Bacon-fat Washed Maple Old Fashioned
Love P.

Oak & Antler delivers elevated comfort food with excellent cocktails. We had our drinks at the table, starting with the bacon fat-washed maple old fashioned which was rich, savory, and beautifully balanced, as well as the Sandía Sol, which was bright and refreshing. Shout out to Anthony, the bartender. The deviled eggs and red and gold beet salad were solid, well-executed starters, and the shared southern fried chicken with macaroni and cheese was the highlight: crispy, juicy chicken and comforting mac that hits exactly the way you want it to. Warm service, relaxed pacing, and a menu that knows its strengths make Oak & Antler well worth the visit.

Pork chop

Had the pork chop.... And it lives up to the hype! Delicious! Wife had the half chicken and it was also delicious. Awesome place, great service, great drinks. Definitely will be back.

Mac and Cheese

We had such a great experience at Oak and Antler! We didn't even realize they had a happy hour, so that was a fun surprise. The deviled eggs and drinks we picked were only $7 ... such a good deal and absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the Southern Fried Chicken with hot honey on the side, and I went with the Atlantic Cod. Both dishes were incredible ... perfectly cooked, flavorful, and definitely worth coming back for. The whole experience was enjoyable from start to finish, and we're already looking forward to our next visit! Service was amazing!

Have you ever had a restaurant so amazing while on vacation that you actually are sad you don't live there? That was Oak & Antler for me. I don't even know where to begin my review because everything was stunning. They advertise themselves as an elevated dive bar with elevated being the key word here. The atmosphere was beautiful, the long bar at the back was such a pretty focal point, live music was playing, and there were sports playing above the bar but there were also intimate tables that screamed date night. We had Jeremiah as our waiter and he made us feel welcomed and important for the go. His recommendations were spot on and we were constantly being checked on. Now to the best part- the food! My best friend and I ordered the fried chicken and it is the best I've ever had. It is crunchy, flavorful, juicy, and an extremely generous portion. I loved dipping it in the hot honey that accompanied it. The pickles included weren't my favorite but that is such a small thing and honestly just a personal preference. I was stuffed after the chicken but it was so delicious that I had to try dessert because I knew they were going to knock that out of the park. I got the peach cobbler and OMG it was perfect. I just really cant say enough nice things about this place. Im going to make a trip to El Paso from Abq solely to support them because it is so obvious that an enormous amount of love and attention have gone into crafting something so wonderful.

The deviled eggs.... Tasty little bites!

One of the best surprises of 2025 came in the form of this beautiful establishment in good ol' El Paso, TX. I lived here twenty years ago and never imagined coming back to one of the best meals I've had the pleasure to eat. Parking was easy enough to find - a spot on the street right in front of the restaurant. Upon entering, I was taken aback by the tall ceilings, taxidermy pieces, and color scheme. But the real draw was the giant framed television in the back wall and the lounge area beneath it. The kind of place you'd want to meet up with friends for really good wine or fancy cocktails. The place was like a swanky, hip hunting lodge. The staff was very friendly. I was immediately greeted upon entering the restaurant. It wasn't terribly busy when I arrived and I was seated right away. Topo Chico and a house made lavender lemonade were perfect after just finishing a run. And then there was the food. Oh my, the food. Listen, this place had me at deviled eggs and pork chops. The deviled eggs had a generous amount of filling, even had a slight little kick that was unexpected but just right. I didn't hesitate to order the pork chop. It's the whole reason I came. The server recommended it be prepared medium to which I said "yes please." I also ordered the newly added cucumbers because a refreshing little bite sounded good. So much food but so worth it. The pork chop was delicious. I mean, so flavorful and melt in your mouth tender. I didn't know I could love a pork chop more. Then there were the black eyed peas and collard greens. I love me some collards and these were perfect. The peas? I could eat them at every meal - and I don't like legumes. But these were exceptional. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. From my sweet server who provided just the right amount of attentiveness, to the chef who came out of the kitchen to check on patrons, to the owner who shared the story of Oak & Antler and how it came to be what it is today. Overall, this gem with its southernish flare was the most pleasantly unexpected find and everything you could want in a dining experience while on a work trip. Kudos. And I can't wait to come back.

Where does one begin? Rarely does a business who just started serving food meet the expectations. It takes months for them to get the hang of it and get a routine. That's normally. In this case oak and antler already has it. Service was A+ Food was A-. Just cause the only thing that was good but didn't blow me away was the Mac and cheese. It was good not great. But I got the Pork Chop and it was really good! I'd go back for that. We also got the peach cobbler and I really liked it. The blueberries really added to it. But two things stole the show for me. The Bacon Fat Old Fashioned and the Brussel sprouts. I'm a sucker for goat cheese and honey! They did it right! But saw someone get the fried chicken so on my next visit I'm getting that. I need to try it.

