Okay, where to begin. I had been driving for about 12 and 1/2 hours straight and hadn't had anything since 9:00 a.m.. I was super hungry, and once I found my hotel I was pleased to find there was a restaurant right next door. So I thought I would go check it out When I walked in, this place definitely had a dive biker bar feel to it, but it was super packed for a Tuesday night. The lady behind the bar said sit wherever I'd like and she'd be right with me. It took her a little while to get to me as the place was pretty bumping so I can't fault her for that. She came up to the table and asked me what I'd like. I ordered the three sirloin tacos and an iced tea. She brought out the iced tea, and I had some chips and salsa while I waited. In fact, they tasted like they were bought a store, the real star was the salsa which was completely homemade and had a definite kick to it! I sat there for quite a while waiting for my tacos, after about 15 or 20 minutes she came by and said my tacos would be right out and got me a refill of my tea and some more chips. About another 10 minutes later the tacos finally arrived. They were served on one of those hot fajita plates.. well the style is correct, the plate itself was not hot. In fact, all of the food was lukewarm. Kind of disappointing when I was super starving, but I thought you know what. Let's at least give it a go. Aside from the food not being hot, the meat really did not have the flavor I was hoping for. I added the cilantro and Pico de gallo to the tacos. Hoping that would spice it up a little bit, but I was sorely mistaken. I ended up adding the green onion and some of the salsa from the chips and that at least gave it some kick. Even more disappointing was the rice and beans being lukewarm. My guess is they had my plate made at least 15 minutes ago and it just sat on the counter and no one picked it up. Sad, cuz I really wanted to like this place. At the end of the meal I sat there waiting for the check, and it didn't come. All of my chips and sat there with my wallet and credit card. Hoping to catch someone's attention. My server finally came over and apologized and took my card. A little while later she came back and said have a great evening. Was it all bad? No, it was not. I looked around at the other customers who seemed to be really enjoying the food so I'm just wondering if I caught a bad dish. Bottom line? I doubt that I'll ever come back here, but if I do I will be sure to report back to all of my friends in Yelpland and see if this place made it improvement. read more

When we entered, it was apparent that this was one of those small town Cafes where the locals congregate. There were Farmers, Law enforcement and Travelers from the surrounding hotels. The restaurant is not well identified but people apparently know its there. The restaurant is larger inside than it appears on the outside. Upon entering, there is a large bar on the left. The place was clean and our waitress was welcoming. The only thing that I didn't particularly care for was the Bassy music coming from the bar. I thought it was a little loud and disruptive in the restaurant. Otherwise, not a bad place. When I'm in town, I love the local Mexican food and most of these local cafes serve Mexican fare. So that's it then! We were promptly seated, served drinks and chips. I must say that I loved the green Chile salsa. Yum. For my main course, I ordered the Mexican plate. Yes, that's the one! It had a Taco, Enchiladas and a Chile Relleno. Every bite of it was delicious! There was nothing left but a Chile Relleno stub! Though this was my first visit to Mamacita's, I would not hesitate to eat here again. Good meal, thanks! read more

Stopped in last night while passing through Texas. And we we're Truly Impressed. I had the Fajitas Burrito and it was Amazing filled with lots of meat, peppers, onions . Cheryl had 2 taco's and thought they also were delicious. The service from Señorita Maria was Great. And to top it all off the place is listed as a 1$ sign. Yes it was inexpensive AND DELICIOUS so it can be done. Oh yes and Maria played My National Famous Pick your Tip from 6 choices and hit for a 100% Tip. A game I always ask servers if they like to Gamble and Have Fun. Tips range from 10% lowest to 100% Maria was a Big Winner and we could not be happier! read more

Very friendly, prompt service. Passed through here at the right time for Sunday breakfast. Had a delicious plate of chilaquiles with an excellent green sauce and eggs done exactly how I like them. The rest of the menu looked great. Seems to be many locals and a few travelers. Owner/manager makes the rounds to make sure everyone is well fed and happy. Great tacos... great atmosphere for a little west Texas stop on your way out of El Paso... hit the Clint exit for a sit down.

Definitely agree with the other posters that it's a great place to meet up with friends and just chill. It's sort of your typical bar joint. I haven't been to too many bars in my life though so take that with a grain of salt. The food was OK. Hubs enjoyed his buffalo chicken salad but my fajitas were meh. First time I've ever had fajitas that wasn't on a sizzling plate. Hubs said to suck it up because I shouldn't order fajitas at a bar but dude, it's a Mexican restaurant/bar! read more

Amazing food, the dining area is nice it's a bit cramped when you walk in to try and pick up an order, but overall 10/10.

Amazingly great food. Salsa is homemade and tasty! Huevos Rancheros was excellent, Service was friendly and fast.

Food is precooked. Order tacos the meat was burnt over cooked

Food is really good and so are the prices. It's a comfortable restaurant and the employees are really nice. Word to the wise though, service is slower than most restaurants. So, don't go if you're in a hurry. But if you want to just relax and catch up with friends and family, this place is perfect. read more

The food was great, and the waiters were very friendly, but i waited 20-30 minutes for my burger, slow service.

Horrible service, we were not greeted apon arrival and were ignored the full 10 minutes we were at a table sitting waiting on service. Ridiculous. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon after a landfill run for some local eats. The place was packed with locals and I-10 travelers. We were happy to see a clean little place that wasn't pretentious. We sat 'anywhere' after the friendly young man behind the bar offered. We quickly received some chips and salsa Verde (delicious!). We had some drinks while we waited for our food and enjoyed the friendly mix of people. The food came with a little delay as they were slammed with a group of riders and had only a few servers covering the bar and the dining room. But worth the wait... tacos made just like my mother's, an old fashioned burger for my daughter with some crispy fries, and a delicious enchilada plate for my son. Recommend you stop here on your way in, out or thru El Paso for a well made and delicious meal and a beer. Enjoy! read more

Super convenient when staying at the hotel next door. A nice spot for pretty much being in the middle of nowhere. The food was good, service was super friendly. Large bar, jukebox, etc. Seems like a place to meet up and hang out. I did really like that their tacos were a mix of a not super hard corn tortilla (clearly home made). read more

Good food, that taste homemade. The chicken wings are the best, not to mention the beer!

Nice gem. The place is small yet nice and the staff was friendly. Good spot for a drink and tasty Mexican food. I had the shrimp salad. Plentiful and flavorful. I'd come back and try more off the menu. My only confusion was with the guacamole. Instead of prepared guacamole, I got 1/2 an avocado. Made the guacamole myself but not what I expected. Otherwise, Well done read more
