Within walking distance of the plaza holiday lights, the fam and me decided to stop by and check this lil hidden gem out. It was lil empty when we got but as soon we sat down groups came in...we brought the rush.. lol. I ordered the green chili burger. It looks like all burgers are double meat. My burger came with a cup of fries and I ordered a Mexican coke to drink it all down. About 10-15 minutes later the food came out and the burger was huge, big enough to have its own plate. I placed a to-go order for 6 flautas, a torta De pastor, and fries. The restaurant was understaffed and I had to wait an extra 15 minutes despite ordering 20 minutes ahead of time. They informed me that they had run out of al pastor meat and added a beef frank to the burger instead. The flautas were not very flavorful and were too oily. The torta had good flavor, but I personally didn't like the beef frank they added. The fries aren't very good wouldn't waste money on them. Found this gem around the corner from our hotel. The place feels a little understaffed but the workers handled the rush with ease. The pastor meat has a spice to it so definitely worth to note. The bread on the torta was fresh and crisp. Everything felt and tasted very fresh. They do need a big menu above the register when walking in. Would make it more welcoming to first timers. This place was definitely a great find. Stumbled upon through yelp. The server, Jocy, definitely was attentive and quickly advised on things to order, including add ons. I tried the flautas and frijoles charros, definitely had great meat, tender and juicy with salsa, sour cream and cheese. The burger my finance got looked and smelled amazing. I definitely had to steal a bite ! We also had the nachos as appetizer with pastor and asada! They did need more cheese and some jalapeños. But over all great place ! read more

I cannot express how disappointed I was at this place. After seeing it on fit fam and other social media accounts I was excited to try it and even told my coworker about it. We decided to order online for delivery since we work Downtown. We were happy to see they had a promotion on Thursday's of BOGO torta, so we decided to go with that. We enrolled online and added the coupon to our order. To our surprise, when they delivered it, we only received one torta. I called thinking no biggie they probably just forgot. When I called the person who answered transferred me to the manager because she couldn't explain to me why that happened. The manager then explained to me that the promotion does not apply for delivery orders. I asked that was not disclosed at all on their website. I asked her if then I could go in person to pick it up and she said that I would have to buy a new one. I thought it was ridiculous and asked to speak to a manager and she said she was the manager with attitude, and that there was nothing I could do. I called again because my coworker was more upset than me, and asked for them to come back for the torta and give me a refund since it was false advertising, and the gentleman that answered had the worst tone and attitude and told me to just throw away the torta!!! I was shocked as I did not expect that response. I was expecting a little more consideration, as customer service worker I could not understand how a restaurant that just started be so rude. They could have easily explained the situation and apologize for the misunderstanding, instead of telling me to just throw away the food. heard about this place on IG and we came HUNGRY. long story short -- food 3/5, ambiance 4.5/5, service 5/5 we ordered 3 different burgers HAHA cuz were starving. each burger comes with fries and has the option to add other ingredients on it. we got the guacamole burger, al pastor burger, and the juarito burger. i would say my favorite was definitely the guacamole burger. i didn't like how the other burgers included just a slice of ham in there xD i like my burgers more simple (juicy beef patty with good sauces) HAHA. there's nothing too special about the buns or the sauces but it definitely hit the spot. each burger also comes with 2 patties so they are pretty big. the loaded fries are also not bad. crunchy crispy fries are my thing, but the fries here are a little soggy and unseasoned.... i loved the ambiance of the restaurant though! it's lively and not too busy which i liked. would come back and try their flautas next time! read more

Went here for supper this evening and the food was really good. I ordered the flautas and the nachos chelitos. One "interesting" thing that I noticed was that the nachos chelitos were on the front and the back of the menu. Both had the same cost, but different ingredients (the one I wanted had steak and the other didnt). This confused me, but luckily the correct ones were delivered. The flautas were good, but not great. I must admit that the red sauce that came with them had good heat and great flavor. Probably my favorite part of the dish, and I wish I had gotten MUCH more. Would have happily had my food swimming in it! The nachos on the other hand I found to be some of the best I have had in El Paso. They use nacho cheese, shredded cheese, avocado and plenty of meat. They were definitely alot of food for the cost. The service was a bit lacking, but there was only 1 person doing the service. Even taking this into account, I think that she could have been better. We ordered drinks, and after several minutes had to ask her for them for them to actually get delivered. They were a couple of bottles, so usually a pretty quick turn around. The food was delivered in a decent time and I dug in. I didnt have a bill, so went and stood at the counter (not sure if that is the correct process or not?). I plan on going back, but they dont seem to have consistent hours. I have been by a couple of times during the day (the door says 7-5) but they were closed. Tonight I stopped in at 7:30 and they had quite a few customers. I wish I could figure out when they are for sure open, rather then just having to stop by. This is the reason that I couldnt give them 5 stars. read more

We are from California and know good Mexican food , so we were excited to find that Chelito's had a 4.8 star rating on Yelp. We ordered the steak tacos, which were good (street tacos style), the chicken sandwich, which was delicious, and the appetizer nachos that would have been good had they been more heated through. The cheese didn't even melt on them. We would have given this restaurant 5 stars if the nachos were heat hot. read more

The new location near UTEP is terrific! The blue cheese burger was great. The fries with extra cheese were also delicious. What made it even better was the manager. He was a real hoot. Fun, articulate. They could charge extra for the entertainment. Too bad they don't have locations in Montreal, where are are from. We highly recommend the place. :-) read more

Went to the downtown location. Had seen some videos on social media and it looked good so I decided to check it out. I was extremely disappointed. We went on a Saturday and at the time we went it wasn't that packed so we we sat down I expected it would be a timely experience. I was wrong. With not that many people there it took forever for them to get our order, forever to get our food. On top of that the guy who took our order first greeted us by telling us what they didn't have or ran out of. Which was a lot. So we ordered what they did have. I ordered a blue cheese burger and my gf ordered the pastor tacos. Shortly after we ordered he came back and told my gf they were out of charro beans as her side so we had to change her order. The food took forever to come out. I was hungry which made it worse. I figured the food would be worth the wait. I was also wrong. The burger was mediocre. And I love burgers so I'm very easily to please. My gfs pastor tacos were very seasoned to the point where it tasted too salty. And the macaroni salad was absolutley horrible. No seasoning whatsoever, very bland AND it had lettuce in it. I've never seen lettuce in macaroni salad before and for good reason. The lettuce was wilted. Not a good experience at all. Paid 34 dollars for a burger, tacos and 2 cokes. I feel cheated. read more

Found this little place a block away from down town Plaza and food was very good. They have real friendly staff. They have on Fridays and Saturdsys a Flauta Plate Special of buy one get one FREE. So basically you get 2 plates of Flautas for $9.99. We also order the Chelito's Fries and they were awsome. Freshly cut homemade fries with nacho cheese, pico de gallo, carne al pastor, aguacate, cilantro, y crema. Mmmm, delicious and the flautas were freshly made too. If you go to downtown, I really recommend this corner place. read more