One of the best spots in the heart of downtown El Paso, great hospitality, we showed up with out a reservation which is encouraged and they were able to find us a place to sit and dine. Highly recommend the Sandia Sol and the Rosemary Gimlet. Love music as well.

Salad

Service is very good and the food was well made. Ambon r was nice and there was live music.

Fried chicken

Food was absolutely exceptionally. Kevin was a phenomenal waiter, very attentive. Definitely coming back.

Japanese Sea Bass was yum!

We had a wonderful experience dining here. The food was amazing, the cocktails sublime and the ambience was so refreshing. We listened to an excellent saxophone player. Our waiter, Hector, was friendly, efficient and available. The manager/owner was thoughtful and attentive. Definitely go here.

The food was absolutely amazing -- everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. You could tell a lot of care went into both the menu and presentation. What really stood out, though, was how attentive and genuinely kind our server was throughout the evening. Even with how busy El Paso was that weekend, we never felt rushed or overlooked. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and it ended up being one of our favorite dining experiences of the trip. If I return to El Paso in the future, Neighbor Good Kitchen & Bar will definitely be on my list of places to visit again.

For starters I would say this spot was simply okay. I would bring some friends here for drinks and…read morevibes but I wouldn't come back on my own accord. For starters the atmosphere was so cute. Absolutely loved the bar and hanging pots everywhere. Such a clean restaurant and cute vibe. Our waitress was very nice and friendly to us. So no issues there! For drinks I got their berry lemonade which tasted just like lemon juice. I had to request for sugar to be added since it was so sour so beware. My food had came out and to be honest I'm just a little bit disappointed. The rigatoni was cooked but the sauce for it was really not tasty? Like there was almost not a flavor I can taste. Of course there was something but it was very plain and barely even there. It also was not spicy whatsoever. I added grilled chicken too and oh boy was that dry dry DRY. The burrata personally I'm not a fan in general so of course I wouldn't be a fan this time either but they gave a nice little plate full of it. They added some oiled toasted bread and it was way too crispy in my opinion. My partner got the chicken Parmesan and his dish tasted great! Very juicy chicken and cooked all the way. The sauce was perfect too nice and flavorful and great pairing with the chicken. His butter noodles were just like regular butter noodles so not bad. Finally the crème brûlée. Probably the most disappointing dish we ordered. It took repeated stabs to break the sugar glaze on top. Me and my partner were honestly thinking that they added the cream on top to hide how burnt it was actually. Unfortunately because the glaze was so thick and burnt it made the rest of the cream taste have the burnt flavor. It was sad because my partner was looking forward to this desert. Also took wayyy longer to arrive than our entrées. I will say that the waitress was very helpful and she actually covered the crème Brulé. I didn't even ask she just offered, I think she could tell that we didn't enjoy it and I had nicely told her it wasn't what we were expecting so thank you sincerely. Overall I think this is a perfect spot to maybe try drinks and hang with friends. Food was okay, wouldn't try it again in that regard but overall a decent spot here in El Paso if you're looking for something new. Maybe best to ask what's their best dish to serve. Overall thank you.

It became a special treat for our family while visiting our Tía in home hospice--and one of her last, most joyful bites. Food and our family's recipes are at the heart of who we are, so hearing my Tía Emma call it "magnificent" meant everything. While, we didn't dine in, we noted the atmosphere struck the right balance of upscale bar and grill on our two visits. Please note, this place get packed on weekend nights. Expectations and reality were nothing alike. As we were seated our waiter took 10 min to great us and then another 12 min to bring our drinks. I didn't think anything of it yet it was a precursor to the rest of our dinner. After he took our order our kids food came out in a very timely fashion but our two orders of salmon and one steak sandwich took 40 min to arrive at the table. What a ridiculous waste of my time because my sandwich was missing the fries ordered and our waiter thought nothing of it till I brought it up then he took another 10 min to bring my fries. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.

I say surprising because when we entered and for most of our meal, there was only one person waiting on tables despite several people entering the establishment--she even made everyone's drinks behind the bar! I ordered the Unbranded Smash burger since I was really craving one, and the photos looked amazing! Unfortunately, I would rate this burger a 3/5. The patty lacked flavor and honestly wasn't juicy compared to plenty of other smash burgers that I've had at other places. The pickles, cheese, and condiments honestly saved the burger some. I also ordered a mango virgin daiquiri, which was absolutely delicious and refreshing. Once again, I'm so surprised that the single person waiting on tables at the time was able to expertly make the drink despite handling everyone's orders. I feel like I might've just had a bad luck of the draw since my friends seemed to enjoy their meals since there was flavor. They ordered the Baja Fish Tacos, El Paso Hot Chick, and Mushroom Swiss Smash. Overall, I would give this place a solid 4, mainly because of the amazing service, the daiquiri, and the chill ambience.
