So I decided to give it a try since it's only a couple miles down the way from my hotel. Easy drive up the hill to get there, place was super easy to find. You cannot miss their logo. Ample parking in the lot so you don't have to worry When you walk in, it's a cheery little sports bar. Now from the exterior. I would have thought that this was a chain restaurant, the signage was pro and the outside of the building led me to believe that this was definitely a chain like Chili's or other restaurants. Restaurants. Like it's definitely not, and I love that about the place! I was seated right away in a table so I could check out the whole restaurant. Plenty of seeding on either table tops or high tops, not to mention bar seating. Plenty of options on the menu, I opted for the cheeseburger with bacon, and I also added hatch chilies on it. Asked for the fries well done. To drink, I had an iced tea. The iced tea came out first and was definitely cold but I got to say it was a little weak. Not sure what that was about, but it was still definitely drinkable. The burger came out and let me tell you it was freaking huge! I mean the burger with all of the toppings almost overpowered the bun. I couldn't really pick it up because the bottom bun was sort of falling apart so I cut it in half ate half of the burger with my fork and the other half with my hands. I will say this the burger itself was perfectly seasoned. The bacon could have been a little crispier but it was still very delicious. It came with fries and a metal bowl and those were seasoned great as well. For dessert, I decided to have the margarita lime cake, because it sounded amazing and looked amazing when it came to the table. Table however, the cake itself was very dry. It almost had the consistency of a tres leches cake except this did not have the tres leches so the cake itself was a little disappointing but it came with whipped cream and did have a layer of filling so that definitely helped. Bottom line? This was a great place to grab a bite to eat for lunch. It's got good ambiance. It's God solid Service and just needs a few extra tweaks to make it a five-star! I got a root beer, a small combo with brisket and of course some honey glazed spare ribs, green beans and corn on the cob. Though I haven been here In several months I could have swore it used to be a whole ear of corn in the past, not a cobette. I also wanted an appetizer to start of some of their fried mushrooms with gravy instead of ranch. My drink came right away, it was ice cold and the Root Beer right on point. Then I waited. And waited. And waited. Wondering after about 10 minutes now or so where my mushrooms were.... Waited a little more ... and out came my entree. With apologies, some mix up in the kitchen and mushrooms ??? So I said to cancel them, because I wanted them as an appetizer, to eat beforehand. So now that my food had arrived, I no longer needed them. So my waiter said he would. So I'm buttering my corn. Salt and peppering it, trying my green beans (so good, but needed some salt and pepper too), opening this tiny maybe 2oz thimble full of bbq sauce for all that meat on my plate, taking a bite out of my first spare rib and another gentleman shows up with a basket of mushrooms and ranch. Apologizing that mine actually got sent to another table so they had to make mine again. I chew the rib chunk in my mouth and tell him that I had cancelled them already because they were to be an appetizer. And I already had my food. He again apologized and asked could he just give them to me, after all they were already made, I told him i didn't want him to have to do that but he insisted. So I agreed. I didn't know how many I might eat now, I was already out of the notion. But it was nice of him to comp them and leave them. So my food. Ribs were amazing. As always. My brisket was either the first cut or last cut on the board. It was more like burnt ends. I had no nice slices of brisket. Everything was black tough char. Some small outer slices, some outer chunks. All crusted and black. I just kept telling myself, this must be what burnt ends are like! And used sauce to try and moisten it... but on most of it, that was impossible. It was hard, tough, hard to chew. Very flavorful for what it was and I have pretty good teeth. But I got no nice softer moist slices. I didn't complain, I just soldiered on and ate it all. My ribs were so good, this day I wish I'd just gotten them. The corn was very nice and kernels popped when you bit into them but they were cold? The cobette would not melt butter. I've never had that issue before. The mushrooms were piping hot so I could tell they were fresh made. But I only ate about 5. I was all about my plate by the time it came. So this wasn't 5 star visit this time. I will be back, they still have my favorite bbq sauce in town, it tastes like Central Texas Bbq Sauce. So the brisket and corn missed the mark this visit, normally they are both on point. And the Gentleman in the Red shirt went out of his way to correct a kitchen or other waitpersons mistake on my appetizer in a friendly quick manner and I greatly appreciate that. And I'll tell others. I think I'd say, don't serve customers all black first cuts or last cuts on brisket unless they ask for that, most of us are looking for some nice lean to moist tender slices when it comes to brisket, thank you.!

It was only a mile away from the hotel up a hill, so I made my way there. The A-frame building has very limited parking, but I was lucky to find a spot right out front. I would imagine on a Friday or Saturday night it gets kind of crazy, so you're going to want to get here early. I walked in and was told to sit wherever I would like, so I grabbed a table so I could take a look around and see what I was getting myself into. The place had a nice charm to it, it felt more like an old Tavern than a rib joint. Lots of bent seating and plenty of tables all around the facility. Waiter came up. Got my drink order and brought it back within moments. I had also asked for a water, but that never arrived. I decided to go for the rib Hut combo which was one beef rib, two spare ribs and three baby back ribs. They came out to the table pretty quick. I also ordered fries and onion rings, since you can't really have barbecue without fries and onion rings. Dish of barbecue sauce..... Vinegar-based, which is perfect for the area. The beef rib was definitely the star of the show. Had a great char on it, super moist, and very flavorful. Flavorful. Addition of the barbecue sauce definitely helps, and that was gone in moments. Honestly, the baby backs were not that good. They were pretty overcooked and had very little meat on them. The spare rib was pretty tasty, had plenty of meat and was incredibly flavorful. Was this the best barbecue I have ever had? No. But it was darn good, and I cleaned my plate. I definitely think they could step up their service a little bit, my waiter only came by to check on me once, I had run out of ice in my iced tea early on and he never came by to replace it. After I was done, I was sitting and waiting for my bill for probably an easy 10 minutes or so. The place wasn't super busy, but I'm a pretty forgiving person. Bottom line? If this place stepped up on their service it would be a five all the way around. I would just sell the kitchen to take a little more care with the ribs as they definitely were overcooked.
