Great food and service! Destiny gave me great recommendations for my first time here on my drive through El Paso

We just flew in from Dallas, I had taste for a good burger. I searched google and Toro Burger Bar popped up. We gave it a try and it was delicious. The atmosphere was great, they had FIFA on . The waitress was very nice and friendly. I will highly recommend it read more

We continue coming back to this spot because their food options are great. However the owner really needs to reconsider new chairs. They cut into your hips and are not comfortable for sitting. The food is great except the club sandwich we had today. It's way too greasy and was not great at all. They use Texas toast, which is thick and they butter all sides. It made eating the sandwich pretty nasty as our fingers ended up all greasy with every bite. I recommend only adding butter to the bread in the middle. The outside breads do not need butter. Just toasted. The cooks forgot to add the bacon, which we ended up having to call out, and the cooks were eating in the back, which is very unprofessional!! if we would've been comp'd for anything it would've made the experience better, but it's like they don't care. Overall, I'm pretty over this place. Not worth our money at this point. We've enjoyed the waitress/waiters. They've been great overall!! read more

My business partner and I were flying out on a one day business trip and stop by here since it was close to the airport. I now know where I will be stopping for lunch every time I fly through El Paso. We got there at the beginning of lunch and luckily ordered before lunch rush came in. They come in quickly and it fills up quickly. The staff was amazing and was right on top of their game for an entire lunch. I started with a small side house salad. That salad was so good with the fresh blue cheese and walnuts and cranberries. Then I had to Toro burger that burger was cooked perfectly and tasted so good. Let me tell you those onion rings are super crispy and lots of flavor too. We will definitely be back and I wanna try everything on their menu. read more

My husband & I have gone to toro Burger on Montana for years. We go at least once per week & have always gotten excellent service from Cassandra. Lately, we have gone in the last weeks & service is horrible. The first time I noticed Cassandra wasn't there, there was two new male hires. Neither one knew what they were doing. After that, we went in & the female that was suppose to be our server, wouldn't even look our way. No drink order or food order. We walked out. Toro burger is not the same without Cassandra. We love Toro but the service is not what it used to be when Cassandra was attending to us. That makes us really sad. read more

I really enjoyed the Toro Burger, upgraded to Elk. I had it prepared medium rare, and enjoyed every bite! The bun is perfectly toasted, and the sauce is savory goodness with the elk patty. The service is great! There are a few TVs if you want to watch a game. The music happened to be pop edm tonight, and it's definitely a bar/restaurant for hanging out. Our work group from out of town came here for dinner tonight. I checked previous Yelp reviews to find somewhere to eat in the area, and I was pretty excited to try the burgers and fries here. It was unfortunately not anything we hoped it would be. When we arrived, we were hit with a smell like moldy sour beer. The smell permeated the restaurant as even when we sat further inside, it was still very strong. Our server did a great job with taking our order and bringing the food, but the cadence of everything was very off in the whole restaurant. I don't think they had enough staff to handle the demand, but it wasn't really that busy either. The menu was pretty extensive with choices. The fries were pretty stale and not very hot. The white truffle fries seemed to just have parmesan on them - no truffle taste. I got the green chili burger cooked medium, and it was pretty delicious. My co-workers thought their burgers were just okay. I won't return to this restaurant next time I want a burger. read more

HORRIBLE food and service! my husband asked for a margarita and the server didn't know how to make one, then we ordered some appetizers basically burned all the way through, we asked for our burgers well done, we got them and the meat was raw, not to mention I'm pregnant, server never even tried to say let me get the manager or anything. I was delighted to be able to order a hamburger on a gluten-free bun! Their fries are not gluten-free, since they are cooked in the same oil as breaded items, but the hamburger was delicious. I was able to sub a side salad instead of fries, and the service was wonderful. I'll go back! read more

Definitely do not recommend for anyone with gluten-free needs. Don't waste your time like we did. We asked before being seated if they could accommodate our Celiac son with a gluten-free bun. They said yes. Fries are cross-contaminated, so I ran down the street to grab him Chick-fil-A fries while my husband ordered the food. After waiting nearly 40 minutes for our food, the waitress finally came out and told us they don't have gluten-free buns after all. Incredibly frustrating. read more

Very disappointing!!!!! Tonight's visit was very disappointing!!!! This place is by my hotel so I made a return visit tonight. I wanted something light so I ordered the BLT. This was the most pathetic BLT I have ever had!!! They should have been embarrassed to serve this thing. Had I dined in I would have most definitely sent it back. Total waste of money!! Also they failed to include the side of Toro sauce I requested. I guess I have not found the perfect place after all. My experience with the burger on Friday was fantastic, one of the best burgers I have ever had. I wish I could say the same about the BLT. read more

We door dashed a build your own burger and Mac and cheese and onion rings when I say everything tasted like nothing! Everything was seasonless. What a find! I have a couple of hours to kill. I have not been to El Paso before and the idea of a burger bar sounded appealing. I am having a Caribbean mule ( local take on the Moscow Mule). They have amazing burgers. You can build your own or order one of their special ones. For an extra charge you can order exotic meats like emu or buffalo or Kobe beef. The Hawaiian looks amazing. I am not that hungry, so they let me get some chicken and fries off the children's menu. (Special thanks to my server for that) They are playing my favorite music from the 80s and 90s. I do love me some Cindy Lauper. This place is small and I imagine it gets crowded in the evening. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend. read more

