Definitely give this place a try! It has been around many years and it had been a minute since I had returned. We were a party of 7 and the service was good, food spectacular and ambiance relaxing. Great traditional Mexican dishes. Like grandma would make!

First time at this restaurant and the service and food were phenomenal. I now can understand why there was a 'line' when we arrived and a longer 'line' when we departed. All of the food ordered was delicious and our waiter was an amazing young man that always on top of items being requested etc. The eating area was full of people all enjoying their meal and having a pleasant time. The entire place and bathrooms were very clean. A large parking area is available directly in front.

We hosted our annual Christmas party at Gabriels- anxious to get together with friends after the pandemic. Gabriel's restaurant was a wonderful venue and very hospitable. The wait staff was wonderful and the room was perfect! They had four items on the menu to choose from and allowed us the freedom to have our party games and favors. The food was GREAT and everyone had a marvelous time. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back! Our waitress Veronica was the BEST I've seen at a gathering that large. Thank you Veronica.

Absolutely love the rice and beans here! Food comes out quick. I came here with my mom for lunch. They have a new lunch special everyday that includes soup. Their fideo soup is delicious with the right amount of spice! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We moved to Colorado and moved back since 2018. I am not sure why we have not eaten at Gabriel's Cafe! The food was in point and delicious! We also had dessert and got the Apple Pie A La Mode!l! The service was top notch and the waitress was extremely attentive!

Came here for an employee Christmas party and drove right past it due to their sign being pretty dark during the night. They have decent amount of parking space and have nice people to greet you and take you to your seats. I really like the atmosphere here. Nice lighting, and furnished with an authentic Mexican style. The chips were fresh and crispy-not too hard. I really enjoyed their fresh verde salsa, I ended up using it on my rice and enchiladas too haha. I had tried their red cheese enchiladas, which came with rice, beans and lettuce. It was absolutely amazing. I did not have a huge appetite but I sure ate the crap out of it! The portions are well sized, not too little, not too much. My husband had the green chicken enchiladas and loved them! He doesn't usually like to spicy of food, and this was mild enough for him to take down. Their bar is pretty small but cute. They have beer, wine and cocktails, or you can simply order a shot of whiskey. I, of course had to try their margaritas, and they were the business!! They were huge, and not overloaded with that sour mix. I ordered two ;) They weren't expensive either! I paid roughly $5 for a margarita on the rocks. I really enjoyed the food, and the time I had here. I can definitely see myself coming back. I wish they delivered to my area, I'd totally order from there again. Its just a tad bit far from my house. I also hear they have dollar tacos, I probably will make the trip for those next :)

Dead environment

Food was decently good. But the Service was HORRIBLE. from the moment of walking in, they kept bringing someone to sit us and they kept passing it to the next person. Before we sat we were asked what we wanted to drink with no drink menu available. Food came at a decent time. We had to go ask someone for water because our waitress never came back. She sat across the restaurant to talk to another coworker. And on her phone.

My sister brought me here for authentic Mexican food and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors are way different than what I get up in MI. Food is fresh and the staff is friendly. I wish we had a place like this up in MI

Gabriel's Restaurant - El Paso, TX; very good authentic Mexican food, party venue, good servings, reasonable prices.

Food connoisseurs will eventually discover Gabriel's Restaurant, serving very good authentic Mexican food in El Paso, Texas. I was greeted with a smile, upon arrival. The waiter, Miguel and the host, Lauren, were both gregarious, very attentive to details and maintains good eye contact. Miguel gave me three options for dark beer. I tried them all: Indio, Dos XX and Negra Modelo. Miguel also recommended the best seafood dish, Camaron a la Plancha. The chips with green salsa and the Camaron were excellent. Kudos to the chef. The service was fast. The servings and the price were reasonable. A wheelchair will comfortably fit inside their ADA compliant restroom for men. It smelled good and clean. A paper towel dispenser was missing inside their restroom. On my next visit, I will bring my family, relatives and friends to Gabriel's Restaurant. El Taquito - Flautas- excellent!

Amazingly good flautas for an incredibly reasonable price. (They have other dishes too, but that's…read morewhat they are known for!) Beans and rice on the side are optional / modest extra charge - they are usually very good and worth adding if you're hungry enough. My favorite sauce is the Chipotle. It's got heat as it's also creamy...I would call it medium (I like spicy food.) If you're getting them to go, you might want the sauce and toppings on the side. They usually ask about that, but occasionally they might forget. Service is usually friendly and efficient even when they are busy. Your food is made to order, so it's fast but not instantaneous. Allow 5-10 minutes for pickup most of the time. The dining room is medium-sized. I would say it's a place to eat and go, not stay and linger.

We ordered the flautas with chipotle sauce and the chilaquiles with half red and half green sauce. The chilaquiles were absolutely amazing. We added a runny egg since we couldn't do chicken, and it gave the dish extra flavor and a good boost of protein. The flautas (which I'd honestly describe more as taquitos dorados) were crunchy and tasty. We liked the chipotle sauce that came with them, but we actually loved dipping them into the chilaquile sauce even more. Overall, it was a great spot to grab breakfast before hitting the road again for many more hours. Highly recommend!

I bumped it up to four stars for the super friendly service and the excellent aguas frescas. We got there late, about an hour before closing and they were literally trying to get rid of the aguas for free. I guess they have to dump it if they don't use it all. It was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Portion sizes are good. The taco platter comes with six tacos! I had the flautas Chinampa which came with four beef flautas, beans, rice, and salad. I forgot, the taco platter even came with a baked potato. Prices were excellent. We had gone to McDonald's in the morning and spent more. They also cave us frijoles charros for free. Not sure if this was standard or if they were also trying to get rid of it. I would return for the service and the convenience, but if you're looking for life changing Mexican cuisine, it's not here. What you get is a good amount of decent food at a good price served by great people.

Had multiple thousand Google reviews and they were all close to five stars. So I knew I had to check it out. It was super close to my hotel, so I popped in the car and found it without trouble. Trouble. Again, there is pretty limited parking so it's kind of hit and miss whether you'll find a spot or not. Fortunately, I did. When you walk up to the place, the building itself is pretty nondescript. They have a nice selection of outside seating, and your window to order is outside. Very nice lady at the counter gave me helpful suggestions and so I ordered three tacos and an amazing lime and cucumber fresca. Went in and sat down inside and was pleasantly surprised by the interior. It definitely had more of an upscale bar vibe to it than a Taco shop. The waiter that brought out my tacos told me that it turns into more of a nightclub after hours. I may have to go check that out. The tacos themselves were absolutely off the chain! The tortillas were blue corn and everything on it tasted so fresh and so wonderful. The carnitas was fantastic, the brisket Taco was to die for and the blackened shrimp Taco was one of the best I've ever had. Had. The flavors were so balanced and on point, it was one of the most satisfying taco experiences I have had!! I will probably hit this place up a couple more times before I leave El Paso. If you are in El Paso, you probably already know about this place. But I'm telling you what you cannot go wrong for tacos and that lime/ cucumber fresca! Bottom line? It's about 10 hours drive from Las Vegas to El Paso. And this Taco shop will give me a great reason to do a road trip anytime. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out!
