Went on a date to try a new burger place while getting the car serviced at a west side dealership. We've heard about the about Chase the Taste which was originally a Food Truck and decided to give it a try. Plus we love supporting local businesses. Immediately we were greeted and the woman answered our questions. We prefer the Green chili burger and the smash burger with an appetizer of onion rings. They brought everyone out at once- it was hot, gooey, juicy and amazing. The onion rings had the perfect crunch and were delicious. The green chili burger had a slight spice but not hot, just flavorful. I ordered the smash burger and the amount of meat on that burger was astounding. While the store front itself is a bit bare and could use some sprucing up to make it more fun or stand out, it was by far the cleanest restaurant I have ever stepped foot in. This place is wiped down after every guest very well (not just a quick wipe down but very clean) even the bathroom was extremely clean. Over all great food, quick service, clean place to eat. Would recommend but mostly for the burgers, everything else is just icing on the cake. read more

Very small and cozy place with a welcoming atmosphere. We started off with the buffalo cauliflower wings and they did not disappoint. They were very crunchy and cooked perfectly. I thought they were chicken at first. Our order arrived very fast after and look great. The chicken pesto sandwich was loaded and the chicken was juicy and charred perfectly. Today (7/24/25) my wife and son and I went for a second time, from the Far East side! We promised to bring my son when he came from San Antonio. The ambiance is so friendly, comfortable, and clean! The food was OUTSTANDING, once again! And the crew of Randy (chef and owner), Ski (she made great recommendations), and Ricky (assistant chef) were all AMAZING, COURTEOUS, FRIENDLY, and WELCOMING. It felt like we were eating at their house! Unlike anywhere else in El Paso! As for the food, my wife had her favorite, the "Ahi Tuna Burger", which again was cooked to rare perfection. Nobody even comes close to Randy's Ahi Tuna Burger! So tender flavorful and filling! My son had what I had last time, the "OG Borracho Burger", which was also cooked to perfection and had all of its various flavors tasting like and orchestra in perfect symphony...easily the BEST BURGER IN EL PASO, hands down! And I got the "Fish Tacos", per Randy's recommendation, and I am so glad that he did! The fish was cooked to perfection and married excellently with the slaw and red onions on top, and their sauce! Needless to say, we were all so SATISFIED and CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK! I'm from Dallas and I found this place via Yelp due to good reviews. It was excellent. We had the fish tacos, burger, and veggie burger with a wonderful house salad. Everything was delicious. I would eat here again in a heartbeat. The other nice thing was we sat and visited for a few hours in which we didn't disturb anyone. They had Korean tacos as a special, so of course, I had to get some for Taco Tuesday! The Korean tacos were placed on a wrap of fresh jicama, and it was so refreshing, like eating a salad but tastier. Lol! And of course, I had to get the OG Borracho burger! It's definitely an El Paso creation with an Angus burger patty char-broiled to perfection, cheddar cheese, and a mix of hatch chilies, bacon, chorizo, and grilled onions. They topped it off with an over easy egg. El Paso loves sauces on their burgers, and the juicier it is, the more the bun has to stay intact to enjoy everything without burning your hands or falling apart. This time around, it didn't fall apart and was delicious. They did change the buns, and it's a game changer! The buns now actually holds everything together without disintegrating. I have tried the OG burger, Green Chile burger and the Classic. The burgers have a flame broiled taste and the meat does not taste frozen. The burgers are a generous size and paired with shoestring French fries. You can get them plain, seasoned, or upgraded to carne asada for an additional price. The service has been great each time. Chase the Taste is GREAT! Located right in the ever growing in popularity, North Hills Crossing shopping center in the northeast of El Paso. It's small, so don't bring a group, but it's still for sure worth a try. It used to be a food truck, and not sure if they still operate out of a food truck for special events, but now here we have a brick and mortar establishment! The staff is always great and super friendly. You walk in, order at the counter, and then have a seat wherever, and they will bring your food to you. Really cool menu, often with unique items you might not find elsewhere. The Brisket Sandwich is my absolute GO-TO, and sweet potato fries. I swear I will eat that thing like 5 times a day if I could. It is absolutely delicious. And that's saying a lot for a place that is not labeled as a BBQ place. I'm not sure what they do or where they even get their brisket from, but I don't care! It's amazing and I'm not gonna ask lol. Just keep making it! Alcohol is available here too. Not sure to what extent, as I don't drink, but they for sure have beer available to have a cold one with your meal. Y'all go check it out! Lunchtime date with the wifey. Tried the green chile burger with seasoned fries and the fish tacos with seasoned fries. Really enjoyed the large burger. It was cooked very well, still juicy. The fires had a good flavor. The fish tacos were also very good. The slaw was good, just a tad too much covering it all. The pickled onions gave it the right amount of acidity. The offer beer now, so that's another added bonus. Some on tap and some bottled. Would really like to see this place more like a restaurant rather than a fast food restaurant. It's has the potential to be a good place for a dinner date or a hangout spot with friends. Good flame-broiled burgers but WAY overpriced for the area. The last time I paid over $16 for a burger, I was in Manhattan. For two double burgers and two drinks, the cost was $41 before tax. We also had some cauliflower bites but since most people are looking for burgers, I'll just post the cost of those. However, I do not recommend the cauliflower bites because after deep frying, they cover with hot sauce, which makes the breading soggy and who wants to eat soggy breaded cauliflower? Service was fine but they have the annoying tip screen come up at the ordering register (no table-side waiters). I mean, really, what am I tipping you for at this point? For taking my order? Note that they charge you 4% for using your credit or debit card instead of cash. When you consider the already sky-high prices, 4% is even more meaningful. Anyway, the interior is nice for a fast-casual burger joint. In summary, it seems like a nice place with cordial workers but I don't think we'll be back due to the high prices. I can go to Burger King for a flame-broiled burger. In fact, they taste exactly the same. read more

I don't expect major cost relief when eating in El Paso, but I expect a difference. And at these prices, I'd expect this restaurant to stand out. What I got here wasn't Tex-Mex, wasn't fusion, wasn't original. I got the OG burger and sweet potato fries. There are several US airports that offer fare like this. The food truck had some edge to it. What happened? One difference is I felt the upsell pretty hard. All the recommendations I heard about were the expensive plates. Friendly staff, same old game. You can tell when everyone on staff points to the same high-dollar plates. It's a corporate chain vibe. I came here to feel something different. read more