Had high hopes for this restaurant. The menu looked great. Unfortunately the customer service was a bit disappointing. I was promptly seated and brought a menu but no one came to even take my drink order. I watched 3 people get seated and have their order taken. I even went to the bar and tried to order but was told that someone would come get my order. I don't blame the staff as there were only two waitresses and they were also working the bar. Once I got my food (45 minutes after arriving) it was very good. The burger was great and the cheese fries were awesome. Would have a higher rating if the service had been better. I was craving a burger after a long workout (intensity) and I wanted to spoil myself a bit. This place was right around the corner and was not full for a weeknight. I was helped by Nazira and she recommended the Rise and Shine, which was great. Although there were only two servers for the restaurant, Nazira was attentive and recommended excellent choices. The burgers and sides were so tasty. The only hesitation giving a 5 rating is that we must have drawn the short stick for servers. Our server seemed too busy to check in with us. It was almost as if our server was trying to avoid eye contact. I appreciate being left to enjoy my meal, but it was a minute before we were able to order, order more, and get our bill. There is also a peculiar smell to the place. It isn't a restaurant smell, it's like air fresher and something else that isn't very pleasant. read more

This joint is ahright. Sat at the bar. Nice selection of beer on tap. They have a full bar but didn't partake of any cocktails. Nice selection of burger concoctions or build your own. Food is good. Service slow, food poor quality, ridiculous prices Santiago Chile Airport (SCL), Toro Gourmet Burgers: This was quite possibly the worst meal I've eaten in a decade. Such poor quality, slow service and ridiculous prices that I decided to create a yelp account just to write this review. Since they are not on Yelp, this will do. It's my hope that someone out there reads this and decides to "go to the other place", trust me it's better. My wife's burger lacked meat, and was so thin that it fell apart. My sandwich had lots of cheese but very little meat. Trust me, you will be cheated out of meat and it will look nothing like the picture. They charge almost $3 for "to go supplies" which is just napkins and some ketchup packets. On top of that the burgers were EXTREMELY disappointing. Especially their Kobe burger which is supposed to be their most expensive meat. read more

amazing food our server Vivian was so knowledgeable about their menu! she was so polite and very very patient. our cook Victor made the mistake of delicious salmon lettuce wrap wuth grilled onion and grilled mushr very tasty!!! I know I came on Easter Sunday, but by 9 pm in a place open till midnight, with it at half capacity, you should have more staff than three. Good service trumps labor costs, you wouldn't have had my business if I wasn't feeling patient. Took the poor kid behind the bar nearly 5 minutes to acknowledge me, then another ten to take my order. Simple order, burger to go, beer while I wait. Another 5-10 minutes before I get my drink. For a place advertised as a bar, 25 minutes from walk in to beer in hand, not very good. I typically walk out after three minutes. Seriously, it's six people at the bar and three people at tables. It's not that busy. Ordered at 8:50, it's 9:20, no sign of food. Can't sit on the patio because they took the tables away, so now I'm sitting in a metal corral with a bunch of stacked up chairs, like some hoarders place, and a GMC Denali park with their headlights on blasting me with light. So not a comfortable smoke/vape section. The guy sitting next to me who showed up after me, and ordered the same exact thing got his order Finally get my order, I do the two minute walk back to my hotel room, fries are lukewarm, whatever. The boar burger is advertised as "wild boar/ sweet apple compote / swiss cheese/ blue cheese gravy / mixed greens" I got an over cooked mystery meat patty on top of lettuce with a bun. No cheese, no sweet apple, compote, no blue cheese gravy, nothing else. This could be squirrel meat for all I fucking know. Very disappointed, will not go back. Do not recommend. read more

This is probably the most conflicted Yelp I can write. So here's my bottom line: great burger, but there is a terrible smell in the restaurant. I recommend the AAA burger, if you want an old fashioned Bobs Big Boy equivalent. It was moist, cooked exactly how I asked, and nothing was burnt. The bread was soft and buttery, shredded lettuce, cheese, tomato, and 1000 island sauce. A really great burger We shared an order of fries and really enjoyed the house salad with goat cheese, raspberry vinaigrette, and candied walnuts. Regarding the staff, we had the sweetest, hard working and very attentive waitress. No issues there! ************management: PLEASE take a full day and hire the professionals to thoroughly clean the entire restaurant. The pungent smell in the restaurant is close to urine or ammonia. I do admit that if you hang out for a little while, you get a little use to it. But the initial funk slap is pretty hardcore. Even for me and I've been around the world and have smelt some funky establishments I think you've grown nose blind and I did see a couple come in and decided to eat outside in the 90 degree heat. This is the only amazing burger I've had in El Paso. I have no idea how they turn a profit with such cheap prices, but I'm sure not complaining. Where else can you have dinner and enough beer to catch a buzz for less than $20? I've interacted with a lot of the staff, and every single person is super friendly... literally can't say enough good things about Toro. I upgraded for $1 to the tots which was cooked to perfection so good!!! The service was fantastic our bartender/ server Will was attentive had no issues with all my questions since it was my first time here. He kept my water full at all times without requesting a refill. Management walked the restaurant and approached all the table including us at the bar who also happened to be the cook. They as a team gave first class service!!!
