asked for ice tea they didn't have it then asked for a come zero which is in their menu.. they don't have any. Third i asked for water.. they only had bottled water at $1.99 ana lucky me out came with a dirty glass. I told the waiter and he said he'd replace it at no charge.. I was changed for it. Also what mexican food place doesn't have chips and salsa. Had to wait 25 minutes for out drink order and probably 15 more for our food which was brought out work 2 tacos at a time. Visited this location on 5/2/25 during lunch. They open at 12 so there was a line already forming form patrons that were ready to try out the anticipated location. I understand the place is new and staff is still learning but service was a little slow and somewhat confused. We had one person take our order and another that would bring out the drinks/food. Some of our items were not brought out so we had to reorder. Food was delicious, beers were cold. No complaints there. Service is the only aspect that needs a little help. Willing to change review if service improves. Looking forward to a great new place on the westside. read more

So, we are out at 9:30 pm looking for good food. Unfortunately, most restaurants on the westside close at 7 pm (not really but almost). So as went up and down Mesa from Sunland to Kirby and back, we saw Cervecería 19. We never tried it before because it looked more club than restaurant. And we were wrong and right at the same time. This place is like the restaurant bars in Juarez; think 33 (Treinta y Tres). First off, the doormen pat down all men as they enter. We are talking full belt-fingers-inside the waistline search. Personally I didn't mind -- felt like I was in my 30s again. Anyway, once seated at our table, our server Alex R was amazing! Attentive and friendly, she answered all questions and took our order quickly. Food wise, wife and I had the same thing, Tacos Arrachera Norteña. These were amazing - meat was tender, flavorful, and plenty. The corn tortilla it came on was perfect. And greasy!! Not gross greasy but tasty greasy. Separately, I had a Montadito Arrachera. Same as the Taco but on a flour tortilla and cheese. I normally love flour tortillas, but in this case, I think the corn tortillas were better. Wife had the Agua chile tostadas. She said they were great. For dessert we had churros. They were Disney Land churros -- meaning they were amazing!!!! While I didn't drink tonight, the wife has a strawberry daiquiri. She said it was very good. Wife gave four stars. She says both salsa's had no punch - not "picoso." But she is a fire eater and is notoriously tight with stars (see all my reviews). Overall I gave 5 stars -- good food, nice ambiance, and great staff. And the feel up at the door was nice too. lol. read more

My first time visiting this place, 10/17/25, unfortunately terrible experience, we arrived from out of town, drove from Dallas Tx, a little late, almost closing time, we asked for a bucket of beers, no one told us that they were closing in 30 min. That's not our terrible experience, the security came to our table and pick up drinks without a word, very aggressive, he looks mid size tall with glasses, he is the only one with this description. Very rude to my understanding. I am a manager for a manufacturing company and we must have customer service skills, future referrals, you know. Will think about twice going back to this place. read more
